DCOM, CORBA 등의 분산객체(distribute object)의 뒤를 이어 등장한 웹 서비스(Web Services) 기술은 SOAP, WSDL, UDDI 둥의 XML 기반의 공개 표준을 바탕으로 하여 웹을 통한 원격 프로시저 호출(Remote Procedure call)의 메커니즘을 제공하여, e-비즈니스에서 통합과 협업의 방법으로 최근 각광을 받고 있다. 특히, UDDI는 웹 서비스를 등록 및 검색을 가능하게 해주는 레지스트리(registry)로, 웹 서비스를 위한 인프라를 제공하는 역할을 담당하고 있다. 하지만 기존 UDDI는 검색 방법이 단순하고, 해당 웹 서비스의 품질을 평가하여 검색할 수 있는 방법을 제공하고 있지 못하다는 문제를 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 웹 서비스의 품질을 평가하여 그에 대한 검색을 가능하게 해줄 수 있는 UDDI 개선 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

The beginning of Web Services was understood as efficient technology for application integration in the internet, thus it was used to integrating the distributed enterprise applications or the e-business applications between partners. But, recently the usage trend of Web Services is largely spreaded out wireless network applications beyond the internet applications. The main reasons are that Web Services is the international standard of W3C, and Web Services is based on XML that is independent of the specific internal implementations such as platform, programming languages, communications networks etc. Currently Major company of Web Services such as MS, IBM, etc. focus on the research about technology for integrating various devices. In this paper, we define and explain technical issues for adapting web services to ubiquitous Environment.

Ubiquitous web services have been expanding in various business areas with the evolution of wireless Internet technologies, accessible and usable with a variety of mobile Internet devices such as smart phones. Ubiquitous mobile-web information services can be evaluated for accessibility and usability with the mobile Internet devices interacting with mobile-web information servers. In human mobile-web activity, a web server could be a unified center for mobile-web interaction services as well as for real-time estimation and analysis of mobile-web interaction sessions. We present a real-time estimation and analysis scheme for time-based accessibility and usability in ubiquitous mobile-web services. With real-time estimation/analysis of sessions in a mobile-web server, we estimated the time-based accessibility and usability for comparison between different web services as well as for applications in mobile cloud computing services. We present empirical results based on the implementation of the real-time estimation/analysis scheme.

IT Services market is growing rapidly in the business industry and SOA-based Web Services have been introduced as an effective vehicle for the integration of enterprise-wide applications within organizations. The number of publicly available Web Services is ever increasing recently in a variety of areas, and as the number of public Web Services increases, there will be many Web Services with the same functionality. These services, however, will vary in their QoS properties, such as price, response time and availability, and it is very important to choose a right service while satisfying given QoS constraints. This paper addresses the issue of selecting composite Web Services which involves conditional branches in business processes. It is essential to have any conditional branches satisfy the global QoS constraints at service selection phase, since the branches are chosen to execute at run-time dynamically. We proposed service selection procedures for basic structure of conditional branches and explained them by examples. Experiments were conducted to analyze the impact of the number of candidate services and service types on the time of finding service solutions.

본 연구에서는 음성인식을 위한 웹페이지 변환 웹서비스와 음성을 녹음하고 전송하는 음성라이브러리를 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 웹서비스 소비자와 웹서비스 제공자들로 구성되어 있다. 웹서비스 소비자는 음성을 녹음하고 웹서비스를 호출하여 음성인식을 요청한 후 결과를 사용자에게 반환하는 기능을 한다. 웹서비스 소비자는 음성라이브러리(speech-Library)와 웹서비스와 통신하는 프록시라이브러리를 포함한다. 음성라이브러리는 사용자가 녹음한 음성에서 음성데이터만 추출하는 전처리 과정과 사용자의 음성과 매핑되는 링크를 검색하는 기능을 수행한다. 프록시라이브러리의 기능은 두개의 웹서비스를 호출하고 반환되는 결과 값을 수신 받는다. 웹서비스 제공자는 파싱 웹서비스와 음성인식 웹서비스로 구성되어있다. 파싱 웹서비스는 일반 웹페이지를 ActiveX 컨트롤을 삽입하여 음성인식이 가능한 웹페이지로 재구성한다. 음성인식 웹서비스는 기존의 연구에서 구현된 시스템을 사용하였다. 실험 결과, 일반 웹페이지를 재구성하고 링크 테이블을 생성한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또 한 사용자의 음성과 매핑되는 URL을 검색하는 것도 확인하였다. 또한 음성인식 웹서비스의 결과에 매핑되는 URL를 검색하여 사용자에게 웹페이지를 반환하는 것도 확인하였다.

The 'convergence service' in NGN implies the integration of services in NGN with a unified manner to access each service in order to interwork with each service. This Recommendation defines the convergence model for NGN based on Web Services and provides a detailed scenario of each convergence model in form of Web Services.

복합 웹 서비스를 이용하고자 하는 사용자의 요구가 늘어나고 있지만 유비쿼터스 환경에서 일반 사용자들이 쉽게 복합 웹 서비스를 사용할 수 있는 환경은 마련되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스에 대한 기술적인 지식이 없는 일반인들도 쉽게 자신의 요구사항을 표현 가능한 자연어 기반의 사용자 친화적인 인터페이스를 제안한다. 특히 사용자의 표현을 효율적으로 분석하기 위해 사용자의 문장으로부터 정교한 수준의 복합적인 워크플로우를 추출하고, 문장 분석을 통해 적합한 서비스를 찾는 방법을 제안한다. 특히 많은 제어 구문과 구절로 이루어진 복잡한 문장으로부터 정교한 수준의 추상 워크플로우를 추출한다.

웹의 이용이 급속하게 증가함에 따라, 웹 기반의 어플리케이션 대 어플리케이션 상호작용을 체계적으로 지원하는 적절한 모형과 이러한 새로운 분산 전산 플렛폼을 기존 환경들과 효율적으로 통합할 수 있는 방안에 대한 요구가 발생했으며 이에 대한 해결책으로 웹 서비스가 등장하였다. 본 고에서는 먼저 웹 서비스의 발생 배경과 정의, 특징 등에 대해 언급한다. 그리고 웹 서비스가 작동하는 원리에 대해 상세히 설명을 한 후, 웹 서비스를 구현하는데 필요한 핵심 기술들과 실제 구현 사례들을 살펴본다. 마지막으로 웹 서비스의 향후 발전 방향에 대해 언급한다.

The present research addresses the system design for building a geospatially-based web services application for mobile users. In recent years, geospatial information(GI) and Geographic Information Systems(GIS) are significant resources in decision-making analyses at various levels of society and activities. Recently, the integration of GIS and web services, called GIS web services, provides the wider implementation of GIS. At the present time, accessing, presenting, and manipulating updatedgeospatial information to locate geo-related facility services are real challenges related to application developers to implement for foot-travelers properly. The present paper investigates how the web services work in a GIS for discovering geo-related facility services such as a restaurant and post office in the user's vicinity. Thus, a prototype, with an architecture consisting of a windows application on the client side as well as facility services and geo-engineon the server side, were designed and implemented with the proposed GIS web services platform. On both the client and server sides, visual studio .Net technology was used. A geo-engine on the server side was also built with ESRI's MapObjects. Following successful implementation of the prototype presented in this study, the mobile user is able to invoke remote web services to assess the location of various facilities such as restaurants. Moreover, the present research demonstratesthat web services are not restricted only to web-based use, but can also be utilized by any web-connected application.

본 논문에서는 WML 페이지를 닷넷 모바일 웹 페이지로 변환하는 웹 서비스를 설계$\cdot$구현하였다. 웹 서비스는 플랫폼과 프로그래밍언어의 제약 없이 누구나 사용 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 별도로 제공되는 변환 시스템을 제공하는 웹 서비스 제공자와 이를 사용하는 웹 서비스 소비자를 함께 구현하였다. 쳅 서비스를 호출하는 웹 서비스 소비자를 구현함으로써 클라이언트(개발자)들은 별다른 작업 없이 웹 서버를 통해 웹 서비스를 호출하여 닷넷 모바일 웹 페이지로 변환된 결과를 받아 볼 수 있다. 또한 웹 서비스의 구현 방법을 고려하지 않고도 이를 사용하여 새로운 응용프로그램을 구현할 수 있다.
