New information technology developments continue to have a significant impact on civil engineering fields. The objective of this study is to develop STEP-based database which will be able to store and manipulate the information of steel bridges over the life cycle. In this study, there are three steps to fulfil the objective to build database and develop the application module for that data model practically and effectively To begin with, STEP methodology for a development of data model has been used for modelling data structure. And then the data model for a steel bridge's shape and structural analysis information has been made up by using AP203 (configuration controlled design) and AP203 (composite and metallic structural analysis and related design) which are the international standard in STEP Lastly, the application module for an access to information of steel bridges has been developed by means of already made database. This study show efficiently the prototype of developing information system with the existing standard technology in civil engineering fields.

Currently, attempts are being made to introduce innovative teaching methods in architectural engineering education. However, there is still a lack of research supporting self-directed learners. In this regard, this study sought to develop an application prototype to support learning from online lectures on architectural engineering and conduct prototyping for its evolution. Menus in the application prototype consisted of four main categories: lecture operation, video lectures, eBooks and past exam questions. The lecture operation was classified into eight sub-categories, including assignment submission and notice, so as to support interactions between instructors and learners as well as confirmation of the delivery methods. With respect to video lectures, assignment submissions and notice functions, prototyping connecting the mobile web was implemented to enhance user convenience.

Till now, applications of many kinds of satellite images have been accentuated in the datacentric scientific studies, researches regarding system development and concerned technologies for them are on the un-matured stage. Especially, satellite image processing requires large volume data handling and specific analysis functionalities, so that practical necessity of base study for system development is emphasized on. In the view of information system, various edged trends such as web standards, cloud computing, or web framework are utilized owing to their application benefits proven and business needs. Considered these aspects, a testing implementation was carried out using OpenStack cloud computing environment and e-government framework. As for the processing functions, WPS in GeoServer, as one of OGC web standards, was applied to perform interoperable data processing scheme between two or more remote servers. Working with the server implemented, client-side was also developed using several open sources such as HTML 5, jQuery, and OpenLayers. If it is that completed further experiments onsite applications with actual multi-data sets and extension of on-demand functionalities with the result of this study, it will be referred as an example case model for complicated and complex system design and implementation which needs cloud computing, geo-spatial web standards and web framework.

웹 서비스에서 UDDI는 서비스 제공자(service provider)가 제공할 수 있는 서비스 리스트인 WSDL을 UDDI에 등록, 검색할 수 있도록 기능을 제공한다. 하지만 Java등의 프로그래밍 언어를 이용하여 웹 서비스를 개발하는 개발자는 UDDI에서 제공하는 WSDL 문서만으로는 충분한 도움말을 받지 못한다. 이에 TSPWRB(TSP Web Service Repository Browser)를 개발하여 WSDL의 자바 인터페이스를 검색하고 도움 기능을 제공하며, 외부 UDDI 검색 기능을 제공하여 웹 서비스 개발을 보다 쉽게 개발할 수 있도록 하였다.

In this paper, we highlight the development of a web application system. Its main objective is to provide pathway visualization functionalities for inter-cytokine relationships, as well as for other types of relationships, with a specific cytokine(s) of interest. A natural language processor is first used to extract information from a certain web page that concerns the cytokine(s) of interest. The results obtained are then further processed and then displayed graphically to the user. The system displays how the cytokine(s) of interest interacts with other cytokines and cells. Useful information such as the type of reaction and catalyst involved, if any, are also displayed. In addition, the system also offers functionalities for graphical manipulations of the visualized pathways. The system has been shown to provide better overview, and hence, improved learning to readers who are new to this field by virtue of accurate inputs obtained from the natural language processing module.

We describe a scheme for developing character-based interface within the context of an agent-based tutoring system in the Web environment. The ideas in this paper stem from original work representing aspects of human emotion in tutoring computer models, where may provide mote natural ways for students to communicate with digital learning materials. The proposed system model is a set of software services that enable developers to incorporate interactive animated characters into their Web pages designed for on-line lectures. The prototypical application is developed and shown for validating the applicability and the effectiveness of this model in real tutoring settings.

This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.

The objective of this study is to implement geological functions on the Internet such as the visualization, search and analysis of geological data. To improve their performance and reduce the cost during development, special concerns should be given to the dynamic integration and interoperability of them. XML Web Service technologies can be adopted and OpenGIS specifications should be considered for the integration of distributed GIS components and their interoperability. Because standard Internet protocols and XML Messages are used in the Web Service, it makes the integration among different hardware and software systems possible. OpenGIS specifications also enable users to get benefits from geographic information and services across any network, platform and application. A prototype of efficient Internet GIS applications has been suggested in this study.

This paper discussed actualizing cyber education at the university education. 본 논문은 웹 지리정보시스템 구축을 위한 응용프로그램 개발의 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 응용프로그램을 클라이언트로부터 분리시켜 서버 측에서 관리하는 방법이다. 클라이언트 시스템으로부터 응용프로그램을 분리하면 클라이언트 시스템이 사용자의 플랫폼으로 전송될 때의 네트워크 오버헤드가 감소하고 클라이언트 시스템을 수정하지 않고도 새로운 응용프로그램을 추가하거나 기존의 응용프로그램을 수정할 수 있게 된다. 하지만 분리된 응용프로그램과 클라이언트는 여전히 입출력을 연동할 수 있어야 하며, 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 응용프로그램 입출력 기술언어를 정의하여 사용한다. 또한 서버 측에 분리된 응용 프로그램의 관리를 위해 응용프로그램 관리자가 필요하게 된다. 응용프로그램 관리자는 응용프로그램의 수행을 담당하며 응용프로그램과 클라이너트 사이의 입출력 게이트웨이의 역할을 담당하게 된다.
