An Efficient XML Data Management System Using an MMDB (MMDB를 이용한 효율적인 XML 처리 시스템)

  • 인터넷을 통한 응용 프로그램의 통합과 다양한 정보의 등장으로 인해 정보를 원활히 교환하고 관리 저장할 수 있는 정보 시스템의 요구가 급증하고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 등장한 XML은 기존의 데이터베이스 관리 시스템과 연동하여 다양한 플랫폼과 이질의 데이터에 관계없이 저장과 관리가 용이하며, 데이터 교환을 최적화 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML 문서의 논리적인 구조정보를 표현하는 DTD와 Database Schema 간의 변환구조를 MMDB에 저장하므로써 XML DTD를 기반으로 Database Schema를 설계하고 XML DTD건의 변환 구조를 효율적으로 관리하는 방안을 제시한다. 이렇게 함으로써 빈번하게 사용되는 XML DTD 변환 정보를 메모리에 상주하게 되고, 그 결과 디스크 출입회수를 줄이게 되어 XML을 사용하는 응용에서 XML Data에 대한 처리 효율성을 높일 수 있게 된다.

  • For effective web-based teaching and learning, it is necessary to estimate. whether activities for it have attained to the learning goal. In HTML and file based item pool systems, it is difficult to manage, to create questions into various forms, and to share with other systems. It is also not easy to provide suitable questions according to the level of learners. On the contrary, XML document can systematically create a structured information. Since XML represents a structure with meaningful information units, it can be effectively used to manage, search, and store documents. Therefore, we designed and implemented a web-based item pool system based on XML, which can support leveled assessment by analyzing the level of learners and providing appropriate questions according to it.

  • Access control techniques should be flexible enough to support all protection granularity levels. Since access control policies are very likely to be specified in relation to document types, it is necessary to properly manage a situation in which documents fail to be dealt with by the existing access control policies. The existing access control has not taken information structures and semantics into full account due to the fundamental limitations of HTML. In addition, access control for XML documents allows only read operations, and there exists the problem of slowing down system performance due to the complex authorization evaluation process. In order to resolve this problem, this paper designs a XML Access Control Management System which is capable of making fined-grained access control. And then, in developing an access control system, it describes the subject and object policies of authorization for XML document on which authorization levels should be specified and which access control should be performed.

  • It is difficult to merge text document and to remake use of documents on the most collaborative document authoring system using text document, and also to provide the storage place for saving and keeping documents. It has vulnerable drawbacks about the security though it provides the accessible abilities due to basing it on Web. In this paper, we design and implementation the collaborative document authoring system for XML document to improve a couple of problems on these systems. For these, we based on the DOM to manipulate the modeling object documents and utilized RMI on this system without considering socket communication when it transmits and receives Java objects. We improved the security through processes of authentication. By providing templates and editing functions such as annotation, visualization of document structures, we made easier making collaborative document authoring more than ever.

  • Recently, in various fields XML has been become a standard for information exchange in internet. Therefore, the researches on data modeling for storing and fetching the XML documents have been made actively. However, existing researches have weak points that they can support neither versioning nor fast fetching of documents while changing documents in dynamic environments. In this paper, we propose four kinds of hybrid data modeling schemes that combine fragmentation model and nonfragmentation model. Our data modeling schemes are suitable to dynamic environments. We also present guidelines that our hybrid data modeling schemes can be used for various applications. We shaw through various experiments that our hybrid schemes partially outperforms the existing modeling schemes in terms of insertion time, storage space and retrieval time.

  • XML was applied to web-Based application system for efficient data supervision and processing. Also, ASP permitted embodiment of easy web-Based programming, and UML is studied by the new alternative of system modelling techniques. Thus, In this paper see embodied student taking a course application management system using XML, ASP, UML. This was composed, and used XML for effective data supervision and processing by student mode and administrator mode. Also, It used UML for systems analysis and design, and whole system implemented by ASP. And, Database implemented to used in MS-ACCESS, and it used java Script language for efficient practical use of web document.

  • For using the knowledge of experts diversely and efficiently, it is very important that the system could represent the complex knowledge in well structured manner and also adapt well to the frequent schema changes. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for knowledge base management by using XML based templates. In our proposed method, to solve the inefficiency of management of many XML documents, we represent the complex knowledge on XML-based templates, and manage the templates structurally by using a meta-template that defines relationship among the templates. In order to show the effectiveness of our method, we developed a knowledge base to formulate an exercise prescription for a subject and an application program to classify the subject's fitness. The experimental study shows that XML-based templates provide a flexible, extensible and structured way of representing expert knowledge. The inference using XML-based templates can be controlled systematically and efficiently by using meta-template.

  • XML is being watched with keen interest for the communication and saving of information. Information represented in XML provides more accuracy and a higher-speed of reference after the process of being implication. But, it is difficult that XML document is exchanged or shared in different area such as electronic commerce or digital library. Because, XML document is being different in syntax but similar in logic, with using structured difference analysis. In this thesis, we converted object-oriented class diagram to XML DTD and designed an index mechanism based on the structure information for the converted XML DTD. With our methods, we could effectively and lastly retrieve the specific element and respect to usefully access element by simple operations.

  • 최근 차세대 인터넷 환경의 표준 데이터 포맷으로 각광받고 있는 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)을 사용한 전자상거래 규격에 대한 국 내외적 표준화 작업이 가속화 되고있으며, 아울러 기업간 전자문서 교환시의 인증 및 보안문제 또한 필수적인 사항이 되어가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML표준화 기구에서 정의한 명세서 기반의 XSS(XML Secu.ity Suite) 라이브러리를 이용하여 기업간 전자문서 교환시 발생하는 보안문제를 해결하기 위한 전자서명 관리 시스템을 연구하였다.

  • EDI를 사용한 전자문서 처리는 두 기업간의 데이터를 전달하기 위해 VAN을 이용하여 데이터를 전달했으나 VAN의 폐쇄성으로 인해 확장에 문제가 제시되었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 다양한 문서구조 표현이 가능한 XML (eXtensible Markup Language)을 활용한 EDI 서비스 환경으로 옮겨가고 있다. 본 논문에서는 JDBC 브리지를 사용하여 두 관계형 데이터베이스에 존재하는 EDI 메시지를 브러커시스템를 이용한 XML 변환기법을 제안한다. 변환된 XML을 사용하여 스키마를 그대로 복구하는 동시에 정의된 테이블에 원래 레코드들을 그대로 삽입하는 방법을 제시하면서, 반드시 동일한 데이터베이스 관리시스템을 사용해야 한다는 전제조건을 필요했던 기존방식을 탈피했으며 외부로 전달할 경우 환경에 따라 제대로 동작하지 않을 가능성이 높았던 제한점을 극복했다.
