In today's digital world, smartphones and web-based applications have gained remarkable importance throughout the globe. These smart applications are playing a very significant role in maintaining a powerful business. As well as, they are helping a lot to expand these businesses via social networks. Social media networks such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn are playing a prominent role to promote the companies. In the hospitality sector, most of the companies are running their hotel booking systems by utilizing mobile applications and a web-based infrastructure, but usability issues still exist. This study has been conducted specifically to tackle the usability issues of hotel booking systems and the best utilization of social networks to promote the business. TripAdvisor was selected as an authentic source for selecting those systems and two international hotels are selected for this study. The first step is to identify different hotel booking systems. In the second step, the user's satisfaction level was measured for the selected systems by performing the System Usability Scale (SUS, Quick & Dirty) approach. Additionally, by which source (social media or personal relations) they found these hotels. It is found that the SUS rating for both systems is below the acceptable level of usability. The Mean SUS for hotel 1 is found at 55.25 and 51.2 for hotel 2. The third step was to identify the user interface (UI) issues, and heuristic evaluation is performed for this. The experts identified the UI issues on the basis of their experience. The major issues were related to the visibility of system status, error prevention, flexibility and efficiency of use. Depending upon the identified issues, an interactive UI (prototype) for the selected web-based applications was proposed. This prototype is mainly based on the user's perspective. This prototype can be used for improving the UI of the selected systems which is based on the user's perspective. During the process of verifying the satisfaction level, it is revealed that the targeted audience is not able to use these systems efficiently and effectively. The reason behind this is the negligence of usability guidelines throughout the process of design and development of these hotel booking systems. Therefore, it is highly recommended that the usability of these systems should be evaluated and redesigned, based on expert opinions. It has also been observed that the reviews/ feedback of customers has spread a negative impact through social networks.

As internet technology has rapidly developed, there have been works for the strategic techniques of the geographic information system integration and component that meet the situation of the variable customer requirement in endless change of execute environment. So there needs a design techniques of spatial data common component that can support technology and Query Processing, and so on. In this thesis, design techniques is proposed to support user-friendly interface and query currently available every place to provide these local-based software development technology. This process was evaluated through an verification test with a widely used development methodology The proposed methods is applied for computation and can reduce software development life cycle.

Augmented reality (AR) is considered to be an excellent user interface to a 3D information space embedded within physical reality. For this reason, it has been applied to various applications such as design, medical service, interaction, and collaboration. However, there is no formal way of analyzing the research trend and evolution of augmented reality. This paper identifies the research trend and change in augmented reality (AR) via co-citation analysis. The co-citation analysis provides how the AR research has evolved, who are main contributors, and which papers suggest essential and influencing impact. To systematically analyze the cocitation, we have retrieved 1,145 papers from the Web of Science and applied a scientomertric analysis using CiteSpace. Based on the co-citation analysis of authors and documents, it is possible to analyze the evolution of augmented reality, key authors and papers, and breakthroughs. We have also compared the proposed approach with survey papers written by experts so that the result of the co-citation analysis can compromise the qualitative result done by experts, and thus it can provide a different view and insight for visualizing the research on augmented reality.

With the development of the Internet of Things technology, new devices are being developed and used to provide various applications and services. Most IoT devices have a high probability of error because they operate in harsh environments with limited resources. In addition, it is necessary to manage the Internet of Things devices dynamically because new devices are constantly deployed. In this paper, we design a system that allows users to monitor the mounting of new devices to perform the necessary tasks and implement prototypes to validate their operability. Our system also provides a web-based programming interface to direct work on new modules and share work content with each other.

Accurate and efficient monitoring of dynamically changing environments is one of the most important requirements for ubiquitous network environments. Ubiquitous computing provides intelligent environments which are aware of spatial conditions and can provide timely and useful information to users or devices. Also, the growth of embedded systems and wireless communication technology has made it possible for sensor network environments to develop on a large scale and at low-cost. In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a monitoring system that collects, analyzes, and controls the status information of each sensor, following sensor data extracted from each sensor node. The monitoring system adopts Web technology for the implementation of a simple but efficient user interface that allows an operator to visualize any of the processes, elements, or related information in a convenient graphic form.

PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)와 같은 Mobile 이동통신기기를 사용한 인터넷 쇼핑은 향후 E-Commerce 시장에서 가장 크게 확산되어질 한 분야로 부상되고 있다. 그러나 현재 인터넷상에 혼재 되어있는 수많은 정보에 대하여 Mobile Environment상의 제한된 Screen Size와 더불어 느린 통신 속도, 무선 인터넷 접속시의 높은 비용 등의 문제로 다량의 정보에 대한 확인과 검색이 어렵고, 고객이 원하지 않는 정보 또한 산재되어 있어 개인화(Personalization)된 검색 서비스의 요구가 대두되는 실정이다. 이로 인해 본 연구에서는 PDA 및 Handhold PC를 이용하는 User의 취향 정보와 만족도 등을 기준으로 보다 편리하고 효율적인 개인화 Interface의 제공 및 이를 이용한 손쉬운 검색 방식을 제시한다. 또한 User 인터랙션 정보를 통해 Feedback함으로써 보다 완벽하게 User 개인별 취향에 접근할 수 있는 Browsing기법을 제시한다.

이기종 보안제품을 통합관리하기위한 통합보안관리시스템은 보안관리를 위한 불필요한 중복을 피하고 제품들을 효율적으로 상호운용하기위해 제안된 보안관리 구조이다. 본 논문은 다양한 보안제품으로 구성된 보호대상 네트워크의 보호 상황을 모니터링하고, 보안제품들이 상호 유동적으로 결합하여 작동할 수 있는 통합보안관리시스템을 위한 웹 기반 인터페이스 구조를 소개한다. 보안제품들에 대한 통합보안관리를 인터넷상에서 이미 친숙한 웹 기반 관리 기술을 이용함으로써 보안관리자들에게 편의성과 일관성을 제공하였으며, 보안정책에 대한 지식이 부족한 일반 사용자도 쉽게 보안관리를 수행할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 또한, 자바 애플릿을 이용하여 구현된 보안관리 인터페이스는 통합보안관리를 위해 요구되는 정보들을 동적으로 원격지의 보안관리자에게 제공함으로써 보안관리의 공간적 제약을 제거하였다.

Linux 시스템에서 gdb와 gdbserver를 이용하여 원격지의 대상 프로세스에 대해 호스트 컴퓨터에서 디버깅이 가능하다. 이는 상대적으로 적은 리소스를 가진 원격지 컴퓨터나 임베디드 시스템에서 프로세스를 원격지의 시스템보다 풍부한 리소스를 지닌 호스트 컴퓨터를 통해서 디버깅을 수행함으로써 직접 디버깅을 수행할 때 원격지 시스템에 오는 부하를 줄일 수 있다는 장점이 있다[1]. 하지만 gdb와 gdbserver를 이용한 원격지 디버깅은 gdb가 동작하는 호스트 컴퓨터가 반드시 gdb가 운용 가능한 환경이어야 한다는 점과 디버깅을 수행하기 전 호스트 컴퓨터에 대한 환경 설정에 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하다는 점을 생각했을 때 효율적이지 못하다. 또한 gdb에서 기본적으로 제공하는 사용자 인터페이스가 CLI(Comman Line Interface) 라는 점은 익숙하지 않은 사용자에게 불편함을 안겨줄 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 gdb와 gdbserver의 기본 동작을 웹 인터페이스와 연동함으로써 이러한 문제점에 대한 해결 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 WAP을 지원하는 휴대폰을 가지고 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는데 사용되는 WML 문서를 손쉽게 생성하고 유지, 관리할 수 있는 도구와 효과적인 WML 컨텐츠 사이트를 구축하기 위한 사이트 빌더의 설계와 구현에 대해 소개한다. 아울러 요즈음 웹사이트에서 많이 제공하는 웹 커뮤니티 구축 서비스와 유사한 포탈 서비스를 휴대폰을 통해서도 지원 가능하도록 해주는 WAP 기반 포탈 서비스 사이트 구축 도구에 대해 소개하는데, 먼저 WML 문서를 WYSIWYG 방식으로 저작해 주는 WML 전용의 WAP 사이트 빌더를 설계 및 구현하였다.

기존의 LMS(Learning Management System)는 웹 기반의 e-Learning 교육의 장점에도 불구하고 학습자의 요구와 수준에 무관하게 학습과 관련한 컨텐츠들이 획일적으로 구성됨으로써, 학습자의 요구를 만족시키지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 LCMS(Learning Content Management System) 와 LMS를 연계한 학습 통계 모듈을 제시하고, LMS에 학습자와 운영자에게 학습정보 데이터를 제공함으로써 학습하는 과정을 추적하고 학습이력을 관리 할 수 있는 학습통계모듈을 설계하고 구현한다. 제시된 모듈에서는 효과적인 학습통계을 위한 검색 방안으로 LCMS의 메타데이터와 다양한 학습관리 정보(CMI)값을 LMS를 호출하는 기능인 API(Application Program Interface) 어댑터를 이용하여 연계된 값과 LMS시스템에 학습지원과 운영지원 기능을 추가하여 나온 결과값을 바탕으로 하였다. 이 학습통계모듈을 통해서 LMS운영자는 학습자의 컨텐츠의 활용을 더욱 확장할 수가 있으며 학습자의 학습정보관리를 하는 LMS의 성능을 향상 시키고자 하였다.
