A Design of Communication Protocol for Fire Detection by Using MANGO ZDK Development Tool (MANGO ZDK 개발툴을 이용한 화재감지용 통신 프로토콜 개발)

  • When a fire happens in builds or apartments, peoples are tend to be caught in dangerous situations owing to the failure of searching escape route to the outside. In this work, an efficient fire detection and alarm system which makes it possible for the escapers to take adequate actions is proposed. The proposed system consists of two parts. One is fire detection modules which are located at each compartments in a building. The other is fire warning modules equipped with portable flashes having ability of visual/voice warning. Fire detection information is transmitted between each modules wirelessly. In this work, an efficient communication protocol for sensor network-based fire detection system is proposed and its feasibility is verified by practical experiments using MANGO ZDK Development tools

  • Epoxidized polybutadiene (EPB) was prepared by polybutadiene (PB) with m-chloroperbenzoic acid (MCPBA) in homogeneous solution. EPB was blended with poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) up to 30 wt% by solution-precipitation procedure. The thermal decomposition of PHB/EPB blends was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The thermograms of PHB/EPB blends contained a two-step degradation process, while that of pure PHB sample exhibited only one-step degradation process. This degradation behavior of PHB/EPB blends, which have a higher thermal stability as measured by maximum decomposition temperature and residual weight, is probably due to crosslinking reactions of the epoxide groups in the EPB component with the carboxyl chain ends of PHB fragments during the degradation process, and the occurrence of such reactions can be assigned to the exothermic peaks in their DTA thermograms.

  • The above theorm states that much larger classes of differential games have an equilibrium. The most severe assumption is the second one. It requires that state dynamic equations be linear on his own control variables. But, the dynamic programming approach applied in the above is hardly implementable for the purpose of computation. It is very difficult to solve (SP$_{it}$) directly. Notice, however, the problem can be transformed into a Hamiltonian maximization problem which is easy to solve if initial conditions are given. In this way, it is possible to design a solution algorithm to problems with nonlinear constraints. The above two theorems probide a basis for such an algorithm.m.

  • The analysis involves an adaptive grid that is created under a criterion of element categorization of filling states and locations in the total region at each time step. By using an adaptive grid wherein the elements, finer than those in internal and external regions, are distributed at the surface region through refinement and coarsening procedures, a more efficient analysis of transient fluid flow with free surface is achieved. Using the proposed numerical technique, the collapse of a dam is analyzed. The numerical results agree well with the theoretical solutions as well as with the experimental results. Through comparisons with the numerical results of several cases using different types of grids, the efficiency of the proposed technique is verified.

  • The authors, R&D member of DAWONSYS and Soongsil University, are developing 5000kW smelting inverter system by 2007 under the sponsor from Korea Energy Management Corporation. As a part of the project, 2500kW inverter system has developed in 2005[6], and installed in real production site, and has been running for 7 months successfully. This report deals with the test result of 2500kW smelting inverter system and design for 5000kW smelting inverter system which is final target of this project.

  • Temperature-dependent current-voltage characteristics of Organic Light-Emitting Diodes(OLEDs) were studied. The OLEDs were based on the molecular compounds, N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1'-diphenyl-4,4'-diamine (TPD) as a hole transport and tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum($Alq_3$) as an electron transport and emissive material. The current-voltage characteristics were measured in the temperature range of 10[K] and 300[K]. A conduction mechanism in OLEDs was interpreted in terms of tunneling and trap-filled limited current.

  • 전자문서보관소와 같이 대규모의 전자문서가 저장되는 시스템은 어떤 특정한 방법을 기준으로 해당 데이터를 저장한다. 이는 데이터의 저장, 검색, 송수신, 보안 요소 등 여러 가지 요구사항에서 기인하며, 이를 근거로 설계 되어야 한다. 본고에서는 현재 이슈가 되고 있는 전자문서보관소의 적합한 데이터 저장 방법에 대하여 알아보고 이를 안전하게 관리하기 위한 방법을 접근제어 측면에서 생각하여 보기로 한다.

  • Influence of Velocity and Temperature on Streaming Electrification of Insulating Oil is investigated by injection method. Leakage current is increased slightly with increasing temperature in the temperature range 20 to $80^{\circ}C$ at low flow rate, however, it show a peak in the temperature 40 to $60^{\circ}C$ at high flow rate. Leakage current is also increased linearly with increasing flow rate in the flow rate range 1 - 31/min but thereafter, it is increased abruptly with increasing flow rate.

  • 본 논문에서는 Langmuir-Blodgett법으로 유기초박막을 제작하기 위하여 시료인 (N-docosyl pyridinium)-TCNQ(1:2) 작제를 합성하고 이를 초박막으로 제작한 다음, U.V측정, capacitance측정, 그리고 기판과 수직한 방향의 도전율등을 측정하여 막이 잘 이루어지고 있음을 확인하였다. 한편, 하부 전극을 Al로 할 경우 전극표면에 생기는 자연 산화막(Al$_{2}$O$_{3}$)의 두께는 37.1.angs.정도이었으며 기관과 수직한 방향의 도전율은 약 $10^{-14}$S/cm로 양호한 절연성이었다.

  • Due to the high density and heating value, liquid fuel is attractive for ramjet propulsion system. Liquid fuel requires time to evaporation and mix with incoming air before ignition; insufficient evaporation and mixing result in low combustion efficiency and instability. So the numerical studies are conducted to investigate the spray and combustion characteristics of a liquid-fueled dump type Ramjet combustor. The governing equations are solved by means of a finite-volume using time derivative preconditioning method for chemical reacting flow. The liquid phase is treated by solving Lagrangian equations of motion and transport for the life histories of a statistically significant sample of individual droplets.
