환자안전 문화에 대한 방사선사의 인식도 조사 (A Survey on Perception Level of the Radiological Technologist's about Culture of Patient Safety)

  • 환자안전 문화에 대한 종합병원 방사선사의 인식을 조사하여 방사선사의 환자안전관리를 위한 기반을 제공하고 안전 활동을 위한 프로그램을 개발하는데 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다. 환자안전 문화에 대한 종합병원 방사선사의 인식을 조사하여, 본 연구의 조사기간은 2012년 6월 13일부터 6월 20일까지 대전광역시 소재 5개 종합병원에 근무하는 방사선사들을 대상으로 198명의 자료를 분석하였다(SPSS 19.0v). 환자안전 활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 부서 내, 직속상관, 의사소통, 의료사고, 병원 별, 환자안전도에 대한 안전문화와 보고된 사고, 위험하다고 느끼는 환자 안전사고, 가장 많이 발생한 환자 안전사고를 평가한 결과 의료사고 보고체계에 따른 환자안전 문화에 관한 인식에서는 근무기간 25년 이상에서 가장 높게 나타났고 환자안전도 평가에서는 근무기간 10년~15년에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 그러므로 종합병원 방사선사의 환자안전문화를 개선하기 위해서는 충분한 인력 배치, 환자안전문제에 대한 적극적인 접근, 그리고 안전사고의 재발 방지를 위해 방사선사의 근무기간을 고려한 임무 부여 등으로 체계적인 의료사고 보고 체계를 활성 시켜야 할 것이다.

  • LOx와 Kerosene을 연료로 사용하는 LRE(Liquid Rocket Engine) Block에서 지상연소시험을 수행할 경우에 발생하는 위험도를 감소시키는 방법을 연구하였다. 추진제누출로 이어지는 위험한 상황에 대한 원인분석도와 추진제 유출시 사고로 이어지는 발전 양상 및 발전 프로세스, 사고시 손실을 줄이기 위한 기술적인 해결방법을 제시함으로써 기존의 확률적인 통계 값을 바탕으로 하는 것과는 또 다른 방법으로써 위험을 감소하기 위한 대안으로 사용하고자 한다.

  • Workplace accidents are common while working at elevations. Thus, various safety measures such as safety handrails and horizontal safety nets are implemented to prevent falls. The minimum safety measure is the lifeline installation. However, because its standards have not been clearly established, it is often misused, resulting in inappropriate knot methods that increase the chance of accidents while working at elevations. Therefore, clarifying the appropriate usage methods or criteria for the various lifelines is required in the field. This study proposed an appropriate installation method by experimentally and numerically evaluating the change in strength according to the fixed knot lifeline method. In addition, three knot methods were specified for each material. The results obtained are expected to contribute to lessening falls through the establishment of lifeline installation standards and the development of appropriate parts.

해양사고 예방을 위한 국내 연안선 항해당직자의 업무 부하 분석 (Analysis of Workload of the Domestic Coastal Ship Duty Officer to Prevent Marine Accidents)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to measure the workload of Korea coastal ship crew members, to investigate whether they are following work-break time regulations and to identify the main causes of their workload. Background: According to the US Coast Guard, about 33% of human casualties are reported to be due to fatigue, and 30% of marine casualties reported by the British Marine Accident Investigation Agency (MAIB) are attributed to crew fatigue. But the coastal ship are not managed for business hours and breaks despite the harsh environment. Method: The workload of duty crew members on the 100 domestic coastal vessels was measured. It was also investigated whether they are following domestic and international work-break time regulations. Finally, the marine accidents resulted from the fatigue of the crew was analyzed. Results: As a result of workload analysis, the workload on the 42~62% of the vessels exceeded the standard of working time on the related regulation. The workload increased with the number of inbound and outbound ports. Especially, in the system where there are two seafarers, the workload exceeded the working time requirement. As a result of the marine accidents analysis on 100 vessels, it was found that collision and grounding occurred due to fatigue, workload and drowsiness in 7 marine accidents out of 30 marine accidents. Conclusion: It is necessary for the shipping companies to introduce an operation management manual for the management of the crews' workload and reasonable crew arrangement. It is also required for crew members to easily record work times and for shipping companies to manage the record. It would be possible to prevent many marine accidents by providing adequate rest to the crews and flexibly adjusting their working hours. Application: The results of this study can be used as fundamental data to manage crews' fatigue and to make job management manuals.

고령 근로자의 안전의식 수준과 안전교육 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Safety Awareness Level and Safety Education of Elderly Workers)

  • 고용노동부의 산업재해 사고사망 통계에 따르면 건설업의 사고 사망자는 458명으로 사고사망자의 77.3% 가 50세 이상이며, 41.9% 가 60세 이상 고령층인 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 건설현장에서 근무중인 고령근로자 68명을 대상으로 안전교육, 보호구, 안전의식에 대해 파악하고자 설문조사를 진행하고 분석하였다. 그 결과 고령 근로자들이 가지고 있는 모순적인 안전의식을 재고하기 위해 시각자료를 활용한 안전 교육의 다양화의 필요성에 대해 확인하였다. 또한, 보호구에 대한 높은 필요성 인식과 현장 착용에도 불구하고 보호구 착용에 소극적인 근로자를 위한 개인 신체에 맞는 보호구 지급과 주기적인 교체 등의 보호구의 개선의 필요성에 대해서 확인하였다.

초소규모 제조업 사업장의 안전보건활동과 정부지원사업 효과 (The Industrial Safety and Health Activities and Effectiveness of Government Support Program in Very Small Manufacturing Workplaces)

  • Last five years, Occupational injury rate is declining but still a standstill as 2%, if the rate of deaths all people from 2% to 1% in 2013, but decreased as, occupational safety and health in terms industrial accidents yet has a very weak structure in very small Manufacturing workplace. The purpose of this study was to survey a 1:1 directly person interviews with a structured questionnaire intended for 150 a very small manufacturing workplace. In the results, working with non-regular(informal) workers is one in 10 persons 11.7% and female workers is about three people on 10 persons with 31.0%, and that 75% of non-regular workers who are mainly engaged in the production line appeared. And the work-related injury and accident experience was 4.0% and the occupational injury rate was 1.24%, especially occupational injury rate of older workers was 3.65%, a female workers 1.72%. Workplace risk assessment carried out in response that it was very low as 9.3% of the total. In the technology and funding programs that are supported by the government, was highest with 62.7% of the clean support program awareness, awareness of the rest of the programs is about 10-14% lower. And the satisfaction of supporting a clean support program were the highest 81.3%.

공영우편업 물류센터 종사자의 안전보건의식에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Korea Post Workers' Safety and Health Consciousness)

  • 우정사업본부는 국민들에게 우편, 예금, 보험 등 양질의 우정서비스를 제공하는 공적 역할을 수행하고 있다. 비록, 산업의 발전으로 우편기계가 자동화 되고 있지만 우편 소통 과정에서 종사자는 교통사고, 끼임사고, 근골격계질환 등 각종 산업재해에 노출되어 있어 중대재해를 예방하기 위한 산업안전보건 활동이 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 우정사업본부 소속 공영우편업 물류센터에 근무하는 종사자를 대상으로 안전보건 의식 수준을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 안전보건 의식 향상을 위해 규정 및 절차, 조직 구성, 안전보건교육 방법 개선 등 중점 추진하여야 할 과제를 5가지 항목으로 구분하여 제언하였고, 효율적인 산업재해 예방을 위한 제도 수립에 기초할 자료를 제시하였다.

양식어업 어장관리선에 승선하는 어선원의 안전사고 위험요인 분석 (Analysis of risk factors for safety accidents for fisher onboard aquaculture fisheries management vessel)

  • This study aimed to quantitatively analyze the risk using data from 329 safety accidents that occurred in aquaculture fisheries management vessels over the recent five years (2018-2022). For quantitative risk analysis, the Bayesian network proposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) was used to analyze the risk level according to the fishing process and cause of safety accidents. Among the work processes, the fishing process was analyzed to have the highest risk, being 12.5 times that of the navigation, 2.7 times that of the maintenance, and 8.8 times that of the loading and unloading. Among the causes of accidents, the hull and working environment showed the highest risk, being 1.7 times that of fishing gear and equipment, 4.7 times that of machinery and equipment, and 9.4 times that of external environment. By quantitatively analyzing the safety accident risks for 64 combinations of these four work processes and four accident causes, this study provided fundamental data to reduce safety accidents occurring in aquaculture fisheries management vessels.

Odor Thresholds and Breathing Changes of Human Volunteers as Consequences of Sulphur Dioxide Exposure Considering Individual Factors

  • Objectives: Though sulfur dioxide (SO2) is used widely at workplaces, itseffects on humans are not known. Thresholds are reportedwithout reference to gender or age and occupational exposure limits are basedon effects on lung functioning, although localized effects in the upper airways can be expected. This study's aim is to determine thresholds with respect to age and gender and suggests a new approach to risk assessment using breathing reflexes presumably triggered by trigeminal receptors in the upper airways. Methods: Odor thresholds were determined by the ascending method of limits in groups stratified by age and gender. Subjects rated intensities of different olfactory and trigeminal perceptions at different concentrations of $SO_2$. During the presentation of the concentrations, breathing movements were measured by respiratory inductive plethysmography. Results: Neither age nor gender effects were observed for odor threshold. Only ratings of nasal irritation were influenced bygender. A benchmark dose analysis on relative respiratory depth revealed a 10%-deviation from baseline at about 25.27 mg/$m^3$. Conclusion: The proposed new approach to risk assessment appearsto be sustainable. We discuss whether a 10%-deviation of breathingdepth is relevant.

도시철도 기관사조직의 안전리더십과 관련요인 간의 인과관계 구조분석 (A Structural Analysis of Causality between Safety Leadership and Related Factors in the Metro Driver Organization)

  • This study highlights the theme of safety leadership in railway organization, conducting empirical analysis on the relationship between safety climates, safety leadership, safety behavior, and accident. The empirical test results based on questionnaires received from 223 train drivers working at A subway firm indicated that relationship between CEO's safety philosophy, and safety communication showed a significant positive effect on boss's safety leadership. And boss's safety leadership showed a positive influence on observation belonging to safety behavior, which in turn showed a significant negative relationship with mistake. However, mistake, observation and violation were shown that there are no relationship with accidents.
