This study was performed to investigate the effects of different fat diets on the serum lipid composition and on the morphology of liver tissue of the spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR), Rats were fed for 17 weeks one of four fat diets, control(corn oil : beef tallow=1:1), beef tallow, grapeseed oil and soybean oil. Blood was withdrawn by heart puncture from each SHR, and used to determine the serum levels of total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, trigly ceride and phospholipid. No significant difference in body weight was observed in all diet groups. the total serum cholesterol was significantly lower in SHR fed grapeseed oil than that of other groups. The cholesterol lowering effect of grapeseed oil seemed to results from its high contents of phytosterol and linoleic acid. Also, serum HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid contents were low in all the groups. photochemical microscopic observations of the liver tissue revealed the congestion of sinosoid which is regarded as the characteristics of SHR, but no significant difference was observed among the groups.

Videophone service was developed and marketed by AT&T in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The market did not respond to the service offering, and the service was withdrawn. However, Videophone returned in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Due to the technological advance, establishment of ITU standards and fall of videophone price, many analysts are very optimistic about videophone market. But on the other hand, some analysts anticipate that recent videophone will only replicate the past with the same results: namely, market failure. First, this article reviews the history of videophone service, the recent development trend and reasons for its market failure. Second, this article reviews prospects for videophone service. Finally authors examine some of the technological and service features that might shift the value of videophone service.

This paper deals with the design review of a power converter topologies for CEDMCS (Control Element Drive Mechanism Control System). The CEDMCS provides the control signals and motive power to operate the CEDMS. The CEDM's raise and lower the CEAs (Control Element Assemblies) in the reactor core. The CEAs are constructed with the Boron-10 isotope which has a high microscopic cross section of absorption for thermal neutrons. This characteristic causes the addition of negative reactivity when a CEA is inserted and positive reactivity when it is withdrawn from the reactor core.

The circuit breakers had been withdrawn from 345 kV SIC substation. because these were made following the old IEC requirement(IEC 56; TRV rating) and insufficient current rating(2,000 A) for the system requirement(4,000 A). And, they are going to be reused at 345 kV UR substation and SJS switching section. This paper deals with the TRV(temporary recovery voltage) analysis results in order to reuse them. The analysis results are satisfied with the IEC requirements of RRRV(Rate of Rise of Recovery Voltage) and peak voltage($U_c$) from 2000 to 2010.

Where an activated sludge system needs to be converted to biological nutrient removal(BNR) system, the secondary clarifier must handle higher MLSS from bioreactor since nitrification in BNR system that requires higher SRTs than activated sludge system. Either increase the clarifier size or modification of clarifier physical structure is required to cope with MLSS surge. One of recommended structural modification is the insertion of Lamellar within clarifier. In this study, two clarifiers - one has Lamellar structure inserted and the other does not - were used to compare the effect of Lamellar in solid/liquid separation. Same MLSS was fed to both clarifiers and concentrations of MLSS were varied. With all MLSS concentrations, attachment of MLSS on Lamellar was observed and it was found that detached MLSS caused the higher effluent SS concentrations than that of non-Lamellar clarifier effluent. From these results, Lamellar should not be inserted in clarifier to handle MLSS from BNR processes and the recommendation must be withdrawn.

The control rod drive mechanism needs to be debugged after reactor fresh fuel loading. It is of great importance to monitor the subcriticality of this process accurately. A modified method was applied to the subcriticality monitoring process, in which only a single control rod cluster was fully withdrawn from the core. In order to correct the error in the results obtained by Neutron Source Multiplication Method, which is based on one point reactor model, Monte Carlo neutron transport code was employed to calculate the fission neutron distribution, the iterated fission probability and the neutron flux in the neutron detector. This article analyzed the effect of a coarse mesh and a fine mesh to tally fission neutron distributions, the iterated fission probability distributions and to calculate correction factors. The subcriticality before and after modification is compared with the subcriticality calculated by MCNP code. The modified results turn out to be closer to calculation. It's feasible to implement the modified NSM method in large local reactivity addition process using Monte Carlo code based on 3D model.

This study was designed to test the differences in children's social information-processing patterns and bahavioral characteristics among four different groups of peer status, and to evaluate the predictability of peer status from social information-processing and social behavior. In addition, age and sex differences were assessed. The subjects were 80 boys and 80 girls identified as popular, average, neglected, and rejected by their peers in the first and the third grade. They responded to a sociometric test and three hypothetical social dilemmas, while behavioral characteristics were rated by their teachers. The data were analyzed by ANOVAs, and discriminant analyses. The results showed that children's social information-processing patterns were not significantly different by peer status except the number of interventions requested. Whereas children's behavioral characteristics were different by peer status in all of the four domains. Children's social information-processing patterns and behavioral characteristics were different in part by age and sex. The important predictors of peer status were hyperactive-distractive, anxious-withdrawn, sociable-prosocial behaviors, and the number of interventions requested.

Upon feeding dried Ginseng to rats of either low-protein or high protein diet ethanol was administered intraperitoneally and disappearance rate blood alcohol was enzymatically measure. In terms of residual blood alcohol after a time lapse of 3.5 hours between intraperitonial administration and blood withdrawal neither ginseng nor ginseng plus 40% casein did improve the rate, of alcohol clearance but sexual difference was clearly demonstrated in favor of female rats. In the case of blood withdrawn only 2 hours after intraperitoneal injection of alcohol, the tendency of female superiority in alcohol clearance rate is demonstrated when a comparison is made among the groups fed with ginseng and this was particularly true is groups of rats fed with basal diet plus 1 percent ginseng residual blood ethanol being 15.4 mg/ml vs. 8.8 mg/ml. Liver homogenate alcohol dehydrogenase activity measured in terms of residual ethanol content after in vitro reaction on which a known amount of alcohol was added clearly demonstrated a male superiority in alcohol clearance.

The purpose of this study wasto understand Theraplay interaction and to find out how Theraplay works to bring about change in withdrawn children. In exploring the meaning of Theraplay interaction, I used a phenomenology, which looked reflectively into a child's experience. Examining the situation, I found that the child had changed by "touch" with a therapist, which had been done throughout thewhole process of therapy. The child had changed from "child with horny body" to "playful child." Furthermore, I realized the four meanings (of what?) through research: "encounter", "reconstruction", "responsibility", and "immersion." Those four meaningscould have made the subject of interaction go beyond and look for its own existence. In addition, those four meanings melt together in the phenomena of interaction. There were always those four meanings throughout Theraplay interaction. This study has presented different consequences, compared to Theraplay research that is based on effectiveness, and examined the process of change that includes position tendency.

To explore the seafloor, an observation instrument should be laid there for a long time and it should be again withdrawn. This system must be designed low power consumption model because it operates for a long period, but because power control don't execute or simply control algorithm executes, power efficiency is low. Hereupon, a power control algorithm for retrieval system using the ultrasonic communication that was improved its controllability and movability was presented in this paper. Likewise, the logicality of control algorithm and remote control system were ascertained by experiments.
