기계적 합금법으로 제조한 Mg3-xZnxSb2의 열전물성 (Thermoelectric Properties of Mg3-xZnxSb2 Fabricated by Mechanical Alloying)

  • $Mg_{3-x}Zn_xSb_2$ powders with x = 0-1.2 were fabricated by mechanical alloying in a planetary ball mill with a speed of 350 rpm for 24 hrs and then hot pressed under a pressure of 70 MPa at 773 K for 2 hrs. It was found that there were systematic shifts in the X-ray diffraction peaks of $Mg_3Sb_2$ (x = 0) toward a higher angle with increasing Zn for both the powder and the bulk sample and finally the phase of $Mg_{1.86}Zn_{1.14}Sb_2$ was formed at the Zn content of x = 1.2. The $Mg_{3-x}Zn_xSb_2$ compounds had nano-sized grains of 21-30 nm for the powder and 28-66 nm for the hot pressed specimens. The electrical conductivity of hot pressed $Mg_{3-x}Zn_xSb_2$ increased with increasing Zn content and temperature from 33 $Sm^{-1}$ for x = 0 to 13,026 $Sm^{-1}$ for x = 1.2 at 323 K. The samples for all the compositions from x = 0 to x = 1.2 had positive Seebeck coefficients, which decreased with increasing Zn content and temperature, which resulted from the increased charge carrier concentration. Most of the samples had relatively low thermal conductivities comparable to the high performance thermoelectric materials. The dimensionless figure of merit of $Mg_{3-x}Zn_xSb_2$ was directly proportional to the Zn content except for the compound with Zn = 1.2 at high temperature. The $Mg_{3-x}Zn_xSb_2$ compound with Zn = 0.8 had the largest value of ZT, 0.33 at 723 K.

  • Let R be a 3!-torsion free semiprime ring, and let $D:R{\rightarrow}R$ be a Jordan derivation on a semiprime ring R. In this case, we show that [D(x), x]D(x) = 0 if and only if D(x)[D(x), x] = 0 for every $x{\in}R$. In particular, let A be a Banach algebra with rad(A). If D is a continuous linear Jordan derivation on A, then we see that $[D(x),x]D(x){\in}rad(A)$ if and only if $[D(x),x]D(x){\in}rad(A)$ for all $x{\in}A$.

  • A random vector $\b{X} = (X_1,\cdots,X_n)$ is weakly associated if and only if for every pair of partitions $\b{X}_1 = (X_{\pi(1)},\cdots,X_{\pi(k)}), \b{X}_2 = (X_{\pi(k+1),\cdots,X_{\pi(n)})$ of $\b{X}, P(\b{X}_1 \in A, \b{X}_2 \in B) \geq P(\b{X}_1 \in A)\b{P}(\b{X}_2 \in B)$ whenever A and B are open upper sets and $\pi$ is a permutation of ${1,\cdots,n}$. In this paper, we develop notions of weak positive dependence, which are weaker than a positive version of negative association (weak association) but stronger than positive orthant dependence by arguments similar to those of Shaked. We also illustrate some concepts of a particular interest. Various properties and interrelationships are derived.

  • Let $\varepsilon_#(X)$ be the subgroups of $\varepsilon(X)$ consisting of homotopy classes of self-homotopy equivalences that fix homotopy groups through the dimension of X and $\varepsilon_*(X) $ be the subgroup of $\varepsilon(X)$ that fix homology groups for all dimension. In this paper, we establish some connections between the homotopy group of X and the subgroup $\varepsilon_#(X)\cap\varepsilon_*(X)\;of\;\varepsilon(X)$. We also give some relations between $\pi_n(W)$, as well as a generalized Gottlieb group $G_n^f(W,X)$, and a subset $M_{#N}^f(X,W)$ of [X, W]. Finally we establish a connection between the coGottlieb group of X and the subgroup of $\varepsilon(X)$ consisting of homotopy classes of self-homotopy equivalences that fix cohomology groups.

  • LPE(liquid phase epiraxy)법으로 성장시킨 $Al_{x}$ Ga$_{1-x}$As (0.15.leq.x.leq.0.67) 에피층의 구조적 특성을 이중결정 X-선 회절장치를 사용하여 조사하였다. GaAs기판과 $Al_{x}$ Ga$_{1-x}$As 에피층의 격자상수 차이로 인해 피이크가 분리되었고 이는 조성비가 증가함에 따라 선형적으로 증가하였다. 그리고 조성비는 Vegard의 법칙으로 구한 값과 기판 및 에피층 피이크 사이 각도분리(.DELTA..theta.)를 측정함으로써 구한 값이 일치하였으며 이때 관계식은 .DELTA..theta.=354.x을 얻었다. 또한 성장된 에피층은 compressive stress를 받고 있으며 조성비(x)가 0.15에서 0.67로 증가함에 따라 응력은 증가하였으며 그리고 피이크의 반치폭으로 부터 계산된 전위밀도가 역시 증가하였다.

  • The main objective of this paper is to study the boundedness character, the periodic character and the global stability of the positive solutions of the following difference equation $x_{n+1}=\frac{{\alpha}x_n+{\beta}x_{n-1}+{\gamma}x_{n-2}+{\delta}x_{n-3}}{Ax_n+Bx_{n-1}+Cx_{n-2}+Dx{n-3}}$, n=0, 1, 1, ... where the coefficients A, B, C, D, ${\alpha},\;{\beta},\;{\gamma},\;{\delta}$ and the initial conditions x-3, x-2, x-1, x0 are arbitrary positive real numbers.

  • In this paper, we establish some characterizations which is satisfied by the independence of the upper record values from the Pareto distribution. We prove that $X\;{\in}\;PAR(1,\;{\beta})$, $\beta$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(m)}}$ and $X_{U(m)}$, $1\;{\le}\;m\;<\;n$ are independent. We show that $X\;{\in}\;PAR(1,\;{\beta})$, $\beta$ > 0 if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n)}+X_{U{(n+1)}}}{X_{U(n)}}$ and $X_{U(n)}$, $n\;{\ge}\;1$ are independent. And we characterize that $X\;{\in}\;PAR(1,\;{\beta})$, $\beta$ > 0, if and only if $\frac{X_{U(n)}}{X_{U(n)}+X_{U{(n+1)}}}$ and $X_{U(n)}$, $n\;{\ge}\;1$ are independent.

  • Let $f$ denote a mapping from an orthogonality space ($\mathcal{X}$, ${\bot}$) into a real Banach space $\mathcal{Y}$. In this paper, we prove the Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the orthogonally cubic functional equations $f(2x+y)+f(2x-y)=2f(x+y)+2f(x-y)+12f(x)$ and $f(x+y+2z)+f(x+y-2z)+f(2x)+f(2y)=2f(x+y)+4f(x+z)+4f(x-z)+4f(y+z)+4f(y-z)$, where $x{\bot}y$, $y{\bot}z$, $x{\bot}z$.

  • A series of $Ca_{1-x}Sr_{x}S:Mn$ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reactions. The emission peaks of $Ca_{1-x}Sr_{x}S:Mn$ is blue shifted front 605 to 570 nm with increasing Sr content. Since $Ca_{1-x}Sr_{x}S:Mn$. Mn phosphors exhibit strong absorption in region of 254 nm, the emission wavelength of a fluorescent lamp, these phosphors can be used as wavelength tunable emitting phosphors from reddish orange to yellow. We investigated the optical and structural properties of $Ca_{1-x}Sr_{x}S:Mn$ phosphors.

  • MBE에 의해 성장된 Zn$_{1-x}$ Fe$_{x}$Se박막의 미세구조가 고분해능 투과전자현미경에 의해 연구되었다.Zn$_{1-x}$ Fe$_{x}$Se 박막에서 CuAu-l과 CuPt의 규칙격자가 발견되었다. 이 규칙격자는 전자 회절과 단면 고분해능 격자 이미지에 의해 조사되었다.CuAu-l규칙격자는 (001)InP기판 위에 성장된 Zn$_{1-x}$ Fe$_{x}$Se(x=0.43)에서 관찰되었고, 반면에 CuPt규칙격자는 (001)GaAs기판 위에 성장된 Zn$_{1-x}$ Fe$_{x}$Se(x=0.43)에서 관찰되었다.43)에서 관찰되었다.
