Fabrication and Output Characteristics of Compact Capacitor Transfer XeCl Laser (용량이행영 소형 XeCl레이저 제작 및 출력특성)

  • Small XeCl laser of charge transfer discharge excitation was fabricated and output charateristics were investigated according to gas mixture ratio. Beam cross section of 2.7cm${\times}$1.5cm was obtained by constructing excimer laser which preionization is operated automatically and which has chang profile electrode. According to the component gas mixture ratio, the condition of maximum output energy, efficiency were investigated. The maximum energy, efficiency and specific energy were obtained 230 mJ, 1.6% and 1.1 J/l, respectively. The long pulse effect is observed by constructing low peaking to main capacitance ratio of 1:3.

  • This paper had mentioned about CCP light source application for increasing the efficiency of Xe lamp the mercury-free lamp. In order to increase the efficiency of Xe EEFL, we designed and manufactured the lamp used by mixture gas of Xe, Ne and He. Also, we have analyzed the electrical and optical properties with the firing voltage, sustain voltage, paschen's curve, wall charge, and capacitance. As a result, the firing voltage decreased by increasing the ration of mixture gas. and, It is owing to include the gas with high ionization energy. The firing voltage decreased in condition happening the penning effect, Because the ion of metastable state created from penning effect, Which can encourage the ionization phenomena. Also, the wavelength of 467.12 is increase. because of the energy transition in the wavelength of 147 nm. therefore, we can know about the affection of phosphor with UV emission properties. Through an experiment, Xe 100 % and Xe 75 % confirmed same spectrum properties by each mixture gas ratio. In the case of Xe 50 %, spectrum properties appeared Xe discharge and Ne-He discharge. That analyzed an electrical and optical properties. Therefore, confirmed that is excellent because properties of firing voltage, wall charge, capacitance in Xe 50 %, Ne : He = 9 : 1. We offered parameter in inverter manufacture and lamp manufacture by electrical and optical properties.

Simulation Anaysis on the Output Characteristics of XeF$(C\rightarrowA$ Excimer Laser Pumped by Electron-Beam (전자빔여기 XeF$(C\rightarrowA$ 엑시머 레이저의 출력특성에 대한 시뮬레이션 해석)

  • By the use of computer simulation including collisional mixing kinetic processes of the B- and C-state in the upper laser level the output characteristics of electron-beam pumped XeF$(C\rightarrowA$ excimer laser are analyzed. We compared the results between experiments and simulations for the $XeF^*(C)$ formation that correlated the number of densities of the $XeF^*(B)$. We obtained good agreement$(28.5 mJ\pm5%)$ with comparisons between experiment and simulation and confirmed the optimal gas mixing ratio of $Xe/F_2/Ar=5.26/0.49/94.28%$ at atmospheric pressure laser medium under the condition of 70 ns [FWHM] electron-beam (800 kV, 21 kA). Also through the simulation we have investigated that the $XeF^*(C)$ formation channel, the $XeF^*(C)$ relaxation channel, and the absorption channel of bluegreen wavelength region as a function of F2 halogen donor and Xe partial pressure. ssure.

  • One of the most important issues in AC PDP is the improvement of luminous efficiency. One possible method for achieving this aim is by increasing Xe partial pressure in discharge gas mixture. The increase of Xe ratio, however, causes the driving voltage to rise, even if brightness is increased. In this study, a new electrode shape is proposed. A test panel fabricated by using a new electrode shows that efficacy has improved by 25 % and sustain voltage has decreased by 20 % compared with the conventional structure.

  • AC-PDPs have recently achieved good performance and their image quality can sufficiently compete with the LCD TV. However, it is necessary more effort to improve the luminance and luminous efficacy in the PDP technology. The gas mixture ratio plays a very important role in discharge characteristics, but the mechanism of gas discharge is complex and complicated. In this paper, we investigate the mechanism of gas discharge with Ne+Xe miture ratio through zero and two dimensional fluid simulation.

  • The improvement of luminance and luminous efficiency is the one of the most important part in AC-PDPs. To achieve high luminance and luminous efficiency, high VUV emission efficiency is needed. We measured the emission spectra of vacuum ultraviolet(VUV) rays in surface discharge AC-PDP with binary and ternary gas mixtures of Ne-Xe and He-Ne-Xe. The influence of He-Ne-Xe gas-mixture ratio on excited $Xe^{\ast}$ resonant atoms and $Xe_2$$^{\ast}$ dimers has been investigated. It is found that luminous efficiency of ternary gas mixture, He-Ne-Xe, is shown to be much higher than that of binary gas mixture of Ne-Xe.

  • Recently color AC PDP(plasma display panel) technology is rapidly improved. However, the luminous efficiency improvement is a key issue for making plasma display into a large-area flat display. In this paper, we suggest a new concentration of Xe in He-Ne-Xe gas mixture in order to achieve a high luminous efficiency of color AC PDPs. We calculated the densities of 25 species as a function of the time zero dimensional simulation using CVODE solver and we compared the results of zero dimensional simulation with a measurement of photo wave brightness and luminous efficiency, in order to find the optimum mixing condition of He-Ne-Xe gas in color plasma display panel. We obtained a high discharge speed under Xe mixing ratio of 1% by simulation and confirmed that through measuring photo wave.
