여성복 브랜드의 연령집단별 상의치수체계 비교분석 및 성인 여성의 연령집단별 치수체계 설정 (Analysis of Women's Jacket Sizing Systems of RTW Brands and Development of Sizing Systems by Age Groups)

  • This study investigates whether women's wear brands' sizing systems reflect the body size and shape of their target age customers. This study classified 17 women's wear brands into three target age groups (20-30s, 30-40s, and 40-50s) and surveyed their body sizing systems for jacket items. The distribution of bust circumference and hip circumference of brands' sizing systems were compared with the size distribution of women in the 7th SizeKorea data. The brands targeting 20-30s fully produced five sizes which are the highest coverage rate, but the brands targeting 30-40s produced three sizes, and the brands targeting 40-50s produced one size. Regarding the body types, 60.0% of 20-30s target brands and 42.9% of 30-40s target brands reflected N type which is the average body type of each age group. However, the rest of the brands, including all 40-50s target brands, reflected A type which covered small portions of women. For each age group, 6 sizes with 24.0-29.0% coverage rates were proposed. With regard to the 88-94 size, three age groups overlapped: the 82-91 size was overlapped between the 20-30s and the 30-40s groups along with the 85-91 and 88-91 sizes that overlapped between the 30-40s and 40-50s groups.

Studies on Biomass for Young Abies koreana Wilson

  • This study was undertaken to compare the biomass of Abies koreana growing at two sites. A $10{\times}10m$ plot was established in each site of a natural stand in Mt. Jiri and a plantation in Gyeongsan nursery. Five trees of A. koreana were randomly selected in each site. The following traits were investigated from each tree : height, basal diameter, age, weight of stem, branches, and needles as above-ground traits and weight of total roots, horizontal roots, and vertical roots as below-ground traits. In Gyeongsan nursery, age of sample trees was negatively correlated with both height and weight of total stem, while height was highly correlated with weight of horizontal roots. There was high correlation between the basal diameter and weight of total stem, and between the basal diameter and weight of roots. In Mt. Jiri stand, most of the above-ground traits except age were significantly correlated with the below-ground traits. The linear regression equation between the cross section area of base (X) and the weight of total stem (Y) in Gyeongsan nursery was Y=12.66X-12.92, and correlation was significant ($R^2=0.89$). The linear regression equation between the cross section area of base(X) and the weight of total branches (Y) in Mt. Jiri stand was Y=25.51X+6.00, and correlation was highly significant ($R^2=1.0$).

남성정장 상의 설계를 위한 연령별 체형별 치수체계(II) (Classification of Sizing System for Men's Jacket According to Figure Type and Age Group)

  • This paper proposed a sizig system for men's jackets in order to improve the clothing fitness and rain the productivity. The sizing system was classified according to 3 age groups. Figure types were categorized by shoulder angle and body shape. The size interval of the basic dimensions was established at regular intervals centering around their means. Altogether, 15 size charts were developed based on the frequency distribution. Size designating measurements for jackets were height, chest girth and waist girth. Size intervals were 3cm for chest and waist girth, 5m for height, and 2cm for waist and hip girth. Considering the cover factor, charts with a limited number of sizes were suggested with necessary measurements for each figure type of each age group.

Accuracy of an equation for estimating age from mandibular third molar development in a Thai population

  • Purpose: This study assessed the accuracy of age estimates produced by a regression equation derived from lower third molar development in a Thai population. Materials and Methods: The first part of this study relied on measurements taken from panoramic radiographs of 614 Thai patients aged from 9 to 20. The stage of lower left and right third molar development was observed in each radiograph and a modified Gat score was assigned. Linear regression on this data produced the following equation: Y=9.309+1.673 mG+0.303S (Y=age; mG=modified Gat score; S=sex). In the second part of this study, the predictive accuracy of this equation was evaluated using data from a second set of panoramic radiographs (539 Thai subjects, 9 to 24 years old). Each subject's age was estimated using the above equation and compared against age calculated from a provided date of birth. Estimated and known age data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient and descriptive statistics. Results: Ages estimated from lower left and lower right third molar development stage were significantly correlated with the known ages (r=0.818, 0.808, respectively, $P{\leq}0.01$). 50% of age estimates in the second part of the study fell within a range of error of ${\pm}1year$, while 75% fell within a range of error of ${\pm}2years$. The study found that the equation tends to estimate age accurately when individuals are 9 to 20 years of age. Conclusion: The equation can be used for age estimation for Thai populations when the individuals are 9 to 20 years of age.

베이지안 통계학을 이용한 청동기시대 주거지내 화덕자리들의 광자극발광(OSL) 연대 결정 (OSL Age Determination of the Hearths in a Bronze Age Dwelling Site by using Bayesian Statistics)

  • 이 연구에서는 소골 유적 29호 및 29-1호 주거지 내부에 사용 시기를 달리하여 존재하는 3개의 화덕자리에 대한 광자극발광(OSL) 연대측정을 수행하였다. 연대측정에 앞서 석영 시료의 자연 OSL 신호 관찰 및 절대영년도 평가를 수행한 결과, OSL 신호는 광이온화 단면적이 커 열과 빛에 매우 민감한 fast 성분만으로 이루어졌으며 청동기인들의 일반적인 난방 및 취사 온도인 $300^{\circ}C$ 이하에서도 완벽히 절대영년 됨을 알 수 있었다. 각 시료의 고고선량은 단일시료재현법을 적용한 재현성 평가와 플래토우 평가로부터 산출되었고, 이를 연간선량율로 나누어 OSL 연대를 결정하였다. 이후 산출된 OSL 연대의 정밀도를 높이기 위하여 발굴조사를 통해 파악된 화덕자리의 사용 시기와 각 화덕자리의 OSL 연대를 베이지안 통계에 적용한 결과, 개별 화덕자리의 사용 및 폐기 시점에 대한 높은 정밀도를 갖는 OSL 연대가 최종적으로 확정되었다.

Thermal cracking analysis of concrete with cement hydration model and equivalent age method

  • In this research, a developed microstructural model of cement particles was presented to describe the cement hydration procedure. To simplify the hydration process, the whole hydration was analyzed in a series of sub-steps. In each step, the hydration degree, as well as the microstructural size of the hydration cell, was calculated as a function of the radius of the unreacted cement particles. With the consideration of the water consumption and the reduction of the interfacial area between water and hydration products, the micro-level expressions of the cement hydration kinetics were established. Then the heat released and temperature history of the concrete was carried out with the hydration degree obtained from each sub-steps. The equivalent age method based on the Arrhenius law was introduced in this research. Based on the equivalent age method, a maturity model was applied to describe the evolution of the mechanical properties of the material during the hydration process. The finite element program ANSYS was used to analyze the temperature field in concrete structures. Then thermal stress field was calculated using the elasticity modulus obtained from code formulate. And the risk of thermal cracking was estimated by the comparison of thermal stress and concrete tensile strength.

한국인의 연영증가에 따른 치아교모도에 관한 연구 (STUDY ON THE DEGREE OF TEETH ATTRITION WITH AGE INCREASE OF THE KOREAN)

  • The author collected 93 male stone model and 93 female stone model of upper and lower jaw of the koreans as samples and studied the degree of attrition with age increase. Determining the degree of attrition, each normal cusp were given 40 points and calibrated into percentage. The percentage score were examined and analized, and came to the following conclusions. 1) Increased age were found graudually higher the degree of attrition at 10 to 20 age,. The degree of attrition presented localized disappearance of marginal-ridges and marginal grooves. At 30 up to 40 age, about 40 to 50% of the degree of attrition were found gradually on cusp ridges and grooves At 50 to 60 age, it was found about 70 to 80% of attrition. 2) Male score was slightly higher than female. 3) There was no significant difference between male and female score.

Age-and Sex-Related Differences in Serum Levels of Lipid Peroxide, Retinol an d$\alpha$-Tocopherol in Korean Adults

  • The present study was aimed to investigated whether there are age-and sex-related differences in serum levels of lipid peroxides, retinol , and $\alpha$-tocopherol in Korean adults. The subjects were 441 persons , including 268 men and 173 women. Those of each sex were divided into four age group : 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-65 years, and their lifestyles and serum levels were compared . Men smoked and drank less as age increased , but 99.9% of women of did not smoke and only 11% drank more than once a month. Lipid peroxides of males increased gradually with age, while those of females showed greater levels in the 50-65 years group thon younger groups. Lipid peroxides, retinol and $\alpha$-tocopherol concentrations, which were adjusted for age, were significantly higher in males than in females. Lipid peroxide levels adjusted for total lipid were positively correlated with age in males than in females. Serum levels of $\alpha$-tocopherol adjusted for total lipid were positively correlated with age both in males and in females , while retinol was neither. The results indicate that serum levels of lipid peroxides, retinol , and $\alpha$-tocopherol are affected by age and that the response could be different between males and females.

도덕적 위반 행동의 결과에 대한 아동의 정서 이해 (Children's Understanding of the Effect of Emotion on Moral Transgressions)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine developmental trends in children's understanding of the effect of emotion on moral transgressions. The subjects were 120 children, 15 boys and 15 girls each at 4, 6, 8, and 10 years of age. The subjects listened to the moral transgression stories which were revised by this investigator based on Arsenio and Kramer's(1992) study. They reported their emotional attribution, justification, and emotional intensity about the story children engaged in moral transgression. The data of the present study were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$ and 2-way ANOVA for repeated measures. The results showed that (1) most of the children expected victimizers to feel happy. While happy responses decreased with age, fear responses increased with age. Most of the four-year-olds expected victims to feel sad, but 6-, 8-, and 10-year-olds expected anger. (2) Most children justified victimizers' emotions in terms of the outcome produced by victimization. This outcome-focused justification decreased with age, but morality-focused justification increased with age. In contrast, most children justified victims' emotion in terms of the victimization. This victimization-focused justification decreased with age, but morality-focused justification increased with age. (3) Most children viewed physical harm more negatively than theft on the part of victims.

한국 여성복 브랜드의 치수 체계 실태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Actual Condition of Sizing System of Women′s RTW Apparel Brands in Korea)

  • The manufacturer first identifies a target market before developing a sizing chart. A target market is specific for age or figure type. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the suitability of sizing system of women's apparel brand in Korea. For this purpose, the characteristics of the manufacture's sizing chart for jacket and skirt/pants were analyzed. For each brand, the target age of the brand and the age of consumers who preferred that bland were compared. The size charts collected from 27 women's apparel brands were analyzed and compared with Korean industrial standard sifting chart. The results of this study reviled that the body proportion in many manufacturer's sizing chart does not correspond to the body types in Korean industrial standard sizing chart. This trend was apparent for the short figure sizes made for women 155cm in height. There is a difference between the target age in brand concept and the age of consumer preferring to purchase that brand apparel. The age of fitting models usually does not correspond the customer's age. It was concluded that the age of target customer does not go well with the age of brand concept nor the fitting model age caused fit problem of the women's ready-made clothes.
