  • The purpose of this study is to improve the present methodology-for the estimation of optimal water supply from an impounding reservoir. The stochastic reservoir storage model presented in this paper is believed to be rational in that. the probability of reservoir depletion (return period) is to be calculated for the various monthly demands and storage capacities. The monthly flows are used to derive the reservoir storage capacity-monthly demand-probability curves at Dalcheon damsite and Hongcheon damsite in Han river basin.

돔배기 저장중 염처리와 포장방법이 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Salting and Packaging on the Quality of Dombaeki (Shark Meat) during Storage)

  • We investigated the quality of Dombaeki (shark meat) treated without salting (NS), with salting (S), air-packed (A), and vacuum-packed (V), during storage at $4^{\circ}C$ and $-18^{\circ}C$. We explored water holding capacity, elasticity, total bacterial counts, pH, titratable acidity level, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) value, and drip loss. Water holding capacity and elasticity values were better when salting and vacuum-packaging were employed than when samples were not salted and were packaged in air. The total bacterial counts in SV meat were significantly lower than in other samples. The pH of all samples increased slowly during storage, and the pH values of NSA samples were significantly higher than the pH values of other samples. The VBN level and drip loss of SV meat were the lowest of all samples during storage. The results show that salted vacuum-packed meat was of better quality than that stored without salting, and air-packed, regardless of storage temperature.

효율적인 광전기화학적 태양에너지 전환과 저장을 위한 Solar Water Battery의 최적화 (Optimization of Solar Water Battery for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Solar Energy Conversion and Storage)

  • 태양에너지를 활용하여 전력을 생산하는 시스템인 Solar water battery는 광전기화학전지와 에너지저장시스템을 결합한 것으로 추가적인 외부 전압 없이 태양에너지의 전환과 저장을 동시에 할 수 있다. Solar water battery는 광전극, 저장전극 그리고 상대전극으로 구성되어 있고, 이들의 선택과 조합은 시스템의 성능과 효율에 있어 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 Solar water battery의 구성요소들을 변화시켜 시스템에 미치는 영향을 알고자 하였다. 상대전극이 방전 시 미치는 영향, 광전극과 저장전극의 전극 재료, 전해질의 종류에 따른 태양에너지 전환 효율과 저장 용량에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 이들의 최적화된 구성(TiO2 : NaFe-PB : Pt foil)에서 15시간동안의 광조사 후의 방전 용량이 72.393 mAh g-1으로 시스템 구성 조건에 따라 광전환/저장 효율이 크게 영향을 받음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한, 유기 오염물질을 광전극 반응조내 전해질에 첨가하여 광전하를 효율적으로 분리시킴으로써 광전류 증가시켰으며, 이로 인해 저장용량이 향상되고, 동시에 오염물질도 분해시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이처럼 Solar water battery는 추가적인 외부 전압이 필요없는 새로운 친환경 태양에너지 전환/저장 시스템이며, 나아가 수처리에도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

양수발전기의 대기예비력 활용방안 분석 (An Analysis on the Usage of Pumped Hydro Storage as a Non-Spinning Reserve Power)

  • Total capacity of pumped hydro storage(PHS) in Korean power system reaches 4,700MW, though the share of it is about 4.56% of total capacity The Unit Commitment program, E-terracommit which is used for the operational purpose by KPX, includes the PHS model. But the model has a defect that it does not include the information of water level of upper reservoir. Therefore two types of improved the PHS models are represented in this paper. The first model is a optimized model by connecting the upper reservoir water level to the non-spinning reserve. The other model is to have priority allocate both the PHS and combined cycle generator for non-spinning reserve. The proposed two models and the E-terracommit model is compared and resulting to have improvement in estimating non-spinning reserve when using the proposed models.

농업용저수지를 이용한 소수력의 연간발전량 추정 (Estimation of Annual Capacity of Small Hydro Power Using Agricultural Reservoirs)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of hydro power factors (e.g., irrigation area, watershed area, active storage, gross head) on annual generation capacity and operation ratio for agricultural reservoirs in Chungbuk Province with active storage of over 1 million $m^3$. The annual generation capacity and operation ratio were estimated using HOMWRS (Hydrological Operation Model for Water Resources System) from last 10-year daily hydrological data. The correlation coefficients between annual generation capacity and the hydro power factors except gross head were high (over 0.87), but the correlation coefficients between operational rate and the factors were low (below 0.28). The optimum multiple regression equations of the annual generation capacity were expressed as the functions of watershed area, active storage, and gross head. Also, the simple regression equation of annual generation capacity was expressed as a function of watershed area. The average relative root-mean-square-error (RRMSE) between observed and estimated values by the optimum multiple regression equations was smaller than that by the simple regression equation, suggesting that the former has more accuracy than the latter.

  • A numerical study has been performed to investigate the thermal Performance of Solar heating system with baffle type of storage tank by using the commercial code TRNSYS. As a result, the solar fraction depends strongly on the efficiency and heat loss coefficient of solar collector as well as the heating capacity of house and the water temperature supplied to the shower. In addition, the solar fraction has been basically ranked to higher level in baffle type of storage tank than typical type of single storage tank for the range of operation condition.

저수용량을 고려한 가뭄지수 산정과 가뭄관리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Index of Drought and Drought Management Considering Reservoir Storage)

  • The goal of the present research was to develop a mean to determine indices of drought warning and emergency necessary to manage drought and establish water supply contingency plan for the municipal and industrial water supply system in urban areas. To do this, we worked on the Sayun catchment which is the main water source of Ulsan and used measured hydrologic data (storage, inflow, supply, outflow) from 1980 to 1996. The indices of drought calculated by the method of Phillips drought index based only on monthly precipitation do not pertinently represent drought phenomena in case water supply is from dam or reservoir in an urban area. Therefor, we developed the drought index technique including inflow, storage, outflow and supply which are the chief factors of drought management. The result showed that the method of Phillips drought index considering the capacity of water supply was excellent when applied to practical drought phenomena.

무인항공기 사진측량에 의한 저수면적과 저수량 곡선식 산정 (Estimation of Reservoir Area and Capacity Curve Equation using UAV Photogrammetry)

  • 용수공급이나 수질관리 등과 같은 저수지 운영을 위해서는 최신의 수위별 저수면적과 저수량을 평가해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 괴연저수지를 대상으로 UAV 촬영 및 GCP 측량을 통해 정사영상과 DSM 자료를 구축하였으며, 저수지 영역에 대한 TIN 데이터모델을 구축함으로써 실제 저수구간인 149~156 EL.m에 대한 수위별 저수면적과 저수량을 계산할 수 있었다. 또한 수위별 저수면적과 저수량 자료에 대해 다양한 함수식을 적용한 결과, 수위별 저수면적은 4차 다항식을 적용한 곡선식의 결정계수가 0.97로 가장 높게 나타났으며 수위별 저수량은 2차 다항식을 적용한 곡선식의 결정계수가 0.99로 가장 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 UAV 사진측량을 통해 저수면적과 저수량 곡선식을 산정함으로서 효율적인 저수지 관리가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

열사이폰식 태양열 온수시스템의 성능실험 (Performance Tests on a Solar Water Heating System in Thermosyphonic Flow)

  • A small domestic solar water heating system in thermosyphonic flow was tested in Seoul. The system consisted of four flat plate aluminium roll bond type collectors of total effective area $3.28m^2$ and a $280{\iota}$ storage tank. It was tilted $52^{\circ}$ relative to the horizon. And the collector plate, collector tube and storage tank were equiped with 14 thermocouples. As the results, the following facts were found; 1) To provide water at $55^{\circ}C$ for a family of four in Seoul, a collector area of $3-4m^2$ and a storage capacity of $180{\iota}- 200{\iota}$ are suggested. And this system can supply hot water at above $45^{\circ}C$ day about. 2) In the late afternoon hours, it might be advantageous to stop the flow in the system as heat losses to the environment increase unduly. 3) Without any hot water consumption throughout the day, water temperature distributions inside the storage tank was found almost linear. This indicates essentially no mixing inside the storage tank. 4) In case of a small domestic solar water heating system, it is better to employ a single transparent cover rather than double one.
