활성탄에 의한 니켈 및 아연 이온의 흡착특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Nickel and Zinc Ion on Domestic Activated Carbon)

  • 원료가 서로 다른 세종류의 국산활성탄을 사용하여 니켈 및 아연이온에 관한 할로겐과 시안이온의 활성탄 흡착에 대한 공존효과를 살펴보았다. 수용액중에서 니켈 및 아연이온은 할로겐이나 시안이온의 공존으로 착음이온 형태로 활성탄에 용이하게 흡착됨을 알 수 있었으며 니켈이온은 pH $6.0{\sim}7.0$에서, 아연이온은 pH $6.5{\sim}7.0$의 범위가 가장 적합함을 알았다. 또한 니켈이온과의 착음이온을 만들기 위한 음이온은$ 1{\times}10^{-2}mol/l$에서 그 최대치를 나타내었다. 실온에서 구한 이들의 흡착등온선은 거의 직선으로 Freundlich의 흡착등온식게 따랐으며, 시안이온 공존시의 기울기는 활성탄 A, B, C에 대해 각각 1.7, 5.4, 7.1로서 활성탄 A가 흡착제로서 매우 양호한 것을 알 수 있다.

친환경 행동 및 태도가 의복 재활용 행동에 미치는 영향 - 영국, 중국, 한국을 중심으로 - (The effect of eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes on behaviors of clothing recycling - Focused on UK, China, Korea -)

  • This study was executed to deduce the factors affecting eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes, to analyse the difference of eco-friendly behaviors and attitudes between countries, and to draw the variables affecting clothing recycling behavior. The sample comprised people from the UK, China, South Korea. The results were as follows. The four factors related to eco-friendly behaviors and the five factors related to eco-friendly attitudes were derived from the results of factor analysis. In the case of eco-friendly behaviors, four eco-friendly behavior factors showed a significant difference all according to gender and country. In the case of eco-friendly attitudes, saving of natural resources for eco-friendly life, recycling for eco-friendly life, and individual preference for eco-friendly life showed a significant according to gender, also recycling for eco-friendly life, individual preference for eco-friendly life, social awareness for eco-friendly life, and company's awareness for eco-friendly life showed a significant difference according to country. All of the variables related to clothing recycling behaviors showed the significant difference according to gender and countries. It was verified that the stronger the behaviors or attitudes for waste recycling and environmental protection, individual preference for eco-friendly life, saving of natural resources, buying eco-friendly products, and separate collection for recycling, the more positive the action to clothing recycling. The results of this study will be helpful to establish a marketing strategy for each country and to deduce a plan to attract clothing recycling form people.

인산질비료 장기연용 논토양에서 유효인산 변동 (Change in Available Phosphate by Application of Phosphate Fertilizer in Long-term Fertilization Experiment for Paddy Soil)

  • BACKGROUND: Phosphorus(P) is a vital factor for rice but excess input of phosphorus fertilizer can cause environmental risk and waste of fertilizer resources. We studied to assess the change of available phosphate, P balance, critical concentration of available phosphate under a rice single system. METHODS AND RESULTS: The changes of available phosphate of paddy soil were examined from long-term fertilization experiment which was started in 1954 at the National Academy of Agricultural Science. The treatments were no phosphate fertilization(No fert., and N), phosphate fertilization(NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS). The available phosphorus concentrations in treatments without phosphate fertilizer (No fert. and N) were decreased continuously. But, after 47 years, available phosphate content in phosphate fertilizer treatment (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) reached at the highest ($245{\sim}331mg\;kg^{-1}$), showing a tendency to decrease afterward. The mean annual P field balance in these treatments (NPK, NPKC, and NPKCLS) had positive values that varied from 16.6 to $17.5kg\;ha^{-1}year^{-1}$, and ratio of residual P were increased. These showed that phosphate fertilizer in soil were converted into the form of residual phosphorus which was not easily extracted by available phosphate extractant. Also, It was estimated that the critical value of available phosphate for rice cultivation was $120mg\;kg^{-1}$ using Cate-Nelson equation. CONCLUSION: We concluded that no more phosphate fertilizer should be applied in rice single system if soil available phosphate is higher than the critical P value.

폐타이어 표면에 형성되는 Functional Group을 이용한 중금속 제거에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Removal of Heavy Metals Using Functional Group on the Surface of Discarded Automotive Tires)

  • 본 연구는 폐타이어의 재활용 일환으로 기존의 분말 화된 폐타이어 표면에 특정의 Functional group을 형성시켜 수중의 중금속이온들 과의 Chelate complexes 형성을 유도 함으로서 중금속 제거제로서의 폐타이어 활용방안을 제시 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 FT-IR을 통하여 Function리 group의 종류 및 XRD, XRF, SEM 용출실험을 통해 개질 변화된 폐타이어 특성 분석하였으며 Kinetics Study를 통해 흡착모델에 적용하여 특정상수 값을 도출 하였다. 결과적으로 중금속 흡착 선호도는 $Pb^{2+}>Cu^{2+}>Cd^{2+}$순으로 확인되었으며, 초기 30분 이내에 흡착평형에 도달 하였고, 흡착반응속도 또한 0.27에서 $1.78\sim3.15(g/mg{\cdot}min)$로 증가하였으며, 80% 이상의 제거효율을 보였다. 이는 기존의 분말폐타이어에 비해 그 효율이 10배가량 증가함을 알 수 있었으며, Functional group을 활용한 폐타이어를 이용할 경우 중금속제거제로서의 뛰어난 효율성을 제시 할 수 있었다.

침출수로 오염된 퇴적점토의 역학적 특성변화 (The Change in Geotechnical Properties of the Deposited Clay Contaminated by Leachate from Waste Disposals)

  • 채취된 초기 간극수를 오염물질로 치환시킨 점토시료를 대상으로 일축압축시험, 삼축압축시험, 압밀시험을 수행하여 오염물질 성상에 따른 오염점토의 역학적 특성변화를 분석하였으며, MT3D 해석모델을 이용하여 매립지 성토제방의 점토 차수층을 통한 오염물질의 거동 특성을 파악하였다. NaCl 수용액으로 치환된 시료의 경우, 농도가 증가할수록 강도, 압축성, 투수성이 증가되었다. 침출수로 포화시킨 시료의 경우, NaCl 수용액으로 포화시킨 시료에 비해 강도, 압축성의 증가현상이 크게 나타난 반면 면모화 정도가 큼에도 불구하고 투수계수는 오히려 작게 나타났다. 오염물질 이동 해석결과, 초기 염소이온 농도가 클수록 측정농도도 커지며, 시간경과에 따라 농도는 비선형적으로 증가되었다. 농도감쇄 관계식을 유도하여 이동거리를 예측한 결과, 초기 농도가 클수록 이동거리도 크게 나타났다.

  • Since the beginning of the 90's, Fashion shows appear to be a type of performance form of art combining with other areas to visually entertain the viewers. This can be explained by the modern tendency to escape from society which requires formality and complicated lifestyles. Fashion shows take place in a scene Influenced by the idea of post-modernism which redefines the definition of space. A church, old factory, unoccupied ground, subway stations, or even place like a waste disposal are used as a setting. The stage set is no longer the T shape run way and the procinium arch has disappeared. The gap between audience and stage has diminished and theatrical element is added to the fashion performance by using viewers living and working environments as setting of the show. The human relation with machine based on the cutting edge technology such as the stage automation, robots and mist making sprinkler system introduces new elements with spontaneity and detailed planning in the stage performance. Music also plays an Important role in attracting viewers. The sound track covers house music to techno music. Instead of music being abstract, folks orchestral music, choirs, piano. even live concert performed by pop artist provide the liveliness of the fashion show. And the catwalk itself is a performance. Model needs to be well trained as the capable talent who can handle sensitive gestures, facial expressions, dancing and choreography. The improvisatorial interaction between audience and model lead to audience participation. Models now range from pop star, ordinary people, handicapped people, to elderly and so on. John Galliano introduced the theatrical factors for the fashion show and Alexander Mcqueen approached the fashion show as the visual art of communication. Hussein Chalayan utilized high technology skewing futurism as if in a magic show. Today the Fashion show tends to be a total performance which includes audience participation, impromptu, and that break the limitation that fashion shows previously had. This will lead the fashion industry in opening new horizon of its own.

유기랭킨사이클로 구동되는 증기압축냉동사이클의 엑서지 해석 (Exergy Analysis of Vapor Compression Cycle Driven by Organic Rankine Cycle)

  • 본 연구에서는 열 구동 냉동사이클로서 유기 랭킨사이클 (ORC)과 증기 압축 냉동사이클(VCC)의 복합 사이클에 대한 엑서지 해석을 수행하였다. 시스템의 열원으로는 다양한 재생 에너지 열원이나 산업체에서의 폐열 등 현열 형태의 저온 열원을 고려하였으며 작동유체로서 R143a, R22, R134a, 프로판, 이소부탄, 부탄, R245fa 및 R123 등 여덟가지 작동유체들을 고려하였다. 터빈 입구 압력의 변화나 작동유체의 종류에 따라 시스템의 COP 나 엑서지 효율은 물론 시스템의 각 요소에서의 엑서지 파괴 (아너지)에 미치는 다양한 영향에 대해 분석하고 논의하였다. 해석 결과는 주어진 열원 온도에 대해 시스템에서 가장 엑서지 파괴가 큰 구성 요소는 터빈 입구 압력과 작동유체에 따라 민감하게 변화하는 사실을 보여준다.

EXHAUST GAS HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR PLANT BED HEATING IN GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION

  • Hot air heater with light oil combustion is the most common heater for greenhouse heating in the winter season in Korea. However, since the heat efficiency of the heater is about 80%, considerable unused heat in the form of exhaust gas heat discharges to atmosphere. In order to capture this exhaust gas heat a heat recovery system for plant bed heating in the greenhouse was built and tested in the hot air heating system of greenhouse. The system consists of a heat exchanger made of copper pipes, ${\phi}\;12.7{\times}0.7t$ located inside the rectangular column of $330{\times}330{\times}900mm$, a water circulation pump, circulation plastic pipe and a water tame The total heat exchanger area is $1.5m^2$, calculated considering the heat exchange amount between flue gas and water circulated in the copper pipes. The system was attached to the exhaust gas path. The heat recovery system was designed as to even recapture the latent heat of flue gas when exposing to low temperature water in the heat exchanger. According to performance test it can recover 45,200 to 51,000kJ/hr depending on the water circulation rates of 330 to $690{\ell}$/hr from the waste heat discharged. The exhaust gas temperature left from the heat exchanger dropped to $100^{circ}C$ from $270^{circ}C$ by the heat exchange between the water and the flue gas, while water gained the difference and temperature increased to $38^{circ}C$ from $21^{circ}C$ at the water flow rate of $690{\ell}$/hr. And, the condensed water amount varies from 16 to $43m{\ell}$ at the same water circulation rates. This condensing heat recovery system can reduce boiler fuel consumption amount in a day by 34% according to the feasibility study of the actual mimitomato greenhouse. No combustion load was observed in the hot air heater.

  • Korea is a nation with poor natural resources. There is a greats need to save resources that are running out in fast face. The purpose of this thesis is to bind the means to save rosources in housing site, especially in highrise apartment. The reason why the high-rise apartments are chosen as a case is 7hat the high-rise is becoming the major form of dwelling in most urban areas. As a tool of saving the ecological way is chosen because ecological energy is free, clean and unlimited. The resources to be saved are divided into two categories, namely energy and non - energy resources as water, land and food. The contents of the thesis are comprised of 4 chapters. The early chaspters are devoted to the understanding of the ecosystem and problems of current energy consumption in the apartment. It is fellowed by the introduction of the hypothesis that can possibly save reouruces. The hypothesis are then transformed into the actual theories through verification, to be established as the new techniques of the site planning. The ecosystem is the functional relationship between the living organisms and their physical surroundings. The living organisms are the plants that produce, animals that consume and bacterias that decompose. They live in the environment which consists of the three worlds of atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere. The whole system is activated by the solar energy that turns the inorganic mallet- into the living organism and back to the inorganic. It is the recycling principle of the ecosystem. The elements of ecosystem that fan be unilimited as the tools of resources -saving are the sun, wind, water, soil, plant and waste. They are unlimited sources of energy. free of pollution and cheap in price. Each of these ecological elements Provide the opportunities that can save the heating fuel, air conditioning energy, water resource, land and food. The ecological approch should be pursued actively in this age of short resources and growing pollution. In the scale of total energy consumption the housing takes the second position next to the industrial use. It is followed by the transportation which shows for less consumption than former two.
