In recent years, use of the web technologies and on-line process has immensely swapped single-user platform practice. This study attempted to develop preliminary cost estimating program by means of Web technologies based on statistical modeling results. A prototype Web-based Preliminary Item-Level Cost Estimating System (WBPILCES) using open source software was developed as an on-line estimating tool in this research. The primary objective is to study the possible flexibility of implementing a centralized information system that will be maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) IT division. The full-scale deployment of proposed information architecture is expected to seamlessly integrate with legacy database system currently used by TxDOT so as to streamline data storage, cost growth tracking and estimates documentation.

Among the four kinds of silk glands in the funnel-web spider Agelena limbata, the ampullate gland for dragline silk production is the most predominate one in both sexes, and is composed of three functional parts-excretory duct, storage ampulla and convoluted tail regions. Two pairs of major ampullate glands send secretory ductules to the anterior spinnerets, and another two pairs of minor ampullate glands supply the middle spinnerets. There are no apparent differences between the major and minor ampullate glands not only the external spigots but also their internal silk glands. However, the microstructure is very unique in this spider, because each gland has spherical shaped storage sac with twig-like branched tails. Nevertheless, the wall of the secretory region is similarly composed of a single layer of epithelial cells. The mature secretory silks in glandular epithelium are closely packed and accumulated as electron-opaque vesicles. Most of the secretory products which originated from the rough endoplasmic reticula(rER) are grown up by fusion with the surrounding small vesicles however, the Golgi complex does not seem to play an important role in this process of secretion.

Finding publications that propose alternative methods to animal experiments is an important but time-consuming task since researchers need to perform various queries to literature databases and screen many articles to assess two important aspects: the relevance of the article to the research question, and whether the article's proposed approach qualifies to being an alternative method. We are currently developing a Web application to support finding alternative methods to animal experiments. The current (under development) version of the application utilizes external tools and resources for document processing, and relies on the PubAnnotation ecosystem for annotation querying, annotation storage, dictionary-based tagging of cell lines, and annotation visualization. Currently, our two PubAnnotation repositories for discourse elements contain annotations for more than 110k PubMed documents. Further, we created an annotator for cell lines that contain more than 196k terms from Cellosaurus. Finally, we are experimenting with TextAE for annotation visualization and for user feedback.

온톨리지는 시맨틱 웹의 핵심 요소이며 시간이 흐름에 따라서 변화하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 온톨리지에서 발생하는 변화는 도메인 변화, 개념 변화, 메타데이터 변화 등이 있다. 이 논문에서는 이들 변화와 시간차원을 기반으로 하는 변경 집합을 제안한다. 온톨리지 버전은 대량의 정보를 저장하고 관리해야 하는데 이를 위해서 변경 집합을 이용한 버전 저장 방법들 제안한다. 제안하는 방법들 사이에 성능을 비교하고 평가한다.

As network resources have become faster and demands for multimedia service through network have increased, the demand for Media server system has increased. These kinds of media server solve their bottle neck problem of internal storage device by using parallel system which takes advantage of fast network resource. Many vendors have suggested each of their media server system to solve these problem radically, but most of them require major modification of infra component and additional drawback has added. For example, storage mechanism for specific media requires new file system which is totally different from traditional one, and algorithm for enhancing performance may not suit for traditional operating system environment. In this paper, we designed a parallel media server based on web interface of traditional system and implemented a program for media server. Implemented server system performs parallel processing through web interface without any modification of traditional system, and controls which is related to merging load by distributed data is charged only to client and control server and consequently load of storage server can be minimized. And also, data transfer protocol for streaming media includes Retransfer algorithm and client Admission control policy relevant to performance of whole system.

모바일 디바이스의 대중화와 SNS(Social Networking Service)의 발전은 각 개인이 데이터와 정보를 생성하는 Web 2.0 의 페러다임을 앞당겼으며 최근 SNS 서비스를 통하여 새로운 형태의 커뮤니케이션 형태가 생성되었다. 이러한 커뮤니케이션 도구를 이용하는 유저는 대부분 ID 와 Password를 기반으로 사용자를 인증하여 서비스를 제공받는다. 이와 같은 서비스에서는 각 사용자의 정보자체보다 사용자의 사회적 위치와 사용자간의 관계를 이용한 보안사고가 우려된다. 근래의 ID/Password로 인증하는 방식의 웹서비스 또는 정보서비스들은 대부분 개인 PC, 스마트폰, 업무 PC 등에서 접근하는 추세이며, 임의적 장소에서 임의의 기기로 해당 서비스에 접근하는 양상은 과거에 비하여 감소하는 추세다. 이 같은 추세에 따라, 주로 사용하는 기기에 HTML5의 keygen과 Web-Storage 기능을 사용하여 암호화된 Key를 생성하고 저장하여 ID 와 Password가 노출되어도 해당 기기가 아니면 인증되지 않는 시스템을 구현 할 수 있으며 타 기기의 경우 일회성을 갖는 인증 방식을 사용하여, 기존 보다 안전한 인증 시스템을 적은 비용으로 구축 할 수 있다.

본 연구에서는 ICT(Information ＆ Communication Technology)활용 교수ㆍ학습 지도안을 Web상에서 작성 및 활용이 가능하도록 Web기반 전자지도안 시스템을 개발하여 첫째, 본 시스템만의 ICT 활용 교수ㆍ학습 과정안 형태를 구안하였으며 둘째, 한국형 교육과정과 ICT활용 교수ㆍ학습 과정안의 형태에 맞는 전자 지도안 시스템의 데이터베이스를 설계 및 구축하였으며, 셋째, 손쉽게 전자 지도안을 작성하고 지도안과 ICT 자료들이 효과적으로 연동하도록 시스템을 구현하였다. 마지막으로 구축한 전자 지도안 시스템을 실제 초등학교 현장에 적용하여 지도안 시스템의 효과와 개선점을 분석하였다. 본 전자 지도안 시스템은 수업 현장에서 가장 필요로 하는 ICT자료를 DB화하여 체계적인 지도안을 관리할 수 있다. 또한 지도안과 자료실을 유기적으로 연동시켜 정적인 DB가 동적인 컨텐츠 저장소로 활용할 수 있다. 이 시스템 구축으로 교수학습 지도안의 공유, 활용, 저장성의 극대화를 이룩하였으며 교육 현장에 일반화되어 학교 정보화에 이바지할 것이다.

시맨틱 웹에서는 메타데이터와 온톨로지를 이용하여 질의를 처리하기 때문에 보다 정확한 검색 결과를 얻을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 추론을 통하여 얻어진 새로운 지식도 검색 결과에 포함시킬 수 있다. 메타데이터와 온톨로지를 기술하기 위한 시맨틱 웹 언어 중 RDF와 RDF 스키마가 보편적으로 많이 활용되고 있다. 따라서 RDF와 RDF 스키마로 기술된 시맨틱 웹 언어에 대한 효과적인 검색 기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 키워드 질의 처리 결과의 기본 단위를 전체 웹 문서나 부분이 아닌 정보 리소스로 정의하였다. 그리고 메타데이터와 온톨로지 정보를 모두 고려한 시맨틱 웹 환경의 키워드 질의를 3가지 유형으로 분류하고 다양한 관련 질의에 대한 처리를 효과적으로 지원하기 위하여 키워드 인덱스와 저장 구조를 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 키워드 인덱스는 질의 조건으로 주어진 키워드를 직접 포함하고 있는 리소스는 물론 의미적 관계에 의해 간접적으로 포함하고 있는 리소스에 관련된 정보를 쉽게 제공할 수 있다. 그리고 본 논문에서는 클래스와 속성의 일반적인 정보와 계층 정보를 단순한 레이블링 기법을 이용하여 표현한 후 제안된 저장 구조를 이용해 정보를 유지하여 시맨틱 웹 환경에 적합한 키위드 질의 처리를 지원하고자 한다.

PDA는 저장 공간이 제약적이고 입력을 위해 펜 기반장치를 사용해야 하므로 불편함을 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 불편함을 보완하기 위하여 기존의 음성인식 시스템을 XML(extensible Markup Language) 웹 서비스로 제공하고, PDA에서 음성인식 웹 서비스를 요청함으로써 음성명령이 가능하도록 구현하였다. 본 시스템의 구성은 모바일 클라이언트와 음성인식 웹 서비스 프로바이더로 되어 있다. 모바일 클라이언트는 사용자정보와 음성 데이터를 DIME(Direct Internet Message Encapsulation)을 이용하여 음성 인식 웹 서비스 프로바이더를 요청한다. 음성 인식 웹 서비스 프로바이더는 인증된 클라이언트에 한하여 음성 인식 결과와 사용자명을 반환하는 서비스를 제공한다. 따라서 이 시스템은 PDA에서 대용량의 음성 DB나 음성인식 시스템을 직접 탑재하지 않고도 음성인식 서비스를 이용할 수 있다.

Coupled schemes between service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Web 2.0 have recently been researched. Web-based content providers and telecommunications company (Telecom) based Internet protocol television (IPTV) providers have struggled against each other to accommodate more three-screen service subscribers. Since the advent of Web 2.0, more abundant reproduced content can be circulated. However, because according to increasing device's resolution and content formats IPTV providers transcode content in advance, network bandwidth, storage and operation costs for content management systems (CMSs) are wasted. In this paper, we present a user centric CMS for open IPTV, which integrates SOA and Web 2.0. Considering content popularity based on a Zipf-like distribution to solve these problems, we analyze the performance between the user centric CMS and the conventional Web syndication system for normalized costs. Based on the user centric CMS, we implement a social Web TV with device-aware function, which can aggregate, transcode, and deploy content over social networking service independently.
