Cryptosporidium and Giardia are 2 protozoan parasites responsible for waterborne diseases outbreaks worldwide. In order to assess the prevalence of these protozoans in drinking water samples in the northern part of Portugal and the risk of human infection, we have established a long term program aiming at pinpointing the sources of surface water, drinking water, and environmental contamination, working with the water-supply industry. Total 43 sources of drinking water samples were selected, and a total of 167 samples were analyzed using the Method 1623. Sensitivity assays regarding the genetic characterization by PCR and sequencing of the genes, 18S SSU rRNA, for Cryptosporidium spp. and $\beta$, -giardin for G. duodenalis were set in the laboratory. According to the defined criteria, molecular analysis was performed over 4 samples. Environmental stages of the protozoa were detected in 25.7% (43 out of 167) of the water samples, 8.4% (14 out of 167) with cysts of Giardia, 10.2% (17 out of 167) with oocysts of Cryptosporidium and 7.2% (12 out of 167) for both species. The mean concentrations were 0.1-12.7 oocysts of Cryptosporidium spp. per 10 L and 0.1-108.3 cysts of Giardia duodenalis per 10 L. Our results suggest that the efficiency in drinking water plants must be ameliorated in their efficiency in reducing the levels of contamination. We suggest the implementation of systematic monitoring programs for both protozoa. To authors' knowledge, this is the first report evaluating the concentration of environmental stages of Cryptosporidium and Giardia in drinking water samples in the northern part of Portugal.
Purpose: A mother's working environment is believed to be a major determinant of exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) practice. We aimed to define the influence of a facility dedicated to breastfeeding and a breastfeeding support program at the workplace on breastfeeding practice. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed in five workplaces. The inclusion criteria were female workers whose last child was between 6 and 36 months old. Observational data were obtained and a questionnaire was filled out. The World Health Organization definition for EBF was used. Results: Data from 186 subjects (74 office workers and 112 factory workers) were collected. Just over half (52%) of the mothers were between 20 and 46 years old, 75.3% had graduated from high school and university, 12.9% had more than two children and 36.0% owned a house. The prevalence of EBF during the last 6 months was 32.3%. A proper dedicated breastfeeding facility was available for 21.5% of the mothers, but only 7.5% had been in contact with a breastfeeding support program. The presence of a dedicated breastfeeding facility increased EBF practice almost threefold, by an odds ratio (OR) of 2.74 and a 95% confidence interval (CI) of 1.34-5.64 (p<0.05). Knowledge of the breastfeeding support program increased EBF practice by almost six times (OR, 5.93; 95% CI, 1.78-19.79) (p<0.05). Conclusion: Our findings suggest that Governments should make it obligatory for employers to offer a breastfeeding support program and a dedicated breastfeeding facility at the workplace as these simple measures significantly increase EBF.
Creativity has become a buzzword in the 21s1 century to the extent that it is considered as one of the criteria for a nation's competitiveness. In the cultural industry, one of the industries with the highest growth potential, creativity is the decisive factor Nevertheless, we have to admit that there is a serious lack of this quality in the planning area. Everyone is born with creativity and creative way of looking at things can be developed through training and education. Most of universities now classify digital contents within the realm of design, therefore, emphasizing only the formal or the artistic side of it. However, the study of digital contents requires creative thinking processes that are oriented to problem-solving, for which one needs to put together his/her planning (socio-cultural), expressive (artistic) and technological (scientific) capabilities at the same time. Also, the education of digital contents should be focused not only on acquiring the knowledge and skills, but also on developing individual creativity and learning to increase one's creativity working in a team of an organization. For the environmental aspect, education for creativity should take into account social and cultural specificities of Korea. Therefore, continuous studies must be done to explore more concrete ways of developing creativity on the individual, organizational and environmental levels.

Despite much recent researches on career development or career movement, research on domestic librarians' career development are rarely conducted. Therefore this study examined the career movement of directors of public libraries as one aspect of research for librarian workforce. This study surveyed directors of public libraries and analyzed the following points; age of first job, initial type of career, age when they became the director. Factors affecting career move, career paths, working years by career steps, the number of changing department before director, training opportunities for manager, and so on. This study also analyzed what kinds of efforts they exerted to become a director. The result showed 45.1% of respondents made an effort to increase knowledge and skills, 23.6% undertook an effort to improve their honesty and gain their integrity, 12.8% underwent an effort to increase competence and self-management efforts in about the library. Through analyzing the career development process of public library directors, we can find the ideal path for career development to become a director of public libraries.
This study reviewed the, reference of health promotion program and investigated the status of health promotion program at work sites in U.S.A. Good health promotion program is essential for both employees and employers to reduce morbidity rate, to promote productivity and to enhance quality of life and so on. Health promotion aimed at modifying unhealthy life-styles by building awareness, knowledge, skills, and interpersonal support. And health promotion cycle is resemblance to the plan-do-check-act. The major contents of this study are briefed following as : 1) Links between life-style, environment, and health 2) Effect of work sites health promotion effort 3) Prevalence and contents of work site health promotion programs 4) Health promotion process 5) Program framework and structure 6) Stages in the health promotion cycle 7) Approaches for modifying organizational stressors In addition this, the survey was conducted to aim diagnosing the status of health promotion p개gram in work sites in Korea. The main finding-outs are summarized as follows: 1) In 4 large size work sites, there are working with 1 doctor in all work sites, 1 nurse per 3,000 employees and other health related professionals. They have clinic office(4 work sites), gymnasium(2 work sites), and other many facilities like physical therapy center. And only one company have a wellness clinic center. All employees use to exercise health gymnastics in terms of 5 minutes regularly 2 times in a day. 2) In 4 middle size work sites, there are no doctor, 1 nurse and 1 nutritionist in all work sites. They have also clinic, physical therapy center(1 work site), and all employees exercise health gymnastics regularly 2 times in a day too.

Ubiquitous computing environment means the computing environment that has taken its position so closely with the ordinary living so much like air or water. In building up the U-Korea, one of the important issues is the social issue from the drastic increase of senior population. The contemporary society has its distinct trend in increase of senior household following the nuclear family orientation, increase of working parents with the advancement of women in society, unable to support seniors for long distance or short distance of business trip and other reasons that the need of senior welfare has been ever more felt. Accordingly, the Ministry of Government Affairs and Home Administration has developed the wireless paging system to make prompt response system for 119 Rescue when the single senior is encountered with emergency situation that is has been widely provided for the socially neglected people such as single senior, the disabled persons and others. Currently, the wireless paging system is operated as the sub-system for emergency rescue information system, but due to the lack of reliability of product, problems of terminal portable transmitter, receptor and others, rejection of beneficiary and lack of knowledge in use, insufficient management and supervision of managing officers, the efficiency has been declined that there is a need of development for the system. Therefore, this study proposes the context aware information structure of the subject of ubiquitous wireless paging system required for the development of the wireless paging system model of ubiquitous environment that improved the problems of currently operated wireless paging system.
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Self-foot reflexology (SFR) on the hypertension of workers. The purpose of the research was to evaluate: levels of knowledge, physical and emotional condition, work stress and fatigue on the hypertension of employees in the workplace. Quasi-experimental study was designed in the setting of a nonequivalent control and experimental Group applied by the pre and post test. The total subjects undertaken in the study were total of 34 employees working in three companies in Seoul. The SFR program was consisted of 6 phases. There were 2 minutes for preparation, 4 minutes for slow down, 26 minutes for base reflex, symptoms of a disease reflex and excretion reflex stimulation. Finally, there was 20 minutes relaxation in a comfortable posture and drinking hot water after blood pressure was checked in the order. This program was running 55 minutes a day everyday three times a week during the entire 8 week course. The finding showed blood pressure was reduced significantly. Moreover, the level of total cholesterol. high and low density lipoprotein cholesterol, depression, work stress, and fatigue were decreased in the study. But, they were not statistically significant except as it related to Group comparisons in time. The level of state anxiety was statistically significant between 2 Groups, but not in the time comparison of both Groups. As a summary of the study results, the SFR program was regarded as contributing to the physical and emotional promotion of employees. It had partially increased body circulations of functional organ related to the SFR sites. And, it improved relaxation of physical and mental condition through energy movement 'Chi'. Therefore, the SFR technique should be considered as an effective skill of a nursing program. Furthermore, it can be newly adopted as a nursing curriculum as a part of alternative treatment. However, it still needed to testify its effects through the review study.
A purpose of this study is degree of recognition and consciousness investigation about a satisfaction duty before admission about a school subject of some academic dental hygiene students. From responses to individual written survey questionnaires answered by 608 students who are studying Dental Hygiene at colleges in Mokpo, Iksan, Gangneung. The following are the results regarding their satisfaction levels with their majors and their interest in working abroad: 1. Regarding the motivating factors to major in Dental Hygiene, most students(51.3%), particularly most freshmen(57.3%), have chosen this major because of more job opportunities than students with other majors. The most common source of information in choosing majors is the Internet(30.8%). 2. Most students do not want to change their majors even if they are provided with the chance to do so(65.5%). They are in general satisfied with their studies. The result shows that the Dental Hygiene majors are positive toward their major. 3. Most students will choose their jobs by their own choices(40.6%), and the most important factor in their choices is the opportunity of self-growth and development(33.1%). The survey results show that the Dental Hygiene students value their own decisions and self-realization. 4. Showed the difference that as a result of having seen a knowledge degree advance a school subject of major in Dental Hygiene by a school year and ash students, an admission motive, relevance of an information acquisition path, all noted. 5. And were able to see the difference that noted in an adviser, work selection bases in case of work selection whether or not there was a dissatisfaction reason about a major and a criminal record.
The purpose of this study was to examine the recognition level related to the infection prevention in dental medical institute in dental hygienists and to offer basic data of enhancing the knowledge education in dental hygienists on the infection prevention according to it. As a result of collecting and analyzing data by using the self-administered questionnaire on April 27, 2008 targeting 230 dental hygienists who are working at hospitals and clinics in P,K region, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. Dental hygienists' recognition on hospital-virus treatment method was indicated to be averagely 1.20 out of 3-point perfection. 2. The recognition on infection was indicated to be averagely 2.64 out of 4-point perfection. The statistically significant difference was shown with the appearance of periodical health examination(t=-2.42, p<.05) and by infection-education experience(t=2.28, p<0.05). 3. The recognition on an infection disease was indicated to be averagely 4.38 out of 8-point perfection. The significant difference(t=3.52, p<0.05) was shown depending on task in charge. 4. The recognition on the infection prevention in dental treatment institute was indicated to be averagely 4.89 out of 7-point perfection. The recognition on the infection prevention of dental treatment institute in dental hygienists, who work for general hospital, was indicated to be the highest. Accordingly, it was considered to be required an effort for dental hygienists, other dental-medical practitioners, and patients to be able to treated safely by enhancing the recognition level on infection prevention in dental hygienists and by maximally reducing exposure to infection in dental medical institute.

Nowadays the theory and information about 3D films is overflowed. It is necessary to find practices and to accumulate data useful in production of 3D films. There are several ways of working to achieve high quality 3D films. In any way that's chosen, there are priorities to be considered to create well-balanced 3D films. The aim of this article is to review primary considerations in film-making and share the technical issues experienced during the production of "Let's go to the amusement park again, Mom." Because the current practical knowledge in making 3D film is shallow, this article will offer a possible reference for further research.
