Generally, we want to be searched the newest as well as some appropriate personalized information from the internet resources. However, it is a complex and repeated procedure to search some appropriate information. Moreover, because the user's interests are changed as time goes, the real time modeling of a user's interests should be necessary. In this paper, I propose PREA system that can search and filter documents that users are interested from the World Wide Web. And then it constructs the user's interest model by a modified spreading neural network. Based on this network, PREA can easily produce some queries to search web documents, and it ranks them. The conventional spreading neural network does not have a visualization function, so that the users could not know how to be configured his or her interest model by the network. To solve this problem, PREA gives a visualization function being shown how to be made his interest user model to many users.

The world wide web has been growing rapidly. Due to the development, many companies are using the e-commerce through the web as an another tool for the their deal with customers. The internet is utilized as the new distribution business and channel for the most companies. This innovative changes made many people to purchase products through the web. However, there are a lot of problems during the process of supply chain channels. This research is about the impact of service quality on the customer satisfaction in the business-to-consumer(B2C) e-commerce. It was performed by utilizing the methodology for measuring the degree of service quality which has been adopted in the service quality research area. The quality of service is made up of six dimensions(factors): reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, tangible, and convenience. Therefore, we studied the influence of these six factors upon the customer satisfaction, and the results will be summarized.

Recently. internet applications for efficient cyber education have drawn much interests. The world-wide web provides new opportunities for cyber education over the internet. In this paper, we developed the internet-based educational simulator for design and virtual experiment of the digital logic circuits. The proposed simulator provides the improved learning methods which can enhance the educational efficiency in digital theory. If the students execute the Digital simulator on the web. they can simulate in digital circuits through simple mouse manipulation. The proposed digital simulator can be used so that the students can easily understand the well-known digital principles.

This article begins by exploring recent developments in the use of the world wide webs in language testing about what a Web-based language test (WBT) is and how they are used in language testing. After a brief review of computer-based testing, WBTs are defined and categorized as low-tech or high tech. Since low-tech tests are the more feasible, they will constitute the focus of this paper. Next, item types for low-tech WBTs are described, and validation concerns that are specific to WBTs are discussed. After a brief overview of the combination of computer-adaptive and Web-based tests, the general advantages as well as design and implementation issues of WBTs are considered before examining the role that testing consequences play in deciding whether a WBT is an appropriate assessment instrument. It is argued that WBTs are most appropriate in low-stakes testing situations; but with proper supervision, they can also be used in medium-stakes situations although they are not generally recommended for high-stakes situations. Some possible ideas for future research are suggested.(169)

Recall aims to remove the products hazardous to consumers or users from the commerce. However, a recall with a poor decision making procedure could results in disaster to corporations. Therefore, recall managers should establish a proper recall plan in advance to minimize the damage to business. The purpose of the study is to propose a computerized recall management system(RMSys) to handle recall process systematically and timely manners. RMSys, a recall decision-making procedures software, consists of two different modules such as recall decision-making module and recall procedure module. RMSys on the basis of the world wide web is designed to be compatible to ERP(Enterprise Resources Panning). RMSys could play a role as a management support system to help the corporations recall the hazardous products with minimum efforts.

This paper proposes a new access method which is to considered the high variability in World Wide Web and manage the web cache space. Instead of using a single cache, we divide a cache and store all documents according to their file types. Proposed method was compares with current cache management policies using LFU, LRU and SIZE base algorithm. Using two different workload, we show the improvement hitting ratio and byte hitting ratio through simulating on the file type caching.

In this paper, we develop a security system which enhances the security of information during transmission over the World Wide Web for solving problems related to outflow of the information on the internet. Our system provides safe security functions without modifying the existing Web server and browser by utilizing CGI, Plug-in, and Socket Spy techniques. Our system implements user access control and data encryption/decryption by using the hardware cryptographic token instead of using a software technique as in previous systems, and hence is a more robust security system.

In this paper, I present an architecture and techniques to monitor and identify the hazards of plants anywhere in the whole country using the HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol) based on RFC1945 and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) protocol. I constructed the upward network and downward network for intercommunication between the PLC and computer around the internet. I also constructed WWW(World-Wide Web) server in the personal computer The result of this research constructed monitoring system to monitor and identify the hazards through WWW browser on the internet.

Ontology is known to be one of the most important technologies in achieving semantic web. It is critical as it represents the knowledge in a machine readable state. World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has been contributing to the development of ontology for the last several years. However, the recommendation of W3C left out HTML despite the massive amount of information it contains. Also, it is difficult and time consuming to keep up with all the technologies especially in the case of constructing ontology. Thus, we propose a module and methods that reuse HTML documents, extract necessary information from HTML tags and mapping it to OWL 2. We will be combining two kinds of approaches which will be the structural refinement for making an ontology skeleton and linguistic approach for adding detailed information onto the skeleton.

Purpose: This study was conducted to develop and evaluate a Web-based program for the maternal role of primiparas who use the internet. Method: The study process was a systems requirements analysis, design and development of a program, program testing by experts, program implementation, and program evaluation by users. A nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design was used. The data was collected from October 5th, 2002 to February 24th, 2003. Result: 1. Based on inquiries into mothers' needs, a Web-based support program was developed. The program was then modified from feedback received from experts. 2. In a sub-scale analysis of mothers' perception of a baby, amenability and persistence was significantly higher in the intervention group. The differences in the mean score of maternal self-confidence and maternal satisfaction were significant. 3. Cyber counseling was done for a total of 73 cases and the most frequent problems for counseling were feeding and nutrition (28.8%), followed by baby care, and health problems. Conclusion: It was proven that a Web-based support program provided appropriate support to primiparas and was effective in promoting their maternal role. Therefore, this study suggests that a Web-based support program for primiparas can become a powerful nursing intervention on virtually all mother and infant health concerns.
