A Study on Application of Web 3.0 Technologies in Small and Medium Enterprises of India

  • The purpose of this study is to explore how small and medium enterprises in India has identified the opportunities and challenges in adopting the Web 3.0 technologies to improve their productivity and efficiency. After an in-depth literature review, researchers framed a semi-structured questionnaire with open-ended questions for collecting responses from managers working in 40 Indian SME's representing five key economic sectors. The collected data was analyzed, and themes were encoded using the NVivo 11 computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software. Content analysis was used to analyze the data collected with the semi-structured interviews. This study identified five key themes and 12 subthemes illustrating the key advantages and challenges as perceived by the managerial leadership of SMEs. The five key themes identified in this study include integration of data and services, the creation of new functionalities, privacy and security, financial and technological challenges, and organizational challenges. The results of this study will benefit the organizational leadership of SMEs in planning and developing their short-term and long-term information systems strategies and will enable SME leaders to make optimal use of their information technology assets, improving the productivity and competitiveness of the firms. Web 3.0 technologies are considered as emerging technologies, so the advantages and challenges of using these technologies for SMEs have not been explored in the context of emerging economies, such as India.

  • The Ministry of Construction and Transportation (MOCT) has been constructing a nationwide soil information DB since 2000, as basic data for the construction of 'underground geographical information,' a project under the 2nd National Geo-spatial Information System (NGIS) master plan. The inputted soil information includes not only underground conditions such as the layer depth, type, color, and groundwater level, but also engineering information that can be applied to construction work design, such as on the standard penetration test and the compression test. It is difficult to use this information in soil analysis and design, however, because only the test results are currently available. A web-based geo-spatial information system was developed in this study to facilitate the effective application of the soil information database (DB). First, the space information, layer information, and engineering test information were loaded from the soil information DB in real time, and the earth volume, bearing capacity, and settlement were calculated to develop a web client that will evaluate the ground softness and liquefaction. It seems that the soil information DB can be actively applied to the planning and design of construction works using this system.

  • Recently, software distribution method, along with advent of era of Web 2.0, is rapidly evolving from ASP(Application Service Provider) method into SaaS(Soft as a Service) method due to development in concepts and technologies including SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) Web Service, On Demand and Component. Determining factor in market competitiveness of newly emerging SaaS business model will be analyzed by focusing on Group-Wares, POS(Point of Sale) System, CRM(Customer Relationship Management) and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning), which are the most representative SaaS business models in Korea. It is anticipated that the outcome of analysis of determining factors for market competitiveness for each of the main SaaS Business Models acquired through questionnaire survey can be utilized as important benchmarking material in setting the direction of cultivating SaaS market by the government as well as new entries into SaaS market.

  • From the growth of internet technology, many e-commerce principles have been Introduced In airline industry. The computer reservation systems(CRS) has been considered as the first real-time business application and the earliest examples of e-commerce. in airlines, the early e-business activity was to build the web site for providing flight Information to customers. Recently, many airlines are expanding the capability of the web site for selling tickets on the web to make use of the cheaper distribution channel. In this paper, we focus on the impacts of airline e-business being implemented in airline distribution channels. Using the conjoint analysis, we suggest a model for estimating the change of market sales for each distribution channel. With the empirical survey, we can find some implications on the e-business strategy and the effective internet marketing tools for airlines.

  • In this paper, the CAE Service System for Collaborative Engineering Environment with web services and Multi-frontal Method has been investigated and developed. The enabling technologies such as SOAP and .NET Framework play great roles in the development of integrated distributed application software. In addition to the distribution of analysis modules, numerical solution process itself is again divided into parallel processes using Multi-frontal Method for computational efficiency. We believe that the proposed approach for the analysis can be extended to the entire product development process for sharing and utilizing common product data in the distributed engineering environment.

  • This paper suggests the system for searching and application is to be in combination between existing hair art area and Image/Video processing area. This proposed system usually saves various hair types into a database, then, users send images of their face over the internet by using WebCam. Finally, they can find the hair types for users. Hair cutting is technology that form draft to make hair style. Man cut must decide how in image of sinciput, image of side bean curd, after lower image must operate. Silhouette is produced as is different by change of this three places. Customer increases in the beauty salon and beauty salon chain being changed, research about beauty art is necessary point of time. In this treatise, our country of when swim and operate haircut about problem that happen sample survey and analysis.

재난현장조사 공간정보 웹 가시화를 위한 3차원 맵핑시스템 개발 (Development of 3D Mapping System for Web Visualization of Geo-spatial Information Collected from Disaster Field Investigation)

  • GeoWeb 기술이 발전하면서 재난관리 분야에서도 웹을 통한 2D/3D 공간정보 서비스에 대한 관심과 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 본 논문은 재난사고 현장에서 수집된 다양한 공간정보를 웹 환경에서 시각화하기 위한 3D 공간정보 맵핑 플랫폼 구축에 관한 연구로서, 웹 개발 표준기술인 HTML5/WebGL과 오픈소스를 활용하여 재난사고 현장에서 다양한 형태로 수집된 2D/3D 공간 데이터와 대용량의 LiDAR 점군 데이터에 대한 웹기반의 공간정보 맵핑 서비스 방안을 제시하였다. 첫째, 오픈소스인 GeoServer의 WMS 서비스와 PostGIS를 이용하여 수집된 재난현장 조사 2D 데이터를 공간 DB로 구축한 후 웹 환경에서 렌더링하였다. 둘째, 웹 환경에서 대용량 3D 점군 데이터를 효율적으로 렌더링하기 위하여 다중 해상도의 옥트리 구조를 이용하여 점군 데이터를 2D 타일로 단순화하는 Potree 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 마지막으로 OpenLayers3를 기반으로 3차원 지도를 제어 및 측정하기 위한 기본·응용 기능을 Graphic User Interface(GUI)로 구현하여 2D/3D 공간정보의 웹 시각화를 위한 3D 웹 맵핑 파일럿 시스템을 개발하였다. 향후, 재난현장의 각종 2D 조사 데이터 및 다양한 공간영상정보를 구축된 웹기반 3차원 공간정보시스템에 중첩·표출함으로써 재난사고 과학조사 및 분석 업무에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 4차 산업혁명 이후 인공지능, 빅 데이터와 같은 기술들의 발전으로 사회 전반에 다양한 변화가 일어나고 있으며, 핵심적인 기술 적용 과정에서 수집할 수 있는 데이터의 양도 급속하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 특히 학계에서는 연구 동향을 파악하기 위하여 기존에 생성된 문헌 데이터에 대한 분석이 이루어지고 있으며, 이러한 문헌 분석은 연구의 흐름을 정리하고, 어떤 연구 방법론이나 주제, 또는 현재 학계에서 화두가 되고 있는 대상에 대한 파악을 통하여 향후 연구 방향 설정에 많은 기여를 하고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 문서 데이터의 분석을 위하여 데이터 수집이 필요하나, 일반적으로 프로그램에 대한 전문 지식이 없는 경우 접근하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 텍스트 마이닝 기반의 토픽 모델링 웹 애플리케이션 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델을 통하여 데이터 분석 기법에 대한 전문적인 지식이 부족하더라도, 연구 논문의 수집, 저장, 텍스트 분석과 같은 다양한 작업을 진행할 수 있으며, 연구자들이 선행 연구 분석과 연구 동향을 파악하기 위하여 데이터 분석에 투입되는 시간 및 노력을 단축시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

웹 기반 비즈니스 프로세스의 리엔지니어링과 명세를 위한 BPN 모형 (A BPN model for Web-based Business Process Reengineering and Specification)

  • 최근의 대부분의 정보시스템은 웹 기반 정보시스템이며 이의 개발과 유지보수시에 “웹 위기” 현상이 발생하고 있다 이를 해결하기 위해, 웹 엔지니어링 기술 중 웹 기반 비즈니스 프로세스로의 리엔지니어링 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 웹 기반 정보시스템으로의 이주와 웹 기반 비즈니스 프로세스 모형화를 위한, BPN(Business Process Net) 모형과 이를 이용한 리엔지니어링 휴리스틱스를 적용 예와 함께 제시한다. BPN모형은 베타분포형 확률 패트리넷이며 수행가능형 Activity diagram이라 할 수 있다. BPN을 모형화 할 때, Use Case 분석을 이용하며 비즈니스 프로세스의 수행시간 및 비용적 불확실성은 베타분포를 이용하고 있다. BPN 모형은 XML 기반의 비즈니스 프로세스의 명세언어를 위한 공통 명세모형으로 이용될 수 있으며, 제시한 리엔지니어링 방법 및 지침은 웹 기반 정보시스템의 분석 및 설계단계에서 적용할 수 있다.
