전류파형을 변조한 단상유도전동기구의 특성에 관한 연구 (Performances of Current-Waveform Modulated Single-Phase Induction Machine)

  • A single-phase induction motor with it's stator winding splitted into two series windings, of which the terminals of one winding is switched pulsationally by a thyristor type ON-OFF device so that the motor may operate as a pulsational shaded-pole motor, can modulate current waveforms of it's two series windings. In view of current waveform modulation method, a single-phase single-winding motor operates as a two-phase induction motor with asymmetrical axis windings where the starting torque can be obtained effectively without an auxiliary capacitor attached and it's running speed controlled by shifting phase between current waveforms differently. Equivalent circuit for analysis is modified from a double revolving field equivalent circuit of a single-phase induction motor with asymmetrical windings whose angle is 45.deg.C elet. degrees. Analysis and test results show that ON-OFF action of the pulsational shaded-pole winding has the same effect of a series capacitor, and then at heavy loads this motor operates with a small amonut of the input current than that having the fixed shaded-pole winding.

고온초전도변압기의 특성해석 (The Characteristics Analysis of a HTS Transformer)

  • This paper presents the performance evaluation of an HTS transformer. Numerical calculation by finite element method was used to evaluate the performance. BSCCO-2223 HTS tapes and double pancake winding were adopted in this design. Four double pancake windings were used in total. Among them two windings were connected in series for high voltage winding and two windings are connected in parallel for low voltage winding. Propertied of various type of the winding arrangement were examined. Characteristics of the transformer during the transient which was caused by sudden short were simulated. The current limiting effect, temperature rise and resistance growth of the superconducting winding were shown.

Effect of Ambient Temperature on Insulation Lifetime of Winding Coil Prepared with Polyamideimide/Nanosilica Enamelled Wire

  • The effects of ambient temperature and diameter on the insulation lifetime of winding coils prepared with polyamideimide (PAI), flexural PAI (nanosilica 5 wt%) and anti-corona PAI (nanosilica 15 wt%) wires were investigated. The winding coils were made of enameled wire with enamel thickness of 30~50 μm. The thickness and width of the rectangular copper wires were 0.77~0.83 mm and 1.17~1.23 mm, respectively. The insulation breakdown lifetime decreased with increasing ambient temperature regardless of wire type and winding coil diameter under an inverter surge of 1.5 kV/20 kHz. The insulation breakdown lifetimes of φ5 mm winding coils at 150, 200, and 250℃ were 11.38, 5.19, and 4.22 min respectively, and those of φ10 mm winding coils at 150, 200, and 250℃ were 11.32, 5.79, and 4.57min respectively. The winding coil diameter had little effect on the insulation lifetime.

  • This paper researched the power loss characteristics according to winding method of high frequency transformer. Power loss was analyzed by PExprt using FEM software. The ferrite core model for analysis be used the EE type. Transformer model objected type applied to flyback converter. Therefore, analysis result was obtained the many parameter of DC, AC resistance, leakage inductance, copper loss, core loss, and temperature etc.

  • A computer program for composite pressure vtlssel design is developed. In-puts are : material-property(young's modulus, shear modulus, tensile strength, poisson's ratio, density), operating pressure, burst pressure, liner thickness, boss diameter, boss weight and number of helical angles. Out-puts are; thickness of each layer, weight of the vessel, dimension of the vessel, inner volume, dome-shape and helical winding angle. Also filament winding angles can be selected various kinds of utilizing virtual boss diameter.

  • This paper presents a method to reduce the back-emf THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) for the Concentric winding type Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(CIPMSM). In the CIPMSM, many design variables and their complicated combinations must be considered to reduce the back-emf THD, but it requires a lot of time and efforts. Therefore, this paper suggests the optimized solution with two simple design parameters using MINITAB software.

  • This paper proposes a grid-connected to rotor type doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in which the rotor winding is connected to the grid instead of the stator winding. The stator size and weight of the proposed grid-connected to rotor type DFIG can be reduced because the proposed type can use rotor core more efficiently compared to the stator type DFIG. In order to verify the size and weight reduction of the proposed type, the loading distribution method (LDM) is utilized. As a design result, the stator outer diameter and weight of the proposed type were decreased. The equivalent circuit analysis and finite element method also performed to verify the design results and to analyze characteristics of the novel DFIG.

자속구속형 고온초전도 사고전류제한기의 히스테리시스 특성 (Hysteresis Characteristics of Flux-Lock Type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter)

  • For the design to prevent the saturation of the iron core and the effective fault current limitation, the analysis for the operation of the flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) with consideration for the hysteresis characteristics of the iron core is required. In this paper, the hysteresis characteristics of the flux-lock reactor, which is an essential component of the flux-lock type SFCL, were investigated. Under normal condition, the hysteresis loss of the iron core in the flux-lock type SFCL does not happen due to its winding structure. From the equivalent circuit for the flux-lock type SFCL and the fault current limiting experiments, the hysteresis curves could be drawn. From the analysis for both the hysteresis curves and the fault current limiting characteristics due to the number of turns for the 1st and 2nd windings, the increase of the number of turns in the 2nd winding of the flux-lock type SFCL had a role to prevent the iron core from saturation.

새로운 권선법을 이용한 4극 로렌쯔형 자기 부상 모터 (4-pole Lorentz Force Type Self-bearing Motor with a New Winding Configuration)

  • This paper introduces a four-Pole Lorentz force type self-bearing motor in which a new winding configuration is proposed to enable the sing1e winding to function both as a synchronous PM motor and as a magnetic bearing. The Lorentz force type has some good points such as the linearity of control force, freedom from flux saturation, and high efficiency, unlike conventional self-bearing motors using a reluctance force. And also, compared with the previously proposed eight-pole type, this four-pole self-bearing motor is more profitable for high rotational speed. In this paper, mathematical expressions of torque and radial force in the proposed self-bearing motor are derived to show that they can be separately controlled regardless of rotational speed and time. For verification of the theory, a prototype is made, where a ring-shape outer rotor is actively controlled in two radial directions while the other motions are passively stable supposing the radial stability. Through some experiments. it is shown that the proposed scheme can provide high capability and feasibility for a small high-speed self-bearing motor.

CNG용 Type 4 하이브리드 섬유 복합재 용기 개발에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Hybrid Fiber Reinforced Composite for a Type 4 CNG Vessel)

  • The objective of this study is to develop and commercialize an on-board fuel storage system for CNG vehicles. A type 4 vessel is made of resin-impregnated continuous filament windings on a polyamide (PA6) liner. In particular, this study localized the PA6 liner's fabrication and development. To analyze the filament winding, a specimen test was performed, and the results were verified values obtained using finite element analysis. In this study, the filament winding and fibers were optimized for a 207 bar composite cylinder in a compressed natural gas vehicle.
