Methods: 180 dental technicians in Seoul, Incheon, and Chungnam area were selected. Survey was carried out from April 6, 2009 to May 20, 2009 by using self-administered questionnaire. As for the tools for this study, the structured questionnaire was used with its proven reliability and feasibility, and the contents of questionnaire consisted of 43 questions on the basis of related references. The questionnaire consisted of total 32 questions which included general attribute of subjects(14 questions), working Environment(20 questions) and turnover intention(9 questions). The data analysis was processed by computerized system with SPSS 12.0. Statistical analysis techniques included frequency, percentage, T-test, F-test analysis and regression analysis. Results: As a result of analyzing the research subjects' working environment level, there was significant difference in the item of health(P<0.05). The average in the working environment was indicated to be high with 1.53. As a result of analyzing the research subjects' turnover intention level, there was difference in the item of working hours a day(Hour), job satisfaction level, plan for task continuity, most difficulty given task(P<0.05). The average of turnover intention was indicated to be high with 2.85. Conclusion: Correlation between working environment and turnover intention, most of variables were indicated to have reverse correlation, thereby having been shown that the worse working environment leads to the more turnover intention.

Methods: There were 36 nursing students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group, who were recruited from a university in I-city, Korea. A Chi-square, t-test, and ANOVA with the SPSS/Win 21.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group showed a statistically significant increase in the total score for multicultural awareness toward North Korean defectors over the control group (t=0.85, p=.026). Scores for cognitive area (t=0.89; p=.037), ritual area (t=-0.10, p=.915), and action area (t=1.18, p=.031) increased, but the conscious area score was not statistically significant. The experimental group showed a statistically significant increase in the total score for multi-cultural efficacy for North Korean refugees (t=0.36, p=.030). Scores for cognitive area (t=0.63; p=.029), working area (t=0.05, p=.955), and emotional area (t=0.79 and p=030) increased, but the working area score was not statistically significant. Conclusion: It was found that the program to promote multicultural efficacy related to North Korean defectors applied in this study was effective in enhancing multicultural awareness and efficacy of nursing students.

  • Blood toluene concentrations of thirty nine Korean toluene-exposed workers in shoes making factory were checked by headspace-gas chromatographic analysis. Air toluene concentrations in each worker's working region also checked by personal sampler during workshift and analyzed by gas chromatography. The range of blood toluene concentration was 0.15-0.84mg/L. The range of toluene concentration of each worker's working area was 8.46-189.9ppm. The correlation between blood and air concentration of toluene was 0.824.

  • Purpose: This study was to examine health status, reproductive health problems and the degree of prenatal management in working women. Method: The subjects were 902 married working women among 2,000 women selected by cluster sampling. The work area was classified to product factory, school, office, etc. After an Informed consent was obtained, participants were asked to fill out a self-administered questionnaire. The instruments included a questionnaire, parity check list, menstrual problems and gynecologic problem check list. Result: Many women have experienced menstrual cycle change during the past year. There was a significant difference in general health, menstrual regularity, reproductive health and prenatal management by occupation type. 40.6 percent of the subjects have gynecological problems such as menstrual cycle change, perineal inflammation, irregular vaginal bleeding, amenorrhea, ovarian/uterine disease, infertility, or abortion. Prenatal care was received in only 28.5% of the total subjects. In addition, 16.3% answered they had experienced low birth weight babies. Conclusion: We can conclude that working woman have changes in menstruation cycle and in reproductive health status. Therefore, we suggest that some occupational characteristics may affect subject's reproductive health, these should be clear and avoided as much as possible.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to grasp association with dental hygienists' job expectation through correlation between curricular subjects for the department of dental hygiene and job. Methods : It carried out convenience sampling of dental hospitals where are located in Capital Area, and then conducted a self-administered questionnaire survey targeting 274 dental hygienists who are working here. The statistical program was analyzed by using PSAW 18.0. Results : Research subjects' 60.2% experienced turnover. Its reason accounted for 31.7% with the working condition. As a result of examining difference in experience of turnover according to dental hygienists' individual characteristic and working form, the significant difference was shown in age, marriage, annual salary, working institution, and career. In consequence of confirming association between curricular subjects and job, the majority showed high correlation. However, the correlation with oral physiology, clinical dental hygiene, and dental clinics showed low correlation as the insignificant variable. Conclusions : As a result of this study, the high correlation between curricular subjects and job can be considered to reflect dental hygienists' job expectation. On the other hand, the working condition, professional sense, and turnover experience, which are factors related to dental hygienists' job expectation, were indicated to fail to meet job expectation.

  • It is not entirely new tendency now that museum have to become 'participation and working activity style' in 21st century. A lot of museums are changed fast to that visitors participate and work actively in museum program recently in Korea. Cheongju city is building various museums which have interesting themes contributed precious inheritances and collections belong to citizens. And Cheongju city is pushing ahead long-term target which is Ecomuseum City Cheongju with citizen is progressing for cultural city continuously. Also to become public museums and facilities which visitors want to come again, Cheongju city is trying to secure various experience space and facilities to keep in step in trend that visitors take part in and work actively in museum program. In an area, there are various cultural, historical, natural and industrial heritages that express relation of human and environment. In meaning that do function of antenna of sending culture which understanding, studying, informing these regional inheritances and promoting activity, in Ecomuseum, those are called "satellite" included not only regional preserved inheritances but also various theme museums which have mutual cooperative function. Satellite(or antenna) is very important element composing Ecomuseum. So I want to provide that is "Exhibition Working-Activity Satellite" that are places having experience space or facilities which visitors can work actively there like that. Such study for Ecomuseum and Exhibition Working-Activity Satellite can be promoted Ecomuseum City which is city for learning lifetime with citizens.

  • The thermosyphon SDHWS and the loop type thermosyphon systems are widely used for domestic hot water system. The loop type thermosyphon is a circulation device for transferring the heat produced at the evaporator to the condenser area in the loop. In this study, the operating characteristics of various working fluids being used have been identified. The working fluids employed in the study were ethanol. water, and a binary mixture of ethanol and water. The volume of working fluid used in this study were 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% and 70% of evaporator volume. It is observed that, in the thermosyphon with low volume of working fluid, such as 30% or 40%, the fluid was dried out. The flow pattern and mechanism of the heat transfer were identified through this study. Flow patterns of the binary mixture working fluid were also investigated, and the patterns were recorded in the camera. The system parameters were calculated using the thermal performance data. Modelling of the system was carried out using PSTAR method and TRNSYS program.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the policy demands of the family sector for work-family balance, with a focus on the child care and household labor provisions. For empirical analysis, data were collected from 197 dual-income families with at least one young child under age 10 in the metropolitan area via self-administered questionnaires. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, child care provisions for working mothers and fathers were insufficient and unfair, and the ratio of child care provisions offered by familial child care network was high. The characteristics of child care provisions for working parents were associated with family structure, working conditions, and demographic variables. Second, household labor provisions for working mothers and fathers were also insufficient and unfair, and the ratio of socialization was high. Third, the level of family satisfaction varied by the level of child care and household labor provisions, respectively, controlling family structure, working conditions, and demographic variables. The empirical results of the study provided policy implications for work-family balance.
