Increasing Business Service Interoperation through the WSDL Extension

  • To support business services interoperation, the BSD (Business Service Document), which is an extension of the Web Service Description Language (WSDL) the web service specification of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) was designed. The WSDL presents comprehensive standards for the interoperability of software components and W3C delegates extensions of WSDL to the users for their own purposes and objectives. In this article, BSD Creator, which can generate well-formed and valid BSDs, was designed and implemented. Also, the BSD Operation Pilot System where service providers can publish BSD specification documents and service users can search for services, was implemented and presented. BSD Creator and the BSD Operation Pilot System, which are the outcomes of this study, were assessed for their quality and usefulness using ISO/IEC 9126. The outcomes of this paper will be the basis on which industry groups can construct a Business Services Interoperation System, and are expected to contribute to the revitalization of business service interoperation.

An Enhanced SOAP Message Processing System for Mobile Web Services

  • Web services are key applications in business­to-business, business-to-customer, and enterprise applications integration solutions. As the mobile internet becomes one of the main methods for information delivery, mobile Web Services are regarded as a critical aspect of e-business architecture. In this paper, we proposed a mobile Web Services middleware that converts conventional internet services into mobile Web services. We implemented a WSDL (Web Service Description Language) builder that converts HTML/XML into WSDL and a SAOP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message processor that performs SOAP message handling, chain and handling of server requests. The former minimizes the overhead cost of rebuilding mobile Web Services and enables seamless services between wired and wireless internet services. The latter enhances SOAP processing performance by eliminating the Servlet container (Tomcat), a required component of typical Web services implementation. Our main contributions are to overcome the latency problem of current Web Services and to provide an easy mobile Web service implementation. Our system can completely support standard Web Services protocol, minimizing communication overhead, message processing time, and server overload. Finally we compare our empirical results with those of typical Web Services.

  • To make Web Services the real applications, the efficient mechanisms for Web Services discovery, Web Services composition and Web Services execution must be provided. Among these issues, especially, Web Services composition plays the key roles in Web Services applications that are loosely coupled and composed applications consisted of primitive Web Service components. In this paper we demonstrate a new Web Service composition approach using ontologies. We apply ontologies to describe Web Services information such as Web Services input/output parameters, pre conditions, post conditions and other necessary management information. In this paper, we also introduce Action ontology and Object ontology to describe the functional properties of Web Services These ontologies offer semantic description of Web Services functionalities beyond the limitation of the current WSDL. We can achieve semantic interoperabilities between heterogeneous Web Services in terms of conceptual processing and realize semantic services composition. We implement semantic Web Services composition system called Genie based on service description ontologies.

  • 웹 서비스는 사용자의 요청에 따라 솔루션을 제공하기 위해 임의로 찾아 결합될 수 있는 컴포넌트이다. 다시 말해 웹 서비스는 CBD(Component-Based Development)와 웹 형태의 결합이라 볼 수 있다. 웹 서비스는 UDDI(Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration), WSDL(Web Service Description Language), SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol)과 같은 표준화된 기술들로 이루어졌다. 이미 개발된 컴포넌트를 재사용하기 위해서는 해당 컴포넌트에 대한 정확한 정보를 토대로 테스트를 하여 조합하게 된다. 하지만, 현재 웹 서비스 기술이나 표준에서는 테스트를 위한 방법이나 데이터를 제공하고 있지 않다. 물론 WSDL 에서는 데이터의 입. 출력 값에 대한 타입은 제공하고 있지만, 이것으로는 정확한 테스트는 물론 불필요한 테스트 케이스를 증가 시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현재 웹 서비스의 명세인 WSDL 에 대해 블랙 박스 테스트를 위해 필요한 데이터 측면에 대한 문제점을 알아보고, 이를 보완할 수 있는 요구명세서를 제안함과 동시에 요구명세서의 제공 방안을 제시하였다.

  • Recently, many researchers have given high attention to the semantic web services based on the semantic web technology While existing web services use the XML-based web service description language, WSDL, semantic web services are utilizing web service description languages such as DAML-S in ontology languages. The researchers of semantic web services are generally focused on web service discovery, web service invocation, web service selection and composition, and web service execution monitoring. Especially, the semantic web service discovery as the basis to accomplish the ultimate semantic web service environment has some different properties from previous information discovery areas. Hence, it is necessary to develop the storage system and discovery mechanism appropriate to the semantic well description languages. Even though some related systems have been developed, they are not appropriate for the embedded system environment, such as intelligent robotics, in which there are some limitations on memory disk space, and computing power In this regard, we in the embedded system environment have developed the document management system which efficiently manages the web service documents described by DAML-S for the purpose of the semantic web service discovery, In addition, we address the distinguishing characteristics of the system developed in this paper, compared with the related researches.

  • 컴포넌트기반 서비스는 빠른 시간 안에 원하는 소프트웨어 제품을 적은 비용과 최소한의 시간에 생산할 수 있어 효율적인 시스템 개발 및 소프트웨어 재사용에 많은 이점을 가질 수 있다. 그러나 레거시 시스템들을 보면 대부분이 패쇄적 네트워크를 사용하고 있으며 다른 시스템 정보를 이용 할 수 가 없다. 그러나 레거시 시스템 자원을 재사용 할 수 있는 실용적인 방법론의 부재로 기존의 자원들을 재사용하지 못하고 유사 문제 영역의 시스템을 구축하기 위하여 시스템을 완전교체(Replacement)하고 있다.[1] 이런 문제점의 대안으로 떠오르고 있는 것이 웹 서비스이다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스의 개념과 웹 서비스에 적용하기 위한 레거시 컴포넌트의 자동화된 명세 생성을 통해 WSDL(Web Services Description Language)의 문제점을 보완하고 기존의 레거시 컴포넌트를 재사용 하므로 확장성과 자원의 재사용성을 극대화 할 수 있는 방법을 제시 하였다.

  • As computer-related technologies have been developed, legacy design systems have not been appropriate far new computing environment. It is necessary that most of them are either modified or newly developed. However, these activities require quite much amount of cost and time. This paper presents a method of extending legacy design systems to the internet without any modification using XML and XSLT. We have been extended legacy systems in the two viewpoints. First, an XML document has been defined to present the input information of a legacy system which is executed on the consol environment - MS DOS, for example. Also, an XSLT document has been generated to transform an XML document to the input document of the legacy system An XML document is transformed to the input document by XSLT processor according to the transformation rules defined in the XSLT document. This technique to generate input documents is independent to the platform type and facilitates to link legacy systems to other systems. Second, a legacy system controller has been made to control a legacy system and developed a web service to extend it and its controller. The legacy system controller operates it automatically. The web service provides its functions to other systems via internet. We have applied the developed methodologies to the legacy gear design system 조ich calculates AGMA gear rating md made AGMA gem rating web service.

Design and Implementation of Peer-to-Peer Electronic Commerce Systems based on the File Sharing Method between Users (이용자간 파일공유방식에 기반한 P2P 전자상거래 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Peer-to-peer systems (P2P) are rapidly growing in importance on the Internet environment, quickly extending the range of their usage. However, peer-to-peer systems have not been widely applied in electronic commerce because they have not been established as an appropriate business model. Therefore, we firstly review the previous research relevant to peer-to-peer systems, and then analyze the business models for P2P systems presented by previous researchers. Furthermore, this study categorizes major issues in terms of the technical and business model aspects. On the basis of these reviews, we develop P2P electronic commerce systems based on the file sharing method between users, focusing on user interface friendliness. A developed P2P electronic commerce systems are programmed by using the C# based on the Microsoft.net solution. A database is implemented using the MSSQL2000. A main application technology is designed that P2P electronic commerce systems make it possible. for user to extend into BtoB Solution by using WSDL (Web Services Description Language), UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration) and the XML that is a document for users. User interface is made as form of Internet messenger for a user's convenience and is possible to develop into a commodity transaction system based on XML. In this study, it is possible for the P2P electronic commerce system to have extended application to fields such as Internet shopping mall and property transaction in a nonprofit organization, a public institution and a large scale nonprofit institution that have a similar structure as compared with a structure of a nonprofit educational institution.

Development of a Hierarchical HydroG-OneFlow Web Services of River GeoSpatial Information (하천공간정보의 계층적 HydroG-OneFlow 웹서비스 개발)

  • 본 연구에서는 하천공간정보의 웹서비스를 위해 SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol) API 및 REST(Representation State Transfer) API로 제공하는 HydroG-OneFlow 웹서비스를 개발하였다. HydroG-OneFlow는 GML 기반의 서비스를 제공하며 GetBasin, GetGeoVariable 및 GetData 등의 기본서비스로 구성된다. GML은 GIS S/W의 벡터 GML 포맷과 공간정보 오픈플랫폼 서비스인 브이월드 데이터 API에서 제공하는 GML 포맷을 참고하여 하천공간 벡터정보를 제공할 수 있도록 GML을 구성하였다. GDM 공간 데이터에 대한 벡터정보 ML 수용 수준을 향상시킬 수 있도록 벡터구조의 점, 선, 면 정보에 대하여 GML의 PointPropertyType, CurvePropertyType, SurfacePropertyType을 도입하였다. 또한 일반적인 공간자료에서는 Multi 객체에 대한 지원도 필요하다. 현 GDM 데이터베이스에서도 OGC 표준의 MultiPoint, MultiLineString, MultiPolygon을 지원하고 있다. 이를 위하여 GML의 상응 요소인MultiPointPropertyType, MultiCurvePropertyType, MultiSurfacePropertyType을 하천공간정보 벡터 스키마에 도입하여 활용하였다. 클라이언트 서버 통신은 메시지 교환프로토콜인 SOAP을 사용하여 서버의 객체를 직접 호출하여 이루어진다. 서버는 서버의 제공 서비스를 WSDL(Web Service Description Language)를 통하여 게시하고 클라이언트는 이 기준(Criteria)을 참고하여 접근한다. GetData의 경우 Type(GRID or VECTOR), GDM(Geospatial Data Model) 여부(true or false), LayerName, BasinID, GenTime을 인자로 받아 GeoData에서 검색된 정보를 반환한다. SOAP버전은 1.1과 1.2를 지원하여 접근하는 클라이언트에서 선택할 수 있도록 개발하였다.
