오프로드차량의 슬립-견인력 관계의 평가에 사용되는 ASAE 제로조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on Zero-Condition of ASAE for Estimating Slip-Traction Relationship of Off-Road Vehicles)

  • Traction performance of off-road vehicles is estimated using slip-traction relationships Two zero condition accepted by ASAE have been used widely to obtain the slip-traction relationships of off-road vehicles. This study was carried out using the soil bin systems to investigate the characteristic of slip-traction curves obtained using two zero conditions defined by ASAE. which are driving and driven zero condition, and to present disadvantage of slip-traction relationship based on two zero conditions of ASAE. The results of this study are summarized as follows : 1. For the driving zero condition, the curve of slip-traction relationship shows some issues. The first question is that the slip is zero when the traction is zero. The second question is that the value of slip is smaller than that of corresponding real slip, as the rolling radius decreased f3r the setting zero condition with driving wheel. 2. For the driven zero condition. slip occurs when the traction is zero, which is more realistic results than driving zero condition. But when a zero condition is set, skid occurs and this result increased the rolling radius of tire and increased slip value f3r the specific traction value of whole slip range. This kind of trend was getting bigger as the soil is softer, or the tire inflation pressure is higher. 3. From the results of this study, it was found that slip-traction relationship obtained by two zero conditions of ASAE is not realistic in estimating the traction performance of off-road vehicles. And also slip-traction relationship obtained for the same experimental condition showed different result in accordance with chosen zero condition,

수평 구름 바퀴가 적용된 신 유형 미서기 창문의 기밀성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Enhance of Air tightness Performance of a New Type Silding Window with horizontally Rolling Wheels)

  • 창문에서의 틈은 열 손실 뿐만 아니라 차음 성능에도 중대한 결함으로 작용되며, 특히 인체에 유해한 미세먼지 유입 경로로도 작용된다. 이러한 틈을 제거하기위해 많은 시도들이 이루어지고 있으나, 창문의 고유 기능인 이동특성으로 인해 해결하기 어려운 난제로 인식되어왔다. 본 연구는 이를 해결하기위해 수평 회전 휠과 곡선 레일을 적용한 새로운 유형의 미서기 창문을 제작하고, KS 시험 기준에 따라 사용성, 내구성, 기밀성능, 등의 성능 시험을 하였다. 시험 결과, 개폐력은 2000 N 중량의 창문에서 30 N, 개폐 반복성 시험에서는 100,000 cycles, 기밀성 시험에서는 10 Pa에서 $0.00m^3/(m^2h)$의 성능을 보여주었다. 상기 시험 결과, 새로운 구동 방식을 지닌 본 연구에서의 창문은 기밀성과 경제적 측면에서 새로운 접근 방식을 제시하고 있다.

인천국제공항철도 전동차의 주행안전성 평가 (The Evaluation for Running Safety of Incheon International Airport Railway EMU)

  • 본 논문은 인천국제공항철도에서 운행하고 있는 전동차의 동적특성시험을 수행한 결과이다. 인천국제공항철도의 직통형 전동차는 국내 처음으로 120km/h로 주행한 차량으로 탈선계수를 공차와 만차로 구분하여 측정하였다. 탈선계수측정결과 탈선에 대한 안전성을 판단할 때 가장 기본적인 지표로 사용하는 탈선계수는 공차 때가 만차 때보다 높게 나타났으며, 공차와 만차 모두 0.8 미만이었다. 속도에 따른 탈선계수는 80km/h를 전후한 속도 대역으로 운행하는 구간이 선로상태가 좋지 않은 구간으로서 탈선계수도 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 횡압은 공차 때에는 2.1톤 미만이었으며, 만차 때에는 2.4톤 미만으로 발생하였다. 인천국제공항철도 전동차가 120km/h 주행에서도 안전함을 탈선계수 실측에 의해 확인하였다. 그러나 본 논문에서 적용된 평가방법의 경우 시험방법이 복잡하고, 측정장치 설치의 어려움이 있으며, 비용이 많이 드는 단점이 있었다. 따라서 측정이 간단한 방법으로 영업운전에서도 차량의 안전성을 확인할 수 있는 방안이 연구되어야 할 것이다.

토사지반과 핵석이 포함된 복합지반에서 쉴드TBM 굴진 시 장비부하에 관한 연구 (A study on the machine load on shield advancing between soil ground and mix ground included core stone)

  • 도심지 터널공사에서는 주변 건물의 안전성을 확보하고, 민원을 최소화할 수 있는 쉴드TBM 공법이 대부분 적용되고 있다. 도심지에는 기존의 택지를 매립조성하거나 개량하는 경우가 많기 때문에 지표에서부터 암반 경계부까지는 불균질한 상태로 이루어지는 경우가 많다. 이와 같이 토사지반, 파쇄정도가 다양한 화강암지반, 핵석층, 암층과 같이 복잡한 지반 조건에서 쉴드TBM으로 터널구조물을 구축하는 경우, 각 지반조건에 따른 쉴드TBM에 나타나는 기계데이터를 분석하여 지반조건에 따른 장비부하의 특징을 비교분석하였다. 그 결과, 설계막장압을 유지하면서 굴진하고, 주기적으로 커터를 점검하여 교체하는 경우, 배토량, 추력, 커터토오크의 경향으로 지반조건의 변화를 예측할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

정압 베어링을 적용한 수소 액화 공정용 터보 팽창기 개발 (Development of Turbo Expanders with Hydrostatic Bearings for Hydrogen Liquefaction Plants)

  • This paper presents a hydrostatic bearing design and rotordynamic analysis of a turbo expander for a hydrogen liquefaction plant. Th~e turbo expander includes the turbine and compressor wheel assembled to a shaft supported by two hydrostatic radial and thrust bearings. The rated speed is 75,000 rpm and the rated power is 6 kW. For the bearing operation, we use pressurized air at 8.5 bar as the lubricant that is supplied to the bearing through the orifice restrictor. We calculate the bearing stiffness and flow rate for various gauge pressure ratios and select the orifice diameter providing the maximum bearing stiffness. Additionally, we conduct a rotordynamic analysis based on the calculated bearing stiffness and damping considering design parameters of the turbo expander. The predicted Cambell diagram indicates that there are two critical speeds under the rated speed and there exists a sufficient separation margin for the rated speed. In addition, the predicted rotor vibration is under 1 ㎛ at the rated speed. We conduct the operating test of the turbo expander in the test rig. For the operation, we supply pressurized air to the turbine and monitor the shaft vibration during the test. The test results show that there are two critical speeds under the rated speed, and the shaft vibration is controlled under 2.5 ㎛.

농작업 부하 계측을 위한 80kW급 계측 트랙터 개발 및 검증 (Development of the 80-kW Test Tractor for Load Measurement of Agricultural Operations)

  • RIn this study, a test tractor that could measure various types of agricultural operational loads was developed, and its performance was verified. This tractor could be used to measure the load generated during agricultural work and convert the related data into a database. A test tractor was developed using an 80-kW-rated load tractor, and it could measure various types of field test data, such as engine torque and rpm, wheel torque, PTO(power take-off) torque, hexometer, IMU/INS sensor, steering angle sensor, hydraulic pressure, and flow sensor data. To verify the developed test tractor, a verification test using an agriculture rotavator was performed. The test conditions were L1, L2, and L3 based on the tractor's main and sub-transmission stages, and stages 1 and 2 were selected as the PTO. In a comparison of the analyzed test data, similar tendencies in the test results of this research and other research (Kim's research) were seen. Through this, the developed test tractor was verified. In the future, we plan to conduct research on the tractor developed in this study using various attached working machines.

이차전지 원료 해쇄용 그라인딩 디스크 어셈블리 내 열 유동 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Flow Analysis in Grinding Disc Assembly for Disintegration of Secondary Battery Materials)

  • Sustained economic development around the world is accelerating resource depletion. Research and development of secondary batteries that can replace them is also being actively conducted. Secondary batteries are emerging as a key technology for carbon neutrality. The core of an electric vehicle is the battery (secondary battery). Therefore, in this study, the temperature change by the heat source of the hammer and the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disc of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) was repeatedly calculated and analyzed using the heat flow simulation STAR-CCM+. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the abrasive disk increases, the convergence condition of the iteration increases. Under the condition that the inlet speed of the Classifier Separator Mill (CSM) and the heat source value of the disc hammer are the same, the disc rotation speed (rpm) and the hammer temperature are inversely proportional. As the rotational speed (rpm) of the disc increases, the hammer temperature decreases. However, since the wear rate of the secondary battery material increases due to the strong impact of the crushing rotational force, it is determined that an appropriate rpm setting is necessary. In CSM (Classifier Separator Mill), it is judged that the flow rate difference is not significantly different in the direction of the pressure outlet (Outlet 1) right above the classifier wheel with the fastest flow rate. Because the disc and hammer attachment technology is adhesive, the attachment point may deform when the temperature of the hammer rises. Therefore, it is considered necessary to develop high-performance adhesives and other adhesive technologies.

자동차 유압브레이크용 고무호스의 내구성 시험 및 미세손상에 관한 연구 (Durability Test and Micro-Damage Formation of Rubber Hose for Automotive Hydraulic Brake)

  • 자동차용 유압브레이크 고무호스 어셈블리 제품은 자동차에 장착되어 실제로 사용 중에 가압, 굽힘, 비틀림, 열하중 등의 복합적인 스트레스를 받는다. 고무호스의 재질은 EPDM(ethylene-propylene diene monomer)고무와 PVA(polyvinyl acetate)섬유 보강층 그리고 중간고무로 NR(natural rubber)고무가 사용되고 있다. 고무호스 어셈블리 제품의 내구성과 파괴 메커니즘을 조사하기 위해 굽힘과 비틀림의 반복하중 사이클 수가 10만, 20만, 30만, 40만, 최종파열 사이클 수까지 되도록 시험하였다. 유압브레이크 고무호스의 초기크랙 발생을 알아보기 위해 제품 시험편을 다이아몬드 휠커터를 이용하여 수직 절단하여 폴리싱한 후 광학현미경과 주사형 전자현미경(SEM)으로 단면을 관찰하였다. 40만 사이클의 피로하중을 받은 시험편을 보면 외면고무와 PVA섬유 사이의 계면을 따라 길이 1mm의 층간분리가 일어났으며, 이러한 손상은 외면고무의 표피층으로 균열을 진전시켜 고무호스를 최종적으로 찢어지게 하는 것이다.

필름 이송을 위한 진공 롤 외통의 정밀가공 공정개발 (Development of a precision machining process for the outer cylinder of vacuum roll for film transfer)

  • Unlike the roll-to-roll process that uses a steel roll and a nip roll, a vacuum roll can hold and transfer a thin film using a single roll. To precisely manufacture a vacuum roll, a thin outer cylinder must be machined, which is assembled on the outside of the roll and contacts the film via vacuum pressure. In this study, the effects of jaw width and chucking force on the deformation of the outer cylinder during the turning process were investigated using analysis, and a precision machining and burr removal process was developed. The deformation of the outer cylinder decreased almost linearly with increasing jaw width and increased with higher chucking force and larger cylinder diameter. Additionally, the deflection due to the weight of the outer cylinder was approximately three times greater than that caused by film tension. For the machined outer cylinder, a burr removal experiment was conducted, and concentricity and cylindricity were measured. Using a device that removes burrs by rotating a wheel connected to the main shaft at high speed, it was found that burrs generated on the inner diameter could be removed very efficiently. On the vacuum side, the concentricity errors of the inner and outer diameters were 0.015 mm and 0.014 mm, respectively, and on the opposite side, they were 0.006 mm and 0.010 mm, respectively. Additionally, the measurement of Total Indicator Runout (TIR) according to the angle showed that the maximum cylindricity of the outer and inner diameters was 0.02 mm and 0.025 mm, respectively. Finally, through burr-height measurement at the hole boundary, it was found that the heights were within 0.05 mm.

Comparative study on the performance of Pod type waterjet by experiment and computation

  • A comparative study between a computation and an experiment has been conducted to predict the performance of a Pod type waterjet for cm amphibious wheeled vehicle. The Pod type waterjet has been chosen on the basis of the required specific speed of more than 2500. As the Pod type waterjet is an extreme type of axial flow type waterjet, theoretical as well as experimental works about Pod type waterjets are very rare. The main purpose of the present study is to validate and compare to the experimental results of the Pod type waterjet with the developed CFD in-house code based on the RANS equations. The developed code has been validated by comparing with the experimental results of the well-known turbine problem. The validation also extended to the flush type waterjet where the pressures along the duct surface and also velocities at nozzle area have been compared with experimental results. The Pod type waterjet has been designed and the performance of the designed waterjet system including duct, impeller and stator was analyzed by the previously mentioned m-house CFD Code. The pressure distributions and limiting streamlines on the blade surfaces were computed to confirm the performance of the designed waterjets. In addition, the torque and momentum were computed to find the entire efficiency and these were compared with the model test results. Measurements were taken of the flow rate at the nozzle exit, static pressure at the various sections along the duct and also the nozzle, revolution of the impeller, torque, thrust and towing forces at various advance speed's for the prediction of performance as well as for comparison with the computations. Based on these measurements, the performance was analyzed according to the ITTC96 standard analysis method. The full-scale effective and the delivered power of the wheeled vehicle were estimated for the prediction of the service speed. This paper emphasizes the confirmation of the ITTC96 analysis method and the developed analysis code for the design and analysis of the Pod type waterjet system.
