To characterize virtual reflection images of deep subsurface by the method of seismic interferometry, we analyzed effects of offset range, ambient noise, missing data, and statics on interferograms. For the analyses, seismic energy was simulated to be generated by a 5 Hz point source at the surface. Vertical components of particle velocity were computed at 201 sensor locations at 100 m depths of 1 km intervals by the finite difference method. Each pair of synthetic seismic traces was cross-correlated to generate stacked reflection section by the conventional processing method. Wide-angle reflection problems in reflection interferometry can be minimized by setting a maximum offset range. Ambient noise, missing data, and statics turn to yield processing noise that spreads out from virtual sources due to stretch mutes during normal moveout corrections. The level of processing noise is most sensitive to amplitude and duration time of ambient noise in stacked sections but also affected by number of missing data and the amount of statics.
The purpose of this study was to make a pants pattern suitable for women 70 to 85 years of age, then analyze that- pattern's shape, size, appearance, fit, allowance and air gap. Participants made the pattern using 3D simulation program DC Suite version 5.1. The results suggest a design method suitable for the lower-body shapes of elderly women. In external appearance, the A-type earned the highest evaluation in all items except the allowance of the back waist and back hip. The L type earned the highest evaluation in the allowance of back waist and hips. The A-type's, back waist appeared set at an angle that did not match the body shape of an old-old aged woman in the center-back-line setting. Therefore, the pattern method of A-type combined with L-type's method of center back, produces an excellent pants pattern. Evaluation of the air gaps among patterns revealed that; the A-type showed the largest air gap in waist and hip circumference and the smallest air gap in thigh circumference. The waists, abdomen, and hip circumferences of older women often become larger while their legs become slimmer. This study accounted for those factors in determining a pattern suitable for the lower-body shape of old-old aged women. However, participants only analyzed four patterns and compared them with women 70 to 85, years of age. Therefore, it is necessary to develop industrial patterns applicable to a wide age group.
This study was to analysis the kinematic and kinetic differences between new walking shoe(NWS : RYN) and general walking shoe(GWS). The subjects for this study were 10 male adults who had the walking pattern of rearfoot shrike with normal foot. The movement of one lower leg was measured using plantar pressure and Vicon Motion Analysis Program(6 MX13 and 2 MX40 cameras : 100 f / s) while the subjects walked at the velocity(1.5m/s. on 2m).. The results of this study was as follows : 1. The NWS was better than the GWS that caused injuries such as adduction, abduction and pronation are reduced While walking on a perpendicular surface, the landing angle and the knees angles were extensive which makes walking more safe which reduces anxiety and uneasiness. 2. The bottom of the NWS were now made into a more circular arch which supports the weight of the body and reduces the irregular angles when wearing GWS. This arch made the supporting area more wide which made the upholding the trunk of the body more effective. The whole bottom of the foot that supports the weight is more flexible in addition, increases the safeness of walking patterns and the momentum of the body. 3. The moment the heel of the foot of the NWS touch the ground, the range of the pressure were partially notable and the range of the pressure on the upper part of the thigh were dispersed The injuries that occurred while walking. primary factors when a shock related injuries are reduced Judgements of the impacts of the knees and the spinal column dispersing could be made.

Characterization of the UV oxidation for raw natural rubber (NR) was investigated in controlled conditions through image and FT-IR analysis. The UV oxidation was performed on a thin film of natural rubber coated on a KBr window at 254 nm and room temperature to exclude the thermal oxidation. Before or after exposure to UV light, image of the NR thin film was observed at a right or tilted angle. FT-IR absorption spectra were measured in transmission mode with the UV irradiation time. The UV oxidation of NR was examined by the changes of absorption peaks at 3425, 1717, 1084, 1477, 1377, and $833cm^{-1}$ which were assigned to hydroxyl group (-OH), carbonyl group (-C=O), carbon-oxygen bond (-C-O), methylene group $(-CH_2-)$, methyl group $(-CH_3)$, and cis-methine group $(cis-CCH_3=CH-)$, respectively. During the initial exposure period, the results indicated that the appearance of carbonyl group was directly related to the reduction of cis-methine group containing carbon-carbon double bond (-C=C-). Most of aldehydes or ketones from carbon-carbon double bonds were formed very fast by chain scission. A lot of long wide cracks with one orientation at regular intervals which resulted in consecutive chain scission were observed by image analysis. During all exposure periods, on the other hand, it was considered that the continuous increment of hydroxyl and carbonyl group was closely related to the decrement of methylene and methyl group in the allylic position. Therefore, two possible mechanisms for the UV oxidation of NR were suggested.
This paper is concerned with locomotion of dog-like quadruped robots that can adapt to various terrains, mainly dealing with implementation methods and characteristics of static and dynamic gaits. To this end, a 12-DOF robot is built in house, motional trajectories of its body and feet are generated mimicking biological life, and the corresponding leg joint angles are analytically obtained by inverse kinematics. Such joint angle data are then applied to the robot's ADAMS model for computer simulations so that the planned walk and trot gaits are both confirmed dynamically stable. However, contrary to the simulation results, previous trot patterns showed unstable behavior during experiments. This problem led us to analyze the reason, and in the course we discovered the importance of maximally utilizing the concept of WSM rather than ZMP and therefore reducing the gait period to secure the stability of dynamic gaits such as trot.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can automatically mix the screen and sound by tracking the change of the sound data according to the screen change so that the real sound can be implemented in the personal broadcasting service. Since the personal broadcasting service is often broadcasted lively, it should be convenient to have a real-time mixing. Through experiments, it was confirmed that the sound pressure changes in a wide range in the high frequency band related to the clarity for understanding according to the rotation angle change of the screen. Regression analysis of the sound pressure changes at 2kHz, 4kHz, and 8kHz, The attenuation change of sound pressure was observed at the slope of -1.17, the slope of -2.0, and the slope of -2.44 for each frequency. Therefore, these experiment results can be applied to the VR service. This study is expected to be useful data in the implementation of personal broadcasting service.
The stress triaxiality and lode angle are known to be most dominant fracture parameters in ductile materials. This paper proposes a three-dimensional failure strain surface for a ductile steel, called a low-temperature high-tensile steel (EH36), using average stress triaxiality and average normalized lode parameter, along with briefly introducing their theoretical background. It is an extension of previous works by Choung et al. (2011; 2012; 2014a; 2014b) and Choung and Nam (2013), in which a two-dimensional failure strain locus was presented. A series of tests for specially designed specimens that were expected to fail in the shear mode, shear-tension mode, and compression mode was conducted to develop a three-dimensional fracture surface covering wide ranges for the two parameters. This paper discusses the test procedures for three different tests in detail. The tensile force versus stroke data are presented as the results of these tests and will be used for the verification of numerical simulations and fracture identifications in Part II.
Retro-reflectors have been used for a wide range of applications such as traffic safety, special blinds, optical devices, etc. We analyzed the characteristics of the reflected light of a strap retro-reflector as a function of incidence angle. It is expected that various solar control structures may be designed more quantitatively using the characteristic chart we have prepared.
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between velocity and factors which could affect the velocity of mandibular movement. For this study, 30 dental students without any masticatory signs and symptoms and 90 patients with temporomandibular disorders(TMD) were selected as the control group and the patients group, respectively. After determining Angle's classification and lateral guidance pattern of occlusion, clinical examination for TMD was perfomed. Velocity and distance of mandibular movements were recorded with BioEGN, reproducibility index of lateral excursions was evaluated by Pantronic(PRI) and BioEGN (BERI) activity in masticatory and cervical muscles were measured with BioEMG, and occlusal contact time and cross-arch unbalance(Total left-right statistics, TLR) on clenching were recorded with T-scan, respectively. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Velocity in the patients was faster than that in the controls in most mandibular movements, but on wide opening and closing movement, result was reverse. 2. Velocity on closing movements were faster than that on opening movements in the control group and a similar tendency was also shown in the patients group. 3. Patients with muscle disorders showed a tendency to have the highest value of velocity of all diagnostic subgroups, while patients with degenerative joint diseases showed a tendency to have the lowest value. 4. Patients with canine guidance showed a tendency to have the highest value of velocity in three subgroups by lateral guidance pattern, while patients with group function showed a tendency to have the lowest value. 5. BERI had a positive correlation with opening velocity on lateral excursion, while TLR had a negative correlation with opening velocity on swallowing. 6. EMG activity on clenching in masticatory muscles had negative correlation with opening velocity on border movements, and on swollowing, while the activity in rest correlated positively with opening velocity on border movements. 7. There were positive correlation between the velocity and the distance in long components of mandibular trajectory.

Omnidirectional camera system with a wide view angle is widely used in surveillance and robotics areas. In general, most of previous studies on estimating a projection model and the extrinsic parameters from the omnidirectional images assume corresponding points previously established among views. This paper presents a novel omnidirectional camera calibration based on automatic contour matching. In the first place, we estimate the initial parameters including translation and rotations by using the epipolar constraint from the matched feature points. After choosing the interested points adjacent to more than two contours, we establish a precise correspondence among the connected contours by using the initial parameters and the active matching windows. The extrinsic parameters of the omnidirectional camera are estimated minimizing the angular errors of the epipolar plane of endpoints and the inverse projected 3D vectors. Experimental results on synthetic and real images demonstrate that the proposed algorithm obtains more precise camera parameters than the previous method.
