  • In order to assess the reliability of the exhaust bellows for automobiles, accelerated life test model and procedure are developed. By using this method, failure mechanism and life distribution are analyzed. The main results are as follows; i) the main failure mechanism is crack or breakage of inner flexible tube by shaken displacement at shear direction. ii) temperature is a second factor to affect a failure. iii) the life distribution of exhaust bellows is fitted well to Weibull life distribution and the shape parameter is 13.3 on condition of shaken displacement and $600^{\circ}C$

  • For the three parameter Weibull distribution, the parameter estimation techniques are applied and the asymptotic variances of the quantile to obtain the confidence limits for a given return period are derived. Three estimation techniques are used for these purposes: the methods of moments, maximum likelihood and probability weighted moments. The three parameter Weibull distribution as a flood frequency model is applied to actual flood data.

  • In this paper, we study the estimation of system reliability for the parallel system based on Spurrier and Weier [9] bivariate Weibul distribution. We assume that when one component fails, the workload of the remaining component becomes proportional to Øλ, where Ø〉λ 0. We obtain the maximum likelihood estimators for the parameters of system reliability, and by using the numerical method, study the effects of reliability for the Parallel system.

  • A Statistical methods are used to determine the reliability of a Fuel Boost Pump for aviation. Failures are referenced from failure reports. The failure-free periods between successive failure events are evaluated in the form of weibull distribution. The results of analysis were calculated shape factor, scale parameter and mean time to failure. It found that the reason of failure is wear-out period.

  • Clarify wind energy productivity depends on three factors: the wind probability density function(PDF), the turbine's power curve, and the air density. The wind PDF gives the probability that a variable will take on the wind speed value. Wind shear refers to the change in wind speed with height above ground. The wind speed tends to increase with the height above ground. also, Wind PDF refers to the change with height above ground. Wind analysts typically use the Weibull distribution to characterize the breadth of the distribution of wind speeds. The Weibull distribution has the two-parameter: the scale factor c and the shape factor k. We can use a linear least squares algorithm(or Ln-least method) and moment method to fit a Weibull distribution to measured wind speed data which data was located same site and different height. In this study, find that the scale factor is related to the average wind speed than the shape factor. and also different types of terrain are characterized by different the scale factor slop with height above ground. The gross turbine power output (before accounting for losses) was caculated the power curve whose corresponding air density is closest to the air density. and air desity was choose two way. one is the pressure of the International Standard Atmosphere up to an elevation, the other is the measured air pressure and temperature to calculate the air density. and then each power output was compared.
