차량 통신 기술을 위한 WME 모듈과 MLME 모듈 간의 상호 메시지 처리과정 설계 및 구현 (The Design and Implementation of the Mutual Message Processing between WME Module and MLME Module for Vehicle Communication Technology)

  • WAVE(Wireless Access for Vehicular Environment) System is a communication technology to monitor system failure and vehicle functions and management services to prevent possible incidents of driving a vehicle. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the mutual message processing through parameter between WME management module that manages WAVE system and MLME that manages the upper layer MAC(Media Access Control) module. Also, in order to verify the validity, we have carried out experiments to compare the speed of data processing by dividing data of 1Mbyte, 2Mbyte, 3Mbyte into the packets of 2KByte and 4KByte. Experiments data processing speed of 2KByte packet were shown about 173.62ms in 1MByte, 2MByte about 352.61ms, 3MByte about 550.13ms and, data processing speed of 4KByte packet, 1MByte approximately 87.56ms, 2MByte about 177.94ms, 3MByte about 277.18ms. Therefore, in WAVE system, the mutual messages processing through the parameters between WME and MLME module can be utilized in the various service of ITS(Intelligent Transportation Systems) depending on the speed of data processing.

Empirical millimeter-wave wideband propagation characteristics of high-speed train environments

  • Owing to the difficulties associated with conducting millimeter-wave (mmWave) field measurements, especially in high-speed train (HST) environments, most propagation channels for mmWave HST have been studied using methods based on simulation rather than measurement. In this study, considering a linear cell layout in which base stations are installed along a railway, measurements were performed at 28 GHz with a speed up to 170 km/h in two prevalent HST scenarios: viaduct and tunnel scenarios. By observing the channel impulse responses, we could identify single- and double-bounced multipath components (MPCs) caused by railway static structures such as overhead line equipment. These MPCs affect the delay spread and Doppler characteristics significantly. Moreover, we observed distinct path loss behaviors for the two scenarios, although both are considered line-of-sight (LoS) scenarios. In the tunnel scenario, the path loss exponent (PLE) is 1.3 owing to the waveguide effect, which indicates that the path loss is almost constant with respect to distance. However, the LoS PLE in the viaduct scenario is 2.46, which is slightly higher than the free-space loss.

수침 초음파 시험법을 이용한 고체의 종파와 횡파 속도의 측정 (Measurement of Longitudinal and Transverse Wave Speed in Solid Materials Using Immersion Ultrasonic Testing)

  • 고체의 탄성 계수를 구하기 위한 방법으로 초음파의 종파와 횡파 속도를 측정하기 위하여 기존의 접촉식 초음파 시험법 대신 수침 초음파 시험법을 사용하였다. 통상적으로 수침법에서 종파 에코만 고려하는 것과 달리 모드 변환에 의한 횡파 에코를 찾아서 횡파 속도를 측정하였다. 물질의 두께를 알 수 없어 종파와 횡파 속도를 구할 수 없는 경우에도 두 속도의 비를 이용하여 포아송비를 구할 수 있었다. 다양한 재료를 대상으로 이 방법을 적용한 결과, 속도가 빠른 재료이거나, 포아송비가 작을수록 수침법에 의해 측정한 값이 정확하여 이러한 특징을 가진 세라믹이나 고강도 재료가 이 방법을 통한 종파와 횡파 속도 측정에 적당함을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 관심이 증대되고 있는 충격하중에 의해 시간의 흐름에 따라 형성되는 구조물의 응력분포 양상을 유한요소 해석적으로 고찰하기 위하여 동적 응력 해석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 유한요소 해석에 의하면, 종방향 응력파는 충격하중이 작용하는 방향과 동일한 방향으로 진행하며, 응력파 선단의 속도와 모양은 이론해석에 의한 결과와 같음을 알 수 있다. 또한 종파의 진행방향에 45.deg. 방향으로 전단파가 발생하여 진행함을 알 수 있으며, 전단파의 속도는 종파의 1/2이 되고, 종파보다 전단파의 강도가 큼을 알 수 있다.

비정상 압축파와 비정상 팽창파의 간섭에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical study on the interaction between unsteady compression and unsteady expansion wave)

  • A new control method to alleviate the impulsive noise at the exit of high-speed railway tunnel was applied to the compression wave at the entrance of the tunnel. This method uses the interaction phenomenon of unsteady expansion wave and unsteady compression wave. Unsteady expansion wave was assumed to be made instantaneously by the simple theory of shock tube. Total Variation Diminishing method was employed to solve the axisymmetric unsteady compressible flow field with a specified compression wave. Numerical results show that the maximum pressure gradient of the propagating compression wave decreases with increase of the wave length of the unsteady expansion wave. It is found that the impulsive noise reduction can be obtained when the unsteady expansion wave with a large wave length is emitted just before the train enters the tunnel. The present results give the possibility to reduce the impulsive noise at the exit of tunnel.

Propagation Speed of Torsional Waves in a Circular Rod with Harmonically Varying Material Properties

  • The paper describes a theoretical study on the speed of torsional elastic waves propagating in a circular rod whose material properties vary periodically as harmonic functions of the axial coordinate. An approximate solution for the phase speed has been obtained by using the perturbation technique for sinusoidal modulation of small amplitude. This solution shows that the wave speed in the nonuniform rod is dependent on the wave frequency as well as the periodic variation of the material properties. It implies that the torsional waves considered in this paper are dispersive even in the fundamental mode.

여객/화물 복합열차 HSB의 터널 공력특성에 대한 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Numerical Study on Aerodynamic Characteristics in Tunnel for High Speed Combi Train-HSB)

  • The new high speed combi train prototype project was developed which named HSB. It runs over the speed of 330km/h. As the speed of the train exceeds over 300km/h, due to pressure change in tunnel, aerodynamic problems such as sudden drag increase, severe acoustic noise, passenger discomfort and tunnel pressure sonic boom were occurred. This aerodynamic characteristics in tunnel should be reviewed in early design state to enhance the performance and driving quality of new high speed train. In this paper, the aerodynamic characteristics in tunnel for HSB such as pressure waves in tunnel, a rate of pressure change in cabin and micro pressure wave that cause sonic boom outside tunnel are analyzed by 2D axisymmetric CFD simulations. The results are also compared with the value for ordinary high speed train like the KTX-Sancheon. It is helpful how to design the configuration of HSB train. Finally it shows that the HSB train was well designed in tunnel condition because all values fulfill the criterions on UIC code and Korean national regulations.

KSUPRAMAX-O 선형의 규칙파 중 상대파고 계측에 대한 연구 (A Study on Relative Wave Elevation Measurement of KSUPRAMAX-O in Regular Waves)

  • This study focuses on measuring the relative wave elevation around the KSUPRAMAX-O ship and comparing it with numerical analysis results (potential and computational fluid dynamics). The relative wave elevation is a good indicator of the pressure distribution on the ship's surface, which is affected by the ship's motion, incident waves, and distributed waves. Prior to measuring the relative wave elevation, a comparative test was conducted on resistance type, capacitance type, and ultrasonic type wave probe to measure the relative wave elevation, and it was confirmed that the resistance type wave probe was suitable for measuring the relative wave elevation. A model test was performed at low speed and design speed using resistance type wave probe and compared with the results of numerical analysis result. As for the motion response, it was confirmed that the result of experiments and the result of the numerical analysis were in good agreement. The relative wave elevation showed a similar trend between the experiment and the computational fluid dynamics, but the potential analysis result showed a difference from the experiment in design speed.

A Study on Shape and Height of Shipwaves

  • Shipwaves am have harmful effects on ships working on the sea, in a harbour or navigational channel and caused beach erosion, seawall destruction. This study aims to investigate describe the characteristics of the wave pattern generated by an individual model ship tested at different velocities and hull forms for a given water depth and to investigate the variations at a given distance from the sailing line under the same conditions. As a result, the angles a's by model ship tests are smaller than those by real ship ones. Wave heights decreases with an increasing the mid-ship cross sectional area $A_s$. The maximum wave height and period increase rapidly in the subcritical speed, and beyond the critical speed the height and period decrease with increasing depth Froude number. And the period keeps constant with the distance from the sailing line.

Effect of Curvature on the Detonation Wave Propagation Characteristics in Annular Channels

  • Present study examines the detonation wave propagation characteristics in annular channel. A normalized value of channel width to the annular radius was considered as a geometric parameter. Numerical approaches used in the previous studies of detonation wave propagation were extended to the present study with OpenMP parallelization for multicore SMP machines. The major effect of the curved geometry on the detonation wave propagation seems to be a flow compression effect, regardless of the detonation regimes. The flow compression behind the detonation wave by the curved geometry of the circular channel pushes the detonation wave front and results in the overdriven detonation waves with increased detonation speed beyond the Chapmann-Jouguet speed. This effect gets stronger as the normalized radius smaller, as expected. The effect seems to be negligible beyond the normalized radius of 10.
