미세 다심선 정수압 압출 및 단선 무금형 신장 성형 기술 (Multi-Filament Hydrostatic Extrusion and Fine Wire Dieless Stretching Technology)

  • Multi-filament hydrostatic extrusion was developed as a fine wire manufacturing process and wire forming experiments were conducted. Also, single wire stretch forming process was proposed in the possibility of obtaining long wire with constant cross-section. In the multi filament extrusion since the workpiece, die and forming facility are in the macro forming circumstance, fine wire and fine hole structure with less than a few micrometer can be easily obtained. Although stretch forming does not use a die in order to avoid the friction problem between the workpiece and the die, it is necessary to have high level of technology to maintain cross-sectional shape and measure in longitudinal direction.

CNC 와이어 성형기의 피딩박스 구동장치 개발 (Development of Power Train for Feeding Box of CNC Wire Forming Machine)

  • Wire forming machine is widely used in industries to make a variety of wire products such as coil springs and links. Along with the rapid development of CNC technologies, the usage of wire forming machine varies from single-purpose machinery to universal CNC machinery. Rotating the wires while feeding them simultaneously, we can improve the performance of the machines with aspects of efficient tooling and complicated geometric forming. In this study, a new gear train is developed for the control of both feeding and rotating wires independently at the same time. The developed mechanism has many benefits as following, making more complicated geometric and precision products, easier tooling, and simpler programming.

  • Development trend and current status were surveyed for pre-heat-treated high strength cold heading quality (CHQ) wire and it's forming technology. Spheroidizing, quenching, and tempering heat treatments are eliminated by adapting the pre-treated wire, which could reduce energy consumption rate and green house gas emission rate during produce parts requiring high strength. There are some challenging problems to expand application area such as enhancing forming tool life, and preventing delayed failure. Domestic research movement concerning the development and application of the new high strength wire was introduced.

목재(木材)파티클과 철강결체(鐵鋼結締)가 보오드의 물리적(物理的) 성질(性質)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Combining Wood Particles and Wire Net on the Physical Properties of Board)

  • The object of this study was to investigate the effects on physical and mechanical properties of wood particle and sawdust board combined with wire net. Conventional forming, press-lam, and veneer comply boards combining one to four wire net sheets were made from wood particle and sawdust with different spacings (8, 10, 12, and 18 Mok) and different wire diameters (0.35, 0.50, and 0.80mm) composing wire net. They were compared and analyzed statistically with specific gravity, thickness swelling, length swelling, bending properties (modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, work to proportional limit, and total work), internal bonding strength, and screw holding strength between wood particle and sawdust boards. The results obtained at this study as cording to the discussions might be concluded as follows; 1. In specific gravity, both particle and sawdust boards by press-lam method were higher than by conventional forming and veneer comply method, and the boards containing more wire net sheets also showed higher value. But the wire net spacings(Mok) had no influence on specific gravity. In general, particle board showed higher specific gravity than sawdust board. Veneer comply board showed lowest specific gravity values. 2. Both particle and sawdust boards by press-lam method was slightly lower than by conventional forming and veneer comply method in thickness swelling. The sawdust board containing 8, 12. and 18 Mok wire net showed lower thickness swelling than the corresponding particle board, but both sawdust and particle boards containing the T8 and 10 Mok wire net showed higher and similar thickness swelling. 3. Both particle and sawdust boards containing wire net showed no difference in MOR and MOE of bending. Comply board was the highest and particle board showed slightly higher than sawdust board in MOR and MOE values. 4. In work to proportional limit and total work in bending, both particle and sawdust boards containing thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets showed higher value. From these facts, it is conceivable that boards with thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets show increasing resistance against external force. But there was no significant difference between particle and sawdust borads. 5. In resistance against delamination (internal bonding strength), both sawdust and particle boards containing wire net showed lower value than control, and also showed decreasing tendency with more number of wire net sheet composed. Particle board showed higher resistance against delamination than sawdust board. 6. In screw holding strength, sawdust board containing thicker wire diameter and more wire net sheets showed higher value, but particle board by press-lam method was higher than by conventional forming and veneer comply method. Screw holding strength of particle board was higher than that of sawdust board.

  • Electrohydraulic forming(EHF), one of the high-speed forming method, can supplement the weak point of previous forming process such as deep-drawing and electromagnetic forming. Indeed, EHF is time-consuming process during installing wire before experiment that hard to apply to industry. In this research, applying wireless electrode, the formability of SUS430 sheet was compared through EHF experiments using wire-installed electrode and the other, wireless. Although the power was a little lacking, the advantages of the experiment using wireless electrode could be confirmed with checking the optimal location of electrodes where the plasma is generated and comparing free-bulging height depending on former and later condition of electrodes with performing several single and multistage experiments for same voltage, 6 kV.

  • 지합에 영향을 미치는 초지공정의 인자로는 펄프섬유의 특성 및 이의 처리조건, Wet-End Chemistry 그리고 Forming부에서의 탈수 Element의 조건 등을 들 수 있다. 본보고는 지합개선을 위하여 Forming부의 탈수에 의한 지료 교란에 초점을 맞추어 초지기 Wire Part의 지료의 움직임과 현 상황을 측정·분석하여 문제점 및 개선점을 도출한 후, 현 초지 조건에 가장 적합하도록 Wire상의 탈수소자를 조정하였다. 그결과 Forming부에서의 Turbulence를 지속적으로 발생시키도록 탈수곡선을 제조정함으로서 조정 전 대비 괄목할 만한 지합 향상효과를 얻어 이를 보고하고자 한다.

CNC 와이어 벤딩기 구동장치 개발 (Gear Train Development for CNC Wire Bending Machine)

  • CNC wire bending machines are used in industries to make a type variety of wire products such as long links. The machines have a long arm device to rotate in order to remove forming errors by flexibility of wire. Generally, the machines which constructed servo motors in the arm have the rotating range of the arm under 360 degree because the servo motors connect with fixed control devices on frame by many cables. The rotating angle under 360 degree limits working speed and forming geometry. Therefore this study developed a gear train to drive a parts in arm and to be independent on arm rotation movement. The developed gear train can transfer four movements to four components in arm and is consists parallel of four pairs of satellite gear trains. This study constructed the CNC wire bending machine with the developed gear train and verified that the gear train could drive internal components independently on arm rotation.

  • Among the parts assembled in the gas receiver of a marine engine, the titanium alloy stainless steel (STS 316Ti) wire mesh serving as a filter was broken, and the related part, the turbine fan of the turbocharger, was damaged. In this study, a sample of the grid wire mesh was collected and the cause of breakage was analyzed, and a method of minimizing the dent mark caused by the mold during wire forming, which is one of the most direct causes, was studied. In addition, the optimum mold shape was realized through FEM simulation, and the wire wave molding machine capable of controlling the speed was improved by supplementing the problems of the existing wire wave molding machine, thereby improving durability with minimal dent marks.

  • Fine metal (Au, Ag, Cu) wire was extruded with hydrostatic extrusion process in cold condition. A vertical type 900kN hydrostatic extruder has been developed. The extruder was facilitated with high pressure container which are available for hot and cold forming. The container endured 1400MPa internal pressure and extrusion ratio To was achieved in cold forming for Au fine wire which had $600{\mu}m$ diameter. In contrast to the conventional macroscopic-sized-billet fine-wire requires higher extrusion pressure and effect of friction is much more significant.

  • Hot hydrostatic extruder was developed. The main objective of the development is forming fine wire and tube. On account of effectiveness and high performance, the extruder was designed to have double action. Therefore the main cylinder and mandrel can be driven independently. To cope with severe condition of high temperature and pressure, wire-wound container equipped with heater was used. Sealing technique also is important in this process, so seal ring was made of super-elastic metal. Another key for successful forming is choice of proper pressure medium. Fine wire and tube produced by the extruder can be used in semiconductor industry and medicine.
