양생온도와 재령에 다른 콘크리트의 결합수량과 수산화칼슘의 변화 (A Variation of Non-Evaporable Water and Calcium Hydroxides of Concrete with Various Curing Temperatures and Ages)

  • The non-evaporable water and calcium hydroxides were measured by TG/DTA for studying the temperature effect on hydration of concrete mixture. The experimental parameters introduced in this study were the curing temperatures, ages and W/C ratios. The mixing temperature was also controlled to improve the efficiency of experimental work. While the mixture cured at high temperature showed the large quantity of non-evaporable water and calcium hydroxides at early age, the production rate of these hydration products was decreased as increasing the curing age, and the quantity of hydration product became smaller than that of the corresponding mixture cured at lower temperature at later age.

  • The purpose of this study was to Investigate characteristics of the water soluble browning reaction products (WS-BRPs) from Korean red ginseng by heat treatment. Absorbance of WS- BRPs was increased with increases of heating temperature and time, but pH value were decreased In Muter color value L and b value were decreased, while a value was increased. and absorbance at 280 nm in spectrum of the WS-BRPs was increased according to the increase of heating temperature. When the WS-BRPs were applied on Bio-Gel P-30 column after heating and pH treatment, two majors browning products increased according to the progress on time. And pH 3.0 increased in quantity of high molecular fractions and pH 8.0 increased in quantity of low molecular fractions.

  • In this study, it carried out measurement experiment Ca(OH)2 and chemically bound water to verify Ca(OH)2 and chemically bound water prediction model out of hydration model of cement incorporating blast furnace slag. It compared and analyzed prediction results using prediction model with measurement results of Ca(OH)2 quantity using thermogravimetric differential temperature analysis and chemically bound water quantity using electronic furnace. It agrees well experiments results with prediction results.

반응표면분석법에 따른 저온소성 경량골재의 킬른공정변수 최적화 (Optimization of Kiln Process Parameters of Low-Temperature Sintering Lightweight Aggregate by Response Surface Analysis)

  • This paper was to evaluate the influence of kiln process parameter(kiln angle, kiln rotating speed) of lightweight aggregate using waste glass and bottom ash with industrial by-products on thermal conductivity, density, water absorption, fracture load and porosity by response surface analysis. In the results of surface plot and contour plot, it has verified that kiln residence time of lightweight aggregate increase as kiln angle and rotating speed decreases. For this reason, pore size and quantity tend to increase by active reaction of forming agent. It seems to be that increase in pore size and quantity have caused decreasing density, fracture load and thermal conductivity, and increasing water absorption. In conclusion, optimization of kiln process parameter on thermal conductivity, density, water absorption, fracture load and porosity by response surface analysis are kiln angle 2.4646%, kiln rotating speed 40.7089 rpm.

경안천 유역 소규모 오수처리시설의 처리특성 및 효율개선방안 (Performance Characteristics and Improvement Suggestion of Individual Sewage Treatment in Kyangan Watershed)

  • It has been achieved 109.1 kg/d of BOD reduction that is equivalent to the amount of BOD loading discharged from 21,880 persons and dramatic decrease of the fallout ratio against water quality of effluent, from 42% to 9%, through technical support on ISTPs to be applied by the ISMSGA at the upper area of Geongan river in Yong-In city. It was clearly revealed that the most efficient configuration for ISTP was a series of anaerobic tank, equalization basin, aerobic tank, sedimentation tank, and then effluent tank. Also, the major causes on the fallout ratio of ISTP resulted in the lack of management (67.5%) and imperfect facilities (32.5%). Then, when compared the quantity of water supply with the design capacity of ISTP, the design capacity was estimated as 1.8 or 2.4 folds larger than the real quantity of water supply so that it is essential to punctually consider the key factors such as an estimation methods, the specificity of commission operator and construction by high systematic technologies to improve the water quality for the future.

장성탄광(長省炭鑛)의 갱내출수(坑內出水)가 생산량(生産量)에 미치는 영향(影響)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Influence of Underground In-flow Water to Coal Production in Changsung Coal Mine)

  • A various kinds of harmful gases in the gallery and the increasing quantity of in-flow water are the important factors causing mainly the decline in production. In this thesis, the increase and decrease of in-flow water which effects the out put have been investigated and analysed in the statistical method. Through the results obtained together with the stastistical data some typical interreation formula between the quantity of in-flow water and production have been induced and the productive percentage in season was examined with special reference to Changsung Coal Mine. The formulas are as fallows: (1) Underground in-flow water to production; $Y=-5.74x^2+108.9x+6,346.6$ where, Y: production(tons/day): x:in-flow water($m^3/min$), (2) Rain and Snow fall to production; P=6.555-1.591 R+1.282S where, P;production(tons/day); R:rain fall(mm); S : snowfall(cm), (3) Productivity ratio in season compared with the average annual production; 1st quarter of year:100.1%, 2nd quarter of year: 100.3%, 3rd quarter of year: 97.2%, 4th quarter of year: 102.4%.

매개변수 추정방법의 개선을 위한 전문가 시스템의 개발 (Development of an Expert System to Improve the Methods of Parameter Estimation)

  • 급속한 도시화의 영향에 따른 수자원 및 환경문제를 보다 효율적으로 해결하기 위하여 전문가 시스템의 개발 및 적용방안을 제안하였다. 이에 따라 도시유역의 유출 및 수질에 영향을 미치는 주요 매개변수들을 선별하고 민감도 분석 등을 통해 그 거동특성을 제시하였으며, 이러한 특성들을 바탕으로 효과적 매개변수 결정법칙 등을 제안하였다. CLIPS 6.0을 적용하여 ‘사실’과‘규칙’을 기본으로 한 전문가 시스템 ESPE를 개발하였으며, 이를 안양천 유역에 적용하였다. 결과적으로 유출관련 매개변수들의 추정결과를 매우 적용성이 높았으나, 수질관련 매개변수들의 추정결과는 그 모의과정의 복잡성과 의사결정 규칙의 부족 등으로 인하여 제시된 방법들에 대한 개선의 필요가 있음을 보여주었다.

소해면적법에 의한 중하(Metapenaeus joyneri) 자원량 추정 시 대지속력과 대수속력 사용에 따른 자원량 차이 (Difference in biomasses depending on apllication of speed over the ground and speed through the water during biomass estimation of Metapenaeus joyneri via swept area methods)

  • The towing distance, which is speed over the ground, and the water flow quantity, which is speed through the water, were used when estimating the amount of Metapenaeus joyneri resources that rose to the surface at night using the swept area method in order to compare and analyze the difference. It was conducted using a shrimp dredge, trial fishing gear for catching Metapenaeus joyneri. Catch during the entire survey period was 188.9 kg. Monthly catch ranged from 3.1 to 109.2 kg, highest in June and lowest in September. The swept volume calculated using the speed over the ground was about 13% higher than using the speed through the water. Metapenaeus joyneri resources estimated using the towing distance ranged from 320.1 to 14,649.8 kg. Resources estimated using the water flow quantity ranged from 278.5 to 12,886.3 kg. Therefore, the amount of Metapenaeus joyneri resources estimated using the speed over the ground was about 14% higher than the method using the speed through the water, indicating that the amount of resources was overestimated.

담수심과 오수처리수 관개가 벼재배에 미치는 영향 (Effects of fended-Water Depth and Reclaimed Wastewater Irrigation on Paddy Rice Culture)

  • Pilot study was conducted to examine the effects of ponded-water depth and reclaimed wastewater irrigation on paddy rice culture. For the ponded-water depth effect, three treatments of shallow, traditional, and deep water depths were applied, and each treatment was triplicated. The irrigation water for the treatment pots was an effluent from constructed wetland system for sewage treatment, while the control pot was irrigated with tap water kept traditional ponded-water depth. Irrigation water quantity varied with ponded-water depth as expected and drainage water quantity also varied similarly, which implies that shallow irrigation might save irrigation water and also reduce environmental impacts on downstream water quality. Rice growth and production were not significantly affected by ponded-water depth within the experimental condition, instead there was an indication of increased production in shallow and deep ponded-water depths compared to the traditional practice. Raising drainage outlet to the adequate height in paddy dike might be beneficial to save water resources within the paddy field. There was no adverse effect observed in reclaimed wastewater irrigation on the rice production, and mean yield was even greater than the control pots with tap water irrigation although statistically not significant. Water-saving irrigation by shallow ponded-water depth, raising the outlet height in diked rice paddy fields, minimizing forced surface drainage by well-planned irrigation, and reclaimed wastewater irrigation are suggested to save water and protect water quality. However, deviation from traditional farming practices might affect rice growth in long term, and therefore, further investigations are recommended before full scale application.

Rivers in Global Water Cycles

  • The role of river in the global water cycles and the modelling the horizontal water transport by rivers in the global scale are discussed. Due to the consolidation of the various hydrological information of the planet, now it is possible to monitor and simulate the quantity of the water carried by rivers. Land surface models that were developed originally for giving the boundary condition of the atmospheric and/or climatic models can be fairly used for river runoff simulations at least monthly scale, and it is promissing the approach will be a powerful tool to investigate the future water resources management.
