  • In this research, we developed a ubiquitous computing platform that can analyze the vibration and noise in wireless environment by wireless LAN and sensors. In order to utilize the COTS(Commercial Off The Shelf) concept, we used a PDA that supports wireless LAN and serial communication as a main board. Following platform is used to measure the noise level of heavy construction equipments in a remote area.

  • The wireless-LAN(Local Area Network), which is emerged as a solution to cable problem and increasing requirement for communication network, has a several problem when it transmit information MAN protocol by used wired-LAN`s MAC protocol. Media Access protocol in Wireless-LAN has great effect on system performance and much studies are processing now. The PRMA(Packet Reservation Multiple Aeecss) of reservation method has a disadvantage that the system performance was degraded become of delay time in the reservation step as a resulting of collision. In this paper, using the TDD(Time Division Duplex) method amd modified PRMA method wireless-LAN modelled to overcome disadvantage, that id delay time due to collision in reservation step. The performance evaluation fo the model was done using M/M/1//M process model and this was simulation using SLAM.

  • In this paper, we have analyzed that interference effect between wireless LAN(IEEE 802.11 a) and radar system in 5㎓ band. Recently, Korea frequency Authority is considering the frequency allocation of wireless LAN system about 5㎓ band that is previously used in radar system. The coexistence occurs interference problem between wireless LAN and radar system, so it is required to analyze the effect of cochannel interference. Accordingly, the frequency allocation could be predicted for wireless LAN system in 5㎓ band and the interference effect has been analyzed by simulation with the radar signal modeling. Simulation results which are presented by PER and EVM show that high SIR(20 ㏈) is required to achieve the target PER about 101.

  • In this paper, we studied a new concept of wireless LAN service. Current service for wireless LAN has some weak points such as occuring a frequency shadowed area, high cost for setting a number of APs, electromagnetic interference by means of a large output transmission and weak security issues. To reduce those problems, we proposed setting antennas which are from one AP for each rooms, and designed a suitable antenna. After that we measured a PMA(Propagation Measurement & Analysis). Experimental results showed that a new concept of wireless LAN service is excellent to resolve interference and weak security issues by minimizing external propagation of a building.

  • Wireless LAN systems have been widely implemented for supporting the wireless internet services especially in the hotspot areas such as hospitals, homes, conference rooms, and so on. Compared with wired LAN systems, wireless LAN systems have the advantages of the users' mobility support and low implementation and maintenance costs. IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN systems employ the backoff algorithm to avoid contentions among STAs when two or more STAs attempt to transmit their data frames simultaneously. The MAC efficiency can be improved if the CW values are adaptively changed according to the channel state of IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs. In this paper, a dynamic contention window control algorithm is proposed using the genetic algorithm to improve the MAC throughput of IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs.

  • Regarding some of tire important works in tire shipyard, like tire production process, quality control, and material handling, there are many elements that disturb tire work-flaw. For example, there are mistakes in manufacturing, delay of production, and poor quality. These kinds of disturbances are from tire delay of communication time between tire production field and tire management. Therefore, it would be possible to strengthen tire competitiveness of shipbuilding industries by applying tire information technology based on Wireless Local Area Network (Wireless LAN), in order to establish tire multi-possession of real time production information in limited large shipbuilding yard. In this study, tire construction concept of tire information system, based on Wireless LAN, is proposed to build communication infrastructures in shipyards. The various information regarding shipbuilding inspection, process management, and material flaw are analyzed and constructed to databases in tire middle ware system, as tire platform for using Personal Display Agent (PDA). At last, tire middle ware system, which delivers tire information, is developed by tire C$\sharp$ and Microsoft.net; also, tire PDA application system is structured in WinCE O/S, and is tested and evaluated under tire server linked condition.

  • In recent days, there are many researches of wireless LAN services as the communication environment of wireless LAN are so improved that a lot of services are available in wireless environments. The frequency of the wireless LAN is a general resource that can be used to everyone without any permission. Many technologies using this ISM (Industry Science Medical) frequency band are developed fast and widely. But, as many devices use the same frequency band at th same time, the service quality is degraded and the speed of the service rate id degraded by the result of the interference. For overcome this problem, we must provide the new technology of the mobile devices and a new cell design scheme for obtaining maximum throughput that considering the wireless environments effectively. In this paper, we explain the main technology at the IEEE 802.11n environments and proposes the optimal cell design and reference model for gaining maximum performance to many mobile devices at the same time by investigating real environment testing results.

  • Portable devices such as smartphones with built-in wireless LAN to the prevalence of anyone using. But the wireless Internet connection and positioning services are limited to high-quality wireless service, they may not be available. Thus, wireless LAN infrared sensor in the same way as with angry alternative way wireless capabilities of the application automatically identify the location of the Sensor application as an alternative method is proposed. Thus, wireless LAN, such as infrared sensors and other alternzative methods of wireless features in a way where the application can recognize and automatically recognize the sensor application as an alternative method is proposed. Sensor is signals between wireless LAN and access points using the sensitivity, WLAN antenna with omni-directional signal output operation of the sensor is assumed to be recognize this by putting a direction to obtain through the proposed algorithm, Sensors such as photo-coupler without direct recognition sensor, wireless LAN and access points, the same function as the connection between the sensitivity to perform its function was to utilizing.

  • In this paper, to support a QoS level appropriate for the user in Wireless Home Network based Wireless LAN, we propose a QoS support architecture which includes Wired Network and Wireless Network. Actually, an important problem to support QoS in Wireless Home Network is approached not only on a MAC level in Wireless LAN but on a integrated method to combine Network layer with Datalink layer. Applying the integrated QoS support method. It is possible to provide QoS support architecture using a Wireless LAN terminal with a minimum changing, the proposed scheme has advantage of QoS support method, which is more superior than a existing scheme to support QoS in MAC level of Wireless LAN. Simulation results that overall performance of the proposed scheme can be improved.
