농작업 근로자의 산업재해 특성에 대한 연구(2008년~2012년) (A Study on the Industrial Injury Characteristics in the Agricultural Workers for Five Years(2008~2012))

  • Recently supporting policy of government for agricultural is changing from individual to workplace. For this reason, the number of industrial injury is increasing due to increase workplace in the agriculture. However, because the studies on the characteristics and causes of injury have not been performed, the effective measure for the prevention of industrial injury is difficult to establish. The aim of this study is to analyze the industrial injury characteristic and prepare the effective counterplan to prevent industrial injury of the workplace in the agriculture. This study analyzed 2,970 cases of industrial injury during the last five years (2008-2012) in the agriculture sector. The data was offered by Korean Occupational Safety and Health Agency. The results of analysis the industrial injury characteristic of the workplace in the agriculture, number of industrial injury for source of industrial injury was 12.3% in the outdoor floor and injury type was 23.1% in the fall. This study analyzed industrial injury characteristic which size and type of workplace, injury type and source of industrial injury through the case of industrial injury in agriculture. The result of this study will be helpful to identify the industrial injury characteristic in the agriculture and prepares the effective industrial injury prevention method.

가족친화제도 이용경험에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Employees' Use of Family-friendly Programs)

  • This study explores the factors influencing employees' use of family-friendly programs. Although recent years have witnessed an increasing number of family-friendly programs offered in the workplace, many studies have reported a lack of their actual use. This study considers various socio-demographic and workplace characteristics such as attitudes toward gender roles, and the perceptions of the work environment to better understand the reason behind this insufficient use. For this, data from the 2nd National Korean Family Survey in 2010 were employed. The results based on a total of 408 employees with diverse occupations indicate that among the four family-friendly programs evaluated(flexible working hours, child care, dependant care, and employee wellbeing), child care programs were most frequently provided by employers. In addition, the factors influencing employee participation in family-friendly programs were associated mainly with workplace characteristics or attitudes toward gender roles. The work environment including the employee's perceptions of how comfortable it is to accept assistance from family-friendly programs was also a key factor. Personal characteristics such as age and attitudes toward gender roles except for family needs had significant effects on employee participation in family-friendly programs. Future research should examine the effects of various environmental factors on employees' responses to family-friendly programs and investigate additional factors that can further enhance the effectiveness of such programs.

Satisfaction of industrial health care managers regarding the work of industrial hygiene engineers: a cross-sectional study

  • Background: A group health service is a system that delegates workplace health management to an entrusted institution. There have been various studies on group health services to date, but recent changes, such as an increase in foreign workers, are rapidly changing industry characteristics. Methods: Satisfaction was assessed using a 27-question survey distributed among 203 workplaces employing health professionals. The survey items consisted of general characteristics, comprehensive satisfaction, requirements for health professionals' work, and satisfaction with work environment management, ergonomic management, and healthcare management. Multiple regression and frequency analyses were performed. Results: The comprehensive satisfaction was 4.08 points on average, out of 5. The comprehensive satisfaction of health professionals in the industry was positively correlated with each factor. Hazardous materials and chemical management (material safety data sheets, MSDSs) were the most common requirements. Conclusion: A low level of satisfaction with work environment management indicates high demand for healthcare management. The working environment should be improved by identifying characteristics of the workplace, examining harmful substances, inspecting equipment, and enhancing worker methods. The shorter the work experience of health professionals, the more dependent they are on group health services. The variables affecting comprehensive satisfaction were the period of work, healthcare management satisfaction, and work environment management satisfaction. Most of the requirements of health professionals in the workplace were practical improvement case presentations, MSDSs, and legal document management.

조직 내 민주성이 사회적 자본의 형성에 미치는 영향: 서번트 리더십의 조절효과 (The Impact of Workplace Democracy on Social Capital: The Moderating Effect of Servant Leadership)

  • Purpose - Unlike in the past, individualistic thought is more dominant than groupism where members prioritize organizations. Such changes run counter to the direction of the survival of the companies, which calls for companies to explore strategies to address thems. As one of the solutions, many people highlights social capital. However, since most studies have been conducted on the definition and characteristics of social capital, there is not enough prior factor research on the formation of social capital. So the current situation require researches on the formation of social capital. Research design, data, and methodology - To achieve the purpose, the literature and the empirical studies were combined. Deriving workplace democracy and servant leadership as factors affecting the formation of social capital through the literature, and this factors have modeled assumptions about the impact on social capital, and have established hypotheses to verify them. The survey which is conducted to verify the hypothesis and questionnaires are derived base on the variables used in the previous studies. The survey was conducted 447 respondents in Korea. Results - As a result, we found that the workplace democracy is positively functioning with the formation of social capital. It means that the democracy functions as a universal element to enhance the quality of social capital at the workplace. The evidence also shows that the positive impacts of the servant leadership on the formation of social capital. And the survey shows that groups with high level servant leadership had a higher impact on the formation of social capital than those with low levels leadership. Conclusions - At present, the social capital has become an important factor for the companies pursuing high performance workplaces. We found that the workplace democracy and the servant leadership affect the formation of social capital. It means that to increase the employees' sense of community and solidarity, it is need to form democratic environment with the servant leadership. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the workplace democracy and the servant leadership can present strategic implications that can increase the social capital.

직장에 복귀한 암 생존자의 직장 생활의 질에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Quality of Working Life of Cancer Survivors after Return to the Workplace)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the quality of working life of cancer survivors (QWL-CS) after return to the workplace. Methods: Data were collected from 154 cancer survivors from May 16 to June 23, 2018. Participants were selected as candidates from two different hospitals in the metropolitan area and snowball sampling was used in parallel. The data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple linear regression. Results: Mean score of QWL-CS was $4.39{\pm}0.59$. QWL-CS was negatively correlated with fatigue, and job stress: however, it was positively correlated with workplace spirituality. The factor that had the greatest influence on the QWL-CS was job stress (${\beta}=-.36$, p<.001), followed by fatigue (${\beta}=-.35$, p<.001), workplace spirituality (${\beta}=.35$, p<.001), number of currently cancer treatment (${\beta}=-.15$, p=.009), and number of children (${\beta}=.12$, p=.031). The explanatory power of models was 54%. Conclusion: Effective and practical intervention programs for increasing the quality of working life are required to be provided to cancer survivors after return to the workplace in accordance with job stress, fatigue, workplace spirituality, and general characteristics of cancer survivors such as number of currently cancer treatments and number of children.

직장 내 괴롭힘이 응급구조사의 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 - 의료기관에 종사하는 1급 응급구조사 대상으로 - (Perceived Effect of Workplace Bullying in Paramedics on Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention - For the Paramedics Working at Hospitals -)

  • 본 연구는 직장 내 괴롭힘이 응급구조사의 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구이다. 연구대상자는 현재 의료기관에 종사하는 1급 응급구조사를 대상으로 하였고, 설문지는 일반적 특성 13문항, 직장 내 괴롭힘 20문항, 조직몰입 12문항, 이직의도 6문항으로 구성되어있다. 대상자의 직장 내 괴롭힘, 조직몰입, 이직의도 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 직장 내 괴롭힘과 조직몰입은 유의한 음(-)적 상관관계를 나타냈고(r=-.457, p<.001), 직장 내 괴롭힘과 이직의도는 유의한 양(+)적 상관관계를 나타냈으며(r=.389, p<.001), 조직몰입과 이직의도는 유의한 음(-)적 상관관계를 나타냈다(r=-.775, p<.001).

직장어린이집 교사헌신과 교사효능감과의 관계 (A Relationship between Teacher Commitment and Teacher Efficacy in Workplace Child-Care Center)

  • 본 연구는 직장어린이집 교사들을 대상으로 교사헌신의 차이를 알아보고, 교사헌신과 교사효능감과의 관계를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 경기도 내에 소재한 직장어린이집 교사 176명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며 일원분산분석(ANOVA), Scheff$\acute{e}$ 사후검증, Pearson상관분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 교사헌신과 교사효능감은 높은 정적상관을 보였다. 직장어린이집 교사의 교사헌신은 높은 수준으로 나타났으며 영유아에 대한 헌신이 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 교사의 학력과 경력 및 담당학급 영유아의 연령과 기관의 전체 교사 수에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 직장어린이집 교사의 내적 특성으로서 교사헌신을 지원할 수 있는 방안 마련의 기초자료를 제공하였다는데 의의가 있으며, 추후에는 유치원 및 어린이집 유형에 따른 교사헌신과 효능감을 연계지어 연구해 볼 필요가 있을 것이다.

한방병원 근무자들의 프렌드십과 조직효과성의 상관관계에 대한 연구 - 광주광역시를 중심으로 - (A Study about the Correlation between Friendship and Organizational Effectiveness who Work at Korean Medicine Hospital)

  • Objective : This study aimed to investigate the level of friendship perceived by hospital staffs in korean medicine hospitals in Gwangju and relationship between friendship and organizational effectiveness. Method : The subject were 134 hospital staffs in 5 different hospitals in Gwangju. The questionnaire used in this study contained 44 questions about workplace friendship (15 questions), organizational effectiveness (16 questions), social demographic characteristics (8 questions) and others (5 questions). Results : Young woman in their 20s and 30s were major participants (69person, 52.7%), nursing and administrative department(72person, 55%) were dominant division, the person those who have less than 1 year current workplace career(69person, 52.7%) were major group in this study. Participants responded about barriers of friendship at workplace were lack of opportunities for formal or informal meeting and lack of hospital's interest and supporting about human relations among employees at workplace. Both friendship level with superior and friendship level with subordinate were lower than friendship level with colleague. (p=.000) Participants who have higher workplace friendship level, were also higher level at job satisfaction, organizational commitment and lower level at turnover intention, job stress. Especially friendship level with superior had biggest relationship with variables of organizational effectiveness. Conclusion : Participants showed close relationship with friendship degree and organizational effectiveness. We suggest that the CEOs of korean medicine hospital would make their effort to improve friendship level of workers for the rise of organizational effectiveness.

직장 내 괴롭힘이 정서적 고갈 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 사회적 지원의 역할 (A Study on the Effects of Workplace Bullying on Emotional Depletion and Organizational Commitment-The Role of Social Support)

  • 본 연구는 직장 내 괴롭힘이 정서적 고갈 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 유의한 차이를 살펴보고, 사회적 지원에 따른 유의한 차이가 있을 것인가를 고찰해 보고자 400부의 설문지를 활용하였다. 분석 방법으로 표본 특성에는 SPSS 24를 사용, 확인적 요인 분석, 신뢰도 및 타당도, 경로 분석, 구조방정식 모형에는 SmartPLS 3 통계 프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구 결과로는, 직장 내 괴롭힘은 정서적 고갈에 유의한 정(+)에 영향을 미치며, 정서적 고갈은 조직몰입에 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 직장 내 괴롭힘과 조직몰입 사이의 영향 관계에서 정서적 몰입은 부(-)의 방향으로 부분 매개하였고, 정서적 고갈이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향은 사회적 지원의 조절에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 시사점으로는 직장 내 괴롭힘은 정서적 고갈에 영향을 미치므로 괴롭힘을 예방하는 기업의 노력이 절실히 요구되며, 조직 내 상사와의 의사소통을 증진할 수 있는 제도나 커뮤니티를 활용하여 종사자들의 조직몰입을 향상할 수 있음을 시사해 주고 있다.

식료품 제조업 유해·위험요인 개선율과 재해율의 관계 분석을 통한 점검 체크리스트 개발 (Development of Inspection Checklist through the Analysis of the Relationship between the Risk Improvement Ratio and the Accident Ratio in Food Manufacturing Industry)

  • In the inspection of workplace hazards/risk factors by specialized institutions dedicated to safety management, inspection reports vary based on the inspectors, who lack the authority to enforce improvement of workplace hazards/risk factors. Thus, improvement and accident rates remain steady without decreasing. This study performed a regression analysis on the relationship between improvement and accident rates of categorized inspection items by classifying hazards/risk factors from inspection reports submitted by a specialized safety management institution in Chungbuk after inspecting 10 food and beverage manufacturers over the past three years. The hazards/risk factors were classified into five categories: mechanical, electrical, chemical, human, and environmental. The regression analysis revealed that the improvement rate of hazards/risk factors inspected by the specialized safety management institution influenced accident rates. To enhance improvement rates based on these findings, this study prioritized the correction of the five most frequently cited inspection items with the lowest improvement rates in each area. Based on these inspection items, this study suggested a checklist for use in workplace safety inspections of food manufacturers. This proposed checklist is expected to reduce accident rates in food manufacturing facilities. Currently, guidance and inspection of workplaces are mainly focused on accident rates rather than correcting hazards/risks. Thus, accident rates remain unchanged as workplace risks are inadequately improved according to the unique characteristics of each workplace. When conducting workplace guidance and inspection, policy measures and inspection methods are warranted to increase the improvement rate of hazards/risks.
