자성유체시일의 마찰토크와 온도분포 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study On the Friction Torque and Temperature Distribution of Magnetic Fluid Seals)

  • The performance characteristics of magnetic fluid seals are studied numerically as a function of working gap, pole width, angle of pole sharpening, and shaft speed. The temperature distribution of a magnetic fluid seal with multiple tooth is investigated as a function of the contact fraction of magnetic fluids at the periphery of pole tooth using a finite element method. The most significant design parameter of a magnetic fluid seal is the working gap between the pole pieces and the rotating shaft. The result shows that with increasing the working gap, the friction torque decreases radically. The practical working gap for the pole pieces with triangular tooth zone profile is 0.2-0.4mm. The FEM results indicate that the optimal filling of a magnetic fluid between the pole pieces and the shaft is very important due to the accumulations of nonuniform friction heating within the pole pieces, which may interfere the magnetic circuit flow.

취부용 피스(piece)제거 및 사상 작업 자동화장비 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Development of the Grinding Robot to Remove Welding-bid of Working Pieces)

  • This paper presents the application of a robot which aims at grinding automatically welding-bead remained in the removal job of working pieces for shipbuilding. In specific, the investigation on this application is composed of two parts; one topic is on the development of a robot platform vertically movable on a steel plate of hull, while the other topic is of the development of a grinding tool mechanism in order to remove welding-beads by using a diamond wheel installed on a servo cylinder (which can result in high working pressure on the grinding wheel). Besides, the development of a vision system for tracking welding-beads as well as recognizing welding surfaces is added for the convenience of this robot application to the removal of welding-beads remained in the working pieces for shipbuilding.

패션연출 방법에 관한 조사 연구 -직장영성을 중심으로- (A study on the method of Fashon Coordination -In the Focus of Working Women-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the tendency of the fashion coordination of working women to explain it's trend according to occupation and to present the fundamental data for the new fashion coordination This study selected as objects 500 working women who are working around Seoul and Kyenggi Province and collected statistics of 471 pieces of data by questionnaire examination methods. The data are analysed by the factor analysis, the method of quantification the {{{{ chi _2 }} analysis the correspondence analysis in SAS system and the cronbach's-$\alpha$ are produced for measurig confidence. The result is following as ; 1)According to the factor analysis the factors in the fashion coordination is classified into by 4 kinds this is the self-confidence corrdination the accessary coordination the trend coordination and the individuality coordination. The fashion coordination is affected by occupation and marriage. By occupation saleswomen show high interests in the fashion coordination By marriage Single women have more interest in the fashion coordination than the married ones. 2) Accordint to the correspondence analysis nurses and selling women purchase clothing by pieces for the piece coordination while saleswomen teachers and office women purchase clothing with accessaries. Specially teachers and saleswomen choose accessaries of similar color to clothing for coordination considering their occupation (job) 3) There were singnificant effects color accessory coordination by their cocupation . 4) Most have interests in the fashion coordination but have low confidence in their own.

도그피스를 고려한 선체 블록 조인트의 용접변형 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Welding Deformation of Hull Block Joint considering Dog-Pieces)

  • 조선소에서는 블록 조인트의 용접 작업 시 단차 조정 및 변형 방지의 목적으로 도그피스(Dog-Piece)를 사용하고 있는데, 조선소마다 그 규모에 따라 연간 수십만 개의 도그피스를 사용하고 있으며 설치, 제거 및 사상 작업에 투입되는 생산시수도 연간 수십만 시수에 이르고 있어 생산성 향상의 저해 요인이 되고 있다. 본 연구는 선체 블록의 정도 품질을 확보하면서 도그피스의 사용량 절감 방안을 마련하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 내용으로는 우선 일련의 용접실험을 통해 도그피스가 맞대기 용접시의 변형에 미치는 구속 효과를 정량적으로 검토하였고, 실험 결과를 토대로 도그피스가 부착된 맞대기 용접시의 변형을 계산하는 유한요소 해석 방법을 정립하였다. 또한, 제안된 해석 방법을 이용하여 도그피스를 고려한 선체블록 조인트의 용접변형을 시뮬레이션하고 결과를 검토하였다. 제안된 해석 방법은 향후 도그피스 배치도면 작성 및 설치 가이드 작성 등의 실질적인 도그피스 절감 방안을 마련하기 위한 해석 도구로 폭넓게 활용될 수 있다.

  • Alloy 718 nozzle component was manufactured by hot working and electron beam welding process. In this process, domestic 718 materials were applied and evaluated. Hot compression tests were carried out at a lot of process conditions and microstructural evaluation was investigated. Using the results, FEM simulations were performed in order to optimize the hot working process. After hot working, forged work-pieces were machined and welded by electron beam. Final nozzle component were heat treated and their microstructure and mechanical properties were investigated.

  • Objectives: In working environment measurement, sampling is an important stage for obtaining reliable result as analysis. A personal air sampling pump is one of the most fundamental and important element in the work environment measurement, but it remains at the level of calibrating the flow rate of the pump before and after sampling. There is no checking whether the flow rate set at the initial stage would be hold during sampling. The purpose of this study was to develop a method to evaluate the flow rate performance of particulate sampling pump with three-pieces cassette holder containing filters commonly used to sample particulate. Materials and methods: We tested back pressure of particulate sampling pumps commonly used in Korea with three-pieces cassette holder containing various filters, and tried to find out the combination conditions of filters in accordance with back pressure required by ISO standard 13137. Results: We found out the matrix of sampling media such as three-pieces cassette holder containing filters applicable to the pressure drop required by the ISO standard for evaluating the flow rate stability under increasing pressure drop and long term(8 hour) performance. Conclusions: This evaluation method using sampling media matrix for checking flow rate stability proposed by this study could be very useful tool to find out good performance pumps before sampling.

  • To transform the enterprise system into the 'Real Time Enterprise' with respect to IT, I suggest the conceptual application model which is composed of pieces(components) extracted from different packaged applications working in a heterogeneous environment based on the 'business activity' in other words, business services provided by internal (inter-enterprise) and external (extended enterprise) application to support a business activity within in an enterprise and the design mechanism focusing service tier which acts as intermediate tier within application architecture.

Furniture Design from Geometric Abstraction

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest a new approach to geometric abstraction for furniture design. For this study, Geometric abstraction that was done during 1917 through 1939 was investigated. Geometric abstraction is one form of pure abstraction and is mainly concerned with geometric elements and primary colors. De stijl and Bauhaus, which were emphasized groups during this period were influenced by geometric abstract arts. The purpose of this body of work has been to create furniture pieces that would express and embody my exploration and interpretation of geometric abstraction. The various compositions of geometric shapes, pure proportion, and primary color have been a focal point.

액체암모니아 휨가공 소재를 응용한 디자인 (Design Using Bent Wood Plasticized with Liquid Ammonia)

  • Steaming has been used for bending wood for a long time, but the steam-bent wood is subject to spring-back and a relatively large radius of curvature. Liquid ammonia is known as an excellent wood plasticizer swelling both crystal and amorphous cellulose. Liquid ammonia technique for wood plasticization was developed and applied for bending alder and padauk pieces, which were used as parts of wooden furniture. The study confirmed that liquid ammonia bent wood can be used for various wood working design.
