  • On-the-fly(OTF) generation of Spectral Superhomogenization(SSPH) factors is analyzed in the multigroup(MG) whole core calculation employing pin-wise continuous energy(CE) slowing-down solutions. The motivation for the work is to avoid the huge computing time required for the generation of a parametrized SSPH factor library(PSSL) which is used to resolve the angular dependency of MG resonance cross sections, and also to exploit the advantage of flexible choice of a MG structure by using CE slowing-down solutions. Two pin-wise CE slowing-down methods, the equivalent Dancoff cell method and the shadowing effect correction method, are evaluated with the OTF SSPH method. The effectiveness of the OTF SSPH method is examined for various simplified and realistic core problems with various MG structures. It is demonstrated that the computing time overhead of this method is negligible whereas the solution accuracy is considerably enhanced.

  • The analyses of peak shapes in chromatography are useful in operating chromatographic system. The asymmetry and sharpness of a chromatographic peak are estimated by the reversed-phase adsorption of two standard peptides (angiotensin II bradykinin) on $C_{18}$ In this work, the average particle diameters of $C_{18}$ were 5 and 15 $\mu$m, while the pore sizes were 100 and 300 A. The composition of the mobile phase was $50/50\;vol.\;{\%}$ of a binary mixture of acetonitrile and water with $0.1\%$ TFA, and the particles were packed in a stainless column ($4.6{\times}150$ mm). The third and the fourth central movement were calculated from the chromatographic elution curves by moment analysis. The peak asymmetry was determined by two theoretical calculations: the asymmetry factor by elution peak analysis and skewness with moment analysis. The sharpness was estimated by the fourth central moment. In this work, the most acceptable skewness was calculated when the pore size was 300 A. The large excess was observed on small pore size.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean version of the Ethical Leadership at Work questionnaire (K-ELW) that measures RNs' perceived ethical leadership of their nurse managers. Methods: The strong validation process suggested by Benson (1998), including translation and cultural adaptation stage, structural stage, and external stage, was used. Participants were 241 RNs who reported their perceived ethical leadership using both the pre-version of K-ELW and a previously known Ethical Leadership Scale, and interactional justice of their managers, as well as their own demographics, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Data analyses included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, reliability coefficients, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. SPSS 19.0 and Amos 18.0 versions were used. Results: A modified K-ELW was developed from construct validity evidence and included 31 items in 7 domains: People orientation, task responsibility fairness, relationship fairness, power sharing, concern for sustainability, ethical guidance, and integrity. Convergent validity, discriminant validity, and concurrent validity were supported according to the correlation coefficients of the 7 domains with other measures. Conclusion: The results of this study provide preliminary evidence that the modified K-ELW can be adopted in Korean nursing organizations, and reliable and valid ethical leadership scores can be expected.

  • Dean's equilibrium beach profile formula was used to investigate the correlation between the static shoreline position and the incident wave energy. The effect of the longshore sediment transport was neglected, and the results showed the reasonable agreement compared with the field observations of Yates et al.(2009), which were conducted for almost 5 years on southern California beaches, USA. The shoreline response varies with the scale factor of Dean's equilibrium beach profile. This implies that the shoreline response could be simply estimated using the sampled grain size without laborious long-term field work. Therefore, the present study results are expected to be practically used for the layout design of submerged or exposed detached breakwaters although the further work is required for performance verification. In addition, after laborous mathematical reviews, the linear relation between incident energy and shoreline response, which was obtained from Yates's field study, yielded a clear mathematical equation showing how the beach slope is related to the grain size.

  • This study aims to explore the relationship between organizational justice and social loafing of organizations in Ho Chi Minh City through quantitative analysis from the survey data for the 228 employees are working at the Organizations in Ho Chi Minh City. The instrument of collecting data was a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 22 and employing exploratory factor analysis (EFA), Cronbach's alpha, multiple regression analysis. The results showed that only two factors are Distributive justice and Procedural justice is to have the reverse effect on social loafing of employee. From the results of the study showed, Distributive justice and Procedural justice has the opposite effect of social loafing, which demonstrates that when individuals feel that their work is spent on Perform tasks in a clearly divided and they will receive a worthwhile result in the group when performing the task then the individual's collective indifference to the organization will decrease. And motivate the employee to make more efforts to work and contribute for the organization. In addition, the factor of Procedural justice also has the opposite effect of collective redundancy, which demonstrates that employees are more concerned about fairness in official policies and organizational procedures.
