  • Safety of workers and productivity in construction site are affected according to the conflict status of work spaces which are performed at a time. The interference among the work spaces in construction site should be minimized because it becomes a blocking factor that causes construction delay and low productivity. Those factors can be managed by reasonable H&S (Health & Safety) practice. This research suggests the requirements of H&S practice and rules to establish the strategy of H&S management based on the literature reviews related to H&S rule. The suggested H&S rule can be visualized for searching space conflict point if the rule is linked with visual simulation tool. Accordingly the research results can be used for improving and visualizing construction productivity by work space control in 4D/nD CAD system.

고성과작업시스템과 조직 혁신성과 간 관계: 인적 역량과 고객 대응 역량의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Relationship between High-performance Work Systems and Organizational Innovation Performance: Investigating the Roles of Human and Customer Service Competencies)

  • 지난 30여 년이 넘는 기간 동안 고성과작업시스템과 조직성과 간 관계에 대한 논의들이 활발히 이루어졌음에도 불구하고, 여전히 어떠한 맥락에서 고성과작업시스템이 유효한지, 지속적인 성과 창출 측면에서 고성과작업시스템이 어떻게 기여하는지에 대한 실증들은 여전히 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이러한 부분들을 설명하기 위해 고성과작업시스템이 조직의 지속적인 생존 가능성을 제고하는 혁신성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 한다. 뿐만 아니라, 고성과작업시스템이 운영되는 맥락에 따라 효과성이 달라진다는 상황적합론에 근거하여, 혁신성과에 주요 영향요인으로 고려되어 온 조직 내 인적 역량 및 고객 대응 역량 수준이 고성과작업시스템과 조직성과 간 주효과를 어떻게 조절하는지를 추가적으로 검증한다. 가설 검증을 위해 인적자본패널데이터를 활용하여 종단 분석을 실시한 결과, 고성과작업시스템은 특허출원수로 측정된 혁신성과에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 또한 조직 내 인적 역량(p<0.05) 및 고객 대응 역량 수준(p<0.01)이 높을수록 고성과작업시스템과 조직성과 간의 정(+)의 관계는 강화되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 결론에서는 전략적 인적자원관리 분야에 있어 본 연구가 가지는 시사점 및 한계에 대해 논의하였다.

여러 공급업체와 공동개발에서의 협업전략과 제품개발 성과 (Collaboration Management Strategies and Product Development Performance)

  • In collaborative product development with multiple suppliers, buyers must manage the suppliers' activities. This empirical research investigates the performance impacts of three strategies that buyers use to manage suppliers who design interdependent components. These strategies are: Instructionism (giving clear instructions to suppliers), Teaming (forming an interactive development team with suppliers), and Delegation (transferring component development responsibilities to suppliers). Data were collected through a cross-industry web-based survey of buying firms in manufacturing industries whose products require multiple, interdependent components. A path analysis utilizing 318 survey responses indicates that Instructionism has a positive effect on design quality, and Teaming has a positive effect on design quality and component innovation. The use of Delegation is not related to any of the performance indicators. The practical implication of this research for product development managers is that both Instructionism and Teaming can be effective strategies. For the purpose of assuring design quality, a buyer should give clear instructions in detailed specifications or work closely with suppliers in development teams. If competitive priority is product innovativeness, however, the buyer should work closely with its suppliers during component development processes using a Teaming strategy.

The Effects of Mobile Learning Factors and Training Transfer on the Effective Organisational Learning in Malaysian Oil and Gas Industry

  • Adoption of mobile learning (m-learning) is not new in Malaysian oil and gas industry, with heavy investment into research and development to train the workers. Nevertheless, the low application of learnt skills on the job remains an emergent research area where there is a missing link on the effects of m-learning and effective organisational learning and implication on its training transfer. The result of this quantitative research revealed that all variables in m-learning were found to have a positive relationship with the effective organisational learning, and there is evidence of training transfer as a mediator of the relationship between self-directed learning, training design, work environment and effective organisational learning. However, there were some discrepancies in the extend of training transfer between trainee characteristics and organisational learning. As such, some important issues emerged which challenge the importance of evaluating workers' readiness and transfer for a successful implementation of m-learning towards developing effective organisational learning.

스마트워커의 역량모델에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Competence Model of Smart Worker)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트워크 2.0 환경에 가장 필요한 스마트워커의 필요역량을 파악하고 가장 핵심적으로 적용될 수 있는 스마트워커의 역량모델을 정의하는데 있다. 스마트워커의 핵심적 역량모델로 창의혁신역량, 소셜역량, 디지털역량은 매우 필요수적이며, 각각의 역량은 서로 유기적인 연결관계가 있음을 논증하였다. 이와 같은 스마트워커의 3가지 필요 역량을 강화하고 관련된 스마트 기반을 마련하는 것이 스마트워크를 정착시키는데 매우 중요한 역할을 하게 될 것으로 판단된다.

공공 연구기관의 지적자본 측정 (Measurement of Intellectual Capital in Public Research Institute)

  • This paper aims to measure the intellectual capital (IC) of the E institute, a typical type of public research institute and to analyse the measurement results. Regarding the research framework, we basically adopted the 'Intangible Assets Monitor' proposed by Sveiby and comprising human capital, structural capital and relational capital. For this work, we firstly identified 37 intellectual capital indicators which are slightly, or sometimes totally, different from ones for private companies in the perspective of their organisational attributes and characteristics. Then, based on these 37 indicators, we measured a current state of the intellectual capital in 2003 and 2004 respectively and identified the range of variation between two years. Through this work, we try to show that the core competitiveness of the public research institute came from not tangible assets such as land, building and facilities, but intellectual capital including human competences, the rational organisational system and the stakeholder's satisfaction. As a result, it may constitute the first time in Korea for the E institute to measure its own intellectual capital for two years as well as to publish the findings of measurement.

일본기업의 R&D 인적자원관리의 현황과 과제 (Human Resource Management Practices for R&D Scientists and Engineers in Japanese Firms)

  • Japanese firms have developed their own distinctive human resource management(HRM) practices for R&D scientists and engineers. These practices consist of homogeneity of work group, standardized in-house training programs, great standardization and company control of careers, and broad job rotation following the process of commercialization of developed technology. These practices facilitate human and informational exchange and sharing between basic laboratories and development departments as well as between R&D and marketing department which contribute to the ket competitive advantage of Japanese products. But recently Japanese firm are forced to change their HRM practices. They face some srious problems in continuing their long0standing strategy of being a rapid and skillful‘ technology follower’,drawing on the basic research performed in the advanced nations and embodying it in products that are produced with high quality at relatively lower cost. There is a growing trend of strengthening basic research among Japanese firms today. In accordance with the emphasis on basic research, Japanese firms have been adopting new HRM practices for scientists and engineers which are in the opposite direction of the traditional one. These newly developed practices stress on individual vitality rather than group cohesiveness from the fusion of individual difference. These include heterogeneity of work group, multiple career paths to be chosen by individuals, incentive plan based individual performance.

한국기업의 글로벌 제휴활동이 제휴혁신에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on Effects of Global Alliance Activities on Alliance Innovations of Korean Companies)

  • 본 연구는 선행 연구와 실증연구를 병행하여 글로벌 제휴활동이 제휴혁신에 미치는 영향을 실증하였다. 연구 개념 사이에 영향을 검증하기 위하여 가설 6개를 설정하였고, 글로벌 제휴나 협력을 공시한 업체 중 기준에 적합한 업체 114곳에서 설문자료를 수집하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도분석, 요인분석, 회귀분석, 확인 요인분석, 구조방정식 모형분석, 회귀분석을 각각 하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 갈다. 첫째, 기업역량과 파트너 역량은 제휴창조활동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 제휴창조활동은 제휴활동에 고유한 체계와 문화를 확립하는 것으로서 기업역량과 파트너 역량을 결합하고 습득하기 위한 것이다. 따라서 제휴창조활동은 참여 업체 사이에 의사결정체계, 기업문화 등이 상이하여 발생하는 갈등을 방지하고, 제휴로써 기존 활동을 변모시키기 위하여 상호 학습하고 파트너에게 접근하기 위한 경로를 개척하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 기업역량과 파트너 역량은 제휴학습에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 제휴학습은 지식이나 역량을 통합하고 개발하여 조직과 가치사슬에 확산시키는 것으로서 기어역량과 파트너 역량을 교환하고 모방하여 제휴지식을 확장하는 것이 작용하였다고 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 제휴창조활동과 제휴학습 중 제휴학습이 제휴혁신에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 제휴학습은 다양한 조직수준에서 발생하는 상호작용과 제휴지식을 확장하고 습득하여 가치사슬과 조직에 확산되는 과정이기 때문에 제휴혁신에 영향을 미친다고 볼 수 있다. 결국 제휴혁신은 기업역량과 파트너 역량을 바탕으로 제휴활동에 고유한 지식을 창출하거나 기술을 개발하는 제휴학습이 중요한 것으로 나타났다.

A Fundamental Study for Creating 3D CG Animation of an Assembly Work

  • This paper presents a new mode of expressing a 3D assembly work for creating a 3D CG animation without judgment by human from minimal required information. In the field of manufacturing, there are favorable movements in the utilization of 3D CAD for 3D simulation to shorten lead time for product development and pre-production. But simulating an assembly work has troubles to need huge quantity of manually input data. This paper discusses what minimal necessary information for creating 3D CG animations of assembly works is, focusing on the features of assembly works. Furthermore, a new mode of expressing a 3D assembly work is proposed as "state/change transition diagrams" (SCTD), which express arbitrary scenes in an assembly work as "state" and describe a sequential assembly work with "state" and "change", and the outline of its stepwise generation algorithm is also described. SCTD can be converted to a 3D CG animation of an assembly work without judgment by human. This paper focuses on the creating 3D CG animation of assembly works which workers use only their both hands.
