  • Traffic congestions are rapidly increasing in urban areas. In order to reduce these problems, it needs real-time data and intelligent techniques to quickly identify traffic activities with useful information. This paper proposes a Fuzzy Domain Ontology(FDO)-based opinion mining system to monitor the transportation network in real-time as well to make a city polarity map for travelers. The proposed system retrieves tweets and reviews related to transportation activities and a city. The feature opinions are extracted from these tweets and reviews and then used FDO to identify transportation and city features polarity. This FDO and intelligent prototype are developed using $Prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ OWL (Web Ontology Language) and JAVA, respectively. The experimental result shows satisfactory improvement in tweets and review's analyzing and opinion mining.

  • A Parallel file system is normally used to support excessive file requests from parallel applications in a cluster system, whereas prefetching is useful for improving the file system performance. This paper proposes a new prefetching method, Fips(dynamic File Prefetching Scheme based on file access patterms), that is particularly suitable for parallel scientific applications and multimedia web services in a parallel file system. The proposed prefetching method introduces a dynamic prefetching scheme to predict data blocks precisely in run-time although the file access patterns are irregular. In addition, it includes an algorithm to determine whether and when the prefetching is performed using the current available I/O bandwidth. Experimental results confirmed that the use of the proposed prefetching policy in a parallel file system produced a higher file system performance.

  • GML (Geography Markup Language) has become the widely adopted standard for transport and storage of geographic information. So, various researches such as modeling, storage, query, and etc have been studied to provide the interoperability of geographic information in web environments. Especially, there are increased needs to store semi-structured data such as GML documents efficiently. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement a GML repository to store GML documents on the basis of GML schema using spatial database system. GML Schema is converted into directed GML schema graph and the schema mapping technique from directed schema graph to spatial schema is presented. Also, we define the conversion rules on spatial schema to preserve the constraints of GML schema. GML repository using spatial database system is useful to provide the interoperability of geographic information and to store and manage enormous GML documents.

Though that, to suggest basic data of web page offered sizing system given to consumer higher satisfaction and based on ISO (International Organization For Standardization), domestic industry standard and service related size. The summarized findings are as follow. 1. The result of size description research, the size description system between internet site were very different, in addition in the department shopping malls it was different by manufacturing industry. Also in domestic and foreign shopping malls, It was not correspond to ISO and domestic industry standard, used Numeric and Alphabetical size. In the foreign shopping mall it distinguish body type and age group. 2. The result of consumer's satisfaction, the superior fashion malls were Samsung, LG, Fashionpia in the domestic shopping mall, were Gap, JCPenny, Jcrew in the foreign shopping malls. In the total group, 1-5 grades were ranked in the foreign shopping malls. 3. Satisfaction of the foreign fashion mall was higher than that of the domestic fashion malls. Exactly, foreign fashion mall described size chart, size description, product size and body size measuring method but domestic fashion malls didn't describe that. Domestic fashion malls need sizing system development given to consumer higher satisfaction. In addition sizing system based on ISO and domestic industry standard and subdivided to body type and ale group must be studied. • Purpose: We evaluated the psychometric properties of a questionnaire on the acceptance of the quality improvement information system (QIIS) among long-term care workers (mostly nurses). Methods: The questionnaire composes of 21 preliminary questions with 5 domains based on the Technology Acceptance Model and related literature reviews. We developed a prototype web-based comprehensive resident assessment system, and collected data from 126 subjects at 75 long-term care facilities and hospitals, who used the system and responded to the questionnaire. A priori factor structure was developed using an exploratory factor analysis and validated by a confirmatory factor analysis; its reliability was also evaluated. Results: A total of 16 items were yielded, and 5 factors were extracted from the explanatory factor analysis: Usage Intention, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, and Innovative Characteristics. The five-factor structure model had a good fit (Tucker-Lewis index [TLI]=.976; comparative fit index [CFI]=.969; standardized root mean squared residual [SRMR]=.052; root mean square error of approximation [RMSEA]=.048), and the items were internally consistent(Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.91$). Conclusion: The questionnaire was valid and reliable to measure the technology acceptance of QIIS among long-term care workers, using the prototype.

  • Since the cohousing idea, originated in Northern Europe, was introduced in the U.S. by architects Kathryn McCamant and Charles Durrett in the early 1980s, there are recently the largest number of cohousing communities and rapidly expanded in the U.S. So, it is necessary to appreciate the cohousing communities developed in U.S. In this study, we investigated the physical characteristics of cohousing and the methods of its residents' participation by means of a case study on cohousing communities in U.S. and suggested the future direction of the cohousing community. Also, this work could be exploited when the cohousing is introduced to Korea. At first, the general status and characteristics of U.S cohousing was explored using diverse sources such as literature, paper and Web site. And then, the direct visit survey was used to obtain the more exact and specific data about physical aspects and residents' participation in each community. We found that cohousing communities were mostly located in the urban and Rural area, which was founded in the 1990s, and new communities continue to be created in the U.S. Typically, the number of households is from 20 to 30 in one community. The land is generally owned by the community itself and its size is within 10 acres. Communities usually serve optional group meals in the common house at least two or five times a week. Each member's income is separated and the community members should take care of their common properties. The leader of community does not exist and most communities don't have the organization of community members. All cohousing communities use consensus as the basis for group decision-making.

  • In this study, the use survey of domestic and international weather information on coastal regions and the demand survey (e.g. general and in-depth surveys) for customer needs with coastal industries were carried out to design customized coastal weather contents. The general demand survey showed that most of the customers working in the coastal industries were interested in a short-term forecast, such as a general weather outlook (approximately 29% of the total respondents) and typhoon information (19%), and they preferred to be given the forecast information from new media such as the internet web-pages (36%) and mobile utilities (23%) rather than old media such as TV (16%) and radio (11%). In addition, only 31% of the total respondents were found to be satisfied with the use of the current coastal weather service. This low percentage might mainly be a result of lack of information accuracy (about 64%) and diversity (28%). From in-depth survey with site visiting, the need of coastal weather contents, such as weather elements, data form, a tool of communication, and forecast interval, differed with the working stages in three coastal industries (e.g. shipbuilding, maritime trade, and passenger transport industries).

  • Realtime search words of typical portal sites appear every few seconds in descending order by search frequency in order to show issues increasing rapidly in interest. However, the characteristics of realtime search words reordering within too short a time cause problems that they go over the key issues of the day. This paper proposes a method for deriving a key issue through association analysis of realtime search words. The proposed method first makes scores of realtime search words depending on the ranking and the relative interest, and derives the top 10 search words through descriptive statistics for groups. Then, it extracts association rules depending on 'support' and 'confidence', and chooses the key issue based on the results as a graph visualizing them. The results of experiments show that the key issue through association rules is more meaningful than the first realtime search word.
