탈곡기의 급동 속도가 도정 손실에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Thresher Drum-Speed on the Quality of the Milled Rice)

  • It is understood that drum speed of threshers and the moisture content of paddy grains to be threshed, respectively, have a signific:mt effect upon rice recoveries. Threshing under an increased drum speed would give a high performance rate, which is the general practice in custom work threshing in association with the use of semiauto-t hreshers. In the connection, however, it may result in the promotion of grain cracks and brokens of the rice product after milling. No reference or determination for an opti mum drum speed of the thresher is made available for various grain moisture contents at the time of the threshing operation and for different rice varieties especially for the Tongil rice varieties. This study was Conducted to find out and determine effects of the drum speeds on grain losses. The grain loss was quantified in terms of recovery rates of rice grains after treatments. Samples of each of all treatments were taken from the grain sampling plate placed in the grain conveyor of threshers. The grain sample plate was specially provided for this experiment. The brown-rice, milling, and head-rice recJveries were tes ted in the laboratory mill, respectively. Two rice varieties, Akibare and Suweon 251, each with five levels of different moist\ulcornerure contents at harvest and six levels of different drum speeds of threshers, were selected and used for treatments in this experiment. Two conditions of materials were tested in the thresher. One condition was to thresh the experimental material immediately after cutting, referred to as the wet-material thr eshing in this study. The other was to thresh the experimental :material, dried to contain about 15-16 percent of the grain moisture under the shocking operation. This is referred to as the dry-material threshing in this study. In additioon, field measurements for the grain moistures and drum-sdeeds under actual operation practices of the traditional field threshing, were conducted with a view to comparing with results of the experimental treatments. The results of the study may be summarized as follows: 1. For threshing treatments of Japonica-type rice variety (Akibare) , the effect of drum speeds and levels of grain moisture at cutting upon brown-rice, milling, and head-rice recoveries were found statistically significant. No significant difference in these recovery rates was noticed regardless of whether the material was threshed right after cutting or after drying by the shocking operation. 2. For the Tongil-sister rice variety(Suweon 251), milling recovery for the varied drum-speed and the grain~moisture level at cutting was found statististically significant. Th milling recovery was much significant when associated with the wet-material thres\ulcornerhing compared to the dry-material threshing. 3. The optimum peripheral velocity to be maintained at the edge of teeth on the thr\ulcorneresher drum was determined and may be recommanded as that of about 12 to 13 meters per second in view of the maximum recovery rate of the milled rice. 4. The effect of the drum speed on the qualitative loss of the milled rice was much greater in the case of the Tongil variety than Japonica. This effect was also greater by the wet-material threshing than by the dry-material threshing. Therefore, to apply the wet-material threshing operation for the Tongil variety, in particular, it should be very important to introduce the kind of threshing technology which would maintain the drum speed at optimum. 5. A field survey for the actual drum speed of threshing operations for 50 threshers indicated that average peripheral velccity was 12.76m/sec., and that the range was from 10.50 to 14.90m/sec. Approximately, more than 30% of the experimented and measured threshers were being operated at speeds which exceeded the optimum speed determined and assessed in this study. Accordingly, it should be highly desirable and important to take counter-measures against these threshing practices of operational overspeed.

주석 함유 폐자원의 공정부산물 전처리 기술 (Development of Pre-treatment for Tin Recovery from Waste Resources)

  • Fundamental experiences have been studied for development of pre-treatment process of Sn by-products such as solders. Dry and wet separation/recovery processes were considered by the differences of physical properties. The by-products, which are analyzed by solder metal and oxides. The metal and oxide were simply separated by dry ball-milling process for 12 hours, after that recovery metal powder might be reusable as lead or lead-free solders. In terms of wet separation process, samples were dissolved in $HNO_3+H_2O_2$ and the precipitation were analyzed by $SnO_2$. Overall efficiency of recovery might be increasing via developing simple pre-treatment process.

  • High-speed machining generates concentrated Thermal/fractional damage at the cutting edge and rapidly decreases the tool life. This paper is aimed at improving the tool life using compressed chilly air. In this paper, the experiments were carried out in various cutting environments, such as dry, wet and compressed chilly air. Tool life were measured to evaluate machinability in high-speed milling of various materials. With respect to the cutting environment, compressed chilly air increased tool life. However, the wet condition decreased tool life due to the thermal shock caused by excessive cooling.

[ $(Th,U)O_2$ ] Pellets: Fabrication and Thermal Properties

  • Fabrication technique of $(Th,U)O_2$ pellets has been investigated. Powder mixtures of $ThO_2\;and\;UO_2$ were milled in two different ways-dry and wet milling. Milled powder was compacted and sintered to $(Th,U)O_2$ pellets. The wet-milled powder leads to a $(Th,U)O_2$ pellet having a high sintered density and uniform distribution of U and Th, compared to the dry-milled powder. The sintered density of a $(Th,U)O_2$ pellet tends to decrease by increasing the content of $ThO_2$. The thermal conductivity of $ThO_2\;and\;(Th,U)O_2$ pellets was measured by the laser flash method. The thermal conductivity of the $ThO_2$ pellet is higher than that of the $UO_2$ pellet, and the thermal conductivities of $(Th,U)O_2$ pellets containing $65wt\%\;and\;35wt\%\;ThO_2$ pellets are lower than that of the $UO_2$ pellet.

분쇄방법 및 품종에 따른 쌀 식빵의 품질특성 (Quality characteristics of rice bread with different cultivars and milling methods)

  • 본 연구에서는 건식 제분용 쌀 품종인 설갱과 일반 쌀 품종인삼광에 대한 건식 및 습식제분 쌀가루의 원료 특성을 비교하고 제빵 특성을 살펴보았다. 설갱 쌀가루의 조단백질과 조지방 함량이 각각 6.20%와 0.24%로 삼광에 비해 높았고, 아밀로스 함량은 18.81%로 낮았으며, 조단백질, 조지방, 아밀로스 함량 모두 건식 제분 시 습식제분보다 높았다. 손상녹말 함량 및 수분흡습지수는 건식제분이 습식제분에 비해 14.4% 및 2.46 g/g으로 높았고, 수분용해지수는 1.31 g/100 g으로 낮았으며, 품종에 따른 차이는 없었다. 녹말 형태는 삼광은 다각형 이었지만 설갱은 둥근 형태였으며, 습식제분 시 미세한 입자가 많았다. 제빵 시 비체적은 삼광 습식과 설갱 건식이 각각 2.90 및 2.86 mL/g으로 유사하였다. 구운 후 초기 경도는 삼광이 823.06 g 및 설갱이 597.29 g으로 설갱이 경도가 낮았고, 제분 방법에 따라서는 습식제분이 건식제분에 비해 낮았다. 건식제분 쌀가루 특성은 밀가루와는 차이가 있었지만 제빵 특성은 유사하게 나타났으며, 쌀가루 제조 시 건식제분에 적합한 설갱 품종이 제빵용으로 적합할 것으로 판단된다.

백미 제조방식에 따른 저장특성 (Storage characteristics of milled rice according to milling system types)

  • 본 연구는 제조방식별로 제조된 씻지 않는 쌀의 저장특성을 조사하기 위하여 최근 개발된 건식(DT), 반건식(SDT) 및 가수정미방식(WT)의 제조 시스템으로 공시재료를 조제한 후 저장기간과 저장온도에 따른 품질특성을 분석하여 수행하였다. 공시재료는 각각 백도가 41(DT1, SDT1, WT1)과 43(DT2, SDT2, WT2)의 두 가지 수준으로 조제하였으며, 저장기간은 약 12주이었고, 저장온도는 각각 10, 20 및 $30^{\circ}C$로 설정하였다. 저장기간 동안의 품질특성을 살펴본 결과 색도 b값과 지방산가는 점차 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으며, 백도, 함수율, 탁도, 건고물량 및 총균수는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 그러나 백도, 색도 b값, 탁도 및 건고물량은 저장초기인 1주차 이후부터는 변화가 적게 나타났다. 반면 함수율, 총균수, 지방산가는 제조방식보다 저장온도의 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 저장온도가 높을수록 함수율과 지방산가는 감소폭이 크게 나타났고, 총균수는 증가폭이 크게 나타났다. 또한 함수율, 탁도, 건고물량은 제조방식의 영향을 받아 가수정미방식으로 제조된 시료의 경우에는 각 항목의 초기값이 다른 제조방식과 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 가수정미방식으로 제조된 시료(WT1, WT2)의 초기함수율은 높게 나타났으며, 탁도 및 건고물량은 다른 제조방식의 시료보다 낮게 나타났으나, 저장기간이 경과함에 따른 감소폭은 비슷한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건식, 반건식 및 가수정미방식으로 제조한 백미는 저장온도와 저장기간이 증가할수록 저장성이 떨어지는 경향을 나타내었고, 특히 가수정미방식으로 제조된 시료는 초기 품질특성 중 함수율이 높게 나타나 저장중의 산패에 영향을 주는 지방산가가 증가하여 저장성이 낮은 것으로 판단되었다.

전고체전지용 황화물 고체전해질 습식 합성기술 동향 (A Review on the Wet Chemical Synthesis of Sulfide Solid Electrolytes for All-Solid-State Li Batteries)

  • 상용 리튬이온전지의 에너지밀도 한계와 안전성 이슈로 불연성 전고체전지 개발이 현안이 되고 있다. 특히, 전기자동차를 위한 차세대 이차전지에 황화물 고체전해질의 적용 가능성이 높아지면서, 고체전해질의 대량생산과 저가격화를 위한 노력 또한 활발해 진행되고 있다. 황화물 고체전해질에 관한 현재까지의 대부분의 연구에서는 조성 및 불순물 제어가 용이하고 균질화와 열처리 시간을 줄일 수 있는 고에너지 기계적 밀링법을 이용하여 열역학적으로 안정한 상 및 준-안정한 상에 대한 탐색을 수행해 왔다. 이를 통해 액체 전해질의 리튬이온전도도를 능가하는 다양한 황화물 고체전해질이 보고되어, 고에너지밀도 고안전성 전고체전지 구현에 대한 기대가 커지고 있다. 그러나, 고에너지 기계적 밀링법은 대량생산에 따른 동일 물성 획득이 쉽지 않고, 입도나 형상 제어가 용이하지 않으며, 분쇄-분급 과정에서 물성의 열화가 발생하는 단점이 알려져 있다. 이에 비해 대량생산과 저가격화에 유리한 습식 합성기술은 아직 다양한 고체전해질 제조에 응용되지는 못하고 있다. 습식 합성기술에서는 입자형, 용액형, 또는 혼합형으로 전구체를 합성하고 용매를 제거한 후 열처리하는 공정을 통해 제조하고 있으나, 전구체의 형성 메커니즘에 대한 명확한 규명도 아직 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 총설에서는 용매 내 원료들의 반응 메커니즘을 중심으로 한 황화물 고체전해질의 습식 합성기술 동향을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 참치 뼈로부터 추출한 hydroxyapatite[$Ca_{10}(PO_4)_6(OH)_2$]를 습식법으로 분쇄한 후 여러 온도로 고상반응시킨 세라믹 소결체의 특성을 고찰하였다. Hydroxyapatite소결체의 밀도는 $1350^{\circ}C$에서 약 $2.93g/cm^3$으로서 이론치의 $3.21g/cm^3$과 유사하였다. $1300^{\circ}C$ 이하의 소결온도에서는 hydroxyapatite가 결정상으로 나타났으며, 온도가 증가할수록 hydroxyapatite의 분해에 따른 whitlockite[$Ca_3(PO_4)_2$]의 결정상이 관찰되었다. 소결채의 미세구조는 발달된 입계들 사이에 폐기공들이 분포하였다. $1350^{\circ}C$의 소결시편 평균강도는 58MPa로 나타나 관절연골(articular cartilage)의 최대강도인 40MPa보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

Ag 또는 CuO를 코팅한 평판형 ZnO 분말의 합성 및 항균성 평가 (Preparation and Antibacterial Properties of the Planar-Type ZnO Powder Coated with Ag or CuO)

  • In the present work, planar-type ZnO powder of [0001] plane with a high aspect ratio range of 20:1 to 50:1 was synthesized. Ag or CuO could be coated on the planar-type ZnO powder by wet methods such as centrifugation or ball milling. During the coating, the average size of the powder was slightly increased while maintaining the shape and XRD pattern of ZnO. When Ag or CuO was coated, the absolute value of the zeta potential, as well as the concentration of oxygen vacancy, was increased. Ag or CuO coated planar-type ZnO power exhibited excellent antibacterial performance, which seems to be related to their high electrostatic attraction force. They could be made into a masterbatch by mixing with ABS resin, and their applicability to antibacterial substances was confirmed by manufacturing the caps of a keyboard.
