  • As the Internet is used as a major channel for marketing and sales, the top ranking of search engine results is becoming a key competitor among websites. Various methods exist to maintain the top ranking of websites in search engines, typically investing heavily in organic coding or search engine optimization. The purpose of this paper, we present the ranking by recognizing factors that should be removed as negative factors when designing a web page in consideration of website visibility (SEO) because if website visibility is not met, the ranking may fall behind or be completely removed from the search engine index. The experiments that recognized and ranked the negative factors of website visibility proposed in this paper were provided through theory and experiments based on the existing website visibility analysis model. The models analyzed in this paper, we expressed or quantified as scores based on the methodology of each model, and 10 items were selected as negative factors through experiments and ranked as high scores. Therefore, when designing a website, it should be considered that the website is not removed from the search engine index as it is designed by excluding high-ranking items, which are negative factors.

  • The Internet has become a major channel of business marketing and sales, and there is a core competitive object between websites for a high position ranking in search engine results. There are various ways to maintain the high position ranking of website involving the development of componental coding or the expensive investment for the search engine optimization. The purpose of this paper is proposed to identify and rank the negative elements of website visibility to get rid of those elements when website designer designs the webpage. Website can be removed from indices of search engines when they are not satisfied for search engine optimization. The proposed experiments that are identified and ranked the negative elements of website visibility in this paper are based on the theories and experiments of existing website visibility models. The experimental analyses in this paper are scored and normalized based on methodologies of those models and 10 highest negative elements are ranked through the analyses. Therefore when website is designed, these highest negative elements should be avoided so website can not be removed in the indices of search engines.

  • Background: Health information should be accurate and of high quality. While search websites are widely used to obtain health information, search results can vary depending on the availability of information in each language and the algorithms of search websites. We compared the search results and their reliability on popular search websites in Korea and the United States. Methods: Using the most popular search websites in Korea (A) and the US (B), with B divided into KR and US domains, we evaluated the search results for three diseases (hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis) and two medications (Lipitor, Norvasc). We compared the proportion of paid ads and website categories, as well as quality and accuracy using a validated scoring tool. Results: Search website A had a high proportion of paid ads (40.3%), compared to B KR (4.3%) and B US (0%). B US had the highest proportion of reliable websites (58.1%), followed by B KR (52.9%) and A (14.6%). B US had the highest median quality score (25) while A had the lowest (14). Additionally, B US had the highest accuracy (95%), followed by B KR (87.7%) and A (52.2%). Conclusions: Our data suggest that health information provided by popular search website in Korea is inaccurate and of low quality compared with that provided by its counterpart in the US. Users should prioritize credible websites, be cautious of ads, and seek professional advice. In addition, joint efforts from the government, search websites, and healthcare professionals are needed to provide accurate online health information.

  • Archives should provide a web-based archival information service with good usability based on the understanding of users' needs. Thus, this study analyzed the usability of the National Archives of Korea (NAK) website's search service through expert and usability evaluations for various users and suggested improvement plans. A literature review, heuristic evaluation, one of the usability expert evaluation methods, and usability evaluation for users were performed. As a result of expert evaluation, the severity rating for the usability problem was highest regarding a match between the system and real world and the lowest in error prevention. In the usability evaluation, it was assumed that the user's background and whether the website's help was provided is associated with usability. Usability evaluation was conducted for 22 participants, including those majoring in records management, web/application developers, and people without such backgrounds. Furthermore, a presurvey, a five-second test, and search tasks were conducted in a row. The analysis based on usability components in ISO 9241-11: 2018, i.e., effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction, showed that web/application developers had the highest search effectiveness, and those majoring in records management showed high effectiveness only in the search for archival content services. Background factors did not affect efficiency, and the more familiar with the finding aids, the better the efficiency. Moreover, providing the website's help was found to be positively associated with effectiveness and satisfaction. This study suggests that the NAK website will offer a user-friendly interface and search function, expand help support, and display a consistent web interface.

  • In the past days, most of studies about website and Online behavior have been mainly focused on the adoption of website and internet shopping or internet shopping mall. But the model of website revisit behavior has not been made and the leading theory of website usage behavior has not been existed. Lately, many researches on commercial website revisiting behavior are emphasizing the role of intention, attitude, satisfaction in online visiting behavior such as Jarvenpaa et al. [1997, 1999, 2000], Wang et al. [2001], Moon & Kim [2001], Heijden[2003], Sultan et al. [2002], Yoon [2000], Shankar et al. [2002a, 2002b], Mcknight et al. [2002], Chen & Dhillon [2003] and so on. The purpose of this paper is two-folds. The one is to find the affecting factors on the website users' revisit behavior in commercial website and the other is to search more influencing ones on the determinant factors, to analyze research model using in LISREL. The EFA and reliability test was executed by for finding the validity and reliability, covariance matrix analysis was executed for the purpose of testing the 13 hypotheses. The major finding of this paper would be summarized as followed : (1) The roles of satisfaction and attitude to the revisit behavior are very important and both variables have determining effects in commercial website revisit behavior. (2) The determining factors in positively affecting website users' satisfaction are attitude, perceived usefulness, design. (3) The determining factors in positively affecting website users' attitude are perceived usefulness, design, perceived ease of use, and negatively affecting factor was perceived risk in website.
