The Relationship between Work Values and Entrepreneurial Attitudes: Implications for the Distribution Industry

  • Purpose - This study aims to examine the impact of work values on entrepreneurial attitudes, and test the moderating effect of entrepreneurial opportunity identification on the above mentioned relationship as well. Research design, data, and methodology - A questionnaire survey was conducted to 258 employees who comes from 8 different types of the enterprises in northwestern of China, and the corresponding research model was verified. Results - The results show that "comfort and security" (one dimension of work values) has a significant negative impact on entrepreneurial attitudes. Another two dimensions of work values, such as "competence and growth" and "status and independence" have a significant positive impact on entrepreneurial attitudes. In addition, entrepreneurial opportunity identification has a significant moderating effect on the relations between work values and entrepreneurial attitudes. Specifically, only the entrepreneurship opportunity identification positively moderates the relationship between status & independence and entrepreneurial attitudes. Conclusions - This research further enriches the relevant theories of organizational behavior and entrepreneurships. This study also has guiding significance and value for management practice, especially for this research results implies, that is, individual's ability to entrepreneurial opportunity identification (e.g., identify feasible distribution channel for potential new venture) is important in entrepreneurship.

  • The article deals with the role of extra-curricular work by means of multimedia technologies in order to improve the quality of training of future specialists. An important condition for achieving high results in training specialists is the optimal combination of classroom and independent extra-curricular work of students by means of multimedia technologies. Very significant is the development of student independence, the formation of skills of independent search activity, the ability to take responsibility, independently solve a problem, find constructive solutions, a way out of a crisis situation, and so on. Extra-curricular work forms students' ability to master the techniques of analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison; develops flexibility of thinking; opens up opportunities for the development and stabilization of positive learning motives to activate the process of mastering knowledge by means of multimedia technologies as a means of forming the personality of a highly qualified specialist. The concept of multimedia as one of the priority areas of Information Technology, which plays a particularly important role in the process of informatization of education, is revealed, and its advantages in education are shown. The advent of multimedia systems optimizes transformations in education, in many areas of professional activity, science, art, etc. The necessity of distance learning to improve the quality of training of future specialists using multimedia technologies in extra-curricular work is justified. The effectiveness of pedagogical support in the process of distance learning is achieved by the following conditions, which is revealed in the article. Various forms and types of extra-curricular work of students that are used in the modern practice of the educational environment of a higher education institution are described. Scientific and informational activity is considered a key area of information activity. The analysis of scientific and information activities in the field of education allows us to identify its main functions, which emphasize the growing role of scientific information in the education system, in particular, extra-curricular work using multimedia technologies. Operational, complete, accurate, targeted information that meets objective and subjective needs becomes an important link between the field of management, science and practice.

  • The article considers current information technologies in the organization of educational work in secondary schools in Great Britain. The forms and types of organization of educational work in secondary schools of Great Britain with the help of modern information technologies are covered. The purposes of education with the help of modern information technologies are singled out. Mental, physical, labor, moral, aesthetic and other types of education, merged in a holistic educational process, provide an opportunity to achieve the main goal - the formation of a comprehensive and harmoniously developed personality. All forms of educational work have their pedagogical significance, and each of them is valuable in the process of education. Democratization and partnership development are the leading principles of education in British schools at the present stage; multiculturalism and student independence. This is the ability to promote the role of different types of education, such as: labor, moral, legal, religious, family, environmental, aesthetic, civic, physical, mental education, which is now possible with the help of current information technology. 전문대학에서 NCS 수리능력 수업의 효과성 분석 (Analysis of Effectiveness of NCS Mathematics Ability Course in Junior College)

  • 읍면지역의 전문대학 학생들은 공통적으로 수학의 기초학력 부족을 겪고 있다. 이러한 문제점으로 인해 전공의 기초지식이 부족하여 전공학습에 어려움을 겪게 된다. 그리고 학업에 흥미를 잃어 결국 휴학이나 자퇴를 하는 경우가 많거나 취업을 하여도 직장생활에 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하고 해결하고자 국가에서는 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 제안하고 있다. NCS에서 제안하는 직업기초능력은 직종이나 직위에 상관없이 대부분의 직종에서 직무를 성공적으로 수행하는데 필요한 능력이다. 이러한 직업기초능력 중 하나인 수리능력을 전문대학의 수학교육에 적용시키고자 한다. NCS 수리능력을 전문대학 학생들에게 적용하였을 경우, NCS 수리능력 수업의 효과성을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 통해 바람직한 전문대학 수리능력의 교육방향을 모색하고 수학의 기초학력 제고와 흥미를 유발하게 하는 데 그 목적이 있다.

간호사의 대인관계 능력이 재직 의도와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Interpersonal Relationship Ability on Nurses' Retention Intention and Turnover Intention in a General Hospital )

  • 본 연구는 간호사의 대인관계 능력이 재직 의도와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향을 경력집단별로 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 편의표집에 의한 일개 종합병원의 일반 간호사 192명이었다(경력 36개월 이하 95명, 37개월 이상 97명). 자료수집 기간은 2022년 2월 15일-22이었다. 자료 분석은 t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis 등을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구결과를 보면, 이직 의도가 여자에서 더 높게 나타났다. 그리고 경력 37개월 이상 집단에서 대인관계 능력이 재직 의도와 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 대인관계 능력의 재직 의도에 대한 영향의 분석에서는 37개월 이상 집단에서 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 대인관계 능력의 이직 의도에 대한 영향은 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 간호사들의 재직 의도 증진을 위해 대인관계 능력 강화를 위한 전략을 구축할 필요가 있으며, 이때 경력을 고려해야 할 것이다.

대상물 인식을 위한 지능센서 및 평가기법 개발 (Development Smart Sensor & Estimation Method to Recognize Materials)

  • This paper describes our primary study for a new method of recognizing materials, which is need for precision work system. This is a study of dynamic characteristics of smart sensors, new method$(R_{SAI})$ has the sensing ability of distinguishing materials. Experiment and analysis are executed for finding the proper dynamic sensing condition. First, we developed advanced smart sensor. We made smart sensors for experiment. The type of smart sensor is HH type. The smart sensor was developed for recognition of material. Second, we develop new estimation methods that have a sensing ability of distinguish materials. Dynamic characteristics of sensor are evaluated through new recognition index$(R_{SAI})$ that ratio of sensing ability index. Distinguish of object is executed with $R_{SAI}$ method relatively. We can use the $R_{SAI}$ method for finding materials. Applications of this method are finding abnormal condition of object (auto-manufacturing), feeling of object(medical product), robotics, safety diagnosis of structure, etc.

암환자를 돌보는 간호사의 감성지능, 직무스트레스, 의사소통능력이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Emotional Intelligence, Job Stress, and Communication Ability on Nursing Performance of Nurses Caring for Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: This study examined the effect of emotional intelligence, job stress, and communication ability on nursing performance of nurses caring for cancer patients. Methods: This is a descriptive study involving 185 nurses with an experience of longer than 6 months at K university hospital in B metropolitan city. The data was collected from March 2nd 2021 to March 31st 2021, and analyzed using the descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The factors affect the nursing performance of participants were emotional intelligence, total clinical career, communication ability, job stress and satisfaction of current department. The total explanatory power of those variables on the nursing performance was 43.8%. Conclusion: In order to improve nursing performance, it is necessary to apply a program for improving emotional intelligence and communication ability, and for controlling and coping with job stress, considering the career of a nurse taking care for cancer patients. In addition, efficient manpower management and material support at the hospital organization level are required.

Measures of Work-life Balance and Interventions of Reasonable Accommodations for the Return to Work of Cancer Survivors: A Scoping Review

  • Background: Nearly half of patients diagnosed with cancer are in the middle of their traditional working age. The return to work after cancer entails challenges because of the cancer or treatments and associated with the workplace. The study aimed at providing more insight into the occupational outcomes encountered by workers with cancer and to provide interventions, programs, and practices to support their return to work. Methods: A scoping review was conducted using the Arksey and O'Malley framework and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses for scoping review guidelines. Relevant studies were systematically searched in PubMed/MEDLINE, SCOPUS and Grey literature from 01 January 2000 to 22 February 2024. Results: The literature search generated 3,017 articles; 53 studies were considered eligible for this review. Most of the studies were longitudinal and conducted in Europe. Three macroarea were identified: studies on the impact of cancer on workers in terms of sick leave, employment, return to work, etc.; studies reporting wider issues that may affect workers, such as the compatibility of treatment and work and employment; studies reporting interventions or policies aiming to promote the return to work. Conclusion: There is a lack in the literature in defining multidisciplinary interventions combining physical, psycho-behavioural, educational, and vocational components that could increase the return-to-work rates. Future studies should focus on interdisciplinary return to work efforts with multiple stakeholders with the involvement of an interdisciplinary teamwork (healthcare workers and employers) to combine these multidisciplinary interventions at the beginning of sick leave period.
