한-EU FTA 발효 등은 교역 확대가 예상되며, 항만의 역할은 더욱더 중요해 질 것이다. 항만의 성과를 측정할 수 있는 방안으로 DEA를 활용한 효율성 측정을 들 수 있으며, 본 연구에서는 DEA 측정 시 모형 선정의 어려움과 동태적 효율성을 변화를 분석하기 위해 DEA와 Shannon's Entropy 결합모형으로 효율성을 분석하고, DEA-Window 모형으로 동태적 효율변화를 분석하였다.

최근까지 DEA를 이용한 대학도서관 효율성 평가에 관한 선행연구들은 대부분 특정 시점의 횡단면 분석 위주였으며, 효율성 추세변화 분석과 같은 종단면 분석은 거의 수행되지 못하고 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 우선 선행연구들처럼 DEA를 이용하여 특정 시점(2008년) 기준 하에서 국립대학도서관의 상대적 효율 수준을 분석하고, 다음으로 DEA Window 분석 기법을 적용하여 최근 5년(2004년-2008년)간 상대적 효율 수준의 추세변화를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 특정시점 하에서 상대적 효율은 기술 효율성 측면에서 비효율적이었으며, 이는 상대적으로 규모의 비효율에 기인하는 것으로 나타나 선행연구 결과들을 재확인하였다. 둘째, 이러한 기술 효율성의 비효율은 전반적으로 최근 5년간 지속적인 개선이 있었으나 이는 상대적으로 순수 기술 효율성의 개선에 따른 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 앞으로 국립대학도서관의 기술 효율성을 개선하기 위해서는 규모의 비효율을 개선하는 노력이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the efficiency change and its determinants of the regional public hospitals. We utilize 34 regional public hospital's panel data for 6 years from 2003 to 2008. We use DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis)-CCR, BCC model, DEA/Window model, and DEA Profiling. The empirical results show the following findings. First, technical efficiency shows that approximately 3.6% of inefficiency exists on the regional public hospitals and it reveals that the cause for technical inefficiency is due to scale inefficiency. Second, DEA/Window results show that the stable dissimilarity by standard deviation, LDP of CCR. Third, the results of partial efficiency by DEA Profiling show that increase efficiency depends on the number of beds, doctors, and nurses.

본 연구는 최근 엔터테인먼트 산업의 핵심 분야로 각광받으며 향후 국가 경제의 새로운 성장 동력으로 주목을 받고 있는 게임산업 중 온라인 및 모바일 게임 기업 25곳을 대상으로 2014년부터 2018년까지 5년간의 효율성 분석을 진행하였다. 정태적 효율성 분석을 위해 DEA를, 동태적 효율성 분석을 위해 DEA-Window를 사용하였다. 투입 변수로 자산, 종업원 수, 비용을 선정하였으며 산출 변수로 영업이익과 매출을 선정하였다. 연구의 주요 결과로는 규모 효율성은 2014년을 제외하고 전체 평균이 0.85를 넘는 준수한 결과를 보였으나, 기술 효율성은 전체 기간 중 0.80을 넘은 연도가 없었다. 또한 기업 규모의 관점에서 상위 기업과 하위 기업의 효율성 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 효율성 평균의 추이는 2014년부터 2016년까지 상승하다가 2017년부터 하락하는 결과를 나타냈다.

This paper measures the operational efficiency of domestic online game companies and analyze its trends and patterns by using data envelopment analysis (DEA). DEA is a non-parametric approach to measuring the relative efficiency of decision-making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. 14 online game companies are selected as DMUs and three inputs (number of employees, capital and asset) and three outputs (sales, operating profit and net profit) are selected as DEA variables. First, the output-oriented BCC model and super-efficiency model are employed to measure the static operational efficiency of the online game companies from 2003 to 2012. We also conduct the dynamic analysis with DEA window model to capture the trends of their operational efficiency influenced by internal and external environmental changes. The results are expected to provide fruitful implications for strategic decision making of online game companies and policy making for the online game industry.

본 연구는 부산광역시의 15개 자치구에 대한 2003년부터 2007년까지의 5년간 자료를 가지고 DEA 와 DEA/Window 분석을 적용하여 자치구의 단일기간의 효율성 및 시대별 효율성 변동을 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 투입요인으로 공무원 수, 인건비, 인구수, 주민 세출액을 선정하였으며, 산출요인으로 민원처리건수, 지방세 정수액, 그리고 재정자립도를 선정하였다. 본 연구는 서로 다른 자치구의 효율성이 시대별로 어느 정도 변동하고 있는지를 분석할 수 있는 평가 모형을 제시하고 있으며, 분석결과로는 자치구의 효율성이 2003년부터 줄어들고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 실증분석은 비효율성이 일부 자치구의 특정 시점에서 존재하고 있음을 밝히고 있으며, DENWindow 분석의 필요성을 보여주고 있다. DENWindow 분석은 윈도우 1에서 윈도우 3으로 갈수록 자치구의 효율성이 점차 낮아지고 있음을 보여주고 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the 24 mail center's efficiency and productivity changes from first quarter to fourth quarter of 2008 using window analysis and Malmquist productivity index. Row views of window analysis results make it possible to determine trends and/or observed behavior with the same data set, and column views to examine the stability of results across different data sets. Malmquist productivity indexes greater than unity translate into improvements in productivity, and less than unity mean deterioration in performance over time. The results of this study suggest that DEA models under dynamic situations such as window analysis and Malmquist productivity index enable us to comprehend the efficiency and productivity changes over time and to show the direction of improvements.

본 논문은 BI 시스템을 도입하여 사용하고 있는 기업들을 'IT통신 업종', '전기전자 업종', '에너지 화학 업종', '자동차 기계 장비 업종', '식품 소비재 업종' 과 같이 5개 산업 업종으로 구분 하여 BI 시스템을 도입한 기업의 효율성을 DEA 기법의 CCR 모형과 BCC 모형을 활용하여 평가하였으며, 특히 Time-Window 기법을 적용하여 BI 도입 후 기간별로 효율성의 변화 추이를 분석하였다. 즉 BI 시스템을 도입한 기업들의 상대적인 효율성을 비교하여 순위를 매기고, 분석 시 BI 도입 시점으로부터 시간이 흐른 것을 토대로 비교 평가하는 Time Window 기법을 활용하여 BI를 도입한 지 오래된 기업과 그렇지 않은 기업을 차별화하여 의미 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 에너지 화학 산업에서 BI 도입 후 효율성 제고가 두드러졌고 전기 전자 산업의 효율성이 꾸준히 안정화되어 가고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

우리나라의 생명보험산업은 IMF 사태와 방카슈랑스의 도입 등 많은 변화를 겪어왔으며 앞으로 시행될 자본통합법의 시행도 추후에는 생명보험산업에 많은 영향을 미칠 것으로 보이며 생명보험회사의 경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 효율성의 분석이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 DEA 모형을 이용하여 우리나라에서 영업 중인 생명보험회사들의 효율성을 분석했다. 이를 위해 투입변수는 두 가지 범주로 나누어서 분석을 시도하였고 동태적 효율성을 분석하기 위해서 DEA/WINDOW 모형을 도입하였다. 이를 통하여 생명보험회사들의 CCR, BCC, 규모효율성을 알 수 있었고 7년간(1998년$\sim$2004년)의 효율성의 추세와 안정성을 파악할 수 있었다.
