The purpose of this paper is to investigate risk factors and ergonomically improve the manufacturing lines of compressors for prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, enhancement of productivity, and workers satisfaction We executed questionnaire survey, ergonomic risk factors investigation of manufacturing lines and ergonomic intervention of work methods, workplace and hand tools. The results of the questionnaire showed that $7.9\%$ of respondents were positive in WMSDs symptom survey. In ergonomic evaluation, the analysis methods such as RULA and NIOSH lifting equation were used and 28 processes in the lines were evaluated to be potentially hazardous. We ergonomically improved the processes to reduce potential WMSDs hazards : manual material handling, carts, work tables, transport methods, working posture and hand tools.

A multi axis whetstone polishing system, which uses the flow system of the stone polishing machine head, has been developed. The test results show that the defect by line contact polishing does not occur in both ends of the stone and that it came to trim smoothly. In terms of the surface roughness, the corresponding index was decreased by 3.6 times, improving the polishing effect greatly. It decreased significantly the dust and noise with the wet polishing. The factors of the duty evasion at production site can thus be solved with the work environment improvement against the polishing process of the stone industry and work intensive reduction.

Based on the analysis of defects occurring before and after painting work, this study intends to derive a reasonable improvement in judgment criteria and propose an amendment to the relevant law through the establishment of a clear fire door replacement cycle in terms of fire safety.

In the United States, the completion of Construction Work Zone (CWZ) impact assessments for all federally-funded highway infrastructure improvement projects is mandated, yet it is regarded as a daunting task for state transportation agencies, due to a lack of standardized analytical methods for developing sounder Transportation Management Plans (TMPs). To circumvent these issues, this study aims to create a spatiotemporal modeling framework, dubbed "SWAT" (Spatiotemporal Work zone Assessment for TMPs). This study drew a total of 43,795 traffic sensor reading data collected from heavily trafficked highways in U.S. metropolitan areas. A multilevel-cluster-driven analysis characterized traffic patterns, while being verified using a measurement system analysis. An artificial neural networks model was created to predict potential 24/7 traffic demand automatically, and its predictive power was statistically validated. It is proposed that the predicted traffic patterns will be then incorporated into a what-if scenario analysis that evaluates the impact of numerous alternative construction plans. This study will yield a breakthrough in automating CWZ impact assessments with the first view of a systematic estimation method.

본 연구는 중소 제조업체의 친환경적 경영활동이 직무향상에 미치는 실증 연구로서 친환경 경영의 현황을 파악하고자 중소기업 제조업체를 대상으로 설문지 총 128개를 분석하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째. 중소기업의 친환경적 경영활동 중 사회적 활동은 직무향상에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 분석되었고, 둘째. 환경적 활동은 업무생산성에 𝛽= .394(p<.001)로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 직무만족에서는 𝛽=.216, p<.05로 낮은 인과관계를 보이며, 셋째. 경제적 경영활동은 직무만족에서 𝛽= .388(p<.001)로 유의한 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 업무생 산성에는 β= .267(p<.01)로 낮은 인과관계를 확인하였다. 따라서 직무향상에 미치는 영향 중 업무생산성은 환경적 활동이, 직무만족은 경제적 경영활동이 직무향상에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 중소기업의 친환경적 경영활동을 위한 환경조성과 경쟁력 있는 전략적 방향 제시 및 연구의 기초자료 제공에 의미가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to improve productivity for maximum effects with the present equipments and staff. This study compared and analyzed the mea-sured time by using stop watch method and MTM, which was the new measuring method. The flow and results of this study were as follows: 1. This study investigated the theoretical background the efficiency for production management, and the way of productivity improvement through documentary research. 2. Setting up the standard flow on the experi-mental company production, making out a process chart and measuring the actual working hour. 3. The study measured the allowance time applying work sampling. 4. Each process of the movement analysis was filmed by video to use basic data. 5. MTM analysis was taken by choosing 10 processes from front bodice according to the basic movement of MTM. Through the results, this study exclude unneccesary movements and suggest a method for working ways. 6. Using the actual working hour measured by a stop watch calculated the pitch time and presumed the amount of daily productivity. 7. The result of the work sampling came out as 38% of allowance rate. It was 13% higher than the standard amount of woman's jacket allowance rate, which was 25%. The most influencing factor was work discussion. That was because there were commuication problem of the work way between the operator and leader. More adequate use of flow table and level passing table was needed. There were the problems that inappropriate places and sizes made the distance of movements longer and often needed more adjustment of works and surroundings. To prevent breakdowns equipments check ups were necessary before works. 8. The results of MTM analysis were as follow : the time was reduced 40% than the actual measured time by a stop watch. This was because the leveling of the operator was included in the real calculation. Also, leveling was included in MTM analysis and all the conditions were standarized. Therefore MTM method was a scientidic measuring way of establishing the standard time. The presented method of this study, suggested an ideal method eliminating unneccesary motions, and presented standardization of works. Improvement of working methods, work condition and simplifying motions in each 10 processes reduced the working time from total 656 seconds to 301 seconds. 9. The way and time of working was linked together in the MTM analysis methods. Thus data from MTM help suggest not only establishing standard time but also establishing stan-dard work. Plus it includes various ability for improvements of working ways. So it is an objective method which can be widely used in other work studies. 10. The function of a time study is to determine the amount of work produced with a given method. The work rate is used to establish the cost of labor. The wage of worker must be calculated per unit time which is deter-mined before the time study is made. This study tried to introduce the incentive rule for deciding wages according to the standard time by MTM method.

The paper aims to apply a model of continuous quality improvement (CQI) to Taiwan provincial Pin Ton hospital. Tools of quality control were used both total quality management (TQM) and quality control circle (QCC) in order to approach the objective of ${\ulcorner}$higher quality, higher efficiency, lower cost${\lrcorner}$. During two years, this hospital has organized thirteen QC circles that were classified three categories according to that objective: four circles work for higher quality; the other four circles work for higher efficiency; five circles for lower cost. After implementation, several results were found from two viewpoints. From viewpoint of tangibility, one of the most outcomes is to reduce labor cost from 56 persons to 28 persons of temporary employees. From viewpoint of intangibility, the result was evaluated using radar chart to compare the difference after improvement. This paper is going to report the process of CQI for the hospital management because it is a new issue in Taiwan since 1997

We need to do the supervision work is necessary to prepare detailed criteria in order to pursue the electronic power facility's quality, prevention of poor construction, electric safety, and the qualitative improvement of electronic technology. The detail standard has need of legalization for systematic and efficiently achievement at the field of construction work. In such respect, this paper will examine a lump improvement of supervision works and prevention of poor construction by arranging the necessity of constructive supervision accomplishment guide notice and the establish plan for rationalization of supervision works.

The purpose of this study is to investigate quality of life in farm households. This study examines some related factors which influence the well-being of the family life among the rural housewives, such as the farm management, the leisure activity and the information. Questionnaires are distributed to the 200 housewives residing in Anseong. The 187 data obtained are analyzed by means of descriptive statistics. The results show that the role of the rural housewives is very important, because they work not only at home but also in work. The leisure of rural housewives is activated and increased in the modern society. Also the rural housewives have some information systems and use the system appropriate to cope with their problems in the environments. The current government and the business policy should be reevaluated and revised for the improvement of the rural housewives.
