압전소자를 이용한 볼트토크 및 크랙의 정량적평가에 관한 연구 (Quantitative Assessment of the Fastening Condition and the Crack Size with Using Piezoceramic(PZT) Sensors)

  • We present a study on the development of a practical and quantitative technique for the assessment of the structural health condition with using piezoceramic(PZT) sensors. The electro-impedance-based technique with the PZT patches is very sensitive for evaluation of the incipient and small damage in a high frequency range, and however the commonly traditional modal analysis method is effective only for considerably larger damages in low frequency range. The paper presents the technique in detecting and characterizing real-time damage on the specimen that is an aluminum plate fastened with bolts and nuts by different torques and as well a plate with a crack. By using the special arrangement of the PZT sensors, the required longitudinal wave is generated through the specimen. A large number of experiments are conducted and the different conditions of the specimens, i.e. the location and extent of loosening bolts, and the plate with a crack are simulated. respectively. Since fixing and loosening the loosened bolt is controlled by a torque wrench, we can control exactly the experiment of the different torques. Compared with the simulated healthy condition, we can find whether or not there is a damage in the specimen with using an impedance analyzer with the PZT sensors. Several indices are discussed and used for assessing the different simulated damages. As for the location of bolt loosening, the RMSD is found to be the most appropriate index for numerical assessment and as well the RMSD shows strongly linear relationship for assessing the extent of the bolt loosening, and the frequency peak shift ${\Delta}F$ is used to assess the cracked plate. The possibility of repeatability of the pristine condition signatures is also presented and the appropriate frequency range and interval are uniquely selected through large numbers of experiments.

토크전단형 고력볼트의 토크계수 변동에 따른 체결축력 확보방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Secure Plan of Clamping Force according to the Variation of Torque-Coefficient in Torque-Shear High Strength Bolts)

  • Torque control method and turn of nut method are specified as clamping method of high strength bolts in the steel construction specifications. Quality control of torque coefficient is essential activity because torque control method, which is presently adopted as clamping method in domestic construction sites, is affected by variation of torque coefficient. The clamping of torque shear bolt is based on KS B 2819. It was misunderstood that the tension force of the TS bolt was induced generally at the break of pin-tail specified. However, the clamping forces on slip critical connections do not often meet the intended tension, as it considerably varies due to torque coefficient dependent on the environmental factors and temperature variables despite the break of the pin tail.This study was focused to evaluate the effect of environmental factors and errors of installing bolts during tightening high strength bolts. The environmental parameters were composed of 'wet' condition, 'rust' condition, 'only exposure to air' condition. And the manufacture of trial product was planned to identify the induced force into the bolts. The algorithm for a trial product was composed of the relation between electricity energy taken from torque shear wrench and tension force from hydraulic tension meter.

진동작업 종사 근로자의 진동노출 실태에 관한 연구 (Research on the actual vibration exposure of workers engaging in vibration induced works)

  • In Korea, researches on the exposure assessment of the hand-transmitted vibration started from the mid-90, however, they were performed in the limited industries such as auto-assembly plants and the evaluation of the vibration was mostly conducted by ISO 5349(1986). Therefore, it was necessary to assess hand-transmitted vibration levels of workplace such as ship building/repairing industry or mining industry where occupational injuries are largely occurred and to evaluate the vibration levels using revised ISO 5349(2001). The SVAN 949 Four Channels Sound & Vibration Analyser was used for the measurement. The workers using a chain saw were exposed to $1.7{\sim}2.8m/s^2$ of daily vibration level. Workers using a rock drill in a coal mining were exposed to the highest vibration acceleration among workers and the levels were $7.1{\sim}10.8m/s^2$. Vibration levels of grinders were different according to the types of grinders. The hand-transmitted vibration of 3 types of grinders were measured and the levels were $3.3{\sim}11.1m/s^2$. Workers using a impact wrench were exposed to $1.5{\sim}1.6m/s^2$ of vibration. Out of 20 kinds of machines, only 4 tools provided the information of vibration acceleration on the instructions. In addition, the current condition of workplaces to control vibration was not much different from the past because there are no vibration exposure limit.

Comparison of fit accuracy and torque maintenance of zirconia and titanium abutments for internal tri-channel and external-hex implant connections

  • PURPOSE. This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the effect of implant connection design (external vs. internal) on the fit discrepancy and torque loss of zirconia and titanium abutments. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Two regular platform dental implants, one with external connection ($Br{\aa}nemark$, Nobel Biocare AB) and the other with internal connection (Noble Replace, Nobel Biocare AB), were selected. Seven titanium and seven customized zirconia abutments were used for each connection design. Measurements of geometry, marginal discrepancy, and rotational freedom were done using video measuring machine. To measure the torque loss, each abutment was torqued to 35 Ncm and then opened by means of a digital torque wrench. Data were analyzed with two-way ANOVA and t-test at ${\alpha}=0.05$ of significance. RESULTS. There were significant differences in the geometrical measurements and rotational freedom between abutments of two connection groups (P<.001). Also, the results showed significant differences between titanium abutments of internal and external connection implants in terms of rotational freedom (P<.001). Not only customized internal abutments but also customized external abutments did not have the exact geometry of prefabricated abutments (P<.001). However, neither connection type (P=.15) nor abutment material (P=.38) affected torque loss. CONCLUSION. Abutments with internal connection showed less rotational freedom. However, better marginal fit was observed in externally connected abutments. Also, customized abutments with either connection could not duplicate the exact geometry of their corresponding prefabricated abutment. However, neither abutment connection nor material affected torque loss values.

일체주조법, 레이저용접법, 납착법, 방전가공법에 의해 제작된 임플란트 보철물의 적합도에 관한 연구 (FIT OF IMPLANT FRAMEWORKS FABRICATED BY ONE-PIECE CASTING, LASER WELDING, SOLDERING, AND ELECTRIC DISCHARGE MACHINING)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the strains produced by screw-tightening implant frameworks fabricated by aye different fabrication methods; (1) one-piece cast using plastic sleeve, (2) one-piece cast using gold cylinder, (3) laser welding, (4) soldering, and (5) electrical discharge machining, and also to measure and compare the strains produced when the order of screw tightening was changed A research model incorporating eighteen strain gages was made to measure the fit of implant frameworks in three dimensions. Three implants aligned in an arc were fixed on the top ends of the L-shape aluminum bars of the research model, and standard abutments were joined to the implants with abutment screws. Five types of implant framework were placed on the abutments and screwed by a torque wrench using 10 Ncm. Under the conditions of this study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. The electrical discharge machining group showed the smallest magnitude of strain, followed by the soldering group, the laser welding group, the one-piece cast group using gold cylinder, and the one-piece cast group using plastic sleeve. However, among the magnitude of strain for the remaining groups except the electrical discharge machining group, there were not significant differences. 2. When the order of screw tightening was changed, there were not significant differences in the magnitude of strain. 3. In comparison with the electrical discharge machining group, the laser welding group and the one-piece cast groups showed greater horizontal distortion and the soldering group showed greater horizontal and vertical distortion.

한국 대륙붕 VI-1광구 고래 II지역의 3D탄성파 자료해석 (3D Seismic Data Interpretation of the Gorse II Area, Block VI-1, Offshore Southeast Korea)

  • 연구지역인 고래 II지역은 한반도 동남쪽 육지에 근접해 있으며 울릉분지(쓰시마분지)의 서남부에 위치한다. 동지역에 대한 3D탐사는 2D탐사에 의해 기확인된 구조들의 정밀평가를 목적으로 시행되었으며, 동작업의 일환으로 울릉분지의 층서 및 구조의 정밀분석이 시행되었다. 동지역은 기반암이 얕고 울릉분지의 구조운동이 모두 영향을 미친 지역으로 고해상도의 기반암지역 자료를 토대로 기반암을 포함하는 구조운동 및 층서와의 상관관계가 분석되었다. 3D 탄성파 자료 해석결과, 본 지역에는 조구조운동과 성인적 연관을 가진 8개의 건층면이 관찰되고 있다. 연구지역에서 관찰되는 지질구조는 분지형성초기에 형성된 블록단층과 후기 마이오세 스러스트 및 플라이오세 렌치단층 등 세 종류의 단층이 관찰되며, 울룽곡분으로 불리는 완만한 향사가 발달되어 있다. 본 지역에서 상기 지질 구조와 관련된 퇴적 시퀀스로는 음향 기반암, 열개동시성 시퀀스(시퀀스 $A_1, A_2$), 후열개 시퀀스 (시퀀스 $B_1{\~}B_3$),횡압력 동시성 시퀀스 (시퀀스 C) ,후횡압력 시퀀스 (시퀀스 D)등이 인지되었다. 각 시퀀스에 대해 구조도, 등시선도 등이 작성되어 상분석, 퇴적환경 해석작업이 이루어 졌다. 조구조운동 및 퇴적물 공급량에 따른 상대 해수면 변화와 관련하여 발달한 본 지역 시퀀스의 해석 결과, 울릉분지는 여러 형태의 조구조운동 및 퇴적물공급에의해 형성된 복합적인 분지의 층서 및 구조 양상을 나타낸다.

과학자, 기술자, 공학자에 대한 중학생들의 이미지와 인식 비교 (A Comparative study of Middle School Students' Images and Perceptions of Scientist, Technician and Engineer)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중학생들의 과학자, 기술자, 공학과학자, 기술자, 공학자에 대한 중학생들의 이미지와 인식 비교 79자에 대한 이미지 및 인식을 비교 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구는 중학교 3학년 학생 110명을 대상으로 하였고, 검사 도구는 Fralick 등(2009)이 개발한 'Draw a scientist at work and draw an engineer at work'와 그에 대한 체크리스트를 번안 수정하여 사용하였다. 일하는 과학자, 기술자, 공학자의 그림을 그리고 외형적인 특징과 일하는 장소, 일하는 행동, 다루는 대상 또는 사물에 대하여 서술하도록 하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생이 인식하는 과학자가 취급하는 대상 또는 사물로는 플라스크, 비커, 시험관이 가장 많았으며 남학생과 여학생간의 차이가 없었다. 학생들이 그린 과학자 이미지에서 복잡한 기계나 설계도를 묘사한 경우가 다수 나타나 학생들이 과학자와 공학자를 유사하게 인식하는 반면 공구, 다리, 건물에 대한 묘사는 없는 것으로 보아 과학자와 기술자는 구분하여 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 기술자가 일하는 곳은 공장이나 카센터 등으로 인식하였고 스패너, 망치 등의 공구를 이용하여 차량을 수리하는 것으로 묘사하였다. 기술자의 외형적 특징으로 과학자에서는 매우 낮은 비율로 나타났던 작업복과 모자의 빈도가 현저히 높게 나타났다. 학생들의 그림에서 나타난 기술자의 행동으로는 남학생과 여학생 모두 손으로 만들거나 고치는 공통적인 이미지로 표현하였다. 셋째, 공학자가 일하는 곳은 실내이며 기계를 다룬다는 공통적인 이미지를 가지고 있었으며 남학생의 경우 공학자가 컴퓨터로 설계하거나 발명하는 모습을 주로 표현한 반면 여학생들은 차량을 고치거나 만드는 일을 한다고 인식하여 성별에 따라 차이가 나타났다.

화염으로 인한 ACSR의 기계적 열화 특성 (Mechanical Deterioration Characteristics of ACSR due to a Flame)

  • 우리나라의 경우 대부분의 가공 송전선은 산간지역에 가설되어 있다. 산간지역에 산불이 발생할 경우에 불길 속에 노출되었거나 인근에 있는 송전선로의 아연도금 강선 및 알루미늄 연선은 산불의 화염과 높은 온도에 의하여 열화될 것이다. 열화(deterioration)는 전선의 재질, 제조방법 및 가설상태와 선로의 노출환경 등 매우 다양한 요소들의 상호작용에 의하여 진행된다. 일반적으로 산불에 의한 도체의 특성은 정확한 산불의 모델링과 그 영향을 알 수 있어야 해석이 가능하지만, 송전선로에 대한 산볼 모형이 연구된 실적이 많지 않으며, 실제 산불에 노출되었던 시료에 대한 분석이 이루어진 적이 없는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 산불로 인한 전선의 열화특성을 모의 하기 위하여 건전전선에 인공화염장치를 이용하여 일정 시 간 간격으로 화염을 가하는 실험을 하였다. 그 결과분석 항목으로 도체의 인장강도 및 비틀림 시험을 수행하였다. 또한, 포항지역에 가설되어 운전중이던 ACSR 480[$\textrm{mm}^2$]가 산불로 인하여 철거된 관계로 이 전선을 수거후 시료로 채택하여 기계적 특성 시험을 시행하여 그 분석결과와 인공화염장치를 이용한 실험결과를 비교$.$분석하였다. 이 두 개의 분석자료를 이용하여 향후 산불에 의하여 열화된 전선의 상태를 예측할 수 있는 데이터베이스를 만들어 산불로 인한 ACSR 전선의 수명 진단에 필요한 자료를 제공하고자 한다.

  • In order to obtain the most favourable classification system for fishing gears, the problems in the existing systems were investigated and a new system in which the fishing method was adopted as the criterion of classification and the kinds of fishing gears were obtained by exchanging the word method into gear in the fishing methods classified newly for eliminating the problems was established.
