A Study on Usability Evaluation for Improving Quality of User Services in CNU Digital Library Website (이용자 서비스의 품질 향상을 위한 웹사이트 사용성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to evaluate the usability of XML-based Chungnam National University Digital Library Website. Usability testing are used three method, that is Log File Analysis, Online Questionnaire and Heuristic Evaluation. Log files are analyzed in using WiseLog Enterprise and Hit Analyzer for Enterprise jx 1.5 Beta Version and total 21 items are analyzed and evaluated in using online questionnaire method and heuristic evaluation is inquired by experts of web and information retrieval fields. Finally this paper was suggested some problems and improvements to advance quality of user services in university digital library website in korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a model for a medical information website for public library use. Applying the six processes of website development - planning, analysis, design implementation, promotion, and innovation as a research methodology, seven medical information websites are analyzed. The evaluating criteria includes interface layout, contents, function aspects. Based on the results, a medical information website is implemented. This developing methodology will help nonprofessionals in the medical information area understand interface and domain Information.

The Effect of Website Characteristics and Online Service Quality of Kidult Online Shopping Mall on The Reliability and Repurchase Intention (키덜트 전문 쇼핑몰의 사이트 특성과 온라인 서비스 품질이 신뢰 및 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of characteristics of the online shopping mall website and the service quality factors required on the online service on the reliability and repurchase intention. Through this, the key customer response service and operation management strategy can be proposed for the growth of kidult online shopping mall which is continuously spreading. Also, implications for development direction can be suggested. For this purpose, the ES-QUAL and E-Rec-S-QUAL factors proposed by Parasuraman et al.(2005) were set as independent variables, as well as professionalism, diversity, playfulness, and personalization, and website reliability as a mediating factor, and repurchase intention as a dependent variable. For the analysis, a structured questionnaires survey was conducted to 200 domestic online shopping mall users. The main results are as follows. First, the professionalism, personalization in the characteristics, and service quality factors had positive effects on website reliability. Second, playfulness, personalization in the characteristics, and service quality factors had positive effects on repurchase intention. Third, website reliability had a positive effect on repurchase intention. Fourth, website reliability was found to mediate the relationship between predictive (independent) variables and dependent variables. The above results show that if a professional online shopping mall is equipped with online service quality and establish personalization through enhancing the professionalism, the online shopping mall can form a website reliability and expect to build continuous relationship with customers. In addition, implications can be suggested for future customer response service and operation management strategies.

  • Electronic commerce has provided another access for consumers to purchase products, but some researches have pointed out that there are difficulties for companies to do business on web. For lack of trust, many people not prefer purchasing through virtual channels. Based on the literature review, this study aims at empirically testing the impact of website design on individual trust in internet firms. From statistic analysis, we will conclude that security, interaction, and navigation functionality will affect on-line trust.

  • The most important instrument to declare oneself publicly in cyberspace is to use a homepage or website. Nowadays most of Korean as well as overseas art museums have their own websites, through which they provide consumers with essential information and strive to declare themselves publicly in cyberspace. A homepage is composed of various components and the most crucial component is the interface. The objective of this paper is to present a proposal to help get a program for efficient website management and consumer satisfaction.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the website-based program for individual meal planning. The program consisted of the basic information of clients, dietary habits, analysis of nutrient intakes and menu planning. The first part of the program consisted of general information such as general characteristics and anthropometric data of clients. The second part was designed to investigate the dietary habits, food intake frequency, nutrition knowledge, and drinking and smoking habits of the clients. The third part consisted of analysis of nutrient intakes including three major nutrients, calorie intake by foods and alcohol, and ratio of individual fatty acid intake. Nutrient intakes was evaluated by comparing with dietary reference intakes. In the final part, the program included the menu planning by using standard recipe. This system was also designed to insert, remove or change the food items or amount according to the user need. It is expected that the development of a meal planning system based on the internet can facilitate the professional dietary counseling, and thus help to improve the health of people.

An analysis of internet websites for searching domestic toxic information (국내 독성정보 검색을 위한 인터넷 웹사이트 분석)

  • Purpose: This study analyzed the information and accessibility of toxic substances provided to Internet websites. Methods: From August 1, 2020, to August 31, 2020, we analyzed eight internet websites regarding toxic pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and chemicals. The website-evaluation criteria were divided into five categories for information and five categories for website convenience. Results: All eight websites about toxic substances were hosted by reliable institutions or organizations and provided accurate information in terms of informational relevance. The website run by the Safety and Health Corporation scored the highest with 100points. Analysis of the websites' accessibility to non-members' revealed that six (75.0%) were accessible, but two (12.5%) provided only limited information. Access to information through mobile apps was only available in three of the eight cases (37.5%). Conclusion: This study can be used as a reference for Internet websites about toxic substances. Toxicological information that can be viewed only with membership and manager approval requires membership in advance of viewing. In addition, emergency medical personnel working at a site or hospital should be familiar with the characteristics of toxicity information retrieval.

  • This study, for the purpose of comparing and analyzing 23ea of national unisex apparel brands website consists of product, price, promotion and place divided by marketin gmix. Based of theoretical study and pre-research about the marketing mix, we made the classification standard for the marketing mix and analyzed the unisex apparel brand website according to 4P's individual item and the result was appeared like this. First of all, in the product section, this study provide information about product introduction/guidance, a product figure for item, introduction for new items, propose for coordination and brand introduction/information. Secondly, in the price part, almost apparel brands are provide their product's image, or present their goods photo with price, or displayed through the banner advertisement of discount or special price. Thirdly, For the marketing promotion part, compare to the other component in the most of apparel brand's website, marketing promotion has more section than the other marketing mix. And, especially, various events and customer service space has more weight than the others. Forth, in the place section, it's focused on the information of shopping mall location, contact number, address, and on-line shopping mall. In Conclusion, when the most of apparel brands are doing internet marketing, they're concern to product and promotion, but price and place needs more supplement in the unisex apparel brand's marketing mix.

  • The purpose of this study is to describe the technologies necessary to design responsive web with the use of the responsive website based on implementation structure as a prototype. Responsive design means the process of analyzing prototype requirements on the basis of implementation and applying the analysis results to development. The design method based on the principle of priority in development was established, and then flexibility and variability through design formula were set up. After that, the user-oriented primary principle and secondary principle were drawn to establish implementation structure. In the way of discussing compression technologies, a method of combination was searched for, and then a method of asynchronous script scalability in line with a web prototype was found. Today, a website or a web application needs to be adopted and accessed regardless of device types. As a solution, a responsive website design method was found. Important technologies for the implementation structure for the responsive website design method and its relevant prototype website were came up with.

The Effects of Utilitarian and Hedonic Perceptions of Travel Review Website on Perceived Usefulness and Behavioral Intention (여행 리뷰 웹사이트의 기능적, 쾌락적 인식이 지각된 유용성 및 행동의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to research the relationships among utilitarian perceptions, hedonic perceptions, perceived usefulness and behavioral intention. Recently, consumers rely heavily on user-generated contents of social media channels to support their purchase decisions, such as electronic word-of-mouth. Electronic word-of-mouth helps consumers to evaluate items before making purchase, to reduce purchase risks and to support their purchase decisions. This study was based on both the analysis derived from a hypothesis and literature reviews and data collected from 255 travelers who had used travel review website at least once. The results of empirical analysis showed as follows. First, Utilitarian perceptions(information quality) has a significant impact on the perceived usefulness of a travel review website. Second, Enjoyment has a significant impact on the perceived usefulness of a travel review website. Third, Curiosity fulfilment has a significant impact on the perceived usefulness of a travel review website. Finally, Perceived usefulness of a travel review website has a significant impact on behavioral intention. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.
