  • 핸드헬드 3차원 동작 추적 장치는 새로운 Human Computer Interaction의 도구로 Wearable Computing, Ubiquitous Computing, 3차원 Game 등의 분야에 요구되어 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 저가의 관성 센서를 사용한 소형의 핸드헬드 3차원 동작 추적 장치를 설계하였다. 특히, 저가의 관성 센서를 적용하는데 있어 센서신호처리의 문제점을 제시하고, 문제점을 제거하기 위한 신호 처리 방법과 관성센서의 누적오차를 줄이기 위한 방법을 제안하고 실험으로 입증하였다.

  • I/T 산업의 발전으로 다양한 종류의 디바이스와 시스템 소프트웨어 및 응용프로그램이 일반화되면서 시스템의 복잡도가 높아지는 문제점이 발생하였고 이러한 문제는 시스템 운영관리를 위한 전문지식이 없는 일반 사용자에게는 더욱 치명적이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 Autonomic Computing개념이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 보다 개인화되고 자원제약적인 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 환경에 적합한 Autonomic Personal Computing을 위한 자율관리 서비스 구조를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 Configuration Manager는 Self-Configuration을 위한 필수 기능만을 Client에 탑재하고, 많은 리소스 소비를 요구하는 기능은 Server의 도움을 받는 구조로 자원제약적인 웨어러블 컴퓨팅환경에서 원활한 Self-Configuration을 제공한다.

  • The blockchain and crypto currency has become one of the most essential components of a communication network in the recent years. Through communication networking, we browse the internet, make VoIP phone calls, have video conferences and check e-mails via computers. A lot of researches are being conducting to address the blockchain and crypto currency challenges in communication networking and provide corresponding solutions. In this paper, a diverse kind of novel research works in terms of mechanisms, techniques, architectures, and frameworks have been proposed to provide possible solutions against the existing challenges in the communication networking. Such novel research works involve thermal load capacity techniques, intelligent sensing mechanism, secure cloud computing system communication algorithm for wearable healthcare systems, sentiment analysis, optimized resources.

Design of OpenScenario Structure for Content Creation Service Based on User Defined Story (사용자 정의 스토리 기반 콘텐츠 제작 서비스를 위한 오픈 시나리오 언어 구조 설계)

  • It is a story-based content creation service that provides any user with some proper contents based on a story written by the user in order to utilize a lot of contents accumulated on Internet. For this service, the story has to be described in computer-readable representation. In this paper, analyzing the structure of scenario, as known as screenplay or scripts, a structure of story representation, which is referred to as OpenScenario, is defined. We intend users to produce their own contents by using massive contents on Internet by the proposed method. The proposed method's OpenScenario consists two main parts, OSD (OpenScenario Descriptors) which is a set of descriptors to describe various objects of shots such as visual, aural and textual objects and OSS (OpenScenario Scripts) which is a set of scripts to add some effects such as image, caption, transition between shots, and background music. As an usecase of proposed method, we describe how to create new content using OpenScenario and discuss some required technologies to apply the proposed method effectively.

Cryptanalysis and Solution on Secure Communication Scheme for Healthcare System using Wearable Devices (웨어러블 장치를 이용한 헬스케어시스템을 위한 안전한 통신 기법에 대한 분석 및 해결책)

  • A security company has been proposed for various healthcare systems. However, there are improvements in order to achieve better efficiency and stability in the various protocols presented. The purpose of this paper is to provide cryptanalysis and solution on Vijayakumar et al.'s secure communication scheme for healthcare system using wearable devices. Especially, it is weak against denial of service attack and it does not provide integrity of the transmitted messages. Thereby, this paper proposes a new secure communication scheme to cope from the problems in Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme. It provides authentication and integrity, which could be the security solution against Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme. Furthermore, it also provides a good computational overhead compared to Vijayakumar et al.'s scheme.

  • 웨어러블 컴퓨팅 환경에서 문자입력은 필수적인 태스크이나 적절한 유저 인터페이스를 지원하기란 쉽지 않다. 탁상용 QWERTY 키보드를 소형화하여 상용화한 제품도 있지만 일상에서 사용하기에는 상당히 부담스러운 크기이다. 본 연구는 단추와 유사한 크기로 부담 없이 의복에 부착할 수 있으며 적정 수준으로 문자입력 태스크를 지원할 수 있는 버튼 키보드를 제안한다. 버튼키보드는 기존 전화키패드의 $3{\times}3$ 키 배열을 단일 키 패드로 통합하였다. 이는 내구성 있고 간결한 폼팩터를 가능하게 하며 입력장치의 소형화와 문자입력효율의 향상을 가능하게 한다. 버튼키보드는 일반 키보드용 키에 터치센서와 LED 배열을 합성하여 구현하였다. 따라서 손가락의 위치에 따라 이격, 터치, 누름등의 상태를 구분할 수 있어 멀티탭핑방식에서 발생하는 입력분절문제를 해결하였으며 와이핑 모션에 의한 특수문자와 명령 입력을 가능하게 하였다. 프로토타입을 통해 문자입력수행도 테스트 결과 20세션 학습후 한손입력에 대해 평균 14.7WPM, 두손입력에 대해 평균 14.5WPM의 입력속도를 얻었다. 20세션 평균 에러율은 6%를 기록했으며 최고속도는 두손입력시 17WPM으로 나타났다. 실험결과를 통해 본 연구에서 제안한 버튼키보드가 기기를 극적으로 소형화하였음에도 불구하고 문자입력을 적정수준으로 수행할 수 있는 가능성을 가진 문자입력장치임을 확인할 수 있었다. 차후 프로토타입의 개선을 통하여 기기가 더욱 소형화될 수 있으며 문자입력수행도 또한 향상될 여지가 있다.

  • Due to the development of mobile computing and wearable technology, various wearable devices for measuring bio-signals in everyday life have been developed and popularized, and healthcare services utilizing bio-signals are attracting attention. In recent years, healthcare services have been developed and studied using various bio-signal analysis tools. Most bio-signal analysis studies utilize Matlab. However, in order to apply the algorithm developed in Matlab to the system, it is necessary to convert the source. We want to provide a smart interface that can skip source conversion. In this paper, we develop an interface to run the source file itself in the system by omitting the conversion technique for applying the algorithm developed in Matlab to the system.

Human Activity Recognition using an Image Sensor and a 3-axis Accelerometer Sensor (이미지 센서와 3축 가속도 센서를 이용한 인간 행동 인식)

  • In this paper, we present a wearable intelligent device based on multi-sensor for monitoring human activity. In order to recognize multiple activities, we developed activity recognition algorithms utilizing an image sensor and a 3-axis accelerometer sensor. We proposed a grid?based optical flow method and used a SVM classifier to analyze data acquired from multi-sensor. We used the direction and the magnitude of motion vectors extracted from the image sensor. We computed the correlation between axes and the magnitude of the FFT with data extracted from the 3-axis accelerometer sensor. In the experimental results, we showed that the accuracy of activity recognition based on the only image sensor, the only 3-axis accelerometer sensor, and the proposed multi-sensor method was 55.57%, 89.97%, and 89.97% respectively.

  • With the outbreak of COVID-19, non-face-to-face activities such as remote learning and telecommuting have increased rapidly. As a result, the number of people staying at home and the number of hours spent inside the house have also increased since the pandemic. Our team had previously worked on methods for detecting abnormal conditions in a person's health in various circumstances within the house by converging single sensor-based algorithms. In our previous research, we installed IoT sensors indoors to detect people emergency situations requiring aids, the scope of detection was limited to indoor space due to the limitation in sensors. In this study, we have come up with a system that integrates our previous study with a new method for detecting abnormal conditions in outdoor environments using outdoor security cameras and wearable devices. The proposed system enables users to be notified of emergency situations in both indoor and outdoor areas and respond to them as quickly as possible.

Life Weather Index Monitoring System using Wearable based Smart Cap (웨어러블 기반의 스마트 모자를 이용한 생활기상지수 모니터링 시스템)

  • It is important for the strategy of service to provide the weather information in the environment that the smart clothing has been changed focusing on the consumer center. Recently, the various applications of smart clothing concept have been presented by researchers and developers. Among them, the smart clothing based on the sensors is most likely to gain the highest demand rate in the market. In this paper, we proposed the life weather index monitoring system using the wearable based smart cap. By wearing the proposed smart cap, the weather status is gathered and its signals are transmitted to the connected UMPC. It can be easily monitored in real time. To provide the life weather index according to the sensors, the weather index was analyzed in terms of 6 factors, such as, the heat index, the food poisoning index, the discomfort index, the ultraviolet index, the water pipe freeze possibility index, and the windchill temperature index. Ultimately, this paper suggests empirical application to verify the adequacy and the validity with the life weather index monitoring system. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the smart clothing.
