As the Internet and mobile services increase, the use of wired/wireless web contents services increase and the demand for various contents explosively grows. To survive in competitive market, and to minimize the errors and warnings for web accessibility and standardization, and then to maximize the web usability, the periodical evaluation for web site should be performed with the events of web marketing and campaign. Through the web evaluation, the errors for technical programming language and contents offering can be found and diagnosed. In this paper, the quantitative and qualitative evaluation method for web site providing web contents are presented, and the analytic results for the 138 home pages in domestic are evaluated to validate the quantitative methodology. The accessibility, standardization, and usability factor are adopted for the evaluation in which accessibility is evaluated for perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust discipline with K-WAH(Korea-Web Accessibility Helper) tool, the standardization are measured for the number of errors and warnings in technical language with the W3C validator, and finally the usability factor is analyzed for the number of visits, average visit duration, and bounce rate with Google Analytics. In addition to, the quantitative analysis is also performed with the consideration of cost for construction and operation of web site. From the results, in the case of total score of 100 in conversion with relative weight, the average and standard deviation are evaluated to be 55 and 14, respectively. The correlation analysis indicates that the coefficient is estimated as 0.058, and then correlation between the quantitative results and cost is evaluated to be a little positive.

It is important to manage the underground facilities efficiently because they are directly related to the convenience and safety of citizens. But the fact that the different agencies take on a role of managing the underground facilities respectively makes it impossible. So Korean government has exerted great efforts to solve this problem through several projects. Korean government expects that the ubiquitous technologies such as sensor and wireless communication in the domain of the underground facilities management will be useful. It is main duty of u-City Management Center to monitor several situations about the underground facilities using ubiquitous technologies. But there is no consensus about what concrete situations it has to monitor even though u-cities under construction. Because local governments or related companies are in charge of carrying out these roles yet, there is no legal basis on which to do these tasks by the center. And it is needed to develop new technologies for u-services efficiently. Because technologies for u-service are vast, various and converged, so it necessary to develop them according to priority or in cooperation with other developers. In this paper, we classify the monitoring items for each facility which were investigated by a recent research. It is expected to make use of defining the role of the center and developing technologies with u-service.

LBS (Location-Based Service) systems have become a serious subject for research and development since recent rapid advances in wireless communication technologies and position measurement technologies such as global positioning system. The architecture named the GALIS (Gracefully Aging Location Information System) has been suggested which is a cluster-based distributed computing system architecture to overcome performance losses and to efficiently handle a large volume of data, at least millions. The GALIS consists of SLDS and LLDS. The SLDS manages current location information of moving objects and the LLDS manages past location information of moving objects. In this thesis, we implement a monitoring technique for the GALIS prototype, to allow dynamic load balancing among multiple computing nodes by keeping track of the load of each node in real-time during the location data management and spatio-temporal query processing. We also propose a buffering technique which efficiently manages the query results having overlapped query regions to improve query processing performance of the GALIS. The proposed scheme reduces query processing time by eliminating unnecessary query execution on the overlapped regions with the previous queries.

In Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A), small cell enhancement(SCE) has been developed as a cost-effective way of supporting exponentially increasing demand of wireless data services and satisfying the user quality of service(QoS). However, due to the dense and irregular distribution of a large number of small cells, the offloading scheme should be applied in the small cell network. In this paper, we propose an user offloading scheme for SCE in LTE-Advanced system. We divide the small cells into different clusters according to the reference signal received power(RSRP) from user equipment(UE). Within a cluster, We apply the user offloading scheme with the consideration of the number of users and interference conditions. Simulation results show that proposed scheme can improve the throughput, and spectral efficiency of small cell users. Eventually, proposed scheme can improve overall cell performance.

In Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A), small cell enhancement(SCE) has been developed as a cost-effective way of supporting exponentially increasing demand of wireless data services and satisfying the user quality of service(QoS). However, there are many problems such as the transmission rate and transmission quality degradation due to the dense and irregular distribution of a large number of small cells. In this paper, we propose a clustering based interference management scheme in dense small cell network. We divide the small cells into different clusters according to the reference signal received power(RSRP) from user equipment(UE). Within a cluster, an almost blank subframe(ABS) is implemented to mitigate interference between the small cells. In addition, we apply the power control to reduce the interference between the clusters. Simulation results show that proposed scheme can improve Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio(SINR), throughput, and spectral efficiency of small cell users. Eventually, proposed scheme can improve overall cell performance.
Performance of TCP can be severely degraded in WLP-based Mobile IP wireless networks where packet loss not related to network congestion occurs frequently during WLP-based inter-subnetwork handoff by user mobility. To resolve such a problem in the networks using WLP-based Mobile IP, the packet buffering method recovering seamlessly the packets dropped due to user mobility has been proposed. The packet buffering method at a bridge station recovers those packets dropped during handoff by forwarding buffered packets at the old bridge station to the WLP device. But, when the WLP device moves to a congested bridge station in a new WLP foreign subnetwork, those buffered packets forwarded by the old bridge station are dropped and TCP transmission performance of a WLP device in the congested bridge station degrades due to increased congestion by those forwarded burst packets. In this paper, a PBM(Packet Bridge Marker) is proposed for preventing buffered out-of-profile(OUT) packets from reducing the throughput of in-profile(IN) packets of an Assured Service WLP device. From this operation, the packet losses of buffered OUT packets are avoided and the throughput of IN and Total packets of an AS WLP device are increased.
In addition to wired communication technology, wireless communication technology has had communication revolution nowadays. Bluethooth technology carries out data/voice communication within pico-net. Nowadays the various services are supported by access network connected to public network. This paper presents implementation of bluetooth protocol analyser which simulates bluetooth protocol. MS window98 and visual C are used for development environment and application program is operated over the firmware loaded on the bluetooth device connected to the PC through UART which of the maximum transmission rate is 115kbps because transmission rate less than 20kbps affects rarely the performance. The performance analysis on the propose system is carried out as simulating the signalling information for the voice test and the traffics between two bluetooth systems for file transfer. The throughput analysis for file transfer service and call processing capacity for voice service are considered as performance analysis parameters. File access time is very important parameter and throughput is 13 kbps in case breakpoint time to file access is 0.04sec. Also call processing time is about 16.6ms in case of communication with the headset. The performance analysis of simulation results satisfies with bluetooth device development.

Ubiquitous home is emerging as the future digital home environments that provide various ubiquitous home services like u-Life, u-Health, etc. It is composed of some home appliances and sensors which are connected through wired/wireless network. Ubiquitous home services become aware of user's context with the information gathered from sensors and make home appliances adapt to the current home situation for maximizing user convenience. In these context-aware home environments, it is the one of significant research topics to predict user behaviors in order to proactively control the home environment. In this paper, we propose Multi-Level prediction algorithm for context-aware services in ubiquitous home environment. The algorithm has two phases, prediction and execution. In the first prediction phase, the next location of user is predicted using tree algorithm with information on users, time, location, devices. In the second execution phase, our table matching method decides home appliances to run according to the prediction, device's location, and user requirement. Since usually home appliances operate together rather than separately, our approach introduces the concept of mode service, so that it is possible to control multiple devices as well as a single one. We also devised some scenarios for the conceptual verification and validated our algorithm through simulations.

Defect-free transfer service on the Next-generation wireless network extensive roaming mobile node (MN) to provide efficient mobility management has become very important. MIPv6(Mobility IPv6) is one of mobility management scheme proposed by IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force), and IPv6-based mobility management techniques have been developed in various forms. One of each management techniques, IPv6-based mobility management techniques for PMIPv6 (MIPv6) system to improve the performance of a variety of F-PMIPv6 (Fast Handover for Proxy MIPv6) is proposed. However, the F-PMIPv6 is cannot be excellent than PMIPv6 in all scenarios. Therefor, to select a proper mobility management scheme between PMIPv6 and F-PMIPv6 becomes an interesting issue, for its potenrials in enhancing the capacity and scalability of the system. In this paper, we develop an analytical model to analyze the applicability of PMIPv6 and F-PMIPv6. Based on this model, we design an Secure Smart Mobility Support(SSM) scheme that selects the better alternative between PMIPv6 and F-PMIPv6 for a user according to its changing mobility and service characteristics. When F-PMIPv6 is adopted, SSM chooses the best mobility anchor point and regional size to optimize the system performance. Numerical results illustrate the impact of some key parameters on the applicability of PMIPv6 and F-PMIPv6. Finally, SSM has proven even better result than PMIPv6 and F-PMIPv6.

Future wireless systems will be required to support the increasingly nomadic lifestyle of people. This support will be provided through the use of multiple overlaid networks which have very different characteristics. Moreover, these networks will be required to support the seamless delivery of today's popular desktop services, such as web browsing, interactive multimedia and video conferencing to the mobile devices. Thus one of the major challenges in the design of these mobile systems will be the provision of the quality of service (QoS) guarantees that the applications demand under this diverse networking infrastructure. We believe that it is necessary to use resource reservation and adaptation techniques to deliver these QoS guarantee to applications. However, reservation and pre-configuration in the entire service region is overly aggressive, and results in schemes that are extremely inefficient and unreliable. To overcome this, the mobility pattern of a user can be exploited. If the movement of a user is known, the reservation and configuration procedure can be limited to the regions of the network a user is likely to visit. Our proposed Proxy-UMP is not sensitive to increase of the search cost than other schemes and shows that the increasing rate of total cost is low as the SMR increases.
