  • We investigate what happens when we try to work with continuing block codes (i.e., left or right continuing factor maps) between shift spaces that may not be shifts of finite type. For example, we demonstrate that continuing block codes on strictly sofic shifts do not behave as well as those on shifts of finite type; a continuing block code on a sofic shift need not have a uniformly bounded retract, unlike one on a shift of finite type. A right eresolving code on a sofic shift can display any behavior arbitrary block codes can have. We also show that a right continuing factor of a shift of finite type is always a shift of finite type.

  • The mode I and II stress intensity factors have been calculated theoretically for the cracked plate reinforced with a plate by symmetric spot welding under remote mixed mode loading. This is the extension of authors' previous work for the reinforced cracked plate under remote normal stress. Regardless of loading types, the reinforcement effect gets better as one joining spot is closer to the crack tip and the others are closer to the crack surface, and optimum number of the joining spots can be existed. For the present model, the remote loading parallel to crack surface produces the mode I stress intensity factor.

  • Plate heat exchange(PHE) will be applied to the refrigeration and air conditioning systems as evaporators or condensers for their high efficiency and compactness. The purpose of this study is the analyze the characteristics of heat transfer and pressure drop of plate heat exchanger. Numerical work was conducted using the FLUENT code k-$\varepsilon$model. Also the dependence of heat transfer coefficient and friction factor on Reynolds number was investigated. As the Reynolds number increases, it is found that heat transfer coefficient also increases, but friction factor decreases. The study examines the internal flow, thermal distribution and the pressure distribution in the channel of plate heat exchanger. The results of CFD analysis compared with experimental data, and the difference of friction factor and Nusselt number in plate heat exchanger are 10% and 20%, respectively, Therefore the CFD analysis model is effective for the performance prediction of plate heat exchanger.

  • The purpose of this study was to Estimation the Risk of construction method to protect and reduce the risk of construction period. For this study we are using the pre and during construction period Inspection list. The inspection list was used by construction company for check a flaw of construction field. So we rearrange the individual item of inspection list to match the Risk factor, The results of this study were as follows: The inspection list was rearranged at Risk checklist for Risk estimation. So that we estimate the Risk of individual construction method.

  • The conventional SLT(Shear Lag Theory) which has been proven that it can not provide sufficiently accurate strengthening predictions in elastic regime when the fiber aspect ratio is small. This paper is an extented work to improve it by modifying the load transfer mechanism called NSLT(New Shear Lag Theory), which takes into account the stress transfer across the fiber ends and the SCF(Stress Concentration Factor) that exists in the matrix regions near the fiber ends. The key point of the model development is to determine the major controlling factor among the material and geometrical coefficients. It is found that the most affecting factor is the fiber/matrix elastic modulus ratio. It is also found that the proposed model gives a good result that has the capability to correctly predict the elastic properties such as interfacial shear stresses and local stress variations in the small fiber aspect ratio regime.

  • The purpose of this study is to help for an in-depth understanding of their thinking process by observing and analyzing the response found by two elementary school students, Through this study, the following findings could be obtained. First, two students have a tendency trying to solve the complex situation at first. Second, we could know that it is an important factor in discovering the pattern to predict it. Third, we could know that the activity of reconstructing the data meaningfully is an important factor in discovering the pattern. Fourth, it is an important factor in finding the pattern to work organically the activity of predicting it with the activity of reconstructing the data meaningfully. We hope that this study offers the help for an in-depth understanding of students's thinking process.

  • This work is related to study the thermal decomposition of 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazacylohexane(RDX) by differential scanning calorimeter and thermo-gravimetry with Kissinger's & Iso-conversional method under nonisothermal conditions, with heating rate from 2 to $8^{\circ}C$/min or given heating rate. We calculated and compared activation energy with these two methods. Iso-conversional method is better than Kissinger's method to study decomposition mechanism. We also investigated activation energy and frequency factor by Kissinger's & Iso-conversional method with the influence of particle size. In case of single crystal, Cl-3(large crystal) has better thermal stability than Cl-5(small crystal). The activation energy increased according to the size of the particle size.

  • Lateral-torsional buckling moment resistances of I-shaped stepped beams with continuous lateral top-flange bracing under a single point load on the top flange and negative end moments were investigated. Stepped beam factors and a moment gradient correction factor suggested by Park et al. (2003, 2004) were used to develop new lateral buckling formula for beam designs. From the investigation of finite element analysis (FEA), new lateral buckling formula of beams with singly or doubly stepped member changes and with continuous lateral top-flange bracing subjected to a single point load on top flange and end moments were developed. The new design equation includes the length-to-height ratio factor to account for the increase of lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance as the increase of length-to-height ratio of stepped beams. The calculation examples for obtaining lateral-torsional buckling moment resistance using the new design equation indicate that engineers should easily determine the buckling capacity of the stepped beams.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of pressure drop in plate and shell heat exchanger. An experiment for single phase (low pressure drop in plate and shell heat exchanger was performed. Also numerical work was conducted using the FLUENT code for $ {\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model. The dependence of friction factor on geometrical Parameters was numerically investigated. • This paper discuss the method of the system's efficient control using a Intelligent hybrid algorithm in nonlinear dynamics systems. Existing neural network and genetic algorithm for the control of non-linear systems work well in static states. but it be not particularly good in changeable states and must re-learn for the control of the system in the changed state. This time spend a lot of time. For the solution of this problem we suggest the intelligent hybrid self-tuning controller. it includes neural network, genetic algorithm and immune system. it is based on neural network, and immune system and genetic algorithm are added against a changed factor. We will call a change factor an antigen. When an antigen broke out, immune system come into action and genetic algorithm search an antibody. So the system is controled more stably and rapidly. Moreover, The Genetic algorithm use the memory address of the immune bank as a genetic factor. So it brings an advantage which the realization of a hardware easy.
