Oversampling-Based Ensemble Learning Methods for Imbalanced Data (불균형 데이터 처리를 위한 과표본화 기반 앙상블 학습 기법)

  • Handwritten character recognition data is usually imbalanced because it is collected from the natural language sentences written by different writers. The imbalanced data can cause seriously negative effect on the performance of most of machine learning algorithms. But this problem is typically ignored in handwritten character recognition, because it is considered that most of difficulties in handwritten character recognition is caused by the high variance in data set and similar shapes between characters. We propose the oversampling-based ensemble learning methods to solve imbalanced data problem in handwritten character recognition and to improve the recognition accuracy. Also we show that proposed method achieved improvements in recognition accuracy of minor classes as well as overall recognition accuracy empirically.

  • It's important to study about suitable substitutional material of expensive silica fume because it used widely for silica fume as a high-strength mortar binding agent. The main purpose of this study is to check which is the most efficient binder for the expensive silica fume's alternative material. And this study also present basic data about to make high-strength mortar when we use alternative material instead of silica fume through research outcome. Also writers analzed flow properties respectively, so it was founded out the substitutional goods fare like meta-kaolin, HMBA which are less expensive than silica fume because they are in domestic enough.

  • The study focused on Jean-Luc Godard's about the relationship between visual effects and psychoanalysis of the film. Godar set up an interpreter for communication between the scenario adaptors and producers, producers and directors, producers and interpreters, and assistants in However, the role of an interpreter is based on the premise that although there is an interpreter, accurate communication is impossible. Such a break in communication is used as a strategy to clearly clarify Godar's own direction while revealing the difficulties of filmmaking as the gap between the two sides in filmmaking becomes clear. Based on Freud's theory of psychoanalysis, the meaning of the study is to analyze Jean-Luc Godard's relationship with filmmakers, directors, writers, actors and how the director visually reproduces the conflict among the invisible participants in the film.

A Study on the Dongsasuchangrok (「동사수창록」에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze on the Dongsasuchangrok. The major findings are as follows: (1) Tongsinsa refers to diplomatic envoys of Joseon who were officially dispatched to Shogun. Those who participated in Tongsinsa not only produced and left many pieces of paintings and literary works in Japan, but also wrote their experience from that foreign country when they returned to Joseon. These facts indicate that Tongsinsa acted as diplomatic roles and promoted cultural exchanges between two countries. (2) Donsasuchangrok is a collection of 28 poems under 4 titles which were directly handwritten by eight people. The poems portrayed conditions of Joseon and Japan after the Imjin war and feelings of the writers. (3) Considering the implication in poems and a feature that the poems were handwritten by the authors, Dongsasuchangrok deserves to be designated and preserved as a local cultural asset.

Analysis of the Adequacy of Vocabulary in Elementary Mathematics Textbooks and Workbooks for Grades 3~4 (초등학교 3~4학년군 수학 교과서 및 익힘책의 어휘 적정성 분석)

  • This paper examined vocabulary in elementary mathematics textbooks and workbooks for the grade band of 3~4. This study focused on the adequacy of vocabulary using 9-degree of semantic difficulty. The results of this study showed that about three to eight percent of vocabulary with difficulty for students in grades 3~4 was employed. Whereas some difficult vocabularies were used along with the picture that helps students understand their meanings, others were presented without any illustrative tools. The most frequent vocabularies in the main activities of the mathematics textbooks included 'investigate', 'represent', 'number', 'how many', and 'method'. Based on these results, this study provides textbook writers with implications on what to further consider in dealing with vocabulary in instructional materials.

  • In general, common people have more understanding of and confidence in the university hospital than the private and the smaller semi-general hospital. But they know little about an appropriate field that is a part of the university hospital And takes care of them. Taking these situations into consideration, we, writers made analyses of statistics by putting into the form of diagrams. Stati tics are about these questions. 1. How much Korean adults know about nly major, a special treatment field-Thoracic & Cardiovascular surgery (T.C.S). 2. How much Korean adults know about the detailed parts of the T.C.S. 3. How much korean adults know about how medical treatment and operations are performed, and which diseases are concerned with the T.C.S. At this point, to compare the medical team's practical province in the T.C.S. surgery with the contents of 'common people's knowledge of the T.C.S., we made a balanced-check of many situations according to questions about the T.C.S. We present common people's actual answers.

A Study on the Mutual Complement between Geography Textbook and Students' Atlas as a Geographic Learning Material (지리 교육 교재로서 지리교과서와 사회과부도의 상호보완성에 대한 연구)

  • Geography textbooks and atlases are typical printed materials broadly used in the classroom and the public education as certified materials. The students' atlas, as supplementary materials, is useful in teaching and learning geography in the classroom. This study examines and evaluates the supplementary role of the students' atlas in the institutional and pedagogical perspectives. The textbook and the atlas were written by different writers and publishers based on the interpretation of the geography curriculum, the pedagogical beliefs and interests. The textbook is submitted to be certificated by Ministry of Education. Then the textbook and the atlas which is passed in the certification process can be distributed to schools to use in the classroom. Most maps and materials are supplied in the textbook and the atlas variously depended on the authors' interpretation of geography curriculum, which are designed complementally. But, that maps and materials of respective book of even different author are similar and duplicated. Sometimes maps and materials of textbook and atlas are independent, not mutual complement. It needed that geography textbook and student's atlas take a efficient role supplementarily in these certification system of textbook.

A Study of Wise Sayings Related to Reading (독서에 관한 명언의 연구)

  • Recognizing the importance of reading, and with one motivation being to encourage an upright reading culture, 138 Wise Sayings related to reading by Western leaders were investigated and analyzed according to their country of origin and content as well as the nationalities and occupations, achievements and activities, and the periods of activity of he people who said them. In Wise Sayings related to reading, there are connotations of reading's significance$(30\%)$, methods$(44\%)$, Usefulness$(13\%)$, values$(12\%)$, joys$(1\%)$ and so on, and the expressions vary according to the speakers' occupations. Many of the speakers of wise sayings related to reading were from the powerful and culturally-developed countries of England(36), France(17) and the United states(15), and among 168 occupations, many were engaged in literature(97), philosophy(20), and politics(13) In the field of literature in particular, poets(24), writers(24), and novelists(19) comprised about $70\%$ of the total. In terms of the periods of activity, the 19th-20th century with $33\%$ and the 19th century with $27\%$ made up $60\%$ of the total.

Medical Librarians' Contribution to SR Searching (의학도서관 사서의 SR 지원에 관한 연구)

  • This study searched for the status of medical Systematic Review(SR) publications in Korea and elsewhere for last 10 years, closely analyzing SR research papers by co-authors of Korean librarians. Through interviews with Korean librarians participating in SR, the activities, roles, and difficulties of these librarians were identified, and the results of the interviews helped explore new ways to promote collaboration in SR research. The result of the studied showed that the number of domestic and foreign SR studies has recently increased, and the number of cases where Korean librarians participated in SR research being officially credited as a co-author or acknowledgment source was also grow. The SR librarians in the Korean medical libraries were not only search experts, data collectors, and reference writers, but also did various activities such as designing search strategies, SR search records with complete reproducibility, and DB search tutorship. To promote SR support librarians participated in the interview suggested recruiting new librarians, retraining current librarians, and reformation courses in library and information science. As it is expected that the level of information demand of users and expectations for librarians would also increase in near future, SR librarians' activities and contributions seem to offer a guideline for academic library services that the others should pursue.

The Analysis of Educational Objectives by Observation in the 3rd and 5th Grade Science Instruction (관찰에 의한 국민학교 3, 5학년 자연과 수업의 목표 분석)

  • This study pursued to find out the degree to which educational objectives are pursued in the 3rd and 5th grade science instructional of an elementary school. Twenty science instruional hours are observed during two month from May to July, 1989. Klopfer's science educational objectives system is used as the tool of objective analysis. Questionnaires for the ideal proportions of the educational objectives are answered by the professors and elementary school teachers. The writers regarded those results as the ideal proportions of the educational objectives. Results from the analysis of the instruction are as follows : 1. Results from analysis of the instruction in the third grade are as follows : knowledge and comprehension (A. 0) objectives are found to be pursued. about 40%. scientific inquiry process(B. 0-E. 0) objectives, about 29%, application of scientific knowledge and methods(F. 0) objectives. about 10%, manual skills(G. 0) objectives, about 11%, scientific attitudes and interests(H. 0) objectives, about 10% and orientation(I. 0) objectives is not pursued. 2. Results from analysis of the instruction in the fifth grade are as follows: knowledge and comprehension(A. 0) objectives are found to be pursued. about 31%, scientific inquiry process (B. 0-E. 0) objectives. about 38%, application of scientific knowledge and methods (F. 0) objectives, about 13%, manual skills(G. 0) objectives, about 7%, scientific attitudes and interests(H. 0) objectives, about 10%. 3. Results from the ideal proportions are as follows : Knowledge and comprehension(A. 0) objectives, 20.5%, scientific inquiry process(B. 0-E. 0) objectives, 46.5%, application of scientific knowledge and methods(F. 0) objectives. 8%, manual skills(G. 0) objectives. 9.5%, scientific attitudes and interests (H. 0) objectives, 9% and orientation(I. 0) objectives, 6.5%. 4. "You ideality index" is 29 in the third grade and 23 in the fifth grade. Science instruction of the fifth grade can be interpreted to be nearer to the ideal instruction in terms of educational objectives.
