젖소 체중측정을 위한 영상처리 시스템 (An Image Processing System for Measuring the Weight of A Dairy Cattle)

  • 본 연구는 영상처리를 통한 보다 간편하고 정확한 젖소의 체중측정을 위해 수행되었다. 카메라와 개인용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 젖소의 영상을 받은 후 이의 화소 값들을 이용하였으며, 또한 여러 가지 방법으로 체중과의 관계를 회귀분석 방법을 하였다. 1. 본 실험의 결과 다중회귀식에 의한 계산체중, 화소표면적, 부피와 체증과의 상관계수는 각각 0.9424, 0.9439, 0.9651로 나타났으며, 젖소의 체중과 상관관계도가 높았다. 2. 실험에 이용된 젖소의 개체수를 50두이었지만, 각각 상태별 체형의 차이고 인하여 일관된 회귀식을 적용하기에는 정확도 문제에서 다소 문제가 있었다. 그래서 각 개체군으로 나누어서 연구할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단되었다. 3. 젖소의 체중 계측시간은 10초에 불과하지만 실험장치까지의 유도과정은 편균 한 마리에 10분 정도가 소요되었다.

A Conceptual Design of HAUSAT-1(CubeSat) Satellite

  • This paper addresses the conceptual design results of the HAUSAT-1 (Hankuk Aviation University SATellite-1), developed by Space System Research Lab. of Hankuk Aviation Univ., which is a new generation picosatellite. This project has been funded by Korean Government for the purpose of developing the space core technology. This is the first attempt at the level of university in Korea to develop the satellite weighing less than 1kg and accelerates opportunities with low construction, low launch cost space experiment platforms. The purpose of the HAUSAT-1 project is to offer graduate and undergraduate students great opportunities to be able to understand the design process of satellite development as a team member. Its mission objectives are to track its position by the GPS receiver system, to deploy the thin film solar cell panel to generate extra power, and to measure plasma density and temperature with the plasma sensor. The HAUSAT-1 will orbit at the altitude of 650 km with 65 degree inclination angle with 12 months of design mission life. It is planned to be launched on November 2003 by Russian launch vehicle "Dnepr".

전자파 조사 흰쥐 간조직의 Mixed Function Oxidase System과 산화적 손상에 미치는 Catechin의 영향 (Effects of Catechin on Mixed Function Oxidase System and Oxidative Damage in Rat Liver Exposed to Microwave)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of catechin on the changes of microsomal mixed function oxidase(MFO) system and oxidative damage in rat liver exposed to microwave. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 200$\pm$10g body weight were randomly assigned to one normal and microwave exposed groups: microwave exposed groups were divided three groups: catechin free diet(MW) group, 0.25% catechin(MW+0.25C) group and 0.5% catechin(MW+0.5C) group to the levels of dietary catechin supplementation. The rats were irradiated with microwave at frequency 2.45GHz for 15 min and then the changes pattern of mixed function oxidase system and oxidative damage were investigated for 16 days. The activity of XOD in MW group was increased from 4 day to 8 days after irradiation, compared to normal group and decreased to the level of normal group 16 days. But catechin supplementation group were maintained to the normal level. The contents of cytochrome P(sub)450 and NADPH cytochrome P(sub)450 reductase activities in liver of MW group was increased from 4 day to 8 day after irradiation, compared to normal group and decreased to the level of normal group at 16 day. But catechin supplementation group were recovered to the normal level. The contents of superoxide radical in liver of MW group was increased 1.28, 1.25, 1.17 fold of normal group at 4,6 and 8 days days after irradiation. respectively, but catechin supplementation group were maintained the normal level. The contents of lipifuscin in liver have a same tendency in superoxide radical contents. These result suggested that the supplementation of catechin have control the mixed function oxidase system and oxidative damage and that may help to recover tissues from microwave damage. 대학 교양교육에서 단위변환에 대한 교육 방향 제시 (A Guide to Education on Unit Transformation in University Liberal Arts Education)

  • After the SI system of units was adopted as an international system of units, Korea made a lot of efforts such as administrative and educational guidance on the traditional units that had been used so far. In addition, from July 1, 2007, the government has cracked down on the denotation of non-statutory units of measurement as standard units or auxiliary units in commercial transactions. However, non-statutory weighing units are still used in other forms. It is believed that this is because non-statutory units (= our traditional units) are permeated in our lives and are convenient to use. The general public still finds it difficult to use and mark the SI system of units correctly. This is not a problem unique to Korea. However, if you look at the books that are currently used as university physics textbooks, the SI system of units and the non-legal units of other countries are marked in such a way that they can be accurately converted. Only the traditional units of our country are disappearing under the pretext of unit unification. Accordingly, we propose that our units should not be neglected in university education, but should be labeled together. The purpose of this study is to raise the necessity of reorganizing the unit conversion between the SI unit system and the traditional life improvement unit, which continues to be the convenience of life, and applying it in university physics education to enable the conversion with our traditional unit, and to educate the importance of the meaning and function of our traditional unit.

챗봇 형태로 구현한 사용자 맞춤형 레시피 추천 시스템 (Customized Recipe Recommendation System Implemented in the form of a Chatbot)

  • 음식의 레시피에 대한 관심도가 높아지고 있는 요즘 대부분의 레시피 검색 시스템들은 요리명, 또는 음식 재료명으로 검색하는 정도로 구현이 되어 있으며, 레시피마다 상이한 계량 단위로 식재료의 양에 대한 정보를 제공하기 때문에 자신이 원하는 인분에 맞춰 식재료의 양을 다시 계산해야 하는 불편함이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 불편 사항을 해결하고 메신저 대화에 익숙한 사용자들에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하기 위해 챗봇 형태의 사용자 맞춤형 레시피 추천 시스템을 구현하였다. 레시피에 대한 사용자의 리뷰와 별점, 조회 수 등을 기반으로 인기 있는 레시피들을 선별하고 전처리를 통해 해당 레시피별로 주요 단어와 식재료 양, 조리 순서 등 필요한 정보들만을 추출, 가공한 뒤, 그를 통해 얻은 약 10만 개의 데이터를 기반으로 사용자가 입력한 레시피명, 식재료명, 제외할 식재료명 등을 분석해 레시피를 필터링하고, 사용자가 입력한 인분을 기준으로 재계량하여 레시피를 추천하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 사용자의 요구에 따른 레시피 추천 결과물에 대한 만족도를 평가하여 90.5%의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

식이 Vitamin E가 Streptozotocin 유발 당뇨쥐 신장조직에서의 Microsomal Mixed Function Oxidase System에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Vitamin E on the Microsomal Mixed Function Oxidase System of Kidney in Streptozotocin-induced Diabetic Rats)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of vitamin E on microsomal mixed function oxidase system of kidney in streptozotocin(STZ) induced diabetic rats. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 140$\pm$10g were randomly assigned to one control and three STZ-diabetic groups which were subdivided into vitamin E free diet(DM-0E group) 40mg vitamin E per kg diet(DM-40E group) and 400mg vitamin E per kg diet(DM-400E group). Vitamin E level of normal group was 40 mg per kg diet. Diabetes was experimentally induced by intravenous administration of 55 mg/kg B.W of STZ in citrate buffer(pH4.3) after 4 weeks feeding of experimental diets. Animals were sacrificed at the 6th day of diabetic state. The contents of cytochrome P450 in kidney were increased by 82, 54, 41% in DM-0E, DM-40E and DM-400E groups respectively when compared with normal group. The contents of cytochrome b5 in kidney were increased by 28% in DM-0E when compared with normal group but those of DM-40E and DM-400E groups were similar to that of normal group. The activities of NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase in kidney that were increased by 35% in DM-0E group. Levels of TBARS(thiobarbituric acid reactive substance) in kidney were increased by 207, 129% and 72% in DM-0E and DM-400E groups respectively when compared with normal group but those of DM-40E and DM-400E groups were 26,44% lower than that of DM-0E groups. It is know that the activities of MFO system and lipid peroxidation were inhibited in kidney of STZ-induced diabetic rat by administeration of high doses of vitamin E.(Korean J Nutrition 33(6) : 619~624, 2000)

  • 마이크로컴퓨터를 식품가공 공정및 연구에서 자료수집및 제어에 응용하기 위하여 Apple ll 컴퓨터에 접속가능한 접속장치(接續裝置)를 설계 제작하였다. 또한 식품의 여러 공정에 주요한 변수가 되는 온도 및 무게값을 전기적 신호로 감지하는 센서와 A/D변환기(變換器)의 적정 입력전압범위 전환을 위한 증폭회로를 구성하였다. 이들을 연결시켜 필요한 BASIC어(語) 프로그램을 작성하여 식품건조 장치의 온도및 무게값의 측정장치로 활용 가능함을 보였다. 컴퓨터를 응용함으로써 공정자료의 정확성과 신뢰성을 향상시키고 여러가지 공정변수를 다량 수집할 수 있게되고 수집된 많은 자료를 용이하게 저장, 분석할 수 있었다. 본 실험장치에 여러가지 목적에 따라 필요한 측정 센서를 개발하여 부착(附着)함으로 비단 온도와 무게 측정뿐 아니라 제반(諸般)식품(食品)제조 공정과 실험의 자동화에 활용할 수 있는 기초적인 자료를 얻었다.

Development of a smart rain gauge system for continuous and accurate observations of light and heavy rainfall

  • Improvement of old-fashioned rain gauge systems for automatic, timely, continuous, and accurate precipitation observation is highly essential for weather/climate prediction and natural hazards early warning, since the occurrence frequency and intensity of heavy and extreme precipitation events (especially floods) are recently getting more increase and severe worldwide due to climate change. Although rain gauge accuracy of 0.1 mm is recommended by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the traditional rain gauges in both weighting and tipping bucket types are often unable to meet that demand due to several existing technical limitations together with higher production and maintenance costs. Therefore, we aim to introduce a newly developed and cost-effective hybrid rain gauge system at 0.1 mm accuracy that combines advantages of weighting and tipping bucket types for continuous, automatic, and accurate precipitation observation, where the errors from long-term load cells and external environmental sources (e.g., winds) can be removed via an automatic drainage system and artificial intelligence-based data quality control procedure. Our rain gauge system consists of an instrument unit for measuring precipitation, a communication unit for transmitting and receiving measured precipitation signals, and a database unit for storing, processing, and analyzing precipitation data. This newly developed rain gauge was designed according to the weather instrument criteria, where precipitation amounts filled into the tipping bucket are measured considering the receiver's diameter, the maximum measurement of precipitation, drainage time, and the conductivity marking. Moreover, it is also designed to transmit the measured precipitation data stored in the PCB through RS232, RS485, and TCP/IP, together with connecting to the data logger to enable data collection and analysis based on user needs. Preliminary results from a comparison with an existing 1.0-mm tipping bucket rain gauge indicated that our developed rain gauge has an excellent performance in continuous precipitation observation with higher measurement accuracy, more correct precipitation days observed (120 days), and a lower error of roughly 27 mm occurred during the measurement period.

작약(Paeonia Lactiflora Pall.)씨 추출물이 고콜레스테롤 식이 흰쥐 간조직의 항상화계와 지질과산화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Seeds Extract of Paeonia Lactiflora on Antioxidative System and Lipid Peroxidation of Liver in Rats Fed High-Cholesterol Diet)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidative effects of Paeonia lactiflora (PL) seeds on antioxidative defense system and lipid peroxidation of liver in rats fed high-cholesterol diet. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 100 $\pm$10g were randomly assigned into five experimental groups fed 0.5% cholesterol ; HC group which was not supplemented PL seeds extract, 0.1% methanol extract diet group (MP1 group), 0.2% methanol extract diet group (MP2 group), 0.05% ether-souble fraction diet group (EP1 group) and 0.1 % ether-souble fraction diet group (EP2 group). Experimental diets were fed ad libitum to the rats for 3 weeks. The activity of hepatic superoxide dismutase (SOD) was not significantly different among all the high cholesterol diet groups. The hepatic glutathione peroxidase (GSHpx) activity in MP2 group was increased to 27% compared to HC group. The activity of hepatic catalase (CAT) was not significantly different among the all high cholesterol diet groups. The hepatic glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity in the EP1 and EP2 groups were increased to 12% and 13%, respectively, as compared to HC group. The levels of hepatic TBARS in the MP1, MP2, EP1 and EP2 groups were reduced by 18%, 21%, 20% and 23%, respectively, as compared with HC group. The contents of lipofuscin in liver was not significantly different among all the experimental groups. The results indicated that PL seeds extract may be reduced oxidative damage by activating antioxidative defense system of hepatic in rats fed high-cholesterol diets. 식이 Vitamin E가 급성 카드뮴중독 흰쥐 간조직의 항산화계에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Vitamin E on Antioxidative Defense System of Liver in Acute Cadmium-Poisoned Rats)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of vitamin E on antioxidative defense system of liver in acute cadmium poisoned rats. Sprague-Dawley male rats weighing 100$\pm$10gm were randomly assigned to one control and three cadmium injected groups. Cadmium injected groups were fed vitamin E free diet(OE-Cd group), 40mg vitamin E per kg diet(40E-Cd group) or 400 mg vitamin E per kg diet(400E-Cd group). Vitamin E level of normal group was 40mg per kg diet. Animals were injected intraperitoneally with 2.0mg Cd$^2$$\^$+//kg bw for 4 days after the rats were fed diets with three different levels of vitamin E for 2 and 4weeks. Activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD), glutathione peroxidase(GSHPx) and glutathione S-transferase(GST) were decreased in cadmium injected groups but those were significantly improved by dietary vitamin I supplementations. Vitamin E contents reduced glutathione(GSH) in the live were decreased in cadmium injected groups, but we., not significantly different among three groups with different levels of vitamin E supplementations. Contents of liver thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) of 0E-Cd group were higher than those of 400E-Cd and 400E-Cd groups, but those were markedly alleviated according to vitamin E supplementations. These results indicate that cadmium poisoning in rats causes decreasing antioxidative defense system and increasing peroxidative damage in liver, however can be restored by vitamin E supplements.
