Implementation and Evaluation of Harmful-Media Filtering Techniques using Multimodal-Information Extraction

  • Video platforms, including YouTube, have a structure in which the number of video views is directly related to the publisher's profits. Therefore, video publishers induce viewers by using provocative titles and thumbnails to garner more views. The conventional technique used to limit such harmful videos has low detection accuracy and relies on follow-up measures based on user reports. To address these problems, this study proposes a technique to improve the accuracy of filtering harmful media using thumbnails, titles, and audio data from videos. This study analyzed these three pieces of multimodal information; if the number of harmful determinations was greater than the set threshold, the video was deemed to be harmful, and its upload was restricted. The experimental results showed that the proposed multimodal information extraction technique used for harmfulvideo filtering achieved a 9% better performance than YouTube's Restricted Mode with regard to detection accuracy and a 41% better performance than the YouTube automation system.

  • 경제 발전과 더불어 사람들의 자기 외모에 대한 관심이 많이 증가하고 있다. 그중에 특히 여성들의 패션에 대한 관심은 매우 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 여성들의 외모에 대한 관심이 증가함으로써 여성들의 패션 마케팅에 대한 요구가 점차 증가하고 있으며, 그만큼 여성 패션 시장이 확대되어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 여성의 패션 시장을 중심으로 여성 패션에 대한 마케팅 활성화 전략에 대해 살펴보고 전략을 제시해고보가 한다. 본 연구의 여성 패션 활성화 전략을 통해서 여성패션 마케팅 시장에서 경쟁력있는 기대 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 여성정보인의 여러 인구통계학적 속성과 더불어 여성정보인이 정보화에 대한 기술적 애로사항이 무엇이며, 이에 대한 해결책으로 IT 교육에 대한 수요 및 필요로 하는 IT 교육에 대해 살펴보고, 향후 업무와 관련된 활동에 있어 여성 정보인에게 선행되어야 할 소양이 무엇인가를 설문조사를 통해 분석하였다. 특히, 데이터마이닝 기법의 연관성분석을 사용하여 여성정보인 협회에서 제공하여야 하는 교육프로그램과 기 취업자 관점에서 후배 여성정보인이 취업 시 갖추어야 할 분야에 대한 다양한 분석을 시도하였다. 자료분석은 SAS의 데이터마이닝 툴을 사용하였다.

편안한 신발 제작을 위한 발 유형화 (Foot Classification for Manufacturing of Comfortable Shoes)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide foot classification on 30 generation young men and women by factor analysis and cluster analysis. The sample for this work was chosen from data which were collected and measured by Size Korea during two years($2003{\sim}2004$). In order to analyze and compare features of the foot of men and women, analysis was performed about 871 subjects(male: 422, female: 449) on 24 body parts including height, width, thickness, circumference, length and angle. According to the result of factor analysis about measured data, there were seven factors and six factors for men and women respectively. After cluster analysis, data for men and women were commonly divided by three types for utilization of research results. Type 1 and type 3 had wide distribution about men. Type 2 had wide distribution about women. The results of this study can be applied in manufacturing and design of comfortable shoes and socks.

공대 교수, 대학생, 기업가의 성인지력 비교 분석 (A Comparison Analysis of Gender Sensitivity Among Faculty, Students, and Enterprisers in Engineering)

  • 이 연구에서는 공대 교수, 학생, 기업의 성인지에 대한 사고를 조사하였다. 한국교통대학교 공대 교수 59명, 남학생 226명, 여학생 109명, 그리고 충북에 소재한 기업의 인사담당자 28명을 대상으로 하였다. 교수 대상 설문지는 26문항, 학생용은 30문항, 기업용은 5문항으로 구성하였다. 분석은 ${\chi}^2$ 교차분석방법을 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 교수는 일반적으로 성차이에 대한 인식을 가지고 있었다. 교수들은 여학생이 리더십이 부족하고 성공에 대한 자신감이 낮다고 생각하였다. 또한 여학생의 취업에 불이익이 있다고 인식하였다. 그러나 그들은 이러한 생각을 교육이나 취업 안내에 반영하지 않았다. 여학생들 역시 취업에 대한 자신감이 낮았으며, 공학교육에서 성인지적 교수법이 적용되지 않는다고 생각하였다. 여학생들은 남학생보다 공학전공에 대해 부정적이었으며, 교수의 인식과 유사하였다. 한편 남학생은 동료 여학생의 성인지에 대해 무심하였다. 기업의 취업담당자들의 인식은 교수나 학생의 인식과 달랐다. 이러한 연구 결과로부터 교수와 학생의 취업에 대한 인식이 변화되어야 함을 알 수 있다. 여학생들을 위한 더 나은 공학전공교육을 위하여 앞으로 연구가 필요하다.

경락마사지가 하체관리에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Meridian Massage on Women's Lower Body Fatness)

  • This study was designed to investigate what an effect Meridian massage widely practiced in the skin and fatness clinics gives to the control of women's lower body fatness. 8 woman students in the J beauty school in Seoul were selected as experimental group. After measuring their femoral or thigh circumference, 4 weeks of Meridian massage was practiced. Another 8 women who were not included in the experiment were selected as the control group. As the results of 4 week Meridian control on lower body fatness, P value of the variance analysis was over 0.05, meaning that there was not a statistical significance. But the measurement of femoral or thigh circumference decreased from 55.85 cm to 53.34 cm, indicating that more often Meridian massage was practiced, the more lower body fatness decreased. This suggests that Meridian massage gives a positive effect to lower body fatness control. In a survey after the experiment, more than 88% of the survey participants answered that Meridian massage was effective to removal of edema, decrease in thigh circumference, and deep sleep, indicating that satisfaction with Meridian massage was high. Based on the findings of this study, it is necessary to study further on quantifying the effect of Meridian massage, which is practiced just to control lower body fatness.

Association of single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the ESR2 and FSHR genes with poor ovarian response in infertile Jordanian women

  • Objective: Poor ovarian response (POR) refers to a subnormal follicular response that leads to a decrease in the quality and quantity of the eggs retrieved after ovarian stimulation during assisted reproductive treatment (ART). The present study investigated the associations of multiple variants of the estrogen receptor 2 (ESR2) and follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) genes with POR in infertile Jordanian women undergoing ART. Methods: Four polymorphisms, namely ESR2 rs1256049, ESR2 rs4986938, FSHR rs6165, and FSHR rs6166, were investigated in 60 infertile Jordanian women undergoing ART (the case group) and 60 age-matched fertile women (the control group), with a mean age of 33.60±6.34 years. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were detected by restriction fragment length polymorphism and then validated using Sanger sequencing. Results: The p-value of the difference between the case and control groups regarding FSHR rs6166 was very close to 0.05 (p=0.054). However, no significant differences were observed between the two groups in terms of the other three SNPs, namely ESR2 rs1256049, ESR2 rs4986938, and FSHR rs6165 (p=0.561, p=0.433, and p=0.696, respectively). Conclusion: The association between FSHR rs6166 and POR was not statistically meaningful in the present study, but the near-significant result of this experiment suggests that statistical significance might be found in a future study with a larger number of patients.

A Survey for 3D Object Detection Algorithms from Images

  • Image-based 3D object detection is one of the important and difficult problems in autonomous driving and robotics, and aims to find and represent the location, dimension and orientation of the object of interest. It generates three dimensional (3D) bounding boxes with only 2D images obtained from cameras, so there is no need for devices that provide accurate depth information such as LiDAR or Radar. Image-based methods can be divided into three main categories: monocular, stereo, and multi-view 3D object detection. In this paper, we investigate the recent state-of-the-art models of the above three categories. In the multi-view 3D object detection, which appeared together with the release of the new benchmark datasets, NuScenes and Waymo, we discuss the differences from the existing monocular and stereo methods. Also, we analyze their performance and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of them. Finally, we conclude the remaining challenges and a future direction in this field.

전맹인의 접근성 향상을 위한 모바일 음성 메모 파일 관리 서비스 (Mobile Voice Note File Management Service For Improving Accessibility of the Blind)

  • Recently, people with disabilities also search for and collect information from the web through smart devices, and save collected information on smart devices or take notes. For non-disabled people, various memo applications are provided on the market, so it is more convenient to choose according to their preference. However, existing memo services are limited for use by blind people due to the importance of visual information. The problem with blind people when using smart devices is that the screen is not recognized, so it is not possible to check in which location the menu of the application exists. In addition, it is difficult to input and manipulate text, and systematic file management and control are not possible. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the development of voice memo service that blind people can use only voice and hearing information and can operate menu with Bluetooth remote controller. We will develop a system that includes a comprehensive voice file management function for storing, searching, playing, and deleting files, rather than simply storing voice files.
