온라인 소셜 네트워크에서 사용자 프로파일 기반의 모빙지수(Mobbing-Value) 알고리즘 (Mobbing-Value Algorithm based on User Profile in Online Social Network)

  • 집단 따돌림을 청소년 문제로 국한했던 것과는 달리 오늘날 직장 내 집단 따돌림은 커다란 문제로 대두되고 있다. 국제 노동기구(ILO)의 따돌림 관련 유수의 보고와 국내의 경우를 볼 때 직장 내 따돌림 경험 응답 비율이 9.1%('03)에서 30.7%('08)로 증가하고 있다. 이러한 따돌림은 개인적, 사회적으로 커다란 손실을 초래한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 사용자 프로파일을 통해 현재 Mobbing(집단 따돌림)1) 희생자뿐 만 아니라 잠정적인 Mobbing 희생자의 가능성을 파악하여 효율적인 인원관리가 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 Mobbing 현상에 관련된 사용자 프로파일 즉, 7개의 요소(Factor)와 그 하위에 포함된 50개의 속성(Attribute)들을 선정한다. 다음으로 선정한 속성들에 대해 나와 사용자들 사이에 관계가 있으면 ‘1', 관계가 없으면 ‘0'으로 표현한다. 그리고 나와 사용자들간의 유사도 산정을 위해 각 요소안에 포함된 속성들의 합에 유사도 함수를 적용한다. 다음으로 클레멘타인의 인공신경망 알고리즘을 통해 속성들이 포함된 요소가 취할 최적의 가중치를 산출하고, 이 값들의 총합으로 Mobbing 지수를 산정한다. 마지막으로 online social network 사용자들의 Mobbing 지수를 본 논문에서 설계한 G22) Mobbing 성향 분류 모델(4개의 그룹; Ideal Group of the online social network, Bullies, Aggressive victims, Victims)에 매핑하여 사용자들의 Mobbing 성향을 파악하고 이를 토대로 효율적인 인원관리에 기여할 수 있다.

수입침엽수(輸入針葉樹) 4수종(樹種)의 내후성(耐朽性) 및 CCA계(系) 목재방부제(木材防腐劑) 처리(處理)에 따른 방부효과(防腐效果) (Decay Resistance and Effectiveness of CCA Preservative against Decay on the 4 Imported Softwoods)

  • 시베리아 및 카나다산(産) 수입침엽수(輸入針葉樹) 4수종(樹種)에 대하여 고유(固有)의 내후성(耐朽性) 및 CCA계(系) 목재방부제(木材防腐劑) 최적처리량(最適處理量)을 검토하기 위하여 약액농도(藥液濃度)를 달리하여 처리(處理)한 후 수종별(樹種別) 약제흡수량(藥劑吸收量), 강제부후시험(强制腐朽試驗)에 의한 중량감소율(重量減少率), 주사전자현미경(走査電子顯微鏡) 관찰(觀察)에 의한 부후형태(腐朽形態) 등을 조사(調査)하였다. 수종별 약제흡수량(藥劑吸收量)은 카나다산(産) 수종(樹種)에 비하여 비중(比重)이 높고 연륜폭(年輪幅)이 좁은 시베리아산(産) 수종(樹種)이 적은 약제흡수량(藥劑吸收量)을 나타내었으며 무처리재(無l處理材)의 고유(固有)의 내후성(耐朽性)을 조사한 결과 갈색부후균(褐色腐朽均)인 부후개떡버섯에 비하여 자색부후(自色腐朽)균인 구름버섯에 대하여 낮은 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 수입침엽수(輸入針葉樹) 4수종(樹種)에 대한 CCA계(系) 목재방부제(木材防腐劑)의 최적(最適) 처리농도(處理濃度)는 효력치(效力値) 80(구름버섯) 및 90(부후개떡버섯)이상(以上)을 나타낸 0.7%가 적절한 것으로 판단되며 이때의 약제(藥劑) 흡수량(吸收量)은 $3.8-5.5kg/m^3$이었다. 부후형태(腐朽形態)를 관찰(觀察)한 결과 무처리재(無處理材)의 경우에는 가도관(假道官) 내강(內腔)에 균사(菌絲)가 침입(侵入)해 있고 가도관(假道官) 벽(壁)에 천공(穿孔)이 형성(形成)되었으며 유록벽공(有綠壁孔)의 벽공록(壁孔綠) 및 방사조직(放射組織)이 분해(分解)되어 고유(固有)의 형태(形態)를 상실(喪失)하였으나 농도(濃度) 0.5% CCA처리재(處理材)의 경우에는 거의 건전(健全)한 형태(形態)를 유지(維持)하고 있어 부후(腐朽)의 진행(進行)이 인정(認定)되지 않았다.

택사 butanol 분획물과 vitamin E의 투여가 streptozotocin 유발 당뇨 흰쥐의 혈당 및 혈장 지질수준에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Butanol Fraction of Alisma canaliculatum with Vitamin E on Plasma Levels of Glucose and Lipid in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats)

  • 본 연구는 220 g 내외의 흰쥐를 이용하여 정상군, 당뇨대조군, 택사투여군(Ac), 택사와 비타민 E 병용투여군(Ac-VE), 비타민 E투여군(VE)으로 구분하여 실험하였다. 21일간 택사의 BuOH 분획물(400 mg/kg B.W.)과 비타민 E(10 mg/kg B.W.)를 단독 혹은 병용투여한 후 혈당과 혈중 지질함량을 분석하였다. 정상군을 제외한 모든 실험군에서 체중이 감소하였으며, 당뇨대조군에 비해 당뇨 실험군의 체중은 높은 경향을 보였다. 혈당 수준은 택사 투여시 실험 21일째에 당뇨대조군에 비해 유의적으로 감소되었다(p<0.05). 인슐린수준은 당뇨유발군간의 유의적인 차이는 없었으나, Ac-VE투여군의 수치가 다른 군에 비해 높았다. 혈중 콜레스테롤 수준은 실험 14일째에는 당뇨대조군에 비해 모든 당뇨실험군이 유의적으로 낮았으며(p<0.05), 실험 21일째에는 Ac투여군에서 유의적으로 낮았다(p<0.05). HDL-cholesterol함량, 중성지방, 동맥경화지수 및 혈장 유리지방산의 수준은 유의적인 차이가 없었다. ALT 및 AST 활성도는 당뇨대조군에 비해 모든 당뇨실험군이 유의적으로 낮았다(p<0.05). 이 결과 택사 및 비타민 E의 투여가 실험 당뇨 쥐의 혈당 감소와 체중감소 완화, 간의 손상 감소에 효과가 있음을 보여주고 있다. 그러나 본 실험기간동안 택사와 비타민 E 병용투여시 상승효과는 보이지 않았다.

  • Trichloroethylene (TCE) is a toxic chemical commonly used as a degreasing agent, and it is usually found in a colorless or blue liquid form. TCE has a sweet, chloroform-like odor, and this volatile chlorinated organic chemical can cause toxic hepatitis, neurophysiological disorders, skin disorders, and hypersensitivity syndromes. However, the hypersensitivity pneumonitis (HP) attributed to TCE has rarely been reported. We hereby describe a case of HP associated with TCE in a 29-year-old man who was employed as a lead welder at a computer repair center. He was installing the capacitors on computer chip boards and had been wiped down with TCE. He was admitted to our hospital with complaints of dry coughs, night sweats, and weight losses for the past two months. HP due to TCE exposure was being suspected due to his occupational history, and the results of a video-associated thoracoscopic biopsy confirmed the suspicions. Symptoms have resolved after the steroid pulse therapy and his occupational change. TCE should be taken into consideration as a potential trigger of HP. Early recognition and avoidance of the TCE exposure in the future is important for the treatment of TCE induced HP.

Effect of keratinase on ileal amino acid digestibility in five feedstuffs fed to growing pigs

  • Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of keratinase (KE) on the apparent ileal digestibility (AID) and standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of amino acids (AA) in rice bran, cottonseed meal (CSM), rapeseed meal (RSM), corn distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS), and peanut meal (PNM). Methods: Twelve crossbred barrows (Duroc${\times}$Landrace${\times}$Yorkshire, $50.5{\pm}1.4kg$ body weight [BW]) fitted with T-cannulas at the terminal ileum were allotted to a $12{\times}6$ Youden Square design with 12 diets and 6 periods. The treatment diets included rice bran, CSM, RSM, corn DDGS, PNM, or corn-soybean meal (cSBM) supplemented with 0.05% KE or not. Diets were given to pigs at a level of 3% BW in two equal meals. The endogenous AA losses were the mean results of three previously experiments determined by a same nitrogen-free diet fed to pigs. Pigs had free access to water during the experiment. Results: The KE supplementation improved (p<0.05) the AID and SID of Met, Thr, Val, Asp, Cys, and Tyr in rice bran. Inclusion of KE increased (p<0.05) the AID and SID of Met and Val in CSM. The KE supplementation decreased (p<0.05) the AID and SID of His in RSM and all measured AA except for Arg, Met, Trp, Val, Gly, and Pro in corn DDGS. There was an increase (p<0.05) in AID and SID of Leu, Ile, Met, Ala, Cys, Ser, and Tyr in PNM supplemented with KE compared with that without KE. Inclusion of KE increased (p<0.05) the AID and SID of crude protein, Leu, Ile, Phe, Thr, Asp, and Ser in cSBM. Conclusion: This study indicated that KE had different effects on ileal AA digestibility of feedstuffs for growing pigs, which can give some usage directions of KE in swine feed containing those detected feedstuffs.

  • 콩의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 대기 중 아황산가스의 영향을 평가하고자 공업단지 주변에서 아황산가스의 농도 측정, 밭토양의 특성조사 및 콩의 생육 및 수량을 조사한 결과를 이용하여 콩의 생육기간중의 아황산가스의 등 농도곡선을 작성하고 이를 이용한 콩의 생육과 수량에 미치는 아황산가스의 영향과 토양 pH의 영향을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 조사지역의 콩의 주요 생육기간인 7월중순부터 9월중순까지의 아황산가스의 평균농도는 77mg /100$cm^2$ PbO$_2$/day였다. 2. 콩의 수량감소율은 5~30% 정도였으며, 7월중순부터 9월 중순까지의 아황산가스농도와 수량과는 유의 한 부의 상관관계 (r=-0.846**)를 보였다. 7월 16일부터 8월 9일까지의 아황산가스의 농도와 주당 협수 및 100립 중, 8월 9일부터 9월 17일까지의 아황산가스의 농도와 100립중과는 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 3. 조사지역의 토양 pH는 4.2~6.5였으며, 토양의 pH와 수량과는 正의 상관관계(r=0.813**)를 보였으며, 석회시용으로 토양 pH가 교정된 곳에서는 아황산가스에 의한 수량감소가 적었다. 4. 콩의 수량 형성에 미치는$SO_2$의 영향은 만성적, 누적 적으로 나타났고, 아황산가스의 등농도 곡선으로 콩의 수량감소 예측이 가능하였다.

Evaluation of Soil Streptomyces spp. for the Biological Control of Fusarium Wilt Disease and Growth Promotion in Tomato and Banana

  • Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (Fol) and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense (Foc), are the causal agent of Fusarium wilt disease of tomato and banana, respectively, and cause significant yield losses worldwide. A cost-effective measure, such as biological control agents, was used as an alternative method to control these pathogens. Therefore, in this study, six isolates of the Streptomyces-like colony were isolated from soils and their antagonistic activity against phytopathogenic fungi and plant growth-promoting (PGP) activity were assessed. The results showed that these isolates could inhibit the mycelial growth of Fol and Foc. Among them, isolate STRM304 showed the highest percentage of mycelial growth reduction and broad-spectrum antagonistic activity against all tested fungi. In the pot experiment study, the culture filtrate of isolates STRM103 and STRM104 significantly decreased disease severity and symptoms in Fol inoculated plants. Similarly, the culture filtrate of the STRM304 isolate significantly reduced the severity of the disease and symptoms of the disease in Foc inoculated plants. The PGP activity test presents PGP activities, such as indole acetic acid production, phosphate solubilization, starch hydrolysis, lignin hydrolysis, and cellulase activity. Interestingly, the application of the culture filtrate from all isolates increased the percentage of tomato seed germination and stimulated the growth of tomato plants and banana seedlings, increasing the elongation of the shoot and the root and shoot and root weight compared to the control treatment. Therefore, the isolate STRM103 and STRM104, and STRM304 could be used as biocontrol and PGP agents for tomato and banana, respectively, in sustainable agriculture.

Effect of Andrographis paniculata supplementation during the transition period on colostrum yield, immunoglobulin G, and postpartum complications in multiparous sows during tropical summer

  • Objective: This study evaluated the effect of Andrographis paniculata (A. paniculata) supplementation in sow diets before and after farrowing on the sow and piglets' performances during early postpartum period and on sows' backfat and longissimus muscle losses during lactation. Methods: Seventy Landrace×Yorkshire sows and their offspring (1,186 piglets) were distributed into three groups: control (n = 31), treatment-250 (n = 18), and treatment-1000 (n = 21). From 110.2±0.7 days of gestation until farrowing (5.8 days) and throughout the lactation period (25.2 days), sows in the control group were given the conventional lactation diet, while sows in the treatment-250 and treatment-1000 groups received supplements of 250 ppm and 1,000 ppm of A. paniculata, respectively. Results: In sows with parity 3-5, piglets from the treatment-1000 group had higher colostrum intake than the control and treatment-250 groups (p<0.05), but not in sows with parity 6-9. Colostrum immunoglobulin G (IgG) increased in treated sows versus controls for parity 6-9 (p<0.05), but was consistent for parity 3-5. Piglet performance until day 3 postnatal was similar across groups (p>0.05). Treatment-250 sows had higher feed intake post-farrowing than treatment-1000 sows (p<0.05). Longissimus loss was less in both treatment groups than control (p<0.05), but backfat loss was similar across groups (p>0.05). Post-partum complications were consistent across groups (p>0.05). Farrowing duration and piglet birth intervals in sows with parity 6-9 were prolonged in the treatment-1000 group. Conclusion: Supplementing with 1,000 ppm A. paniculata for 5.8 days pre-farrowing and 25.2 days post-farrowing enhanced sow colostrum IgG and piglet colostrum intake, while also reducing longissimus loss in sows. However, for sows of parity 6-9, this supplementation led to prolonged farrowing, increased intervals between piglet births, increased stillbirth, and reduced piglet birth weight. These effects should be considered when using A. paniculata supplementation.

지속성복막투석 환자의 영양상태에 관한 연구 (Nutritional Status of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis Patients)

  • Dialysis patients are at risk of malnutrition not only because of losses of nutrients during peritoneal dialysis but also because of anorexia that results in inadequate nutrient intakes. The aim of this study was to estimate the nutritional status of 154 patients receiving continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), especially focused on protein-energy malnutrition and vitamin and mineral status. The mean age of the subjects was $5.12\;{\pm}\;12.4\;y$ with educational years of $12.3\;{\pm}\;0.4\;y$ for male and $9.6\;{\pm}\;0.4\;y$ for female. The mean duration of dialysis was $22.7\;{\pm}\;21.7\;mo$. The causes of renal failure included diabetes (32.7), chronic glomerulonephritis (15.0%), and hypertension (8.5%). The main complications associated with chronic renal failure were hypertension (86.1%), diabetes (35.4%) and liver disease (9.0%). The mean daily energy intake was $1216.8\;{\pm}\;457.3\;kcal$ and increased to $1509.2\;{\pm}\;457.2\;kcal$ when added with the energy from dextrose in dialysate. The latter was still much lower than estimated energy requirement but energy intake per kg of body weight (28.1 kcal/1 g) was within the range of that recommended for CAPD patients' diet therapy (25 - 30 kcal/kg). The average daily intake of protein was $49.2\;{\pm}\;25.1\;g$ with 37.6% of the patients showing their intakes less than Estimated Average Requirement. The average protein intake per kg of weight was 0.9 g/kg, which is less than that recommended for CAPD patients (1.2-1.5g/kg) with mean serum albumin level $3.2\;{\pm}\;0.5\;g/dl$. The proportion of the patients with dietary calcium intake less than EAR was 90.9%, but when added with supplementary calcium (phosphorus binder), most patients showed their total calcium intake between EAR and UL. Fifty percent of the patients were observed with dietary iron intake less than EAR, however most patients revealed their total iron intake with supplementation above UL. The addition of folic acid with supplementation increased mean total folic intake to $1126.0\;{\pm}\;152.4\;{\mu}g$ and ninety eight percent of the subjects showed their total folic acid intake above UL. The prevalence of anemia was 83.1 % assessed with hemoglobin level, even with high intakes of iron with supplementation. Thirty four percent of the patients showed their fasting blood glucose was not under control $(\geq\;126\;mg/dl)$ even with medication or insulin probably due to dextrose from dialysate. The mean blood lipid levels were within the reference levels of hyperlipidemia, but with 72.1 % of the patients showing lower HDL-C. In conclusion, Fairly large proportion of the patients were observed with protein malnutrition with low intake of protein and serum albumin level. Few patients showed their vitamins and minerals intake less than EAR with supplementation. For iron and folic acid, their intakes were increased to above UL for large proportion of he patients. However, more than eighty percent of the patients were still anemic associated with decreased renal function. The serum blood glucose and lipid level were not under control for some patients with medication. It seems that supplementation and medications that patients are taking should be considered for dietary consulting of CAPD patients.

Effects of Single Cell Protein Replacing Fish Meal in Diet on Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility and Intestinal Morphology in Weaned Pigs

  • Three experiments were conducted to evaluate the ME value, standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of amino acids (AA) of fish meal, and the effects of single cell protein (Prosin and Protide) replacing fish meal in diet on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and intestinal morphology in weaned piglets. In Exp. 1, twenty-four barrows with initial BW of $30.8{\times}2.6kg$ were allotted to one of four dietary treatments. Diet 1 contained corn as the only energy source. The other three diets replaced 20% of the corn in diet 1 with one of the three protein feeds (fish meal, Prosin and Protide), and the DE and ME contents were determined by difference. In Exp. 2, eight barrows (initial BW of $25.6{\pm}3.2kg$) were fitted with ileal T-cannulas and allotted to a replicated $4{\times}4$ Latin square design. Three cornstarch-based diets were formulated using each of the protein feeds as the sole source of AA. A nitrogen-free diet was also formulated to measure endogenous losses of AA. In Exp. 3, one hundred and eighty piglets (initial BW of $7.95{\pm}1.59kg$) weaned at $28{\times}2d$ were blocked by weight and assigned to one of five treatments for a 28-d growth performance study, each treatment was fed to six pens with six pigs (three barrows and three gilts) per pen. The five treatments consisted of the control group (CON), which was a corn-soybean meal diet containing 5% fish meal, and the other four treatments, which replaced a set amount of fish meal with either Prosin (2.5% or 5%) or Protide (2.5% or 5%). The diets were formulated to provide same nutrient levels. The results showed that on a DM basis, both of the DE and ME contents were lower in Prosin and Protide than that of fish meal (p<0.05). The SID of CP and all essential AA were greater in fish meal than in Prosin and Protide (p<0.05). The pigs fed CON diet had greater weight gain and lower feed conversion rate (FCR) than pigs fed 5% Prosin and 5% Protide diets (p<0.05). The digestibility of CP was greater in pigs fed CON, 2.5% Prosin and 2.5% Protide diets than the pigs fed 5% Prosin and 5% Protide diets (p<0.05). Villus height in jejunum and ileum, and villus height to crypt depth ratio in the jejunum were higher (p<0.05) in pigs fed CON, 2.5% Prosin and 2.5% Protide diets compared with the 5% Prosin and 5% Protide diets. Pigs fed CON diet had greater villus height to crypt depth ratio in the ileum than the pigs fed 5% Prosin and 5% Protide diets (p<0.05). In conclusion, although Prosin and Protide contained lower ME content and SID of AA than fish meal, Prosin and Protide replacing 50% of fish meal in diet with identical nutrient levels could obtain similar performance, nutrient digestibility and intestinal morphology in weaned pigs.
