웹기반의 건강사정 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발 (Development of Web-based Multimedia Content for a Physical Examination and Health Assessment Course)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

호스피스 자원봉사자를 위한 웹기반 학습프로그램 개발 및 효과분석 (Development and Evaluation of a Web-based Multimedia Content for the Education of Hospice Volunteers)

  • Objectives: This study was to develop and evaluate a web-based multimedia content for the education of hospice volunteers. Methods: The multimedia content was developed based on Baik's teaching and learning structure plan model. The developed program was evaluated by 24 hospice volunteer university students. Results: On main page, there were 4 menu bars that consisted of a lecture guide, cyber lecture, pause and quiz. In the operation of the web based multimedia content, HTML, Java Script, Photoshop and multimedia technology were utilized. There were significant differences in the test scores, before and after using this web-based learning program. After using a web-based learning program, scores of students were much higher. Conclusion: The developed web based program is based on systematic structure and it can provide hospice volunteers with the educational flexibilities and will be help for them to perform the more efficient hospice care.

웹에서 SMIL 기반 멀티미디어 문서의 동적 생성 (Dynamic Generation of SMIL based Multimedia Documents on the Web)

  • 본 논문에서는 SMIL 기반 멀티미디어 문서를 웹에서 동적으로 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 생성되는 멀티미디어 문서는 W3C에서 권장하는 SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)을 사용한다. 제안한 방법은 사용자 프로파일에 따라 자동적으로 XSLT 문서를 생성한 후, 미리 작성된 XML 문서와 결합하여 SMIL 문서를 실시간으로 생성한다. 기존 대부분의 웹 문서가 HTML에 기반함으로써 재사용성 및 문서에 포함되는 객체들의 동기적 관계의 지원이 어렵지만, 제안된 방법은 XML에 기반함으로써 재사용성을 지원하고 SMIL에 기반한 다양한 멀티미디어 문서를 효율적으로 생성한다. 적용한 예로서, 원격 강의에서 학습자에 따라 문서 생성 시스템을 보였으며, 응용 분야로는 전자 상거래, 원격 강의, 웹기반 멀티미디어 문서 편집 등이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 오프라인 컨퍼런스의 한계점인 접근성 문제와 온라인 컨퍼런스의 한계점인 참여자간 상호 소통과 네트워킹 문제점을 해결하기 위한 솔루션으로 WebRTC 기반 메타버스 컨퍼런스 시스템을 제안한다. 해당 솔루션은 WebRTC를 활용한 실시간 화상채팅 및 멀티접속을 구현하고 WebVR을 기반으로 하는 A-Frame 프레임워크를 활용하여 메타버스 컨퍼런스 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • This study is to investigates a development of multimedia contents for the web-based education system. With the comming new millenieum, we have a lot of experience in pluralistic society. especially we are affected by multimedia data with information and knowledge-based society, and the development of information technology, that is we are a lot influenced by multimedia data. This study is to explore multimedia contents which have still and dynamic. With this discussed, teaching and learning from multimedia contents makes learners construct meaning knowledge through the seeing and hearing, interactive communication. thus we need to include the multimedia education in a curriculum.

Toward a Structural and Semantic Metadata Framework for Efficient Browsing and Searching of Web Videos

  • This study proposed a structural and semantic framework for the characterization of events and segments in Web videos that permits content-based searches and dynamic video summarization. Although MPEG-7 supports multimedia structural and semantic descriptions, it is not currently suitable for describing multimedia content on the Web. Thus, the proposed metadata framework that was designed considering Web environments provides a thorough yet simple way to describe Web video contents. Precisely, the metadata framework was constructed on the basis of Chatman's narrative theory, three multimedia metadata formats (PBCore, MPEG-7, and TV-Anytime), and social metadata. It consists of event information, eventGroup information, segment information, and video (program) information. This study also discusses how to automatically extract metadata elements including structural and semantic metadata elements from Web videos.

웹기반 건강사정 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 학습효과 (The Effect of Web-based Multimedia Contents for a Course of Physical Examination and Health Assessment)

  • Purpose: This study was to test the effectiveness of Web-based multimedia contents for Physical Examination and Health Assessment on learning achievement. Method: Multimedia contents based on Jung's teaching and learning structure model were used to enhance learning achievement. Learning achievement was measured by the knowledge of Physical Examination and Health Assessment. The participants of this study were students in a BSN and RN-BSN program in a university located in Seoul. 59 students in the experimental group received lectures using web-based multimedia contents and 75 students in the control group received regular lectures. Results: The mean score of the degree of educational achievement in the experimental group(mean=31.09) was significantly higher than in the control group(mean=25.55)(t=-3.883, p=.000). Conclusion: These web-based multimedia contents were found to maximizethe effectiveness of the teaching process when used as a teaching aid, and yet kept the strength of a face to face teaching learning method. This program is recommended as part of a main text, vital teaching aid or cyber lecture materials in nursing schools and in health care educational institutions.

An Implementation of Web-based Stepwise Learning System for the Mathematical Problems

  • This study is designed to use the stepwise learning system for solving learner-oriented problem on the Web, which can help learners probe studying targets and contents of mathematics as well as search for a study-related materials. The study provides a Web-based Courseware design model based on the general multimedia systematic professor design model. It develops a program for remote lecture that can solve problems through interaction among a professor and the other learners. It also implements a remote teaming system for real-time environment of mathematical problems oriented by the learner. The system designed either as a Web-based mathematical Courseware or as a text mode has the purpose of providing a Web-based stepwise learning system for solving mathematical problems oriented by the learner.

멀티미디어 웹 사이트 사용성 품질 평가 (Quality Evaluation for the Usability of Multimedia Web Sites)

  • 본 논문은 멀티미디어 웹 사이트의 사용성 품질 평가를 위한 품질 기준과 웹 메트릭을 제안하고자 한다. 최근 들어 웹 사이트의 활용이 새로운 기술과 접목되어 산업 전반에 결쳐 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 또한 초고속 통신망이 일반화되면서, 그동안 네트워크의 속도 문제로 제한적으로 사용되었던 멀티미디어의 활용이 증가하면서 멀티미디어 웹 사이트가 증가하는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문은 기존의 소프트웨어 공학, HCI, 하이퍼미디어 분야에서 연구되어온 HTML기반의 품질 평가의 연구를 멀티미디어 웹 사이트로 확장하고, 멀티미디어 웹 사이트에서 큰 비중을 차지하는 플래시 사용성을 접목하여 새로운 웹 메트릭을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 웹 메트릭은 전문가 평가를 통하여 검증을 하였다. 또한 박물관을 도메인으로 하여 웹 어워드 코리아에서 수상한 웹 사이트와 비수상 웹 사이트를 정량적이고 정성적인 품질 평가를 통하여, 운용중인 멀티미디어 웹 사이트의 품질 평가가 가능한 것을 비교 검증하였다. 본 논문으로 향후 고품질의 멀티미디어 웹 사이트 개발의 기반이 될 것이다.

  • This study was conducted to develop web-based distance learning program of basic nursing physical science which was composed of a multimedia contents such as documents, voices and pictures. This was to advance curriculum of basic nursing physical science based on a proper nursing characteristics related to other major nursing subjects and induce a new and creative method to gain a knowledge. Based on a general learning design model, distance learning program was developed centered on a structure and function of heart physical science in 1999. The stages of development were like this. Firstly, at the analytic stage, specific units and contents for developing multimedia contents were decided and presentation methods for each item were designed and then the evaluation items were developed. Secondly, at the design stage, the most effective design of multimedia construction was selected and interfaces, basic frames, and presentation elements were chosen. Thirdly, at the developmental stage, internet files were designed using Namo web editor 4.0 and this files were modified with Adobe Photoshop.
