본 환자는 평소 건강하던 38세 남자환자로 기침의 증상과 X-선상 우측폐에 경화소견을 보인 예였다. CT 유도하 세침 흡인 생검법에 의한 세균학적검사와 조직 검사로 C. neoformans에 의한 폐효모균증으로 진단하여, 6주간 fluconazole 사용후 증상은 소실되었고, X-선상 많이 호전되어 현재 추적 관찰중에 있다.

Avulsion fracture of medial cuneiform by tibialis anterior tendon is quite rare. It has been reported about the avulsion fracture and surgical repair of tibialis anterior tendon rupture at distal insertion site of medial cuneiform in Korea. We report a case of right foot medial cuneiform avulsion fracture by tibialis anterior tendon after autobike accident and describe this case with a review of literature.

Traumatic dislocation of the peroneus longus tendon is an often unrecognized injury which has been reported to occur most commonly during sports activity. Most acute cases with early detection can be treated by simple repair of the tendon or retinaculum using one of several procedures available. Accurate treatment through a comprehensive evaluation of the ankle injury prevents suboptimal and sometimes unrecorrectable outcomes. The authors experienced concomitantly the peroneus longus tendon dislocation associated with a trimalleolar fracture of the ankle. We report this case a brief review of the literature.

Ossification of ligamentum flavum(OLF) is a type of ectopic bone formation developed within the spinal ligament. Thoracic myelopathy is common symptom of OLF but radiculopathy is uncommon. We present 3 operated cases of OLF. Two showed myelopathy and one radiculomyelopathy. Main symptoms were motor weakness, sensory disturbance, incoordination of both legs, and back pain. One patient complained of left girdle pain in T4 dermatome. Deep tendon reflex(DTR) was increased in all cases. The diagnosis was made from myelogram, CT and MRI. Sufficient posterior decompressive laminectomy and medial facetectomy were performed. Postoperative diagnosis was comfirmed by histopathological examination. One patient could return to work 3 months after operation and two patients showed satisfactory improvement 2-3 months after operation. Early diagnosis and appropriate surgical treatment were prerequisite of good outcome.

Gastric bezoars are concretion of undigested material in the gastrointestinal tract. In the past, gastric bezoars were generally treated with surgical management. Recently, the efficacy of oral intake or endoscopic injection therapy with Coca-Cola has been reported. We report a case of a 47-year-old-man with huge gastric bezoar ($4{\times}2.5$ cm) that was successfully removed by endoscopic fragmentation with Coca-Cola injection. Compared with a single endoscopic fragmentation therapy, the combination therapy with Coca-Cola injection shortened the procedure time and reduced the complication associated with fragmented bezoar.

Purpose: Bioabsorbable screws are used to fix the syndesmotic injury of ankle because of no need for additional operation to remove it. The purpose of this study is to assess the efficacy of polylevolactic acid (PLLA) screws of in the treatment of the syndesmotic injury of ankle. Materials and Methods: Eight patients of the syndesmotic injury of ankle with malleolar fracture were evaluated in this study. They were managed with plate and screw fixation for malleolar fracture and polylevolactic acid screw fixation for syndesmotic injury, followed by plaster splinting for 6 weeks. Clinical and radiographic evaluation were done and functional scores were assessed. Results: In all cases, malleolar fractures were healed without problematic widening of syndesmosis. There were no sinus tract formation and no wound complication. Of eight patients, five had excellent results and three had good results. Conclusion: We conclude that polylevolactic acid screw is good material for fixation of the syndesmotic injury of ankle.
