The purpose of this study was to ascertain the multiple mediating effect of mental health, which is composed of depression, disability acceptance, social-economic position, life satisfaction, on the relationship between disability discrimination and job satisfaction against wage earners with disabilities. A data of 992 wage earners with disabilities which derived from the fourth wave panel data provided at Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled were utilized. SPSS 20.0 and SPSS Indirect macro was conducted, and the results were verified by SPSS 20.0 and SPSS Indirect macro. The results were as follows : (1) Depression influenced between disability discrimination and job satisfaction directly or indirectly. (2) Disability acceptance mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. (3) Social-economic position mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. (4) Life satisfaction mediated between disability discrimination and job satisfaction. Based on the results, Based on the results, it suggested some methods of ascent of job satisfaction for wage earners with disabilities.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the association of functional disability, ego integrity and depressive symptoms, and analyze the mediating effect of ego integrity among the elderly, residing in the long-term care facilities. The data were collected by using non-random purposive and convenient sampling methods and 247 elderly who reside in the nursing home care, located in Daegu city and Kyungpook provinces participated in this study. Findings of this study indicates that there are statistically significant relationships among functional disability, ego integrity and depressive symptoms of participants. In addition, the mediating effect of ego integrity on the relationship between functional disability and depressive symptoms is statistically significant and shows partial mediating effect. Based on the findings of this study, possible practice implications for improving functional and mental health of the elderly in residential care home and recommendation for further study were provided.

In Korea, overseas adoption has been practiced for more than 50 years. Initially, overseas adoption began with the objective to provide permanent homes for Korean war orphans, including mixed-blood children. From 1953 to 2007, about 160,000 Korean children were placed worldwide through overseas adoption and approximately 70,000 children were adopted in Korea. During that period, Korea developed into one of leading industrial countries in the world and the family norms changed dramatically. Since 1989, the Korean government has made diverse efforts to increase domestic adoptions and to support adopted families through the revisions to Korea's Child Welfare Law. However, it is not enough to reduce overseas adoptions rapidly because the Korean government's economic support for adopted families is not adequate and Korean sentiments regarding adoption have not changed. Being an international adoptee is a unique experience, involving dissimilarities of race, ethnicity, and culture. Clearly, it is very important for us to focus on placing Korean children in the best possible environment. Therefore, Korea must make diverse efforts to reduce overseas adoptions and to encourage domestic adoption. First, Korean society has to try to reduce the number of children who need out-of-home care. Second, the Korean government and people should make an effort to increase domestic adoptions, including adoptions of disabled and older children. Finally, the Korean government and adoption agencies have to provide professional pre-adoption and post-adoption services for international adoptees and adoptive parents.

Bed for elderly and disabled, including the United States developed the industry Americas, and European countries, mainly in the production of products has dominated the world market. On the other hand, improvement of living standards of our country and to the advancement of residential culture of the demand for luxury products is increasing. The study of the elderly Edition mattresses have been developed mainly in Europe to maximize the use of sleep can increase the efficiency of products has been studied. Due to the increase in elderly population Elderly Hospital, which is installed in the elderly silver town Edition requires the dissemination of the mattress in the bedroom several times a day resting and sleeping, eating, etc. Designing a variety of actions are needed. Edition of the elderly in Korea developed the design of bed with bed design and the manufacturer and the Institute for Ergonomics, welfare agencies and to build organic cooperation system under the direction of a professional designer to develop and you need to configure the space and the results of such actions by the distribution of cheap materials, ergonomic mattress for optimal development of behavior analysis to the need to promote the convenience of the user.

Background: This study has conducted an experiment on 14 disabled hemiplegia (female) introduced from D rehabilitation welfare center, sorted out subjects who will enthusiastically and sincerely follow the experiment for 8 weeks (before-after), and grouped them into control group (7 people), and aquatic exercise program group (7 people). After researching the effect of application of exercise program to hemiplegia on physical function and length of lower limb, we have come to the following conclusion. In case of hemiplegia, we have concluded that aquatic exercise program can aid muscle strengthening and lower limb since aquatic exercise program activates physical function and deep muscle, showing a positive influence on muscular strength and flexibility, and a significant influence on balance of lower limb. This result is considered to make people recognize the importance of rehabilitation exercise when making a program for daily life activity, injury prevention, and treatment for hemiplegia, and we believe that such reference will be proposed as a theoretical basis for application of aquatic exercise program to hemiplegia, and further be a great aid to similar studies.

Ubiquitous computing environment means the computing environment that has taken its position so closely with the ordinary living so much like air or water. In building up the U-Korea, one of the important issues is the social issue from the drasticincrease of senior population. The contemporary society has its distinct trend in increase of senior household following the nuclear family orientation, increase of working parents with the advancement of women in society, unable to support seniors for long distance or short distance of business trip and other reasons that the need of senior welfare has been ever more felt. Accordingly, the Ministry of Government Affairs and Home Administration has developed the wireless paging system to make prompt response system for 119 Rescue when the single senior is encountered with emergency situation that is has been widely provided for the socially neglected people such as single senior, the disabled persons and others. Currently, the wireless paging system is operated as the sub-system for emergency rescue informationsystem, but due to the lack of reliability of product, problems of terminal portable transmitter, receptor and others, rejection of beneficiary and lack of knowledge in use, insufficient management and supervision of managing officers, the efficiency has been declined that there is a need of development for the system. Therefore, this study proposes the context aware information structure of the subject of ubiquitous wireless paging system required forthe development of the wireless paging system model of ubiquitous environment that improved the problems of currently operated wireless paging system.

This study examines the inconveniences and problems of established safety-equipment by investigating the actual conditions for elderly people who use welfare services such as wheel chairs provided by care institutions. Suggestions will be made on how to improve the function and convenience of use to suit the needs of the elderly and how to create beautiful wheel chair safety-wear. Medical treatment helpers for the elderly were surveyed about the wearing conditions of wheel chair safety equipment. The present wheel chair safety equipment was shown to be aesthetically unpleasant; in addition, feelings of restriction and unpleasantness were noted (concerning the wearing of the equipment). In addition, there was no feeling of fixed stability. The wheel chair safety-wear that has been designed reflects the inconveniences and problems of current wheel chair safety equipment in material, design, and patterns along with the results of those surveys. Both objective and subjective tests compared the manufactured safety-wear with current equipment. According to the results, the new safety-wear is superior than existing ones.

Background : In order to recognize the problems of current Korean physical therapy which does not conform to the current trend of modern society and to suggest improvement directions, we will establish a law for exclusive use of physical therapy that can guarantee the health rights of the people and contribute to the development of Korean physical. Methods : Korea's current physiotherapy system is compared with OECD member countries and WCPT member countries, and considering the expected effects and necessities that arise when the sole law is enacted, the sole law for the global trend is presented. Result : If the sole law is enacted and the physical therapist is treated solely, the effect is as follows. 1. Provision of high-quality physiotherapy services through establishment of physical therapy expertise 2. Convenient service provision 3. Reduced treatment costs due to reduced National Health Insurance fiscal expenditure 4. contributing to the improvement of medical welfare for the elderly and the disabled 5. Decreased unemployment rate due to job creation.

This study has been performed to review pre-school children's needs for privacy within normal residential space. In this study, there were three circumstances in which children need to stay alone without being interrupted by their parents; First, they strongly want to be stay quiet until relieving their anger or fear, shortly after disciplined and impugned by their parents. Second, infant children need to obtain their own territory in order to demonstrate ownership and dignity in their sley space. Third, there are also special circumstances of privacy needs among families with intrusive parents such as alcoholics and heavy smokers, or for the children of disability. In Korea, it is presumed that more than 60 percent the pre-school children aging three to six are in deficit of privacy for relieving their emotional disturbance, but no research has been documented for the case of disabled or interrupted children. Therefore in this study, it was primarily proposed that empirical studies need to be peformed among Korean preschoolers, in order to evaluate privacy needs in the perspectives of ordinary family lives, individual household behaviors, and special conditions of disability or offensive family members.

Importance of Web accessability for handicapped persons is ever increasing in the information society with increasing role of the Web. The Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites were compared with the school Web sites in order to figure out the realities of handicapped person related Web site's accessibilities. According to the experiment, the Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites got lower scores than general school Web sites. The research result shows that more improvement efforts for the Web accessibility of handicapped person related Web sites are required.
