With the introduction to ebXML and web service related standards, enterprises struggle to adapt to the rapidly evolving technology to meet the complex needs of the enterprise customer. The ability to integrate and interoperate individual services within enterprise and with other enterprise's information technology infrastructure using standard-based business processes is an important element of business process management system. For over 25 years EDI has established VAN based solution of exchanging business information in electronic form. However EDI solutions are only accessible to large organizations due to the cost factor. Moreover lack of well accepted B2B business process standards is hindering the success of promoting interoperability between organizations of any size. ebXML work is focused on defining the standard B2B business process context and its runtime semantics in order to remove these hindrances. However ebXML framework does not recommend any particular implementation model to interact with enterprise internal system. This paper propose a end to end business process management architecture by applying ebXML in the front end of the enterprise system and using BPEL to integrate front end services into related services within enterprise.

In these days, HIS(Hospital Information System) raise the quality of medical services by effective management of medical records. As computing environment was developed, it is possible to search information quickly. But, standard medical data exchange is not completed between medical clinic and another organ so far. In case of patient transfer, past medical record was not efficiently transmitted. It be feasible treatment delay or medical accident. It is trouble that medical records is transferred by a person and communicate with each other. Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simple, very flexible text format derived from SGML. Originally designed to meet the challenges of large-scale electronic publishing, XML is also playing an increasingly important role in the exchange of a wide variety of data on the Web and elsewhere. Form in system of company product, relative organs that handle bio-signal data is each other dissimilar and integration and to transmit to supplement bottleneck this research uses XML. In this study, it is discussed about sharing of medical data using XML web technology to standard medical record between hospital and relative organization The data structure model was designed to manage bio-signal data and patient record. We experimented about data transmission and all-in-one between different systems (one make use of MS-SQL database system and the other manage existent bio-signal data in itself form in file in this research). In order to search and refer medical record, the web-based system was implemented. The system that can be shared medical data was tested to estimate the merits of XML. Implemented XML schema confirms data transmission between different data system and integration result.

In e-Marketplace, many companies are participating frequently either as supplier or as customer. Thus, electronic processing of transactions and flexible integration with participating companies' processes are required. These situation requires process integration using workflow and the exchange of transaction document using XML(eXtensible Markup Language). This paper presents methodologies to model business processes in e-Marketplace where many companies are participating and to exchange electronic messages using ebXML that have become a standard in electronic commerce. These methodologies can integrate and manage processes in electronic commerce environment, and can process ebXML standard documents efficiently, making electronic commerce more harmoniously in global market. The system constructed in this research supports business processes between companies by exchanging XML messages conforming Wf-XML and ebXML standards using SOAP protocol.

최근 인터넷에서 사용되고 있는 하이퍼텍스트 생성 언어(HTML : Hyper Text Markup Language)는 제한된 태그(Tag)들을 사용하기 때문에 문서를 구조화시키지 못해 정보 축적과 정의추출 방법이 비효율적이고 추출한 정보의 가공이 어렵다. 그러나 확장성 생성 언어 (XML ； eXtensible Markup Language)는 사용자가 문서상에 사용될 태그를 자유롭게 정의할 수 있고 다른 사람들도 그 태그를 사용할 수 있기 때문에 HTML에 비해 정보 축적과 정보추출 방법이 용이하다. 서로 다른 데이터베이스를 사용하고 있는 항만 관련 업체들간의 물류에 관한 정보를 공유하거나 교환하기 위해서는 HTML이 아닌 XML이 더 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 항만업체들의 요구를 수용하기 위해 XML을 이용하여 웹에서 이기종 데이터베이스 관리 시스템(DBMS ; Database Management System)간의 데이터 복제 및 정보를 교환할 수 있는 웹 에이전트 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

KORMARC used in library bibliographic information, had been pointed several weaknesses such as inflexibility lack of link information and compatibility. In addition, a sudden increase in digital information associated with development of internet is demanding an integration of web resources metadata as the resource of library information. This study mentioned XML/KORMARC system or adaption of XML standard format turned out to be the most efficient way to use KORMARC formats and to expand the range of those information service such as bibliographic information, factual information, referral information and full-text.

최근 대부분의 기업들이 비즈니스 목적으로 인터넷을 사용하고 있다. 각 기업은 웹사이트를 통하여 다양한 정보를 교환하고, 전자 상거래 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 이러한 추세에 따라 왱 사이트에서 유지, 관리해야 할 컨텐츠의 양은 방대해지고 있고, 컨텐츠의 갱신 주기도 점점 짧아지고 있다. 또한. 컨텐츠의 내용이 점차 전문화, 세분화되는 경향을 띠고 있어 각 기업들은 웹사이트의 컨텐츠 관리에 대한 많은 어려움에 직면하게 되었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 웹사이트의 컨텐츠를 보다 효율적이고 편리하게 생성, 유지, 관리하기 위한 웹 컨텐츠 관리 시스템의 개발이 절실히 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 XML로 작성된 컴포넌트를 기반으로 동적 웹 페이지를 생성하는 기능을 제공하는 웹 컨텐츠 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다.

차세대 디지털 방송은 다양한 서비스와 함께 방송 사용자와 제공자 사이의 양방향 통신을 가능하게 한다. 새로운 방송 환경을 위한 중요한 요소 중 하나는 분산되어있는 환경에서 여러 소비자와 공급자 간의 상호운용성의 유지에 있다. 이를 위하여 디지털 방송을 위한 메타데이타의 표준이 제안되었고, TV-Anytime 메타데이타는 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위한 차세대 방송 표준 메타데이타의 하나이다. TV-Anytime 메타데이타는 향후 다양한 서비스로의 확장을 위하여 그 말단이 MPEG-7으로 정의되어 있다. MPEG-7은 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 기술하기 위한 메타데이타 표준으로, 방송용 컨텐츠를 기술하기 위해서 사용된다면 내용기반 검색과 같은 다양한 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 방송용 메타데이타를 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 시스템은 실제 방송 환경에서 사용자에게 보다 질 좋은 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 필수적이다. 방송용 메타데이타의 가장 큰 특징 중 하나는 단일의 XML 스키마를 기반으로 XML로 기술된다는 것이다. 이러한 점은 기존의 XML 관리 시스템을 사용하여 방송용 메타데이타를 관리할 수 있다는 가능성을 보인다. 그러나 이들 대부분은 범용적인 방법을 사용하여 XML데이타를 관리하고 있으므로 방송용 메타데이타를 관리하기 위한 특화된 방법으로 보기는 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 방송용 메타데이타의 특성을 파악하여 방송 환경에 적절한 방송용 메타데이타 관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 우리의 메타데이타 관리 시스템은 실제 방송 환경에서 사용되는 표준 메타데이타를 기반으로 구현하므로, 방송 환경에 최적의 기능을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한, 우리는 방송용 메타데이타의 검색을 위한 질의어로 XML 표준 질의어인 XQuery를 사용하여 시스템 간의 상호 운용성을 확보할 수 있도록 한다.

21세기 지식기반사회를 맞이하여 도서관은 정보를 지식화하고, 지식화된 정보를 자동으로 추출하여 제공할 수 있는 사용자 편의를 지향한 정보서비스를 필요로 하고 있다. 정보의 지식 처리를 위해서는 문서가 다양한 의미를 표현할 할 수 있는 XML 문서의 형태로 되어야 한다. 본 연구는 문서의 효율적인 교환과 제공을 위하여 XML 문서의 데이터 모델링 개념을 활용하여, 일반 텍스트 문서를 XML 문서로 변환하는 시스템을 구현하였다.

오늘날 지식과 정보 교류의 기반이 인터넷으로 옮겨지면서 기업도 인터넷을 활용한 정보공유와 경제활동에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 표현 위주의 하이퍼텍스트 마크업 언어(HTML : HyperText Markup Language)는 제한된 태그들을 사용하므로 문서를 구조화시키지 못하고 정보를 저장하거나 추출하는 방법이 비효율적이다. 반면에, 확장성 마크업 언어(XML : eXtensible Markup Language)는 사용자가 문서상에 사용될 태그를 정의할 수 있고 구조적인 데이터를 위해 만들어진 언어이므로 HTML에 비해 정보추출이 용이하다. 따라서 기업의 상업적인 데이터가 저장되어 있는 데이터베이스에서 필요한 데이터를 추출하여 웹에서 교환하기 위해서는 HTML보다는 XML이 더 적합하다. 본 논문에서는 이기종 데이터베이스 관리 시스템(DBMS : DataBase Management System)간의 데이터 관리와 XML 문서와 데이터베이스간의 정보 교환에 대하여 연구하고 XML을 매개물로 이용하여 이기종 DBMS간의 정보를 교환할 수 있는 웹 에이전트 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

현대 산업에 있어 그 비중이 급속히 증가하고 있는 물류산업의 효율적인 업무 처리와 국제 경쟁력 확보를 위하여 물류정보시스템 구축이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이는 컴퓨터 기술의 발달과 함께 시간, 인력 및 비용이 많이 소요되던 종래의 거래서류 처리업무를 EDI 로 처리함으로써 가능해졌다고 볼 수 있다. 거의 30 여년간 기업간 온라인 상거래의 기본 수단으로 이용되어 온 EDI 의 동적인 변화 대응부족이나 고가의 네트워크 유지비용 등의 문제점을 극복하기 위해 유연한 변화수용 능력과 뛰어난 확장성을 가진 차세대 웹 문서인 XML을 이용한 XML/EDI가 등장하였다. XML/EDI는 XML, EDI, Agent, Template, Repository 의 5 가지 요소로 구성되어 있으며, 다른 요소들의 기본이 되는 Repository 는 거래에 필요한XML/EDI 태그들의 정의 및 의미를 저장하고 있으며 거래 당사자들이 검색하여 볼 수 있는 인터넷상의 공유 디렉토리를 말한다. 본 연구는 XML/EDI 물류정보시스템 구축을 위한 전 단계로서 현재 개념 적으로만 정립되어 있는 Global XML Repository 의 구성에 관한 연구이다. 특히 KEDIFACT 표준을 따르는 물류 EDI 를 바탕으로 Global XML Repository 내의 구성요소들을 정의하고 체계적으로 분류하는 것을 중점적으로 연구하였다.
