Personalized Advertising Techniques on the Internet for Electronic Newspaper Provider (전자신문 제공업자를 위한 인터넷 상에서의 개인화된 광고 기법)

  • The explosive growth of the Internet and the increasing popularity of the World Wide Web have generated significant interest in the development of electronic commerce in a global online marketplace. The rapid adoption of the Internet as a commercial medium is rapidly expanding the necessity of Web advertisement as a new communication channel. if proper Web advertisement could be suggested to the right user, then effectiveness of Web advertisement will be raised and it will help company to earn more profit. So, this article describes a personalized advertisement technique as a part of intelligent customer services for an electronic newspaper provide. Based on customers history of navigation on the electronic newspapers pages, which are divided into several sections such as politics, economics, sports, culture, and so on, appropriate advertisements (especially, banner ads) are chosen and displayed with the aid of machine learning techniques, when customers visit to the site. To verify feasibility of the technique, an application will be made to one of the most popular e-newspaper publishing company in Korea.

  • There has been increasing of using Internet shopping mall like an e-business, and it means that the analysis technique of appetence for webpase visitors logging into the case of analyzing the degree of concern and using them in the personalization has been absolutely advanced. For heavy web pages, it is impossible to use click-stream based analysis in analyzing interest for each area by what kind of information the visitors are interested in to. A web browser of a limited size has difficulty in expressing on a screen information about what they want, or what hey are looking for. Pagescrolling is used to overcome such a limitation in expression. In this study, a analyzing system of degree of concern for Webpage is presented, designed and implemented using page scrolling to track the position of the scroll bar and movements of the window cursor regularly within a window browser for real-time transfer to analyze user's interest by using information received from the analysis of the visual perception area of the web page.

  • As knowledge is paid attention as a new production factor that generates added value, studies continue to apply knowledge management to business environment. In addition, as ICT (Information Communication Technology) was engrafted in business environment, it leads to increasing task efficiency and productivity of individual workers. Accordingly, the way that a business achieves its goal has changed to one in which its individual members are willing to take part in the organization and share information to create new values (Han, 2003) and studies for the system and service to support such transition are carrying out. Of late, a new concept called 'Enterprise 2.0' newly appears. It is the extension of Wen 2.0 and its technology, which focus on participation, sharing and openness, to the work environment of a business (Jung, 2013). Enterprise 2.0 is being used as a collaborative tool to prop up individual creativity and group brain power by combining Web 2.0 technologies such as blog, Wiki, RSS and tag with business software (McAfee, 2006). As Tweeter gets popular, Enterprise Microblog (EMB), which is an example of Enterprise 2.0 for business, has been developed as equivalent to Tweeter in business circle and SaaS (Software as a Service) such as Yammer was introduced The studies of EMB mainly focus on demonstrating its usability in terms of intra-firm communication and knowledge management. However existing studies lean too much towards large-sized companies and certain departments, rather than a company as a whole. Therefore, few studies have been conducted on small and medium-sized companies that have difficulty preparing separate resources and supplying exclusive workforce to introduce knowledge management. In this respect, the present study placed its analytic focus on small-sized companies actually equipped with EMB to know how they use it. And, based on the findings, this study examined their knowledge management strategies for EMB from the point of codification and personalization. Hypothesis -"as a company grows, it shifts EMB strategy from codification to personalization'- was established on the basis of reviewing precedent studies and literature. To demonstrate the hypothesis, this study analyzed the usage of EMB by small companies that have used it from foundation. For case study, the duration of the use was divided into 2 spans and longitudinal analysis was employed to examine the contents of the blogs. Using the key findings of the analysis, this study is aimed to propose practical implications for the operation of knowledge management of small-sized company and the suitable application of knowledge management system for operation Knowledge Management Strategy can be classified by codification strategy and personalization strategy (Hansen et. al., 1999), and how to manage the two strategies were always studied. Also, current studies regarding the knowledge management strategy were targeted mostly for major companies, resulting in lack of studies in how it can be applied on SMEs. This research, with the knowledge management strategy suited for SMEs, sets an Enterprise Microblog (EMB), and with the EMB applied on SMEs' Knowledge Management Strategy, it is reviewed on the perspective of SMEs' Codification and Personalization Strategies. Through the advanced research regarding Knowledge Management Strategy and EMB, the hypothesis is set that "Depending on the development of the company, the main application of EMB alters from Codification Strategy to Personalization Strategy". To check the hypothesis, SME that have used the EMB called 'Yammer' was analyzed from the date of their foundation until today. The case study has implemented longitudinal analysis which divides the period when the EMBs were used into three stages and analyzes the contents. As the result of the study, this suggests a substantial implication regarding the application of Knowledge Management Strategy and its Knowledge Management System that is suitable for SME.

An Analysis Method of User Preference by using Web Usage Data in User Device (사용자 기기에서 이용한 웹 데이터 분석을 통한 사용자 취향 분석 방법)

  • The amount of information on the Web is explosively growing as the Internet gains in popularity. However, only a small portion of the information on the Web is truly relevant or useful to the user. Thus, offering suitable information according to user demand is an important subject in information retrieval. In e-commerce, the recommender system is essential to revitalize commercial transactions, raise user satisfaction and loyalty towards the information provider. The existing recommender systems are mostly based on user data collected at servers, so user data are dispersed over several servers. Therefore, web servers that lack sufficient user behavior data cannot easily infer user preferences. Also, if the user visits the server infrequently, it may be hard to reflect the dynamically changing user's interest. This paper proposes a novel personalization system analyzing the user preference based on web documents that are accessed by the user on a user device. The system also identifies non-content blocks appearing repeatedly in the dynamically generated web documents, and adds weight to the keywords extracted from the hyperlink sentence selected by the user. Therefore, the system establishes at an early stage recommendation strategies for the web server that has little user data. Also, user profiles are generated rapidly and more accurately by identifying the information blocks. In order to evaluate the proposed system, this study collected web data and purchase history from users who have current purchase activity. Then, we computed the similarity between purchase data and the user profile. We confirm the accuracy of the generated user profile since the web page containing the purchased item has higher correlation than other item pages.

  • PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)와 같은 Mobile 이동통신기기를 사용한 인터넷 쇼핑은 향후 E-Commerce 시장에서 가장 크게 확산되어질 한 분야로 부상되고 있다. 그러나 현재 인터넷상에 혼재 되어있는 수많은 정보에 대하여 Mobile Environment상의 제한된 Screen Size와 더불어 느린 통신 속도, 무선 인터넷 접속시의 높은 비용 등의 문제로 다량의 정보에 대한 확인과 검색이 어렵고, 고객이 원하지 않는 정보 또한 산재되어 있어 개인화(Personalization)된 검색 서비스의 요구가 대두되는 실정이다. 이로 인해 본 연구에서는 PDA 및 Handhold PC를 이용하는 User의 취향 정보와 만족도 등을 기준으로 보다 편리하고 효율적인 개인화 Interface의 제공 및 이를 이용한 손쉬운 검색 방식을 제시한다. 또한 User 인터랙션 정보를 통해 Feedback함으로써 보다 완벽하게 User 개인별 취향에 접근할 수 있는 Browsing기법을 제시한다.

  • 이 논문은 특별히 사이버쇼핑몰들이나 상업적인 웹사이트에서 효과적인 고객 지향적인 개별화 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 개별화 서버 구조를 제안한다. 데이터베이스를 연동하여 동적인 웹페이지를 지원하는 기존의 많은 쇼핑몰이나 상업성을 지닌 웹사이트들은 고객의 기호, 관심, 프로파일, 행동양식, 고객 히스토리등을 고려하지 않기 때문에 여전히 모든 고객에게 획일적으로 같은 내용을 제시하여 개별화된 원투원 서비스를 지원하지 못하고 있다. 이런 문제를 극복하기 위해서는 웹사이트를 구축하는 회사들은 제품정보, 서비스 정보 등을 고객이나 비즈니스 파트너에게 좀더 개별화되고 고객 지향적인 정보를 제공하고 고객과의 원투원 관계를 지속시키기 위하여 웹사이트 구축전략을 신중히 수립하여야 한다. 지금까지 원투원 웹사이트 개발을 위해 타겟 푸쉬, 타겟 메일, 타겟 광고등 다양한 개별화 기술이 사용되어져 왔다. 이 논문에서는 성능과 안정성을 고려한 멀티쓰레드기반이며 상거래직과 개별화 서버가 분리된 개별화 서버 구조와 고객에게 고객 지향적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 규칙기반의 매칭기술 기법을 소개한다. 규칙 기반 매칭 기술은 매칭엔진에 의하여 다양한 개별화된 컨텐츠와 메일을 생성할 수 있다.

  • 온라인 접속이 기존 컴퓨터가 아닌 스마트폰과 타블렛 PC로 확장되면서, 웹에서 보여지는 방법, 즉 웹 디자인에 큰 변화가 일고 있다. 스마트폰, 타블렛 PC, 컴퓨터, 이 세 가지 디바이스에 모두 최적화된 웹 혹은 각각의 디바이스의 환경에 맞춘 웹 퍼블리싱 서비스가 크게 증가하고 있는 것이다. 또한 지금까지의 인터넷의 역할이 콘텐츠, 검색 쪽이었다면 모바일 기기 사용이 증가함에 따라 사용자들은 그들만의 개인화 서비스에 대한 요구가 점점 증가하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 맞춰 가장 눈에 띄는 변화는 바로 "One Page Design"의 증가와 반응형 웹 디자인이라고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 논문은 모바일 웹 환경에서 개인화서비스를 효과적으로 활용하기 위해 One Page Design과 반응형 웹 디자인에 대해 알아보고 이를 현재 개발진행중인 포털사이트에 적용해본 후, 이에 대한 문제점과 개선방안에 대해 논의해 보고자 한다.

  • 최근 웹서비스를 이용한 개인화 서비스에 관한 활발한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자의 위치 정보를 이용하여 사용자에게 적합한 정보를 제공하는 개인화 서비스 시스템을 제안하였다. 또한 시스템 구성 및 테스트를 위해 기존 GSTD알고리즘에 이동객체의 패턴과 공간 개념을 적용하여 사용자의 선호도를 분석할 수 있는 이동객체를 생성하게 하였다. 사용자는 자신의 위치 정보가 반영된 정보를 제공 받을 수 있기 때문에 보다 사용자에게 유용한 데이타를 제공 받을 수 있게 된다.
